just in time - ted logan - fluff. very short oneshot/blurb :3

for you, movie night with bill and ted happened every friday night.the genres they would pick out were usually comedy, horror or cliché romances for a good laugh. this time, it was horror.

you giggled looking at ted jump and spill popcorn from his lap each jump-scare, because when you watched horror, you’d sit still, almost like a rock. bill, on the other hand, would just fall asleep. otherwise, he’d be confused with the storyline.

you looked over your shoulder past ted on the L-shaped couch, and sure enough, bill was asleep. of course he had the longer side. but that meant you and ted would be pretty close together, sharing a blanket. just before you look back to the television, you catch ted staring at you. you pout your lips and furrow your brows in a cutely grumpy expression as you look back at him. you think he looks a bit like he’s blushing, but you blame it on the lights instead.

“why are you looking at me like that?” you whisper so that you don’t wake up bill, which usually doesn’t happen. ted just licks his lips with eyes widened.

“like what? i mean i - i’m…” he opens his mouth again, but doesn’t have anything to say, looking like a goldfish. you snicker slightly.

and for once, the room goes quiet in your view. you gulp and it feels like it’s just you and ted in a plain, small room. nothing happening around the both of you.

“are we about to kiss right now?” you joke, letting out a breathy laugh.

but to your surprise, he does. he shuts his eyes and quickly presses his lips against yours. his lips are soft but slightly wet, and you shut your eyes, pulling him in. but he pulls away instead.

“i - woah, i’m sorry, i don’t - i don’t know what i was…”

“ted.”

“i just did it and i - i’m sorry i didn’t ask, i -“

“ted…” you lingered on the vowel. he continued to ramble, coming up with excuses whilst stuttering heavily.

“ted!”

“i…what?” he finally stops. you grab his shirt, pulling him in for another kiss. he takes a bit of time to process what had happened.

“woah…woah!” we both burst out in laughter, bill wakes up.

“huh? what happened?” he looks confused at the screen, then at us again, who are still laughing, but it begins to die down.

“let’s just say you missed a lot, bill.”
