You know what hurts my emotions?
Episode XI of Black Sails when James comes home to Miranda but then stops outside the window to watch her teaching music to the children and smiling to himself at the scene.
He’s probably thinking back to episode IV when Miranda was crying because there was no joy or music in Nassau.
But she’s found a soft echo of it here.
Then sadly he realizes, that if he walks in, that little scene would be ruined by a terrifying pirate.
So he leaves the book, turns away and fades back into the night, leaving Miranda to her small moment of joy.

Black Sails is so obvious with the being of Mrs. Barlows/Flints relationship if you only dare to take a second look
What the show wants you to believe: Her and Flint are lovers
What story we hear: Mrs. Hamilton had an affair and ran away with her lover (aka Flint)
What is actually shown, in the same episode... right at the start (!): Flint who only has sex with Mrs. Barlow for HER pleasure. Flint who can not even touch or hug Barlow while having sex. Leave alone enjoy the sex. Who never shares a romantic speech with her. So far he collapsed on her floor and gave her a kiss on the forhead.
Lovers my ass. I know some people says Flint and the Hamiltons are a poly relationship, but at least the four episodes I have watched so far do not give off any vibes that Flint is interest in Mrs. Hamilton.
Straights need to really deep down the hetero hole to believe Barlow/Flint would end with each other
Drop spoilers and I will battle you with my sword
