I know this is a really late post but I know I’m probably going to forget to post this tomorrow but even though Austin didn’t win the Oscar, I am still so proud of him because even just being nominated is such an honor and accomplishment and I know this isn’t going to be the only time he’s nominated for an Oscar because Austin has so much ahead of him! I do want to congratulate Brandon Fraser because, even though I haven’t seen The Whale yet, just seeing his transformation and just one emotional scene I’ve seen on TV or anywhere really, he put his heart into that role so please congratulate him! I think both Austin and Brandon put their hearts and souls into their movies and we should be congratulating both of them! We love you, Austin and you have made so many people proud! ❤️❤️

Just imagine if they ever made a cross over film of Billy Zane's The Phantom, Billy Campbell's Rocketeer, and Brandon Fraser's Rick O'Connell where they fight Nazis trying to resurrect an ancient pirate mummy.
I could definitely get behind that kind of film with classic 90's action
Btw I'm dead serious I would really like to see these actors /characters return in an action packed film

In the amazing book Moby Dick by the author Herman Melville, the author recounts his story of being at sea. In the first part of his book, the author, calling himself Ishmael, is in a small sea-side town and he is sharing a bed with a man named Queequeg. The author and Queequeg go to church and later set out on a ship captained by the pirate named Ahab, who is missing a leg, and very much wants to kill the whale which is named Moby Dick, and which is white. In the course of the book, the pirate Ahab encounters many hardships. His entire life is set around trying to kill a certain whale. I think this is sad because this whale doesn’t have any emotions, and doesn’t know how bad Ahab wants to kill him. He’s just a poor big animal. And I feel bad for Ahab as well, because he thinks that his life will be better if he can kill this whale, but in reality it won’t help him at all. I was very saddened by this book, and I felt many emotions for the characters. And I felt saddest of all when I read the boring chapters that were only descriptions of whales, because I knew that the author was just trying to save us from his own sad story, just for a little while. This book made me think about my own life, and then it made me feel glad for my--

I think that Brandon Fraser will become the new Betty White. Universally loved. Until he is 101.

Top Gun Maverick got itself an Oscar. Everything Everywhere All At Once won 7(!) including best film, actor (the cutest hollywood could offer) and actress (and supporting actress for scream queen Jamie Lee). Brandon Fraser got his Oscar. I also saw Pedro Pascal in the latest TLOU episode looking cute and happy.
This was a fucking great night.

The framing with the book essay. The payoff at the end. Wow. What a powerful story. MUST WATCH!
The Whale is a 2022 American psychological drama film directed by Darren Aronofsky and written by Samuel D. Hunter, based on his 2012 play of the same name. It stars Brendan Fraser, Sadie Sink, Hong Chau, Ty Simpkins, and Samantha Morton.
