Neteyam x reader-
GENRES: slow burn cz yes??, (e2L-> frenemies2lovers),  ANGST, (LOVE SQUARE ft. Neteyam x y/n, Loak x y/n, Spider x y/n), 18+ MINORSSS DNI for obvious reasons, may have sm*t in the next chapters, fluff ofcourse we cant leave that out, there will be warnings in the next chapters if said so, AND MORE DESCRIPTIONS AND DETTAILS WOULD BE SAID BEFORE CHAPTER, IDK WHAT ELSE BUT IMMA JUST LEAVE THIS HERE FIRST AS ISSS
A/n: JUST TO CLARIFY this series will follow some of the events of atwow aka the war that happens,  AND DONT WORRY YALL as much as yall know what happens to know neteyam in the ending no it will not happen here to keep ur hearts contented cz I know yall are not okay still. OTHER THAN THAT, Y/N here has no specific race so to respect everyone's way of reading, I'll only mention the appearance of Y/N based on what she wears for now, but let me know if you have suggestions in the future !! And as youve read the prologue of this series, Y/N is the daughter of Trudy- and I know a lot of series opt for  Norm or Max as one of the dad's, but I'll be making my own story of how Y/N is the daughter of Trudy, because one, she's a badass, two, I have a plan for how I want her to be brought up into this series/story- That being said! I hope all of you guys would be able to read this once I start making chapters- For now- here's the synopsis and Pilot chapter!
Extraordinary You
(Ik this one is a kdrama but I'm also sort of inspiring it for this series so SHUSH for whoever says smthn)
Tumblr media
——————————♡——————————
Being born in a different planet that is practically impossible for your kind to live in is surely the most shocking thing someone would hear from another, but not for Y/N. No. Out of all the things she would be worried about? It's definitely not being in Pandora- that until a certain someone comes into the story.
Y/n has had her fair share meetings with the navi people, that being part of the specific humans who were allowed to stay on pandora through the famous Jake Sully of the Omaticayan people, the Olo'eyktan of the Omaticayan people, and the ever great Toruk Makto. That being said, being the (somewhat adopted) daughter of one of the recomms and  good ol' friend of Jake, Trudy Chacon, its not a surprise that Y/n has already met their family, including the children- well- except for one, that is Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk'itan- Prince of Omaticaya, The fierce son of Toruk Makto, The perfect little soldier- blah blah blah, you name it.
Y/n has always wished to become one of the people, and maybe even more. Stuck in a planet where your kind couldn't possibly live was a life Y/N had grew up living normal to. Learning the ways of the navi people (through research) but hopes to learn it differently was a dream Y/N has always longed for. To learn and become one of the people..
So when the time comes and two fates meet- who will say that it's not just destiny that brings them together?
(3rd person POV *YOU'RE SAYING THIS !* )
Hey! Probably an interesting way of starting this story here, something like breaking the fourth wall? I don't know- forget about my rambles but, My name is Y/N Chacon, and I live in Pandora.
Yep- that's right- it's not every day you realise that you became apart of a world wide astronomical party to fly out to this foreign planet to make it liveable for every possible human being, well- that's basically how my parents got here, I was just born here. Now you're probably wondering why lil' ol' me right there- the one that's basically struggling to get a hold of a vine 10,000 feet above a floating mountain has come to this-? Let's rewind a bit-

25. Iron and Phosphorous
Series: Fullmetal Alchemist ( Brotherhood ) Word count: 3,019 Warning: Blood ig?? Authors Note: I really dont like this chapter that much but it was one of those “ this needs to be written this way to make the story progress the way i want it to” and I’m learning that not everything I write is going to be 100% perfect and some chapters are just duds!!! so yeah anyways ( i couldn’t even be bothered to find a preview for this chapter lmfao )
The search had continued, despite the endeavors remaining fruitless. If this had been anyone else, the search would have ended and the persons whereabouts would be dismissed. After all, they weren’t particularly fond of wasting their time on sniveling, pathetic humans.
Yet, Father insisted this one was important, so they remained committed.
The dark barren streets didn’t offer much indication as to where she could’ve gone, and Lust’s charm only took her so far. Often the men would just end up lying, insisting their information was so valuable that Lust should sleep with them in order to get it. This resulted in their skulls being pierced and their bodies dropped off behind a random dumpster to be found in the morning, to which Lust barely batted an eyelash at. Men were below her, and their death was just one of many things that failed to stir any emotion out of the alabaster beauty. Envy returned, flustered and irritated – Kijo had called Leo’s house, but just as they were about to get her location out of her the phone had cut out. Envy had crushed the receiver in a fit of rage, throwing it clear across the room. Thankfully, the old bat was knocked out cold by her medication, and Leo hadn’t been in the house to find Envy throwing their tantrum. Not that they’d cared; if the blond had stumbled in on Envy, the living room would’ve been painted red.
“There was a lot of chatting in the background,” was all they had managed to gather from the phone call, their teeth gritted in obvious fury, “ and she was slurring. She could barely talk.”
“ She’s at a bar,” Lust deduced, tapping her finger to her chin. Yet, at this hour, most bars would be closed. It wasn’t like Dublith had the most exciting night scene. Most of the townsfolk were honest tradesmen and women, waking in the early hours to work.
The night belonged to the criminals anyways, and most law abiding citizens didn’t want to be caught in their affairs.
There was one place where they were all welcome to congregate, well into the morning hours, but none of the homunculi wanted to tread there. Yet, with a certain sense of desperation about them, it seemed likely it would be unavoidable. Lust and Envy clearly shared this thought as their eyes met. Envy sneered,
“ I’m not stepping foot in that rats bar,” they growled, their fists clenching at their side. Lust hummed to herself as she turned away, peering down the street in the direction they were to walk should they decided to investigate the Devil’s Nest.
“ It’s not ideal, I know--”
“ Not ideal? That bastard is a real pain in my ass!” Envy barked. “ I wanna rip his spine straight out of his throat for what he did to me. In fact-- ”
“ I recommend you not let your personal feelings get involved right now,” Lust’s voice was sharp, making Envy stop in the middle of their rant, “ I realize you two have a rather complicated history, but we need to focus on our objective right now.”
Envy opened their mouth to argue but realized she was right. Kijo was the main focus, whether Envy liked to admit it or not, and every minute that went by without them finding her was another minute that further increased Father’s disappointment. And a disappointed Father was a dangerous one. They fell silent.
Shouting drew their attention back towards the end of the street. With a quick, shared glance, the trio began walking along the cobblestone, the shouting getting louder and louder. It was definitely coming from the Devil’s Nest; as they came to a stop at the rise of steps adjacent to the street, the homunculi could see people pouring out of the door, the shouting accompanied by the sounds of physical conflict within the bar. Envy laughed.
“ Hm, it seems we’re missing out on quite the party,” Lust mused, leaning against the railing of the stairs. She moved aside as a pair of humans stumbled passed her, vaguely making out, “ they’re shooting up the place!” in between their panicked slurring. She rolled her eyes.
“ I can smell her.”
Lust and Envy whipped their heads around in Gluttony’s direction, finding the portly man sniffing at the air like a bloodhound. At first, his eyes were closed in focus, his bulbous nose wiggling against his face before he flashed his teeth hungrily and his eyes snapped open. It’d been hard to pick out against the scent of everyone else’s blood, but hers had a distinct, sweet tinge to it that he would never forget.
“ She’s dying! “
Kijo was reminded of a conversation she’d had with her father when she was younger, back when she was all braids and missing teeth and sassy remarks. Kijo had always been a curious thing – the generational curse, it seemed – and she ruminated over things children probably shouldn’t have been thinking about.
Her father had always been eager to feed her inquisitive mind, so he didn’t bat an eyelash when Kijo had asked what it felt like to be shot.
“ It feels like being punched, very hard. And then, your body will begin burning – it doesn’t feel good.”
What an understatement, Kijo thought as she fell against the door, struggling to catch the breath that’d left her. This was different. Like her entire lower half was contorting and twisting in pain, the muscles in her pelvis were constricting and tightening and she couldn’t will them to move no matter how hard she tried. This wasn’t a burning pain. It was something else entirely, something she failed to have the words for.
Some obscenity flew out of her mouth as she dropped down to the ground but she refused to let the tears brimming her eyes fall. Instead, Kijo barred her teeth and managed to look over her shoulder in Alonzo’s direction.
“Wha--”
The spike was gone, leaving the man standing. Kijo remembered when she’d used her alchemy on Envy that first time, when she’d tried fusing them to the wall, that the alchemy had fallen away due to her lack of experience in proper alchemical structure; Kijo had grown cocky and it came to bite her in the ass. Again. Alonzo was delighted.
“Not so big and tough anymore, are you?” Alonzo managed out. His resolve didn’t last long. His body crumbled beneath the weight of his pain and they both found themselves staring at each other on the floor.
Kijo’s chest heaved; had she ever been in pain like this? Her core ached as she recalled Father’s concrete serpent that had practically chewed her in half and she scoffed, “ I’ve had worse.”
That procured a curious eyebrow raise from Alonzo. Looks could be deceiving, he knew that, but what could be worse than being shot? His curiosity about Kijo only grew stronger.
That’s where the two found themselves. Bleeding all over the storage room floor, adding to the rust colored stains Kijo had noticed earlier when she’d first came darting in. Staring at each other to see who was going to pass out first.
Unfortunately for Alonzo, he was underestimating Kijo once again. This time, in particular, her stubbornness. She fought the tunneling darkness that ate away at her vision and began dragging herself, attempting to get to the side of the door. If she could get to the hallway, maybe, just maybe--
“ You’ll only bleed out faster that way,” Alonzo mumbled. Kijo cursed under her breath and stopped, realizing he was right; she’d left a thick trail of blood as she’d dragged her body. How much blood could the human body lose again? Her tingling fingers told her she was close to the threshold.
“So, what,” Kijo’s body trembled, “ we just gonna sit here and watch each other die? Is that the plan?”
Alonzo chuckled in an attempt to hide his nerves. The blood loss was certainly catching up. His hands and feet had long since grown cold. His heart was pumping hard in his chest, desperate to replace the blood he’d lost, but it was useless. It was simply pouring back out of his wounds. Kijo let her head fall back against the concrete of the wall,
“ You’re such a fucking asshole. Men like you are the fucking worst. You can’t go down without dragging someone else down with you,” Kijo’s words were sharp but they hardly had any affect on Alonzo. In fact, his expression was empty as he listened to her talk, his eyes watching her carefully.
She certainly wasn’t wrong. Alonzo was a man with few principles and morals, and he wasn’t afraid to admit when the shoe fit. The man couldn’t deny that they’d all wound up in a position he hadn’t expected to be in when he woke up that morning, but the payout from a job well done had been extremely appealing. So who was he to turn it down?
Yet, it seemed he’d wind up being the one to pay a heavy price. Even if he survived this, he still had his own boss to answer to. Maybe Alonzo had limited principles, but the man he answered to was much more depraved than he was. He would be killed off for his failure to successfully collect payment from Greed the Avaricious.
Alonzo had been warned, too. He knew who Greed was, obviously – he’d been the one to make the deal with him. It wasn’t Alonzo’s job to collect payment, only to reinforce it, so he hadn’t been expecting much when they’d arrived at The Devil’s Nest and he’d seen Greed proudly displaying this girl like a trophy. That’s why he’d just decided to use her. He figured if this woman was so special to Greed, then it’d make the night go smoothly and he’d be home in no time.
Instead, he was bleeding out on the floor of some storage room with that same girl, both of them feeling abandoned and discarded.
Alonzo adjusted his body, sitting back on his rear.
“ You’re not wrong,” he whispered out. Kijo’s head jerked up curiously in response.
“… Not really the response I was expecting.”
“ What, you want me to point the finger at someone else?” Kijo glanced away for a moment before she shrugged and Alonzo gave a dry laugh, “ I could. I absolutely could. I certainly wasn’t expecting the night to go like this, and if I’d known you would’ve been such a handful, I wouldn’t have dragged you into it at all.”
Kijo clicked her tongue but didn’t bother responding.
“ You’ve lost a lot of blood,” Alonzo eyed the puddle that had formed around Kijo and noted her ashen face, “ most would have passed out by now. You’re a lot tougher than I thought you’d be. You realize that, right?”
“ Thanks, ” Kijo mumbled out. She didn’t feel very tough. In fact, the pain had long since subsided and all she wanted to do in that moment was fall asleep. But sleep was the enemy, because with it came the threat of death. Or worse.
They’ll find me.
Just the thought was enough to make her bare her teeth and begin moving again. Sitting stagnant certainly guaranteed either outcome, so she had no choice but to try moving. The pain ripped through her abdomen and she gasped out. Alonzo shook his head,
“Are you stupid? You’ll die at the rate you’re going--”
“I’ll die if I stay here!” Her voice came out like a snarl and Alonzo wasn’t sure if the goosebumps he got were from her tone or from the blood loss. Nothing was adding up about this person. She had some sort of relationship with Greed, yet she was an Alchemist. But, she was also a fugitive, with a rather generous bounty on her head. An enemy of the state? A former militant? No, she clearly didn’t have much combat training. Her attitude was much larger than her body, too, but that didn’t make her much of a threat on it’s own. There were always conspiracies regarding questionable experiments the government was conducting on innocent civilians and former soldiers. Alonzo recalled one in particular, where a man had supposedly turned his own wife into a chimera – but that was a rumor with no proof to fall back on, so Alonzo wrote it off as mindless gossip. Yet, as he watched Kijo struggle further, he couldn’t help but wonder...
“You’re innocent, aren’t you?”
Kijo froze.
“Whatever it is that they want you arrested for – you didn’t do it, and that’s why you’re running. Because if they catch you, they’ll kill you?”
Kijo actually wasn’t sure, but Father had toyed with her life once before and she didn’t doubt that he’d do it again. All she knew was that if they did catch her, she wasn’t sure what would happen to her, and that uncertainty was enough to get her adrenaline pumping. She couldn’t risk being caught. Because, in her own experience, escape only became harder the second time around.
Alonzo took her silence as a sign that he was right and he sighed, dropping his head. It wasn’t like he cared much about this girl, yet… There was something infectious about her tenacity, and he couldn’t help but at least respect that.
“ Turn right and keep going until you get to a dead end,” Kijo’s head jerked up and she looked back over her shoulder, eyes widened with surprise, “ There will be a door that will take you to a pair of stairs. Follow those stairs and you should find yourself just on the outskirt of town, near the hospital.”
Kijo almost questioned his intentions, but she found it hard to believe he’d lead her astray with no benefit to him. Like he said earlier – none of this was really personal. To him, it was just another day on the job. Hell, she’d hoped he was going to bleed out earlier, and that wasn’t personal either. The two of them were just trying to survive being roped into a situation neither of  them wanted to be in to begin with.
Still, it wasn’t enough to garner sympathy from Kijo. He’d shot her, after all. But she took his directions seriously and nodded before she gathered all of her strength and pulled at the cellar door.
It dragged across the concrete heavily, and Kijo thought her abdomen was going to burst from the resistance, but she finally managed to pull it open just enough so she could slide her body through. Alonzo watched on and closed his eyes only when she finally disappeared. He sighed.
“ The Boss is going to kill me. “
At least there weren’t any more gunshots, but if any more of Alonzo’s buddies were wandering the hallways, Kijo would be in trouble. She wobbled slowly, propping herself up against the wall as she went.
The only thing on her mind was Alonzo’s instructions and she cursed herself for not being able to move faster. The hallway seemed to drag on forever; was she even sure there would be a door waiting for her at the end?
You can’t exactly turn back.
Oh great. I was wondering when you’d show back up, Kijo bit. Honestly, your timing is just terrible.
There was a laugh. Like bells ringing. Kijo felt her heart skip a beat.
That is not the first time I’ve been told that.
Despite Kijo’s grumbling, she found relief in hearing the voice. What she’d first assumed to be her subconscious conspiring against her had turned into a source of comfort; not that she would admit it, of course.
Just keep going. You’ll be okay when you get to a hospital.
And then what? You said earlier that I need to go back. I’m supposed to go back to Leo, right?
No, there was a pause. You need to go back to Father.
“ Fuck no!”
Kijo’s voice echoed loudly through the hallway. The surprise of the voice’s response had forced her to a halt and her hand had formed into a fist against the wall. It took all of her willpower to not start pounding her knuckles into it.
“Are you fucking kidding me?! If I go back, I’m as good as dead! Or worse! I...”
Envy flashed through her mind. Their mocking tone, their shit eating grin, the way they continuously patronized and belittled her. Her heart pounded, weak but painful, and she was certain her wound was bleeding more in response, but she didn’t care. The voice urged her to calm down.
“ No, I will not calm down! I’m not going back to that – that--….” Kijo’s head spun and she dropped down to her knees, her hand uncurling and dragging pitifully against the wall in an attempt to stop her falling. “ Ehh...”
The voice was still talking but at this rate, Kijo could no longer make sense of what it was saying. Her vision was tunneling. Kijo dropped forward, her eyes leveling with the floor.
“I can’t… I can’t go back...” She mumbled. Desperation was the only thing pulling her body forward at that point, but she knew it was fruitless. She hadn’t even found the stupid fucking door. She was going to die, alone, in that damp hallway, and her final moments were spent entering into some blood loss-induced psychosis where she argued with a voice inside her head. Not much different from how she went out in her world. It seemed the fate had other plans, however, and she heard a voice. Different than the one in her head. Familiar all the same.
“Oh, there you are.”
Kijo managed to lift her chin, narrowing her eyes to focus on the pair of violet orbs that peered down at her. There was a flicker of amusement in them. She felt little comfort.
“ I’ve been looking everywhere for you.”

again but better thoughts while reading
@polandbananas20
so my spelling is terrible in this but you know i was more focused on the book than how to spell.
Chapter 1) good intro and good starting tone. The lady next to her sucks. Good small establishment of shane.
chapter2)shane characterisation is still consistent. I like her two new roommates (will be best friends) . My guess is the boy in the kitchen will be pilot. Family means but not intentional. Has no confidence. I was right about the boy
Chapter 3) intro of pilot properly. He's good. I love the inner monologue of shane. Trying to keep eye contact, the surprise of having a normal conversation. It sets her character well. Intro to her blog which i would love to actually read (i hope there's at least one entry we can read) pilot is a musician but not. Business major. What crap.
Chapter 4) i really feel like shane, she is just typical fangirl/ dork and i love it. Its weird being english and reading about the things that shock them like pasta in bags.i understand the watermelon.we do get to read ‘shanes writing’ but its her personal jornal not her blog.
Chapter 5) fun chapter. Intro to rome. Love the idea that shane is heavy handed and violent. Short, not alot happened other than small character establishment.
Chapter 6)intro to creative writing class which i want/need in my life.more beatles. Woman on plane works at starbucks, will she make more appearances?
Chapter 7) the drama???or at least wht will be the drama. Pilot has a gf, called amy (wish it was me) (wait no, bc i know that plot doesnt actually like amy anymore bc he obviously likes shane. So i take it back. I want to be shane, i mean i basically am like her but oh well.)
Chapter 8) parents. Overprotective, think they know best. Urgh. guarantee one of shanes new friends fight back to her parents to support her life choices, that do not include doctor.
Chapter 9)gets an internship at travel mag company. Thats it…..
Chapter 10)rome. Looses purse. Pilot to the anxiety riddled rescue by telling his own life story about his wallet to help calm her nerves.distracts her. Basially he would do anything for shane already.re count of rome trip from her jornal again which is a good touch to further the plot. This is making me want to read dan brown (ish) all of two books i own of him
Chapter 11) the postcards are a nice touch that i hope someone reads???? Travel buddies..just saying.chad..hmmm,im like shane, well see if he is good enough for babe. Her GODDAM stupdi mean cousins being mean on her facebook, and babe seeing (best friend moment) about pilot and the whole teasing about having a boyfriend.
Chapter 12) he didnt see (but i think he did but istn sayin anything) paris i shappening. Babe is bff confirmed and i want her as my friend
Chapter 13)angry birds addiction starts. Level three, weak, shoulder touching it romance confirmed.awwww pilot 100% waited to sleep so he could see shane safe in bed
Chapter 14) pilot with a french accent, enough  said. The flirtinggggg.  The plane woman  is back??in paris with them????
Chapter 15)pilots choices of the back in time thing are both wit shane. Its so obvious and i love it. Pilot as a fake fangirl about the eiffel tower. More flirting, kind of. Oh god chad no.he did it. Goddammit.nooo he wull run babe and shanes friendship and maybe her and pilot. ‘Assbucket’ indeed. Her an pilot are fine and i really believe her and babe will be because when she nearly gets robbed babe giver her a sympathetic smile. Not much to go on but i have hope.
Chapter 16)okay so, fav chapter, she finally spills her guts that she has anxiety basically, that she is premed with strict parents and this is scary whilst pilots lies in bed with her to relax her bc he heard her crying. He only ecoureges her slightly before going back to his bed and sleeping. My heart, i swear, soon the roles reverse and pilot will say why he is in london and all that.
Chapter 17)babe and shane bffs confired. Chad is the worst confirmed. Of course it wasnt  break up call. Of course she wants to vist. Of course pilot is to cowardly to break up and just accepts them going to paris together. Of freaking course.
Chapter 18) do not get over pilot, it wont work. Rugby guy nooooo!im team pilot how dare you kiss shane! Wow, city of glass mention. I want to make a list of every bookmentioned.
Chapter 19) pilot is not himself (obviouls) shane is worried. She is still lying to her parents an feeling bad about. Rugby guy is thankfully a no go. Pilot finds out about the kiss and guy and is clearly silently jealous.
Chapter 20)aww shane! Im sorry pilot sucks currently. And a stupid guys trip with flat four. No. and devil chairs.
Chapter 21)1)love the book talk.  The loneliness is kicking in, pilot man up for gods sake
Chapter 22)this red-head plain weirdo is back and going through her list like some sort of mentore. Omg!!! No. amy is here, i dont hatte her but can she not. Also, her dad…. No! (this is the stand up moment i was on about, i hope)
Chapter 23) i do not like her dad. At all. Nooo shane...no. they found out. And acted like assholes.
Chapter 24) n1!ahhhh no! Amy has her notebook. The end is nigh.im going to cry i feel like shane.
Chapter 25) the family dinner-family outing. Niether of them manuped and shane is depressed
Chapter 26)back in america. Still hasn’t told pilot but you know it is a slow burn
Chapter 27) I, wait? Marry, some guy? Like no. I know it’s been what six years but no. I refuse.i don’t like this so called Melvin. It’s okay she doesn’t want to marry him. She goes to see pilot and finally mans up and tells him and asks if she made it and and pilot finally man’s up and tells her no she didn’t. They get stuck in an elevator
Chapter 28) the elevators doing something. Shane wants to re do London cuz she hates life
Chapter 1?) they are both back in London? Both having the same what ever is happening?
Chapter 2) omg. Plane lady took them back to staRt over and pilots mad about it (obv)
Chapter 3)so… they got mad but started over and I’m excited. 100%they won’t press the restart button. I’m calling it now. Cuz pilot knows he now has a chance to do the what if’s/
Chapter 4) they keep there distance but we all know it won’t last
Chapter 5) tipsy Shane? Shawarma
Chapter 6) babe thinksthere is something going on with them( again)
Chapter7)the story about fake pilot, and the kiss. Ahhhhhhg
Chapter 8)they found the button. Shane doesn’t want to go back. I do t want them to go back. They don’t go back thank god
Chapter 9) da Vinci code flirting somehow.. Shane tells him it won’t happen u less he breaks up with last Amy.
Chapter 10) he will break up with Amy and laris is gonna happen.
Chapter 11) so Shane is happy again, pilot broke up with amy. Shane tried to make peace with the devil chair.
Chapter 11) they are so adorable. Aswwwwewhwhehruysnwjw
Chapter 12) Uwuwnfhueia we get more Shane and pilot flirting,
Chapter 13) the opposite game is adorable. I like that they get to be themselves together without the awkwardness. The start of the move game. Thats my fav.
Chapter 14) they still have the angry birds obssesion but unlike me and supercard they know when to stop.the dance ‘move’ ahh i love. The line ‘but you do.’ just shows how much they know each other and how pilot would do anything to make her smile. And the lost move (not really a move but totally a move.) once again proves their love. Also we had that plot moment where he talks about why h chose to go to london. I adore shanes rant (?) about the things she loves. And then pilot doing the same thing. Shane vs chair is my life, like i battle chairs too.
Chapter 15) what is tfios? Ooohhh. Fault in our stars. (i googled it)i probably shouldve known by the whole always part. The dance move came back to bite pilot in the ass and now they are dancing together. Ew chad. Yes shane! That is what chad deserves.
Chapter 16) they get intimate and gigly and happy and aaaawwwhww
Chapter 17) im glad shane still rememebers to be friends with babe and not forget her in her lovestick state currently.
Chapter 18) her postcard….the questions that haunt her so much. Sort of accepting them herself too. She finally got to do wrecking ball, they miss internship , oh no…. Start if a downall??
Chapter 19) shane and pilot have fallen HARD
Chapter 20) the article is off the table. Amy is there. What the hell. No. omg pilot no, you moron. THEY BROKE UP!!! Which is fair, a break is needed. They both get back on track and then try and find a balance. Hopefully. Oh her laptop….shit...the feels when all your work is just gone. Tries to reset bc she is so depressed bc she thinks she failed again.
Chapter 21) she cant go back (thankfully) a bookstore is always a good haven to go to when your breaking down.
Chapter 22)the redemtion (?) time to try and fix everything and get back on track.the determination and the readiness to try and make everything better for herswelf, herself, and no one else is good. She makes friends with the people in her office and works harder than befire, try to get herself out of her comfort zone and experience things
Chapter 23) the confrontation with her parents. Oh god. I hope this goes well. Its going as well as it can go. Im happy shane is sticking up for her dream so she can be happy, uugh the whole dad speech of ‘i do everything for you, i know best because im older,’ i hate it. Ooohh she is making up with leo, talking ot him this time. Im happy. Leo is gay. Cool. i hate how he got broken up with becuase of his stupid family, it sucks. ‘There is no normal.’ perfect words.
Chapter 24) her thing is in the thing!!!( also good job me with words.) her article got published (there we go)this is where she learns she can be with pilot and be successful because tracy is with a famous author and they make it work with harder schedules. Trys to talk to her parents. This time she will make there relationship work.
Chapter 25)urgh ‘you live under my roof,on my dime…’ blah blah blah. We hate controlling parents that dont see that overprotecting and controlling their childs life does more damage than good. Babe suggest self discovery trip. Babe is a grat friends.
Chapter 26)the button thing will work…’im mad at pilot. Or am i mad at me.’ she cracked the code. She loathed herself because of her fear of failing, but because this time she worked on herself to make herself happy she no longer hates herself. Yet she still feels the same (ish) feeling that even though she worked harder and got further that she has no summer job when she gets back to the states, her parents still wont allow her choice of work.PILOTS BACK!!!!!!! She was about to press the button and he swooped in with his music.
Chapter 27) he still follows her blog and got help from babe. His speech, finished with lamppost. Where can i get a pilot?he uploaded their song. Working through the divorce thing again but it will be better because he has shane to talk to about it. Ahhh she got a job!!! Happy ending!!! My heart!!!eeeee…
epilogoue) she becomes a successful author. Her parents have accepted her and support her. Pilots a musician. He takes her to the weird plane lady and they gobe the locket back, then he makes the ultimate move. With pictures of where they fell in love he uses the beatles russain doll things to hide a ring and when she finds it she obviously says yes. And that its unfair cuz she cant top that move.

COMIC TEA PARTY- WEEK LONG BOOK CLUB START!
Hello and welcome everyone to Comic Tea Party’s Week Long Book Club~! This week we’ll be focusing on Stomp! by Brodnork~! (http://stompwebcomic.com/)
You are free to read and comment about the comic all week at your own pace, so stop on by whenever it suits your schedule! Remember, though, that while we allow constructive criticism, our focus is to have fun and appreciate the comic. Below you will find four questions to get you started on the discussion. However, a new question will be posted and pinned everyday (between 12:01AM and 6AM PDT), so keep checking back for more! You have until April 7th to tell us all your wonderful thoughts! With that established, let’s get going on the reading and the chatting!
QUESTION 1. What has been your favorite scene in the comic so far? What specifically did you like about it?
QUESTION 2. What do you believe is in the box Silvergammel gives Stomp at the beginning of the story? Do you believe the box will open soon, or will it still be a while? What do you think will happen when it does open?
Brodnork
Hi! I was just caught up in setting up my April Fools gag on twitter that I completely forgot this was happening today
RebelVampire
ironically yours is the gag that reminded me of the date cause i super had to double check i was tagging the right account on twitter cause i was so confused XD
Brodnork
Haha thats fair
It's actually a super convenient time for this sort of discussion, seeing as a chapter just ended and it's on a small hiatus for a bit.
RebelVampire
QUESTION 3. At the moment, who is your favorite character? What about that character earns them this favor?
QUESTION 4. How do you think Tandrad and Inkcrest are doing? What do you think happened in regards to the Hooligrin paying a visit to Tandrad ominously? What role might Tandrad have to play in the story?
RebelVampire
1) my favorite scene this time i think is when they go to the moon and defeat the queen. i enjoy the humor that shes just so flat out fed up with them no amount of revenge is worth it. i just also love the simple aesthetic changes as well cause despite being simple, they really convey that feeling of alienness. 2) i mean the devil's advocate is the obvious choice. maybe its not tho. maybe its the deus ex machina that will save the die. like baby pictures of the hooligrin that can be used as blackmail. i feel itll still be a while before it comes into play, and i feel too stomp himself probably forgot about it. as for what will happen when it opens, probably some sort of epic fight whether related to the box or not. i also feel like silvergammel might not even know for sure whats in the box despite thinking stomp would like it.
3) Still Clomp because he's the cool one who has a dorky hat and sunglasses and i just like his overall joking sort of laid back attitude about everything. but mostly, hes the cool one. 4) Tandrad and Inkcrest are probably fine, but the theme park owners? probably not so much. Mostly becuase the Hooligrin can only be a bad influence on tandrad and probably said, "im your friend and i say you should murder them." but i think tandrad is gonna appear as an antagonist again next alongside the hooligrin and stomp will have to convince tandrad theyre still friends. then tandrad will betray hooligrin and hooligrin will curse them all while going for plan c.
Brodnork
Ooh, i like those theories about the box
RebelVampire
QUESTION 5. What has been your favorite illustration in the comic so far? What specifically about it do you like?
QUESTION 6. What aspect of the world-building have you liked the most? What future role do you believe the aliens might have to play? Further, do you think Comp will learn to control his psychic powers?
RebelVampire
5) im a huge fan of this more recent page, especially the last panel http://stompwebcomic.com/comic/214. i just adore the lighting effects on this page between the red and the glow. and i love the details on how the sword emerges with all the kind of partical spray. it definitely feels like a magical sword and like something truly amazing is happening. 6) ive really enjoyed in general just the world history. like the pirates, the hiss clickers, the alien war. i really love how this stuff is informing present day events while not being completely about it either. it makes the world feel super fleshed out without overriding whats going on. as for the aliens, im not sure theyll be coming back unless hooligrin makes even more "friends." but i do think comp is gonna pick up those psychic powers. just in the greatest time of need. hell show everyone how he can bend a spoon just like in the matrix.
Brodnork
Thanks, Im actually pretty proud of that panel but I was worried it wouldn't have the impact I wanted
ShaRose49
This is really cute so far! It feels pretty slice-of-life-y
Brodnork
Thanks! I guess it sort of is slice of life, seeing as Stomp's life kinda involves going on adventures regularly
TypewriterMark
Rey first thought is this an enormous amount of work and that should always be celebrated
RebelVampire
QUESTION 7. Which characters do you enjoy seeing interact the most? What about their dynamic interests you?
QUESTION 8. What do you think the Devil’s Advocate is? Who is the Hooligrin’s boss and why do they want it? Do you think Hooligrin does know where it is? How will this storyline continue to affect Stomp and company?
ShaRose49
Stomp and the Uncle
Omgosh they are hilarious
My fav scene was the part with the rotten eggnog and he keeps saying random things like I do when I’m tired
ShaRose49
“You’ll never take me alive.”
RebelVampire
QUESTION 9. What sorts of art or story details have you noticed in the way the comic is crafted that you think deserves attention?
QUESTION 10. Of the adventures Stomp has been on so far, which one is your favorite? What did you like about it specifically? Also, which adventure played out in a way you didn’t expect?
RebelVampire
7) the characters i probably enjoy seeing interact most are stomp and chomp. they really have such opposite attitudes about adventure, life, and the amount of safety precautions each will take. and i enjoy seeing that contrast be played around with and how inevitably, stomp is usually dragging chomp on adventures to. 8) the devil's advocate is clearly a device that just points out all the flaws in your argument. hooligrin's boss wants to use it to become the best politician in the world by weeding out all their bad arguments and understanding their political opponents better. but more seriously, probably something to summon a demon. and ya know blah blah get all that demon power to rule the world. i think hooligrin thinks he knows where it is, but i def dont think what he thinks is the correct location. and inevitably hooligrin is gonna have to go back to plan a cause stomp is the only good lead
RebelVampireLast Friday at 8:19 AM
9) i love how consistently the world design generally is. like the tree designs consistently look the same, the hiss clickers, and just like the fuzzy quality to all the creatures makes them all feel like they belong in the world. it really helps make the world feel like a cohesive and unique place all its own where characters are actually living. 10) I liked the moon adventure the most i think. I like how the shopping cart was used, how one of the main characters was tied in, and i just generally liked how the queen was defeated. cause it was sad and hilarious. as for adventures that played out in a way i didnt expect, thatd definitely be the treasure hunt one. mostly cause i thought theyd at least find something worthwhile. instead it was just danger and more danger. and yet, they were still happy cause yaay exciting adventures. plus, ya know, a flying shopping cart.
RebelVampire
QUESTION 11. What do you think are this particular comic’s strengths? What do you think makes this comic unique? Please elaborate.
QUESTION 12. What do you think Cigast was up to in the mine in regards to collecting all the crystals? How do Cigast and Silvergammel supposedly know each other? What consequences will there be for Stomp failing to stop Cigast?
RebelVampire
11) i think the comic's strength is its world-building and how it ties the world into the story. as i mentioned in an earlier question, i just really enjoy how the story makes the world feel like an actual place where characters are living. i also feel theres really a good balance in how the world is presented, as there are tons of relateable things and parodies that help connect you to the world. but even so, they are able to remain unique. but generally, theres just a lot of character to the world that feels as much a part of how the story unfolds as the rest of the story elements. 12) honestly i kind of think cigast is working with hooligrin in some manner. like not directly persay, but maybe a coworker or hooligrin's black market magic dealer. so i think stomp's failure is gonna spell trouble for stomp later in the next confrontation with hooligrin. cause if i go with my theory on cigast, then cigast is probably giving stuff to hooligrin to use. as for how cigast and silvergammel know each other, maybe they were buddies in college but then cigast went down the dark path and silvergammel didnt want to be buddies anymore and it was very sad.
Brodnork
Thanks for your comments about the world!!
RebelVampire
QUESTION 13. What are you most looking forward to in the comic? Also, do you have any final thoughts to share overall?
QUESTION 14. Do you believe Silvergammel will actually tell Stomp his stories are fake? How might this affect Stomp? Do you believe Stomp should continue adventuring anyway despite the danger? Should everyone let him?
RebelVampire
13) im looking forward to just seeing their adventures in general. i really like learning about the world they live in. but im also looking forward to stomp overcoming people's beliefs he cant go on real adventures. 14) i feel like maybe hell go for an inbetween. like say "well some of the stories arent real." mostly cause silvergammel already putting it off, so i dont trust him to for real tell stomp. but i feel this could go one of two ways. stomp will go on a big huge adventure to prove everyone wrong, or stomp will get depressed and go on a reluctant adventure. but in the long run, yeah, i think stomp will continue adventuring. not that he shouldnt be dissuaded, but stubborn is as stubborn does

Bill and Gabe’s Excellent Adventure: A Gen Story
Some people say there was bound to be at least friendly competition. Two famous babies born so close together, it was going to happen. Look at Suri Cruise and Violet Affleck. By the time they were four, they were exchanging insults in the tabloids. The real surprise was that Pete and William were such close friends and it still turned out the way it did. When Ashlee finished peeing on the stick, the first person Pete called after Patrick was William. "So, how did you keep Gen a secret for so long?" People talked, especially in Chicago, but anything surrounding Gen had been mum until well after her birth. "Hello, Pete, it's nice to talk to you as well. Things are going fine here, thank you for asking." William always had to do the polite portion of the conversation. Pete was too busy being his own muse, biggest fan, and harshest critic. "Hey, Bill. Always good to talk to you. How's tricks? Now, how did you keep Gen a secret?" "Oh my God! You knocked her up!" William almost dropped the phone from between his ear and shoulder. "Dude, shut up! There are five people in South Africa who didn't hear you say that." The rest of the conversation was more of the same, William trying to keep from dropping either Gen or the phone while talking to Pete about making an honest woman out of Ashlee. It was a cute little convesation and Pete promised that as soon as little Wentzbryo was hatched, it could have a playdate with Gen. The screeching from Ashlee over the name of her unborn and unplanned miracle halted the conversation before it went any further. * The wedding came and went and so did spring. By mid-summer, Pete was back to making emo blog posts, often talking about how no man was an island but that he'd fight the tide to prove the poets wrong. When no one could figure out what the posts meant, they turned to the one person they knew would be able to help them. "What do you mean you don't understand the post? No man is an island. How were you in AP English, Bill?" Patrick balanced Gen on one hip and let her touch the soundboard in front of him. He looked almost as bad as Pete these days, dark bags under his eyes and hair falling lank beside his face. "All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language blah blah blah. I know all about the interconnectedness of mankind, Patrick, I just want to know what the H-E-double-hockey-sticks he's quoting John Donne for. Especially in relation to proving the tide wrong." Bill pursed his lips and reached for his daughter. He was fairly certain he'd just seen her pull off a knob and put it in her mouth. Patrick just held Gen closer and blew a raspberry on her stomach until she dropped the knob she had indeed taken off the soundboard. "Haven't you ever made a mistake, Bill?" "Well, of course." Bill just rolled his eyes and sat down on Patrick's seat. "Okay, but the difference is that you didn't marry yours." Patrick raised his eyebrows in a way Bill was sure was meant to be significant. "So. OH! You're saying he didn't want to. Whoa. You don't think he'd be with her if it wasn't for the baby?" Bill had not been prepared for that conversation when he went to see Patrick. All he'd wanted was reassurance that Pete wasn't going for another drive in the suburbs. "Come on, do you really think this is someone he really thought he'd spend the rest of his life with?" The look Patrick accompanied the question with was designed to make William feel about two inches tall. "Well. I mean. He talked about her the same way he talked about Jeanae." Bill shrugged off the look. He wasn't Pete's best friend in the entire world, it wasn't up to him to know the inner workings of his mind. "Jesus, Christine lets you out of the house alone with Gen?" Patrick sets the aforementioned baby in Bill's lap and shook his head at him. "Yes, exactly. He talks about her the same way he used to talk about Jeanae. And who did he end up not marrying?" He knelt down in front of Bill and tickled Gen's stomach as she sat on his knee. "Oh. Oh! I get it, all right. So. They're only together because of the baby. That's. Wow." Bill rubbed his hand up and down Gen's back when she started to fuss. "Very good, Bill." Patrick did the unthinkable and removed his hat to allow Gen to play with it. "Gen, when you get older, I want you to start telling your dad that it’s a good thing he’s pretty. Don’t worry, I’ll teach you how to say it." He kissed the top of her head before she burbled and tried to put the hat on her head. "Hey, don’t go corrupting my daughter. That’s not kosher." Bill stood and cradled Gen to his chest, trying to keep her from reaching out and grabbing at Patrick, or worse, the knobs. "Right, that’s Uncle Gabe’s job." Patrick rolled his eyes and turned his back to Bill. "You two are off to see him, right?" "No, we’re off to see Uncle Travis first. It’s almost naptime and she likes when he raps Public Enemy for her." Bill returned the roll of eyes for an entirely different reason. "And then we’ll go back home and see what Mommy did all day, right Gen?" Bill cooed at his daughter and couldn’t help but to smile when she smiled at him. "Never thought I’d see the day when you were whipped for a kid." Patrick just smiled fondly and ushered the two out of the studio, choosing to ignore the fact that a baby was walking out with his hat. * Nobody blamed Bill. That’s what everyone told him, "we don’t blame you." Christine had wanted to leave, had always wanted to. Even when she and Bill had started dating, she had always said she wanted to leave Illinois, leave the states. The only shock was that she’d done it so quietly and that she hadn’t taken Gen. For the first few weeks after, Bill’s mother had decided to stay with them. She had only wanted to help Bill get on his feet and learn how to properly take care of a baby without someone there to pick up the slack. When that seemed to be failing, she didn’t know who to call but Patrick. "Mrs. Beckett, with all due respect, I’m not sure that him having the baby is the best idea. I mean, he loves her but…" "I know, Patrick, I know. I just don’t know what else I can do. He misses Christine, it’s obvious, but he’s not pulling himself together for the baby." Berniece looked over at her son, sitting in front of the Game Show Network and watching a Bob Barker tell someone to come on down. There was a half-empty bottle of whiskey next to him. He hadn’t touched it in a few hours, but he was still only bordering sobriety. "What he needs is to sober up and realize there’s a kid who is depending on him. Gen shouldn’t be raised by her grandparents, no offense. She’s Bill’s responsibility now and he needs to own up to it." Patrick thought of the visit a few months earlier and shook his head. "You know, you’re right. And I think I know the right way to do that." Berniece nodded to herself and quickly said her goodbyes to Patrick. That night, while Bill slept the deep sleep of the drunk, Berniece went through the apartment and gathered up all the liquor bottles and any questionable baggies she could find. The morning found a sink that smelled like alcohol and thirty dollars of recycling money on the counter, along with a note that read: William, I’ve dumped your liquor out and gone home. It’s time for you to be responsible for this child. She loves you and you won’t even look at her. Christine will be back when she finds what she was looking for and until then, you need to be the strong one for Gen’s sake. I’ve left some formula in the fridge and there are instructions for food taped onto the door. I love you, but I can’t watch this and I won’t take a child away from both of her parents. Mom After a moment, Bill recognized the noise that was filtering through his ear as Gen crying in her crib. He walked into the nursery and looked down at Gen as she wailed up at him. The stench in the room made it clear what her problem was and Bill tried as hard as he could to remember where the new diapers were kept. It had been more than two weeks since he’d even been in the same room as Gen. She looked too much like Christine, all wide smiles and soft blonde hair. After feeding her some formula, Bill rooted under the couch for his cell phone; it was vibrating and Bill couldn't be sure it wasn't his mother calling. There were several messages from Gabe from the past week. bilbo, heard about christine, sorry man. if u need n e thing, txt me. hey, havent heard back, u doing ok? beckett answer ur msgs, jfc. if i dont hear from u 2morrow, im coming there. im @ the airport, b there in 20 mns. The last message had a time stamp of five minutes earlier and Bill nearly dropped Gen again. Gabe was going to be there in a matter of minutes. Thanks in large part to his mother, the apartment wasn't too much of a mess. In fact, the only mess was the nest of a couch Bill had spent the last few weeks on. "Gen, Uncle Gabe is coming. I'm going to put you back in your crib with a bottle and as soon as I figure out why he's here, I'll come get you." Bill wasn't entirely sure why he was instructing her like she could actually understand him but a memory hit him hard for a moment. Gen was in her crib and Bill was babbling at her when Christine had told him not to do that, it was damaging to a child's development. She needed to be spoken to like she was fully cognizant of what she was hearing. Gen just burbled back at him and tugged on his hair before he set her down in her crib. She made the universal sign for 'pick me up!' but Bill had too many other things to worry about. He couldn't understand why Gabe was going to show up. Had he really cut off that much contact with the outside world. He scrolled through the missed calls on his phone. Some time in the past two weeks, he'd found time to answer a call from his mother, a call from the Butcher, and a call from Spencer. He didn't even know how Spencer got the number. Eventually there was a knock on the door. Bill was still looking at his phone, looking at the texts he'd ignored, even one from Tom that said "mike says u wnt answr his msgs. dnt know y u wud answr mine. call him, hes worried." The knock startled him out of his reverie and he walked over to the door. A quick check of the peephole showed him Gabe on the other side practicing some dance moves. Bill had a few choices. He could open the door and allow Gabe in, resulting in some horrible nursing back to health. He could keep the door closed, resulting in Gabe calling his mother and yelling at Bill through the door that he knew he was in there and if he didn't answer, he was calling the cops! After a moment of debate, and Gabe saying 'I know you're in there, Bills, I can hear you moving around', Bill decided to open the door. The worst that could happen was Gabe deciding that he couldn't leave Bill alone for five minutes and then handcuffing him to the bed while he left for groceries. It used to frighten Bill how well he knew Gabe's thought processes. Eventualy, he just chalked it up to having spent too much time around him during a specific period of his life. "William Eugene Beckett, if you ever disappear like that again, I will cut your balls off and feed them to a snake at the zoo." Gabe threw down his bags and wrapped his arms tightly around Bill. Stumbling slightly, Bill took a step back and tried to worm out of Gabe's grip. The physical contact after so long without was almost too much and it made Bill's limbs feel atrophied. Gabe didn't let go and it was all Bill could do to not have a panic attack right there. "I'm sorry." He didn't offer any more of an explanation than that. Gabe could draw his own conclusions when he saw Christine's half of the closet, empty save for the bag containing her prom dress. Gabe just nodded and kept a hand on the small of Bill's back as they walked into the apartment. "And where is the littlest cobra right now?" Gabe looked around the living room, trying not to let himself be distressed when he saw the state of the house. It was like Bill didn't want to clean it up, like if it got messy enough, Christine would have to come back not because this was the apartment she'd left in Bill's charge but because this was the home she'd tried to build with him. "She's in her crib. I-I wanted to talk to you first, before she saw you. I wanted to find out why you were here." Bill didn't meet Gabe's eyes, looking down at the ground instead. There were baskets of clean laundry, something he was left to assume his mother did before she left. Even so, looking at it now with Gabe next to him, Bill realized how much he'd actually let the place go. DVDs were strewn around the TV, out of their cases and just waiting to be scratched. All in all, it looked like Christine had jumped ship and left Bill to fend for himself. "Bills, I'm here because you need me here. Like you invented me in your mind and here I am." Gabe was trying for levity, he was, but he couldn't quite lift the corners of Bill's mouth high enough. "I'm here because you didn't answer and I figured that maybe I could help out around here while you needed it." Gabe shrugged and let go of Bill as they approached Gen's room. Bill just nodded and opened the door, looking at Gen trying to hoist herself up and stand. She grinned at Gabe and looked between the two of them, falling back down and reaching her hands out to them. "She needs a bottle, I think." Bill disappeared into the kitchen as Gabe crossed the room and hoisted her up. Cradling the small child close to him, Gabe paced the room and let her press her ear to his heartbeat. "Don't worry, Gen, we're going to fix this." "Did you say something?" Bill reappeared with a bottle, handing it to Gabe, who recoiled back from it. "What's wrong?" "You have to test it on your wrist." Gabe used his free hand to turn Bill's arm over and tap some of the milk onto it. "Her mouth is sensitive." It was almost as though Bill had forgotten everything about how to take care of a child. He knew all of this, Gabe was aware of how Bill had attended parenting classes. Gabe let Gen curl up to him and rocked her slowly back and forth, allowing her to nod off. "Bill, you can't just let this swallow you up. You have a kid." "Everyone keeps saying that! Everyone keeps saying that but they don't understand what this feels like. Nobody understands what it's like to see a child and think the worst things imaginable. To wish that she wasn't here. That she hadn't been born." Even as Bill was talking, he was reaching out to stroke Gen's hair. "You don't think that. You can't think that." Gabe wrapped a protective arm around Gen. "Come on, you need to sleep or something. I'll clean up around here, just take a nap or something." Gabe continued to hold the sleeping baby as he led Bill to the bedroom. His place in New York is too minimalist to be messy, so he needs to organize the clutter of Bill's apartment. "Do you have a back or chest carrier for her?" Bill was already out like a light. "Okay, Gen. It's time you learn about how to keep an apartment clean." Gabe looked around the living room and settled on putting Gen in a baby romper while he tidied up. * If anyone could've predicted Bill's reaction to Gabe staying there, everyone else would've laughed in his or her face. With someone watching Gen again, Bill returned to his trusty bottle and steady diet of The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. Gabe did his best to keep Gen away from it. He had nothing scheduled coming up, so he didn't feel bad about staying there longer than he initially said he was going to stay. A few weeks turned into a few months and before long, he had set up a cot in the living room, and he'd taken the baby monitor with him. No one in Bill's band could say anything because they didn't know what to say. He'd been heartbroken before, but he'd bounced back stronger and better than ever. While Gabe was at home having tea parties with Gen and listening to her babble in a mixture of Baby and English, Mike and Johnny took turns picking Bill up from bars around the city. It wasn't long before everyone was called to a meeting at Bill's place. Even Pete was there, as distracted as he was by the messages constantly coming in on his Blackberry. They'd conferenced in Victoria, Alex, and Nate. Ryland was out buying groceries when the call actually came, but he said he'd be back in half an hour. "Look, guys, we're just going to have to put things on hold for a few months. I want to make sure he- Gen is okay. I mean, she already had Christine leave, I can't just go now. She's used to me." As he spoke into the speakerphone with Mike and Siska at his side, Pete still pacing the kitchen, Gabe clutched Gen protectively. "He'll snap out of it soon, he wasn't ready before and I don't think it's going to be a slap and then he's fine. He just needs a little more time." "Are you sure this isn't you just wanting to be the hero?" Alex's voice sounded very far away through the speakerphone. "No, it is. But. I can't just leave them, okay? I'm sorry and I'll explain it all. Or you guys can come out and visit, but I can't just leave Gen here until I know Bill is okay." Gen was starting to babble in more words now. Pete and Patrick were no longer interchangeable, she'd developed enough of a vocabulary to call Pete "Monkey" and Patrick "Lunch." Needless to say, Patrick still didn't find his nickname amusing. "I'll come out there and I'll check the situation out." Victoria hadn't had much to add to the conversation, but she felt that it was important that she add this. "It's really admirable what you're doing right now, Gabe. I'll back it as long as it doesn't put me out on the streets." "It won't." Gabe felt relief rush through them. As long as she knew what was going on, she'd understand enough to pass the message along to the rest of the band. When he'd hung up, Gabe turned to Mike and Siska. "I'm sorry, I'm doing the best I can with him." "We know, man. It'll take some time. Maybe you should go pick him up tonight and we'll watch Gen." Mike extended his arms to the sleepy baby and grinned when she reached for him in return. BLAHBLAHBLAH Gabe and Bill get together and raise an awesome daughter.
