Siddhanth Kapoor was detained by Bengaluru police earlier in the day for allegedly consuming drugs at a party in the city on Sunday night. Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhanth Kapoor has been released on bail on Monday late at night after he was arrested in the drug consumption case. Police said that the other four people along with the Siddhant have been released on bail.

Bheema Shankar Gulled, Deputy commissioner of police for east Bengaluru said that Siddhant Kapoor and the four others who were arrested will have to further appear before the police as and when.

Siddhant Kapoor was taken into custody earlier in the day for allegedly consuming drugs in a part of the city on a Sunday night. Mr. Guled said, “Siddhanth Kapoor’s medical shows he had consumed drugs. We have already arrested him and are following the procedure. We will be sending him to judicial custody.”

On a tip-off, police raided a hotel on MG Road in the city on this Sunday night where the party was hosted. “DCP Guled said that “Last night we got into that a party is going on and they have consumed drugs. We raided and detained 35 people. We did not find any drugs on their person but found MDMA and Ganja disposed of nearby. We will investigate CCTV to check who disposed of it”.

The ones who are suspected of having drugs get sampled and were sent for medical tests and the sample of Siddhant comes out as positive. Police said that it is not yet clear whether they had consumed drugs at the part in the hotel or had come to the party after taking drugs from outside.

The senior police said that “The hotel has been given notice, we have asked specific questions, they will have to answer. Bengaluru city police have declared war on drugs and were part of it. Earlier in the month, we had conducted a raid where 34 people tested positive for drugs”.

Snake Venom Addiction And The Case Against YouTuber Elvish Yadav

Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav was arrested in the snake venom-rave party case and remanded to 14-day judicial custody on Sunday. Mr Yadav faces a case under the Wildlife Act in Noida for arranging snake venom at rave parties. The 26-year-old YouTuber, who initially denied any involvement in the case, has now admitted that he arranged snake venom at rave parties, said police sources.

The case surrounds the alleged use of snake venom as a recreational drug at rave parties in Noida last year. Mr Yadav is accused of arranging the snake venom at his parties and using snakes in his video shoots.

The police busted a snake smuggling racket in November last year after it raided a banquet hall in Noida Sector 51. Five people, including four snake charmers, were arrested from the banquet hall for supplying snake venom. Nine snakes including cobras and poison were also recovered from them.

A forensic investigation later revealed the use of venom of cobra and krait species in samples seized from there.

The breakthrough came after a trap was laid by an NGO, People For Animals.

A rave party is a vibrant dance party focussed on the youth-oriented rave culture, which often gets into trouble with authorities over drug use and safety reasons.

Questioned about the snakes in his video shoots, Mr Yadav has told the police those were arranged by Bollywood singer Fazilpuria, sources said.

The five people arrested in the case have told the cops that they used to supply snake venom at rave parties allegedly organised by Elvish Yadav.

Their arrest came after PFA member Gaurav Gupta complained to the police that he had contacted Elvish Yadav for snake venom as part of a trap. During the call, Mr Gupta was given a phone number after which he contacted the five accused, the police said.

Former Union minister Maneka Gandhi too had accused Mr Yadav of involvement in illegally selling snake venom and sought his immediate arrest.

Snake venom addiction is an unusual form of substance abuse where individuals intentionally expose themselves to snake venom for intoxication effects. The venom can induce a range of symptoms like intoxication due to the neurotoxins present in it. This form of addiction, also known as ophidism, is extremely dangerous and life-threatening and is not a common practice in India.

The effects of snake venom can be unpredictable and potentially deadly and can last for days. In the long run, it may trigger physical and psychological dependence among users.

The use and possession of drugs, including substances derived from snake venom, are governed by the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985. But the cops have not invoked the NDPS Act against Mr Yadav as drugs were not found at the spot, according to an official.

Bollywood enthusiasts haven’t forgotten how Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment. The case was declared a suicide and fans were grieving the loss of their favorite actor. Recently, Sushant’s sister Meetu Singh remembered her brother. She wrote an Instagram post that read; “Sushant's Brahmastra is enough to destroy Bollywood.” 

“Sushant’s Brahmastra is enough to destroy this Bollywood. Bollywood has always wanted to dictate the public, never stopping to show mutual respect and humility. How can we let people like this be the face of our country, which is so rich in moral values? Their sorry attempt of winning the public’s love with pretentiousness has failed. Quality and moral values are the only things that’ll win admiration and respect,” the post further read which Meetu posted along with Sushant’s photograph.

Meetu also shared a video that showcases Sushant talking at IIT Bombay. The caption she added read,  “Everybody recognizes Sushant and his genius, but his own industry, Bollywood, failed to acknowledge his great understanding towards life and its a mechanism; truly a tragedy. I’m really grateful to this Swedish YouTuber pewdiepie (Felix) for this heart-warming tribute to my only prince (SSR). It is very rewarding to see my brother being appreciated and cherished. Bollywood killed Sushant out of jealousy and insecurity and now Sushant lives in every household. Each and every family fights for Sushant as their own son."

Sushant Singh’s case was investigated by CBI and a different drug angle appeared during the investigation. Sushant has known for portraying M.S. Dhoni in the titular role in the film as well as for his acting skills in Kedarnath. He made his debut in the industry in the film Kai Po Che and cultivated a great fan base in no time.

NCB seized drugs from Cruise and Aryan was among the 10 arrested. Bollywood trolls started on social media as soon as Aryan Khan's name came up in the drug case.
