Rowanberry:

"The apprentices, right. They're..."

The brown and cream molly pauses, then sighs. Her voice full of worry.

"They're so young. They should still be in the nursery, enjoying their kithood years without yet worrying about the difficult adult life. I've told Yewstar many times that this isn't right, but I don't think he's even listening to me!

"...But, yes, we currently have three apprentices. Brownpaw, Wetpaw, and Littlepaw. Newtspeck and Tangleburr's kits. They're great! So full of energy and excited to learn! I just can't stop worrying about them after what happened with Volepaw and Mosspaw...

"Brownpaw is the most exciteable, and the hardest to handle, at least from what Piney is telling me. Oh, right, I forgot to mention my son mentors that one. Brownpaw is very energetic and loves to run, which isn't the easiest in our territory. He seems to be doing well enough though, which I'm happy about.

"Wetpaw is a little bit more withdrawn, but very smart! He's the only one of his littermates to be training to become a Spy, and he's a natural at it. Littlepaw meanwhile is the blossom of the group. Kind and helpful, that one. We need more cats like him in our Clan."

Mudpad:

"Oh, of course! My grandkits! I've heard they've been doing great. They've been apprenticed quite quickly, but..."

His face becomes somber for just a brief moment before lightening up again.

"...But I trust my son. He knows what he's doing. If Yew believes this is the best course of action, I'll believe it as well.

"A-Anyway! Yes, they're all my precious little tadpoles. All very eager to grow up. I can't blame them, every kit gets excited for the day they leave the nursery and truly explore the whole wide world.

"Brown's always been a little troublemaker, and I hear he continues to be one to this day. Loves to get ahead of everyone else. He's a very silly tadpole, but I hope Pinetail is patient enough to handle him.

"Wet's a thinker. He always sat on the sidelines and watched the other two play instead of joining them. I used to worry about him because of that, but in reality he's just a bit different from them. I couldn't have thought of a better mentor than Boulderstep for him.

"Little's my tiny little blossom. He's so sensitive and polite it's a little hard to imagine him as a to-be-warrior! I mean, he cried over the fact prey had to be killed to be eaten several times as a kit. I do worry Ashheart might be a little too stern for Little, but I try to think positive."
