N - By the time you “get there”, it will be nightfall. I told you to let me do the parallel parking.

S - Patience. I am simply ensuring that we are within the lines.

N - We were within the lines the last few times you went in.

S - Nonsense! The back wheel went over. I saw.

N - Turn the wheel harder, and earlier.

S - Hmph. Going with the front in might be easier, actually.

N - Simon. Are we driving a car or a snail? Let me do the parking.

After several unsuccessful incursions, Simon falls back. It’s not a full retreat, but he puts enough distance between them for Nahyuta to know their strategy is working. Prosecutor Blackquill relies on his strength and reflexes. He relies on his opponent being slow and weak, on them having little to no experience in a real fight so he can knock them down without putting in any real effort. It’s clear to Nahyuta that he doesn’t have much experience in real fights - at least, not ones involving blades - and, by extension, doesn’t have much experience with keeping up his stamina. They have to bite the inside of their cheek to stop themself from smirking as Simon shrugs off his jacket and tie, face flushed as he dumps them unceremoniously on the floor in a corner and–

Oh.

Oh. Oh no.

Perhaps it’s just because it had been hidden under the several layers of clothes he wears in court, or perhaps they’re only just focusing on it now, but Nahyuta is suddenly realising that Simon is… extremely well-built.

Comic featuring Simon and Athena having the following conversation:

A - Simon, you remember Prosecutor Sahdmadhi, right?

S - Regrettably. Why? I take it you saw the Sad Monk over in Khura’in.

A - We did, we did! Well, there was a whole buncha stuff that happened but... I’m so happy we managed to reunite the royal family!

There’s a pause. 

S - The what.

A - The royal family. You know, of Khura’in? Princess Rayfa is Nahyuta’s little sister. Didn’t you watch the news?

They both face the TV behind Simon, which is saying, “And now, a word from the Regent of Khura’in...”

Nahyuta shows up on screen. “Please, just ‘Nahyuta’ is fine.”

Simon whips back around to face Athena, bewildered.

A - You didn’t know?! What kind of rock have you been living under?!! Simon, this was like world news for the past 3 weeks, where on earth have you BEEN?

Simon slurps his noodles loudly and does not answer.
