Yesterday I finally took some photos of Caspar and the raven. I decided to show Caspar as a fighter. He's skilled with daggers and sabre. He's a wanderer so he has to protect himself from villains and dangerous creatures. He also has a mysterious guardian - a raven watching him from afar. That raven has metallic shiny feathers and ruby eyes. Caspar doesn't know why the bird follows him but somehow he feels the raven's not evil.

I have to say it's very tricky to find decent props at a good price. Since I couldn't find 1/4 scale daggers, I had to use some metal charms. The miniature replica of Polish sabre from 1921 looks much better, though it's too heavy for the doll to wield it. The raven's also too small for my boy. I suppose the perspective can do the trick in the photos. I customised the bird a little. I used copper antique paste on its feathers and painted the eyes ruby red. Well, it's actually more magenta but since natural rubies do have such hue, I guess it's OK. Nevertheless, I like how it all turned out.

I made a bunch of Ball-jointed doll ocs ages ago and then promptly never did anything with them for years. They just sat in my phone notes, gathering dust. 

But recently I dusted them off and drew one of them, Dopo! 

Much more reserved than most of the other in Attalier’s collection, Dopo has the one braincell (Beside’s Atta’s) that’s holding the entire operation together.

Last weekend I took Tristan to the nearby theatre's backyard. The theatre is located in a former garbage truck garage, therefore there are some devices left on the site. I thought those devices could be a nice background for my Tristan since he's a skyship mechanic. Unfortunately one of the devices is hidden in a bush right next to the fence so I couldn't avoid some unwanted objects (like a car) in the photo. However I liked the rust-coloured cogs and that steampunk mood they create. The red machine wasn't as interesting but you can imagine it's a skyship engine or something like that. Anyway, I'm pretty satisfied with Tristan's photoshoot.

I have something amazing to show!!:D So in december or november 2022, amazing doll artist Kannyan/Jaybuns on instagram reached out to me with a proposition for a BJD collab! I had been following their work and was already in love with their work so I could only say yes! And so now, over a year later, we can start to introduce "Celeste" (and her lovely twin "Celestin"!) We still have a way to go since we only recently got the first test for their clothings and to make sure everything work but LOOK AT THEM!! I am so enamoured with them already!
