That seemed to anger the tiny creature. "I am NOT AN ANT!! I'M A PLATYPUS!! I HAPPEN TO BE ONE OF THE GREATEST MINDS ON THIS ISLAND!! AND IM EXHAUSTED, PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY, SO LET'S MAKE THIS QUICK. YOU...ARE MY NEW LACKEY."

The jackal only stared.

"Okay," they sighed. "Another bug to step on, what's new..."

"NO!! Dear GAIA you're just like Shadow..."

That seemed to catch their interest.

"You know Shadow?"

Short silence.

"I HATE SHADOW!!" Both exclaimed.

"And his brother?!" The jackal questioned.

"Can't STAND him either. What a waste of an experiment..."

"What."

"Not important. Listen, I could help you get revenge on those two, we'd both have it our way. All YOU have to do is help me get back to normal size, and in return, I help you. Seem fair?"

KYLE CROUSE: We got a question here to start us off again from Scurvypiratehog! "After the events of issue 50, what if instead of perishing, something else happened to Starline.... what if he got banished? Banished... to the Sonic Boom Universe, because now the only villains willing to work with him is the Lightning Bolt Society! How would Starline adjust to his new life in the Boom dimension? Would he even try to become buddies with Boom Eggman?"

IAN FLYNN: See, I think at that point he'd just want the sweet release of death, 'cause you've just prescribed him to Hell. KYLE: [laughs] I think we've kind of done this before, but yes, that is effectively... IAN: But we've touched upon Starline and Boom Eggman and how he just wouldn't tolerate the buffoonery and would try to take over... but the wrinkle here is the [laughing] Thunderbolt Society-- KYLE: That's true, yeah... he would be- that would be- there would be incompetence... IAN: --which are a step down. Yeah, I mean, they've got the drive, which might enamor them at first, but after that... it would just be worse, because... [Starline voice to the Chameleon/Tree Spy] "Why are you a tree? We can see your face, you don't even look like a tree. Get out of the tree!" So... KYLE: [chuckles] IAN: Nah, he'd- he'd go cuckoo-bananas. KYLE: Maybe he could make them competent... or maybe that's impossible, I don't know. IAN: I imagine he could get them to coordinate briefly, but [chuckling] you can only do so much with broken parts. KYLE: Eh, I guess it would be like herding cats. It's not easy. Not easy to do, not worth doing. IAN: So I imagine he would finally reach his breaking point, and because he has the initiative, and the wherewithal to act on it, he would take over. KYLE: Mhm. IAN: He would just do it again. Boot Eggman out of his base, he'd actually send the badniks in coordinated strikes, the heroes and villains would have to come together because, "Oh, wait, we actually have to do something to survive?" KYLE: [laughs] IAN: They would have to stage an actual siege of the Eggbase, Starline would get knocked out a window into that active volcano, and would wake up and, [Starline voice] "Where is he, now...?" [Eggman voice from AoSTH] "You there! You look like you want a promotion!" KYLE: [cackles] Yes! Oh no, things just went from bad to worse! IAN: We're slipping back into Doctor Starline's Internal Hell Isekai. KYLE: Yeah, I know. I know, it's just the thing... yeah. IAN: But it's such a good premise. KYLE: [laughing] It is! It well and truly is. It's unfortunate you'll never be able to do it in- officially, at least. IAN: Nah... KYLE: But, oh well. It's fun to think about.

Addressing those who are reading Sonic Cyber Revolution (Sonic the Hedgehog AU Story)

While the cast of characters for my Sonic Cyber Revolution is quite large, I've managed to introduce most of the important Sonic characters, with several more coming up in future chapters. This left me wondering whether those who read my story want to see any specific characters that I haven't introduced or even mentioned yet, but fit under the conditions that I have set.

As a reminder, the current cast of characters looks like this (not counting the OCs):

I know well that there are way more characters in the Sonic Universe and I'm sure that you guys have some of your favorites that you would want to be featured in some way.

My conditions for character suggestions consists of:

*The character must have been featured in the mainline Sonic media, such as the video games, comics or cartoons. NO OCs!!!

*The Sonic media in question consists of the canon Sonic video games (meaning Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood is out of the question as it is not canon), Sonic IDW comics, Sonic movies or the Sonic cartoons (specifically the Sonic OVA, Sonic X, Sonic Boom & Sonic Prime).

*The characters from the following Sonic media WON'T be accepted: Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic SatAM, Sonic Underground, Sonic the Comic, Sonic Archie comics.

*Yes, that means that the Freedom Fighters won't be featured in the story. No, I won't reconsider this decision. I'm sorry to those who got their hopes up.

*I do regret not adding Scourge the Hedgehog and Shard the Metal Sonic from the Sonic Archie comics, tho. As well as the evil Super Sonic from Sonic the Comic.

*But, isn't Eclipse the Darkling a Sonic Archie comics original character? Why is he going to appear and not the others?

*Eclipse the Darkling is the sole exception to this rule due to his nature as a member of the Black Arms, meaning that he will make his appearance when I adapt Shadow the Hedgehog (2005).

*Take note that this is a Sonic AU, meaning that the characters will have familiar, but very different backgrounds from their canon selves.

*Both Classic Era and Modern Era characters are free game, as noted by the appearance of Honey the Cat. The main cast, as listed above, appear as their Modern selves.

In my brain there's a Boom!Surge and Kit au where Starline is an aspiring villain from some other island who moved to Seaside Island basically in order to one-up Eggman and become a real villain and take over. As part of his plan he finds two orphaned kids (who are Surge and Kit) and trains them to be his accomplices in this scheme, giving them powers and forming a fake little team. Their whole role is to pose as new, better heroes to win over Hedgehog Village's trust while covertly helping Starline to set up for his big take over, but Surge and Kit mostly just jump in at the last second to end Eggman attacks and mess around with Team Sonic while Starline ends up acting like a dad trying to keep his rebellious kids in check. Eventually Starline lets his ego get the better of him when things kick into gear and he starts mistreating Surge and Kit, so they choose to reveal Starline's true intentions and help Team Sonic take him down. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to fit this into the tone of Sonic Boom and I feel like Surge, Kit, and Starline would be too ooc, so right now it just lives in my head.

"OHHHHHH NO, I'm not trusting any more of those things!" Eclipse attempted to hide behind the cave, a useless attempt. "I just know something's gonna go wrong again!"

Shadow thought in silence for a bit.

"EAT IT. I DARE YOU."

Eclipse gasped, turning back around to face his brother. "You wouldn't. That's too powerful!"

"ALREADY DID. THE DARE IS UNBREAKABLE. UNLESS, OF COURSE...YOU'RE A COWARD?"

"NUH-UH! HAND IT OVER!"

The response from Shadow was the tiny cake, thrown at Eclipse's face and landing on the palm of his hand. He grumbled.

"Weirdly accurate aim..." The darkling ate yet another one of these small cakes, waiting for some kind of result.

"So am I just...small forever?" The tiny platypus in a bug jar questioned.

"Depends. If I like you, maybe I'll help you." Shadow snarled.

"Forever it is then."

A Sonic Boom version of Starline would be the one character in the entire Boom universe with absolutely ZERO medium awareness. He has NO clue regarding the state of everyone else's life and is convinced that he can utterly break everything to rule the island because everyone is incompetent and actively preventing a future. 

He is literally the ONLY one who cannot process the idea that he is actually a character in an episodic, comedic Saturday morning cartoon. Even though Eggman, Sonic and Sticks have all already tried to explain it to him multiple times.

Even Boom! Surge and Kit are aware they’re in a show. They figured it out without the heroes’ “help.”

“Yeah, we know our actions don't affect anything in the end, but this is still our only coping mechanism.”

Starline is convinced the tone of the show dramatically shifts every time he shows up, but in reality it gets sillier if anything because Eggman now has a salty ex-husband with two whiny evil illegitimate kids who will backstab their dad at any given opportunity.
