worst way to start my new year, thanks. i have a lot of things to say about these companies but i'm tired and just keeping it focused to the pin side of things for this one. do not ever buy pins from these companies, literally ALL of them are stolen from small artists like me. if you want to buy enamel pins, check out etsy, and artist's personal websites and shops! (though even Etsy has some bootleg pins that ship straight from china, so tread carefully…)

Every pin I've designed is, thus far, EXCLUSIVE to my etsy. if you find it anywhere else, it's been ripped off! and once these stupid bootlegs pop up, it's basically a never ending game of whack-a-mole trying to get them all taken down...

Rose, the closest thing to a main protagonist that Bootleggers has. She’s a mandragora, or one of those plant babies that scream super loud when you pull them out. I thiiink they’re more commonly called mandrakes, but I don’t know, I’ve heard both used interchangeably, it’s a fictional creature anyway, and I just like the word mandragora better. Anyway, I thought it'd be ironic if you took one of those, grew it up, and gave it a job as a bar singer. She and Barkley are the owners of the Wine Down Speakeasy, a bar that the story of Bootleggers revolves around.

In terms of gameplay, Rose is a balanced fighter. She basically plays like a slightly more advanced Ryu from Street Fighter, or Ky Kiske from Guilty Gear. She’s a jack-of-all-trades who is good at everything but excels at nothing, relying mainly on her versatility to adapt her game plan against different match-ups.

Funny enough, she’s actually the third character I ever made for this project, right after Barkley & Vipra back in late 2015. But she’s been redrawn several times and only now has a full character sheet as the 12th character finished.
