Summary: The one where Chan ends up in the hospital because of you, but what happened puts your relationship in a different

Warning: MISCARRIAGE, unknown pregnancy, angst, hurt/comfort, established relationship.

A/N:  I hate tumblr SO MUCH, like why is it so hard to put something together??? Anyways, this originally was going to be an ot8 imagine but i wrote this like 5 months ago on march (i've been gone way too long, damn) anyways, hope you like it, i'm trying to post like 6 or 7 drafts this next week because semester is starting again on the 16th.

The moment Bang Chan heard the words "Y/N" and "hospital" falling from his managers mouth he did not doubt a second to drop the recording session and get to you. On the whole drive to the ER, he was stressing out, borderline freaking, he was picking on his already short nails, taking out pieces of skin from his lips with his teeth. He was a ball of stress.

The manager left him at the front door of the ER while he searched for a place to park in, and the moment he put a foot on the concrete he was sprinting inside like his live depended on it. Chan was talking so fast and felt so worried he forgot to switch from Australian English to Korean and the nurse at the front desk was greeted by some weird mix of both, words being ran over by more words.

Chan forced himself to calm down before talking again, only to get stressed once again when the nurse told him that you were now resting on the observation wing.

When he arrived and the nurse took him to your bed he felt his heart break into pieces when he saw you; your eyes were red fixed to your lap as your hands played with the hem of the hospital gown you were given to wear, which reached past your knees except on the part you scrunched up in your fists, your nose was runny and your whole aura was dimmed down by lots.

"Y/N..." He called softly as the nurse closed the curtains behind him; even though he was worried to death he didn't wanted to add any of his own stress onto you; silently, he walked over to pull the chair closer to your bed before sitting down on it, leaning closer and extending his arm to try and grab your hand, waiting for your reaction to his touch in case you didn't wanted him to.

"Are you okay?" He asked, his long fingers delicately sneaking between yours when your hands moved close enough to graze his, brown eyes trying really hard to meet your lost gaze. "What happened?" But he was met by silence, his own gaze scanning every movement you made cautiously, spotting how your fingers where cold, the IV on your hand was slowly freaking him out. "Honey?"

"I'm sorry..." Was all you could mutter out, Chan hearing perfectly fine how raspy and strained your voice was, trying hard not to break again. "I'm so sorry, Chan."

"What are you sorry for? You didn't do wrong, just... what happened? Why are we in the hospital?" He asked, his stomach scrunching more each second that passed. As soon as he saw your eyes watering, he stopped pushing, he stood up to sit beside you on the bed, engulfing you between his arms so you could rest your head in his chest, sobs leaving you in pure silence, a silence so loud it hurt him even more.

He felt absolutely clueless and confused, he didn't know what was happening, but he understood that he needed to be there for you.

"I had a miscarriage." You say between silent sobs, hands holding onto his now damp shirt, feeling how he tensed under your touch, it only made you want to cry more. "I was pregnant, and I lost the baby Chan."

"You... you were pregnant?" He whispers, needing the reassurance that he heard what he heard.

"I was, yeah, I’m sorry I didn't know, I- I didn't knew." You sob again, a bit louder and cry in his chest.

"Don’t be sorry love, it's not your fault, none of this is your fault, stop apologizing." He says, words entering through his ears and his brain trying to comprehend them, a weigh settling on his chest the more time passed.

You on the other hand didn't even knew why you were crying now; you just were and the mixed feeling inside of your chest weren't helping at all. "I don't even know how I should feel Chan, we lost a child." You mutter, head resting on his chest as he processed the situation.

"I... I don't know either, but we.... we can get through this, I- wow." He tried to comfort you but couldn't, he was going to be a father, you both were almost having a child. His silence makes you look up, spotting small tears at the brim of his eyes, which were blank and deep in thought, fixed on the IV tube on your arm.

"Chan? What happened?"

"Nothing, I... we are going to get through this, love, just... I'm just processing it all."

You spent the whole next day on the hospital recovering with Chan besides you at all times, both of you still analyzing what happened. Needless to say, that after you got thumbs up to leave and got home you two had probably the deepest and most serious talk of your relationship, in each other's embrace processing what had happened and what that meant for your relationship.

"That baby was our kid, and we will always carry him with us, and what occurred is just another step we have to take in our lives to keep on growing, Chan." You say, sat between his legs as you played with his hear, both of your eyes puffy as your loss had already sunk down in your hearts.

"We... we now have a little angel watching over us. I didn't even know we had them, but I miss them." He said, eyes fixed on yours. "I know, I feel it too, but we have to be strong, for them." You say back, repeating the words the nurse had told you when you received the news. "We have to be strong for our little angel."
