A pretty mess. There are days when my office looks like this. Today is not one of those days ➡️ Today my office looks like a pressing and cutting table full of paperwork and planning and creating in a different way. The first pic was taken by @alexaligns at a Final Fitting Photoshoot for a Custom Dress I was so honored to create this summer. There’s so much planning and preparation that happens before I even get to the designing part of a gown, let alone that glorious final shoot! The sunny glow of a sunflower field bathing a side scene of supplies feels very much like an image worthy of sharing on a rainy fall day. But it is these rainy days that allow me to dream of future photo shoots, future custom creations, future clients, and future experiences steeped in connection and beauty and expression and understanding. A pretty mess is more enjoyable to the eye, but that pile of plans holds more beauty than any one project. I am so grateful for all of the beautiful clients, fabulous projects, inspired collections and enriching events Themis and Thread has been a part of over the past EIGHT years!
