also Jenette McCurdy's biogrpahy is free on audible (ok free trial. but still i could listen to the audiobook for free) so I might gather up my courge (given the topics discussed) and actually listen to it. When I mentioned it to my mom she got so excited (bc i know bits and pieces abt what she talks abt in the book its like literally... some things 1:1 how my mom talks abt my grandma and we discussed it)

Like it would be nice bc i could help my mom and also that book was kind of essential in my own realization abt having an ED... entirely different one than the one discussed w different impact on my health too but yk...

What happens after we die?. A question that has been running around my mind for some time. No better place to turn then to the Biogrpahy of Dr Carl Jung titled Memories,Dreams,Reflections. lets start to unpack chapter 11 of this book, and see if we cant come up with some sort of answer.

When authors are like "I could have written 15 books on this!" Okay keep your secrets (yeah yeah bibliography whateverr) but also it's not even a 101 book. But I bet nonfiction stans HATE 101 books like imagine liking mountains and every book is a biogrpahy of Mallory and Irvine. Yes yes but every book doesn't have to be about one thing they can be niche. Probably true NF stans know where to get non niche books and im NOT saying the one im reading IS non-niche it's VERY interesting but I'm not telling

BIOGRPAHY:

Before becoming a New York resident, Nieve had never been on dry land and the original plan was that she never would. Nieve was the youngest of three children born to Raina and Sol. When Raina died, Sol remarried and had two more children with his second wife. Out of the five children, Nieve was the only daughter. Her father was the alpha but decided going back and forth between the land and the water was too taxing. He stepped down, passing the mantle to nieve's eldest brother Ronan.

Ronan was the alpha for a few hundred years before he died under mysterious circumstances. The evidence screamed murder, but not in a traditional sense. The people who found him said he appeared to have been held captive and kept away from water until he died. He'd also been decapitated, but they were pretty sure that had happened post mortem.

After his demise, Nieve's other older brother Declan took his place. He also lasted a few hundred years until he died in a similar manner. It was assumed that the elder of Nieve's two younger brothers would become the next alpha but at the last minute, Sol declared that it would be her.

No one was more surprised than she was at this decision. Having been given no explanation, Nieve assumed that with the death of the rest of her family, it had become hard for Sol to have her around. With absolutely no experience on land, Nieve made her way to New York City.

Nieve modernized her family's empire to keep up with the times by building a company that specialized in importing and exporting goods worldwide to strategically mask any dirty work going on behind the scenes. For the most part, she built the company and gained trust without using her gifts and also hired people from other species to work in the company. According to people who'd been around for a while, it was very different from how her brothers had done things.

While on the surface it seems like Nieve's biggest issue is being a woman in power in a predominantly man's world, but a deeper threat looms. It can't be a coincidence that both of her brothers died similarly, in a manner specific to sirens. Were they killed by the same people? Having died hundreds of years apart, are those people still around? And most importantly… is Nieve next?

Back Story:

Long ago a dungeon showed up near the village of Atenia, in that village a woman named Ka'dan, her best friend, and a few others villagers decided to explore the new tower that had appeared overnight. They decided at dusk they would enter, the dungeon and see what all it held, they never expected to be transported to a strange world with shadow creatures and animals wandering about.

After some time and tireless trials only Ka'dan and her best friend are alive. finding the treasure room Ka'dan and her friend notice a giant blue woman lounging on pillows seemingly to be fast asleep. in a fit of greed Ka'dan’s friend stabs her while her back is turned, shocked and confused Ka'dan watches as her supposed friend gathers up all of the treasure and tries to leave, but the sleeping giant opens her eyes and states that she has seen their memories and their hearts and that the backstabber has failed in the test and has heard the wish of revenge from Ka'dan.

Ka'dan having felt hatred and betrayal towards her ex-best friend for doing this to her begs the now known Djinn to curse the now ex-friend. The in an effort to save Ka'dan merges with her to make a new djinn of the dungeon letting the now the revived Ka'dan to place a curse on the person mummifying them where they stand.sadly the curse carries out and into Ka'dan’s village mummifying all of her village except her family which into turn fled from the village to never return, and the now djinn of the dungeon turns the village into her own for someone to come and try to conquer.
