been thinking about ur fav assisting you with the hand job you’re giving him. Either you’re not used to giving one or maybe their cock is big enough that your hand can’t wrap around fully, but regardless it has them putting their hand over yours and showing you how they like it. They’re dribbling over both your hands with pre and really all you have to do is watch while they use your hand to get themselves off atp
#mari says#mari your hand kink is showing again#i was thinking abt it with a bunch of boys#not a train. individually#this has been in my brain for too long now im going back to sleep probably mwah mwah ciao#little breathless words while some are telling you exactly what gets them as they get to watch both your hands curl around the tip#and they let you rub your thumb over it#ok yea i gotta leave im thinking tewwww much#im mean really you could just be reading and theyre laying next to you and ofc they dont wanna interrupt…but if you can spare youre hand fo#them so they can get off and theyre using your hand like a dog while you’re practically unaffected?#tho id look unaffected and be going insane incthe brain abt it#spicy mari#sorry mino

spend any amount of time in the comments on the dog side of instagram on a post of a perfectly reasonable (if not really nice!) day routine of an older puppy owned by a working person (multiple walks! training! home for lunch time potty and enrichment toys!) and not only will you will begin to immediately understand why some pet dogs you encounter are overstimulated, neurotic, reactive, separation anxiety riddled POS (babes they are TIRED let them rest), but you will also understand the effect dumbass shelter requirements (home all day? most people do not have that ability...) has had on dog culture as a whole.
like do these people genuinely think working line dogs of any breed do not rest? what do they do with their dogs when they have an injury or illness? old age? i guarantee they have never seen dogs in true WORK (vs sport) where there is often a lot of necessary downtime the dog must be capable of navigating.
#dogblr#dog culture#drives me INSANE#and yeah a lot of the behaviors i list can easily be genetic too#but i think a lot of folks that cannot leave their dogs be for ten seconds create a really overly stimulated overly hyped all the time dog#that cannot relax#and to me that is just as bad as an understimulated one#a dog needs time to rest not only physically but in their brain to process what has happened to them during the day#the same way people do. the same way high caliber athletes do#anyways leaving your older potty trained puppy alone in 4 hour increments with enrichment breaks is not abuse aslkdfjalskdjf#my dogs are not bored they are athletes that also want for nothing and sleep in my bed at night#but they rest a lot of the day#bc that energy is expended elsewhere

grim has been pestering me but we just came inside from walk, he just got dinner, he just got new water, and he didnt really want to play. so i said "what do you want?" and i listed all those things we did and he stood there and looked at me. and then i said, "are your ears bothering you?" and he dipped his head down on one side and sort of pulled one ear back, and it was the ear that i noticed was bugging him earlier, so i said "okay im going to get ear medicine" and he patiently lay down on the floor and let me put ear medicine in and massage but it must have really been sensitive because he got up a lot sooner than he usually does and had to shake it out. then he got a snack for being good
it's possible he may have learned what "ear" means through sheer repetition. i talk to him a lot using repetitive words and phrases while we are doing associated activities, so he tends to pick up associations quickly even if i'm not drilling him formally. he also understands that even though ear medicine is unpleasant, he gets snacks afterwards and also that if he lets me clean his ears for him i will scratch the itches at the same time and he will feel better afterwards. he learned all this through very patient cooperation = snacks and praise training.
i do really recommend everyone who has cats or dogs that get itchy or infected or just dirty ears buy a bottle of Epiotic to have at home and do an ear rinse every few weeks. if you put oil or hydrogen peroxide or water or any other "home recipe" in your dog's ears it will probably make things worse, please do not do it. vets get patients ALL THE TIME who have owners that tried to clean their ears with coconut oil or vinegar. please dont. just buy the veterinary ear cleaner. it's the same stuff the vets are going to use at the office, and it'll prevent a lot of early-warning "itching and head shaking" type irritations from progressing into actual infections. the wet cotton ball method is probably the easiest to do at home and least annoying to the pet and for gods sake start training them BEFORE they get an ear infection and dont scare or restrain them or it'll take forever to regain the lost ground. if you approach this correctly you will never need to fight your dog for an ear cleaning. there are probably lots of cooperative training instruction videos on this specific issue so go check those out if youre not sure what to do. "force-free training" is another good search term
#im not militant about force-free i think its good to do as much as possible but also recognize sometimes dogs need to be restrained#in emergencies#the goal with the early training is to try to avoid needing to restrain the dog when the emergency eventually occurs if possible#dogs#blog#churchgrim#it was really funny when i got to the word “ear” and he immediately responded#it's like living with Lassie sometimes#“what is it girl? is Timmy in the well?”#is he actually as smart as he appears? big maybe#anything could be going on in that plum-sized brain#or nothing at all :)

obsessing over a dust sans in the omega timeline GRRRR
just. hes chill. mostly. sorta elderly neighbour who hates the world vibes. very resigned, snappy, goes to pick up his newspaper from the front stoop in his slippers and boxers and a crusty shirt
he's mostly a hermit, no one knows much about him. he doesn't want to get too close to anyone. he doesn't like the other versions of him, his brother, his friends.
he's got hella survivors guilt, mostly because if his world wasn't destroyed, would they be alive? would there have been a reset, a time, eventually, where he didn't have to kill everyone in a screwed up show of justice? where they could live?
he'll never know, and it bothers him. but he tries to pretend it doesn't.
he's sorta half forced to do therapy because yeah he's actually clinically insane and bro needs to be medicated and it helps a bit ig.
he gets a little better. he Is Not Normal but hes better. somewhat.
i kinda like the idea that he adopts a dog, somewhat an emotional support animal??? or like a straight service dog that helps him with panic attacks GRAAHHH THATS SO CUTE GRRRR RHRGRG RRRGGGGRRR
ok normal again
unlike him LMAOO
anyway yeah he probably eventually comes around to hanging out with some others. he's very picky about who he hangs with but..
hear me out okay
cross and dust as besties ❤️❤️
he prob finds epic annoying tho so he doesnt really hang around him
sorry ik im talking abt cross and epic now but theyre my bfs i love them i cant not mention them 😭🙏 me and epic and cross and also dust ultimate power quadruple or wtv
he def wouldnt like CORE at first cuz like. thats frisk. Trauma. but he'll probably come around to them when he realizes they aren't, y'know, a fucking freak. they're probably the reason he got therapy in the first place 😭
whoever his poor therapist is... needs a raise fr 💔
i dont really think he and killer would be friends. maybe hesitant acquaintances..? idk i just dont think theyd vibe when theyre both reformed crazies (affectionate)
i could see him and dream going either way idk like they could be friends or dust couldn't give a gaf about him
he'd probably think dream is kind of annoying with all his hopefulness and joy and whimsey but he's also a certified hater so (so me coded)
"what's there to be happy about" my guy i PROMISE if you stop your edgelord shtick you can be happy too go frolic through a field
he's got hella one-sided beef with error ofc for destroying his world. he doesn't care if it was "falling apart" or if "his story was finished" maybe he could have found a way to bring everyone back
(no he couldnt but dont tell him that)
anyway yea he likes sitting on his porch with a cup of coffee in the morning and he likes yelling "GET OFF MY LAWN!!" at children and he probably plays poker at the bar like every thursday night and hes really fucking good at it.. suspiciously good
his crankiness captivates me...
walking thru the OT and you bump into this fuckass guy who's emotionally attached to wearing his hood up all the time and you always see him smoking whenever you catch a glimpse of him and sometimes you get to see his cute puppy
love at first sight... (you just wanted to pet his puppy)
guys with dogs get all the huzz trust (god why did i type that im cringing)
ok off topic. epic would def say huzz
"rizzing up the huzz 🤓👆" just take ur pants off bro.
OK SORRY i need to log off. (not going to) back to dust
HIS DOG IS SO CUTEEEEEE RHRGGGR sorry i cant stop thinking of him with a dog. it bowls him over when it senses an oncoming panic attack and just kinda lays on his chest and licks his face and digs in his pocket to pull put the tennis ball he keeps in there to distract him
its not actually like a fully trained service dog im ngl but its good at diverting his attention from the panic so. it works ig. man idk
uhm but yea good luck trying to romance him like i said he's hater and itll take a lot of effort
VERY slow burn
idk why im writing this as a little x reader
maybe because in my nonstop thoughts its all been self insert befriending/romancing this fucking loser
dude needs to work on himself before he can even think of romance. im so serious he'll have absolutely zero desire for a relationship until he's mentally stable enough.
he cant go getting attached to someone, especially a partner, if hes just going to go batshit again (his therapist is trying to convince him that wont happen. hes in a safe world. he isnt in danger. he can RELAX)
itll take YEARSSSSS before he's like actually feeling like a normal monster again. his sins weigh heavily on him, but he knows he cant change the past. he wouldn't be alive if he didsnt do what was necessary.
anyway hes real bad at romance when hes finally ready for that stage
like HORRIBLE
he has no fucking clue what the hell he should do. you'll have to hold his hand every damn step of the way.
hes probably freaky tho idk
he likes cuddling you tho. youre all warm and soft and when you lay on him its like a weighted blanket and very very soothing
his bones ache, a lot. so it feels nice.
run that man a nice warm bath with some nice smelling candles or smth and hell make out with you
man idk im literally jst yappin its 4:20 and jm fighting to keep my eyes open 😭😭 ill prob hate this jn the morning but idrc rn ok !!! desire toctalk about omega tlcdust is stranger thanxthe call of sleep
#undertale headcanons#dust#dust sans#dust sans headcanons#dust headcanons#dust sans x reader#jester writes#like im feral over a grandpa-coded reformed dust#i need him guys#😭🙏🙏 let me slobber on him or smth <- says the dogboy#im his service dog btw#woof :3#sorry thoughts are all over the place im scatter brained#im insane actually LMFAOO cant have coherent linear train of thoughts#writing these is all projections and personal fantasies and Hes Literally Me

Such a nice morning with the girls!
#such a good call booking it back#we are enjoying a nice sunday morning full of tasks and comforts#information withheld from the poll: It was raining and the campers across the way had a loose dog who kept wandering over#I was pretty set on heading home but felt a little dramatic#our rally runs didn't feel good#we still Q'd#but I had to ask for pig's attention way to much and it felt extra bad because people now know who we are#it absolutely should not matter#but it's a little worm in my brain now#and I really really don't want to be that person but I was not loving the venue#10/10 a training issue but I honestly don't want to work on that specific thing#I'm stressed navigating a show and trialing my own dog#having to physically navigate one 10ft wide lane that feeds into 6 active rings is a hassle just as a person#and it's an extra hassle with a dog#the waiting area for the rally ring was squished between the ring and benching#it was also the same waiting area for the obedience ring so 12/10 super crowded#pichael tried so much for me and I simply was not there to support her#turnpike#rory borealis

How did you go teach your dogs to settle and be okay with having some chill days where they don't do much?
I didn't have to do anything with tofu, he just came with the innate ability to sleep if nothing exciting was happening already built in, he's naturally a lot more easy going and he'd make the perfect pet for some old lady who just watches tv all day. finn took a lot more effort, though.
it's a lot of different things that will eventually shape your dog into how you want them to be. I needed him to be comfortable doing nothing, to have the ability to be contentedly bored, to essentially match my energy, because I didn't need a dog that is bouncing off the walls when I'm at work or sick. a lot of it was just not giving in to demand behaviours like barking, dropping toys in my lap, nudging and pawing at me, and rewarding relaxed behaviours such as lying in his bed, quietly sitting with me, etc. he had a lot of time outs in his crate and I gave him something constructive to do in confinement like a chew or a stuffed kong and he would eventually fall asleep after a while. he'd be rewarded any time he was quietly existing independently of me without causing a ruckus. if I knew he'd had his needs met, then any kind of inappropriate attention seeking would be ignored until he settled, which also helped him learn to play on his own (that's something that we're having to revisit now because my husband is not yet immune to finn's tactics of persuasion, I quote: "he looks at me all sad and I just feel bad."). I applied the same concept to new places, i.e. doing nothing and then rewarding the behaviours I wanted to see from him, and now I have a dog that knows what down time is and how to behave appropriately in any setting.
maybe not the most helpful answer but that's essentially how I did it, and what my expectations for them were. 🙌
#I'm really awful at explaining my training methods because a lot of it is based on what makes sense to me at the time#mostly something I've read online that clicked in my brain and then I applied it to my training#a part of me is also reluctant to touch the topic of dog training on here because I don't do anything cool with them#and I can't write long eloquent posts about the nuances of dog training (though I enjoy reading them)#so pls don't point and laugh 🫶#anon

My 8.5 hour drive turned into 10 and now I'm cranky and out of sorts. 8 is not bad with a break halfway. 9 makes me antsy but 10 as a solo driver is where I start to really hit my limit.
Going to relax with a good book and my faithful companion and hopefully have a good day tomorrow at the seminar.

#dogblr#belgian tervuren#forte#psychiatric service dog#service dog#dog training#training seminar#body's a bad monster#1.5 hour's difference shouldn't feel so big but it really wrecked my plans#originally I'd have arrived early enough to grab some groceries and drive over to the seminar location#but I'm too tired so i just grabbed convince food and didn't check out the facility the seminar is at#so even though I'm here a day early and planned and packed carefully#i feel like I'll be winging it tomorrow#ugh why is my brain like this?

A little bit about CKC pointing field trials (puppy stakes) in general for those who are interested in how they run.
CKC has its hunting dog events broken out pretty specifically. CKC is restrictive in which breeds can run which events (e.g., only CKC registered approved pointing breeds can run pointing tests, other breeds are excluded even if they technically could complete the exercises. Rory can only run pointing events, she couldn't do a retriever test or a spaniel test).
We also have a distinction in trials vs tests, as most other venues do.
Trials - you are competing against other people and being judged against a standard. You run in pairs. Top 4 dogs get placements, once you get enough points you get a field championship.
Tests - you are running alone and being judged against a standard for a qualifying/non-qualifying runs. 3 qualifying runs gets you a title.
We are currently running CKC pointing field trials.
CKC pointing trials have two main distinctions within them - puppy stakes and senior stakes. You can enter whichever stake you're ready for, with some exceptions (like age) - you don't have to run puppy stakes before running senior stakes.
Puppy stakes are a little lower pressure because they judge puppies' potential. Within puppy stakes, there are two main types of runs.
Open puppy stakes: any puppy *of eligible breed* between 6 and 18 months old. No birds hidden in the field, no gunshots on the course, 15-20 minutes running.
Derby stakes: any puppy of eligible breed between 6 and 27 months old. At least two birds hidden in the field, puppy needs to point birds if encountered, gunshots, 20-30 minutes.
We run open puppy for now. Here's how this goes:
We are randomly paired with another puppy and handler (this pairing is called a brace, the other handler and dog are our bracemates). We walk up to the start line together (usually the entrance to a big pasture) with our puppies on leash. Two judges (on ATV or horseback) give us a quick overview of the course we have to walk. The course is usually through a big open field with medium cover (think knee high grasses and shrubs, some wetlands, some hills but no forest) and typically avoids fencelines or roads. They tell us to release our dogs at the same time, so we let the dogs off leash and start walking (very fast, and I'm a fast walker to begin with). The course is usually huge, much bigger than we could possibly walk in 20 mins.
Usually the puppies play a little bit and then get to work. The judges are looking for puppies who can ignore the other dog and handler, judges, ATV, horses, and spectators, hunt independently, cover lots of ground (move fast and steady across the terrain while still sniffing), use the wind to follow scent, and respond to their handlers' directions. If the puppies want to play too much, the judges will ask the handlers to split up a little bit to encourage the puppies to work independently. Usually you stick within about 10m (25ft) of your bracemate. Puppies can range anywhere as long as they stay visible and ahead of their handlers. (Puppies are often about several hundred metres/yards away from their handlers depending on breed. Rory ranges about 50-100m in real life and about 75-300m in field trials. It is an exhilarating exercise in trust in my training.)
The judges follow behind us and then spectators can follow behind the judges, if they want. We have to keep up a very fast pace to encourage the puppies to cover as much ground as possible, not at a jog but pretty close.
In puppy stakes, you want to keep as quiet as you can. The judges are looking for instinct and basic potential, so you don't want to ruin that by giving your dog tons of directions. If your puppy follows directions, that suggests they need directions to function. If your dog ignores directions, that's unresponsive and also bad. Ideally you shouldn't say much during your run unless there's danger (if a deer runs out, you would recall your puppy) or evils (if your puppy is eating poop, you could recall or redirect). You are allowed to chat with your bracemate but you have to hustle fast so it's usually friendly but minimal.
One important piece of open puppy stakes is that there are no planted birds in the field! There may be wild birds, but it's unlikely. Many people "over train" their bird dog puppies on live birds, and then the puppies get really frustrated that there are no birds in the field after they search so hard. This causes puppies to slow down or give up entirely during their run, so this is something that judges look for. In real life hunting, there's no guarantee of birds so it's important that puppies can work through frustration without losing enthusiasm.
The judges kind of shout directions (go left, head for those trees) from behind to keep us on course. In the best courses, the judges make you walk a loop, but sometimes your time ends in the middle of a field. When your time is up, the judges will thank you and tell you to leash your dog. We recall our puppies and put them on leash and walk them back to our cars for water and snacks.
That's the whole run for open puppy! It's very low pressure. The puppies basically just follow their hearts and do what they were made to do.
Derby is extremely similar, except there are birds planted in the field. The puppies don't HAVE to find birds but obviously its preferable that they do. If they find birds, they must point (stop moving and stand still staring at the bird). They don't have to be steady to flush or shot (they can chase when the bird flies or when the gun goes off), and only blanks are shot in derby. The course is a little longer but everything else is the same.
In open puppy and derby stakes, the judges are just looking for potential. They want to know if your dog would be competitive in the senior stakes, so they're looking for lots of independence, lots of bird drive, lots of stamina, things like that. Because they're judging potential, younger puppies may be judged a little easier than older puppies.
I think that's the gist of puppy stakes in CKC pointing field trials! Send me a message if you have questions about our experience so far!
#dogblr#field dog chronicles#bird dog training#ckc pointing dog field trials#people get frustrated about a lot of things in puppy stakes but ultimately puppies can do no wrong#it is just to see how they do in the field#do they have an interest in the game? do they care about their handler? can they ignore another dog?#its soooo low pressure and so fun#i think rory got placements because she is extremely responsive to directions without me having to say anything#she has extremely good stamina and doesnt get frustrated or lose enthusiasm#and she ranges super appropriately (always within eyesight but far enough out to search)#also she did some extremely nice search patterns and checking the field#it is so cool to see and so fun to participate in#and truly a genuine trust exercise#to see my dog running full tilt several hundred metres away and trust her to use her brain#AND SHE DOES#she does SO WELL#when i give a short whistle and she spins around to look at me immediately?#its enough to bring real tears to my eyes#mav and i cooperated well but never to this extent#i see why people field trial their dogs#it is so rewarding to see her do what she was made for

okay to calm down and be more positive i am currently imagining phainon coming to visit me at work and seeing all of the puppies and his big dumb blue eyes lighting up and then he sits with them and plays with them out in the runs while i clean their rooms and the way he would laugh as they smother him in puppy kisses... 🥹 💕
#٠࣪⭑kayleigh’s yapping.#ofc that is not realistic because only i am allowed to touch the younger puppies#but he can play with the smaller training dogs! and the larger ones! i think he’d like that#idk just silly goofy thoughts because my brain is being a negative stressed anxious pos todayyy ✨

The mortifying ordeal of your training gaps no longer being manageable <3
#guests coming over was few and far between so it was easiest to just manage the situation#but now there are unexpected guests and I have no time to put her away so people are welcomed with very loud feelings#from a very small creature#and I have gotten so much better about not being embarrassed by my dog#but my friends#it is so so uncomfortable and my brain is fried as to a training plan#I need to figure out a safe place for easy to access treats (the cats do many crimes)#and a more digestible plan to bridge training > real life sudden unannounced people
