JJ in public is brash, loud and infuriating.

JJ in a private setting is still loud, but he’s also a huge blushing idiot who can’t sit still for more than thirty seconds and who stumbles over his words and chuckles nervously. His eyes are often lowered as if he doesn’t know where to look.

It would be annoying if it wasn’t so fucking cute.

Been holding out on posting this because i wanted to finish reading it myself first but, this is probably one of my favorite Kidge fics i’ve read (and i’ve read an embarrassing amount considering i’ve only been on this ship since late March but ANYWAYS) i wanted to share it with everyone! This is not my work but i haven’t seen it on tumblr to reblog it so i figured i’d post it, it’s a lot longer than most but it’s a really fun read and i really, REALLY enjoyed it!

How did you get started in fanfic? What age and what fandom? Were you an AIM person, an MSN messenger person, an ICQ person, or something else?

I probably started reading fanfic in maybe 1998, when I was 9-10, on random Sailor Moon fan sites. I probably started writing it in my head and on notebook paper a little after that. I remember writing write DBZ stuff and stuff for Final Fantasy IX. I first got really BIG into it all with Harry Potter (of course) when I was like 12-13. Fanfiction.net, then FictionAlley and Livejournal.  Harry Potter honestly is what made me into the ship anything and everything person I am today. Most of my HP fic from the early 2000s is still up on ff.net and a great example of how your writing can be TOTAL SHIT when you first get started, and you just need to keep writing because you will get better. My early fanfiction is HILARIOUS.

I was definitely an AIM person (why did it ever go out of style???), but I know for a fact at one point I had AIM, MSN and Yahoo Messenger. I don’t know why I needed all three, but I had all three. 

For a period of time in middle school, I also wrote Lizzie McGuire fanfiction. I feel like I need to come clean about that.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: I realize that’s kind of unromantic on the face, but I really don’t think there’s only one person out there for someone. I also think loving someone is in many ways a choice. You choose to care for them when things are tough, or to listen to them talk about their interests even if you find the topic generally boring. You choose to support them and to open yourself up to them. It’s a choice, and one that takes some level of courage, I think, to keep making every day. So yeah, while I absolutely enjoy reading SoulMate AUs, I don’t believe that soulmates really exist.
