Ça y est, Mister O. et moi avons fait tout ce qu’il fallait pour devenir donneurs de moelle osseuse ! Je ne vous en parle pas pour avoir les félicitations du jury, mais pour vous inviter à faire pareil 😉 Parce qu’en fait, vous pouvez sauver une vie très facilement, juste en étant vous. Vous vous inscrivez, vous recevez une enveloppe avec des cotons, vous renvoyez, et vous êtes enregistré dans une base de données. Et un jour peut-être, quelqu’un dans le monde aura besoin de vous, de vous et de personne d’autre, et alors on vous appellera pour le don en lui-même. J’ai appris plein de choses à ce sujet et ai eu envie de devenir donneuse en tombant par hasard sur le compte de @kassadybingham. Ça m’a vraiment profondément touchée. Le cancer, la leucémie, on sait que ça existe, mais quand on ne l’a pas vécu de près, on ne sait pas vraiment à quoi ça ressemble, ce que ça représente au quotidien. Ou alors on a pas très envie d’y penser, surtout quand c’est un pauvre petit bout qui est atteint... J’entends ceux qui disent qu’il y a un côté voyeur, mais d’un autre côté, si personne n’en parle, personne ne montre, alors plein de gens comme moi en gardent une image abstraite ou n’y pensent pas du tout. Pourtant ce serait bien d’y penser un tout petit peu des fois parce que 1) on se rendrait compte que notre plus gros problème, c’est que notre gosse nous a réveillé quatre fois cette nuit, donc franchement ça va, et 2) on ne saurait même pas, comme moi jusque-là, qu’on peut concrètement faire quelque chose pour quelqu’un. Si l’idée vous titille, n’hésitez pas à vous renseigner sur le site de la Croix-Rouge.
