Hey, besties. This is an impulse post for everyone's well-being. I know we all need a little something happy that can counter the recent chapters of HLG I have released! So without further intro... here is our Leia's first birthday! ❤️ (a birthday post for my birthday 🥹) I love you all so much! 🫶🏼 Happy reading and enjoy! 💕

A/n: It's Leia Rey's first birthday. She is going to be showered with gifts, but little do you and Bradley know... She has a gift for you all too 🥳

Leia’s first birthday was coming up. You and Bradley had been hard at work trying to get everything ready for it. It was going to be cowboy/cowgirl themed. You and Bradley decided it was going to be called, “Leia’s First Rodeo.” Nick, Carole, and Mav helped you and Bradley with the workload. Carole especially, she practically was at your’s and Bradley’s house every day helping you do party favors and whatnot.

“She’s gonna be one already, babe. Where has the time gone?” You and Bradley were laying in bed the night before Leia’s party. Bradley was gently rubbing Leia’s back as she slept on his chest. He looked over at the clock. “0000, sweetheart. It’s our baby girl’s birthday.” He kissed the top of Leia’s head and started to sing happy birthday to her in a whisper.

You rubbed Leia’s back and smiled at her and Bradley as he sang to her. She was facing you and it was as if she could hear her daddy. She started to smile in her sleep.

“Oh Brad, look!” You said in an excited whisper. “She’s smiling.” You rubbed your index finger against her cheek. “Our pretty girl.” You leaned into her and kissed her lips. “Happy birthday, Princess Leia.”

The next morning you woke up to giggling. You opened your eyes slowly and looked over your shoulder. You saw Leia sitting up on Bradley’s stomach. He was holding her hands and making faces at her. She was giggling and bouncing on his stomach. You watched as he picked her up and held her parallel above him. He brought her up and down, every down he placed kisses on her face making her squeal. When she squealed really loud Bradley gasped. “Oh, my little love. You have to be quiet Mommy’s asleep.”

You turned around all the way and smiled. Bradley and Leia both looked over at you and then back at each other. They had the same guilty facial expression. “Uh-oh, Leia. We’ve been caught.” Bradley blew a raspberry on her tummy and laid her down in between the both of you.

“Are you ready for this party babe?” Bradley smiled at you.

You nodded. “Let’s get this rodeo started.” You started to giggle.

Bradley had invited some of his close friends from work. Mav, Carole, and Nick invited some old friends. You invited your best friend Bri and her boyfriend.

Bradley came down the stairs with Leia on his hip. He had his whole outfit on and ready. He tipped his hat to you and winked. "How do we look, honey?"

You raised your brows and bit your lip. You made your way over and placed a kiss on Leia's cheek. You fixed Bradley's hat and winked at him. "You are sexier than socks on a Rooster." (hehehe 😈)

He hummed and got closer to you. "Huh, that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me, mama." You started to giggle. "Although, I think I look sexier with just socks on." He winked and you started to laugh harder. Then the doorbell rang. Bradley placed a kiss on your head and gave you Leia before he went to open the door.

Nick, Carole, and Mav were the first ones to show up. Nick was wearing a whole get-up with Mav. From the cowboy hat down to the boots. They came galloping into the house. Mav was holding up a gift bag as he came over to greet Leia.

He picked her up and kissed her cheek over and over again. “Happy Birthday, my little Leia!” He continued to attack her with kisses until Nick took her away from him.

“All right, Grampa Goose’s turn. Step aside, Mav.” He tossed Leia into the air and blew a raspberry into her cheek. “Happy birthday, my favorite girl!” He pointed at Bradley. “Not you this timed, squared. My other little girl.” He poked Leia’s belly causing her to giggle.

Bradley rolled his eyes and went to go help his mom carry in some gifts for Leia. Nick and Mav came up next to you with the biggest puppy dog eyes. You looked at them both confused.

“Can I help you, boys?” You started to laugh.

“Can Leia open our present now?” Mav gave you a pouty lip and held his hands to his chin.

Nick nodded. “Yea, y/n. Pretty please.” He put his cheek next to Leia’s and gave you the biggest pouty lip.

You started to laugh and Bradley came over. “What the hell are you two doing to my wife?” He started to laugh. Carole came over and slapped both guys on the back.

“Oh! Would you two stop!”

They both stood up and rubbed their backs. “Ow.” Mav furrowed his brows and looked at Carole.

“Ouch, honey. That wasn’t very nice. I’m holding Leia.” Nick pointed at Leia as she sat against his hip. Carole squinted his eyes at him and took Leia from his arms.

She punched him again and he flinched against it. “OUCH!” Leia started to giggle.

You looked at Mav and Nick as they winced at their pain. “She can open ONE.”

They high-fived. “YES!” They brought over the gift bag to Leia and cooed at her.

Carole held her in her arms and bounced her up and down as Mav and Nick covered her in kisses. “Happy birthday, Leia!” The three of them said at the same time.

“Open the present, baby!” Nick helped her pull the paper out of the bag.

Mav pulled out the little pink boots for Leia. “Oh my gosh! What’s this, sweetheart?” Mav gasped as he showed them to Leia. You and Bradley sat back against the counter and watched as the three of them showed Leia her first gift.

“How about we try them on, sweetheart?” Mav raised his brows at Leia. He slipped them onto her little feet. “Oh, they’re perfect!”

Nick and Carole clapped for Leia as she kicked her little feet. “Yay!”

Nick pulled out the next present, “There’s more, little Leia!” He poked her belly. He pulled out a matching pink cowgirl hat. “Ooooo! Your first hat, honey!” He placed it gently onto her head. Leia smiled big. “Oh, you are the most beautiful cowgirl I have ever seen!” Nick placed a kiss on her cheek. Mav grabbed Leia from Carole and held her up to show you and Bradley.

“She’s ready for this hoedown!” You and Bradley clapped and Bradley went over to grab his daughter. He kissed her over and over again as they all crumbled at Leia’s outfit.

Everyone had finally arrived at the party. Everyone was dressed accordingly. It was finally time for Leia’s cake. She was sitting on the floor with Bradley’s friends playing with toys. She kept handing her toys to Bob and Fanboy. She loved when they made noises with her planes and flew them around. Phoenix and Payback were making radio calls acting like they were the pilots in the planes. Hangman held onto Leia as she was standing trying to grab the planes from Bob and Fanboy. Coyote laid back against the couch and watched as they all were entertaining the birthday girl.

You and Bradley came over and were ready to steal your girl for her cake. Bradley squatted down and held his hands out for Leia. You, Nick, and Carole stood behind him. “Come to Daddy, sweetheart!” Bradley gave his daughter a big smile.

She had yet to take her first steps. Bradley was always practicing with her but she would always fall before she took her first step. Hangman held Leia as she took steps to Bradley. He eventually let her go and she was standing on her own.

“Holy shit.” Bradley watched as Leia gained her balance. Every guest in the house watched on.

Mav watched closely with wide eyes. “She’s gonna do it. Holy shit.”

Leia wobbled slightly and took a little step. Bradley opened his mouth wide. Everyone stayed quiet as they watched Leia take another step and then one more before falling to her butt. Everyone erupted and Bradley swooped Leia into his arms and covered her in kisses. “You did it, babe! You took your first steps, sweetheart!” You and Bradley cried and gave Leia kisses. Nick came over and attacked Leia with kisses.

“You did it, Jedi! You walked!” He grabbed Leia from Bradley and he and Carole covered her in kisses. He held her up to everyone. “WATCH OUT EVERYONE, WE HAVE A WALKER ON OUR HANDS!”

Bradley finally made his way to Leia’s high chair and placed her in it for her cake. You placed her smash cake in front of her and lit the candle. You and Bradley stood behind her high chair as everyone began to sing happy birthday to Leia. You and Bradley blew out her candle and gave her a kiss on her cheeks. You both kissed her so hard to squish her cheeks and gave her a little fish face.

Everyone clapped and cheered for Leia as she dug into her cake. You and Bradley knelt down next to her and she each fed you both some cake. Bradley kissed Leia’s messy face and smiled.

“Happy birthday, princess. Daddy loves you so much.”

Hey babes, I'm sorry if my last part and this part are a little boring. I promise they'll start to get juicy. It's just the beginning! But again, I always love to thank you all for reading my story! I love you all 💕 Happy reading!

ps I may or may not be doing a double post day, keep your eyes peeled 😉

A/n: This is an introduction to Austin. I may or may not have been heavily influenced to base him off of Austin Butler... so have fun with that 😭.

Mav pulled back from the hug and rubbed your cheek, “Y/n/n. I haven't talked to Bradley for about the same amount of time as you.” He grabbed your hand. “Im not asking you to fix anything for me. I have to do that on my own, but for you. I think you should go see him and patch you guys.” He rubbed his thumb over your hand. “You two were inseparable for so long and I know how much you both meant to one another.” He pressed his lips together and smiled.

You looked at Penny and she also put her hand on your hand along with Mav’s. She smiled at you and nodded agreeing with Mav.

Y/n: “what if he doesn’t even remember who I am? Or just ignores me?” You were sad. “I mean he’s already done it for 7 years.” You looked down at all your hands together.

Penny: “I think you should give him the chance to at least explain that.” She rubbed your arm.

You looked at the both of them and stood up. “I can’t do this right now, not during my daughter's birthday.” Then you walked away.

As you walked away, they looked at you with defeat. Mav was scared you wouldn’t talk to him in the little time he possibly had.

Penny: “Do you think she will talk to him?”

Mav: “I really hope she will, this could be it for y/n.”

It was now 11 PM and everyone started to leave. You all start to clean up the deck so you could bring your little princess home. Mav was holding her while she was starting to fall asleep. He was rubbing her back and rocking her while he sat on a chair in the sand. You all finished cleaning up the deck so Penny wouldn’t have to worry about it during closing.

You went over to Mav and brushed your daughters very messy curly hair out of her face. You brought your car around the side so you could load all the presents and extra decorations into the back of your jeep. You didn’t want to have to keep walking into the bar because 1. It was super busy. 2. You were wearing a costume. And the BIG number 3: Bradley. Once you finished loading your car, Mav placed Leia in her booster seat in the back of your car and gave her a kiss on her head. He then came over to you and gave you a hug and thanked you for letting him meet Leia.

Y/n: “You can come and see her anytime Mav.” Mav was like a dad to you. He always took care of you and Bradley when you were in college. He always made you feel at home and never alone.

You hugged Penny and thanked her for letting you used the back deck. She let you know she was going to come over in the afternoon to bring Leia her gifts.

Billy and Bri rode to the house together, so Austin offered to stay back with you so you weren’t alone. Austin offered to drive knowing you were probably super tired. You accepted the offer you guys drove off. On your way out of the parking lot you saw a familiar figure out by his blue bronco with some of the other naval aviators in uniform. Your heart dropped. You looked down at your feet hoping he wouldn’t see you. As you guys drove by, you looked through the window slightly. You saw Bradley turn his head in your direction and you leaned back in your chair. You looked at him again as you went right next to him. He was staring at your car the whole way out. Right before your car left the parking lot he finally returned to conversation with the group he was with.

“Shit.” You whispered under your breath. Surely he couldn’t have known it was you. You had got another car since the last time he saw you. Your own head was just playing tricks on you.

You and Austin finally arrived at yours and Bri’s house. Billy’s car wasn’t anywhere to be found. So it made you nervous. You didn’t know how to be with Austin alone. You barely even knew the dude. You were so awkward, you wanted to sit in the car until Bri and Billy got there. But then he reached over and placed his hand on your arm and rubbed it. He turned off your car and you were surrounded in pure darkness. You looked over to him, but it was far too dark to see him.

Austin: “I can grab Leia and bring her in if you’d like?” It was dark, but you could feel him looking at you.

Y/n: “That would be nice, so I can start unloading the car. Thank you, Austin.” You patted his hand on your arm.

You heard shifting and then the car door opened. Austin got out of the car and opened the back passenger door to get Leia out of the car. You got out of the car and waited for them. He was carrying her like a baby. Her head rested on his chest. Your daughter was kind of tall for her age, she has her dad’s height, but she looked small when Austin was holding her. You wondered if she would look like that in Bradley’s arms. You started to smile, that would be really cute. You snapped out of it when you heard the car door slam and he started to walk up the drive way to the front door.

You ran passed them and opened the door for him. He walked into the house and you turned on the light.

Y/n: “Can you bring her into the first room on the right please.” You gave him a light playful push towards Leia’s bedroom door.

He nodded at you, “Gotcha, first room on the right.” He brought your daughter into her room.

You started to bring in her toys and put them in her room. Austin came out and started to help you put the extra decorations into the garage. After you finished you invited him in. You offered him to go into the refrigerator or pantry and help himself. You brought yourself into your room and cleaned up. You changed to some comfortable clothes and brought out some of your oversized clothes for Austin. You walked out and Austin was looking in the refrigerator with his hand up to his chin looking like he was making a very important decision. You laughed and he looked over. His eyes were wide as he looked you up and down. His eyes met yours and he smiled.

Austin: “Hey.” He closed the refrigerator.

Y/n: “I brought you some of my biggest over sized clothes if you’d like to change out of your very realistic Darth Vader costume.” You put your hand out holding the clothes and smiling.

He laughed, “Thank you, y/n. But did you think I was naked under here?” He raised his eyebrows. He took the pair of sweat pants only. “Thanks.” He winked at you.

Y/n: “Well… no. I know you’re not! I’m just offering some clothes…” You started to trail off.

He laughed and walked to the couch.

You blushed you could feel the heat coming off of your cheeks. Jesus, of course he wasn’t naked under there. He started to take off his suit in front of you and he looked at you and chuckled. You stood there awkwardly and then went to the pantry. Trying to give him his privacy. You looked out the corner of your eye and you could see his tight white shirt that exposed his pecs, abs, muscular back and arms. You bit your bottom lip and looked back into the pantry trying to distract yourself, but you were already imagining him naked under the costume… or at least now you were wishing he was.

He walked over to you. “Well the sweats are a little high but they’ll do.” He said while looking down at them.

God he looked hot. Some strands of his what was nicely fixed hair now falling loosely over his forehead and face. He looked up to you and chuckled. You looked at his ankles and they were exposed. You laughed but covered your mouth remembering your daughter was asleep. He put a finger over his lips and gestured the “shhhhh” sign while smiling. The two of you looked through the pantry and refrigerator to find something to snack on. Luckily, after no luck Bri and Billy arrived with some tacos. They went to go change out of their costumes.

You and Austin ate a couple of tacos. The two of you sat on the couch and you turned on The Mandalorian while you waited for Billy and Bri to come out. Austin pulled you close into him so now he had one arm around you and you had your back against his side.

Austin: “Is this alright, y/n?” He looked down at you and was smiling.

You looked up at him and nodded, “Fine with me.” You felt good to be in someone’s embrace. His smell was intoxicating as it filled your nose. You closed your eyes taking it in.

Billy: “Are you two decent? I don’t want to see someone eating tacos off the other or something.” He’s a very blunt guy. No shame in anything he says.

Austin called over to Billy, “You missed us eating tacos off of each others abs 20 minutes ago. You’re good, man.” He chuckled into your hair. “I’m really sorry about him, darlin. He can be a bit much.” He whispered into your ear.

You turned your head slightly so you could see him from the corner of your eye, “Don’t worry about it. I’ve known Billy for the last 6 years. I’ve learned he is no man to be ashamed of anything he says.” You felt Austin sigh into your hair. He wrapped his arm tighter around you.

Bri and Billy finally came out and you threw a pillow at Billy. He looked at you with a pissy face. You put your finger to your lips signaling him to shut the hell up. He put up his hands in confusion.

Y/n: “My daughter is sleeping in that room. Don’t be loud about us eating tacos off of each other.” You felt the vibration coming from Austin as he laughed against your back.

Billy shook you off and made his way to the Tacos. He brought them to the couch for him and Bri to eat. They joined you and Austin to watch the show.

You started to doze off and you felt Austin shifting around. He was now laying down. He put his arms out for you to lay with him. You laid next to him, But propped your head up on your hand so you could watch the show.

Austin: “Are you tired?” He whispered into your ear.

You nodded your head. He moved your hand from under your head and patted his chest for you to lay. You laid on his chest gently. You could hear his heart rate speed up. “Then go to sleep. I’ll be here.” He kissed your head lightly.

His heart rate started to slow down. It was so therapeutic to listen to, so comforting, he was so warm, soft, your body fit perfectly next to his. You felt so at home and safe. Then, after 10 minutes you finally fell asleep.

Austin moved around so you could lay comfortably. He looked at your sleeping face and smiled. He brushed some hairs out of your face. He tilted your head up so your face could face his. You were such a site to look at. He could look at you all day and all night. He felt so comfortable with you and he hasn’t even known you for a full day. He watched as your shoulders would rise and fall with every breath you took. He watched as your eyes twitched, felt how your body was so relaxed and how your heart was beating against his side. He was in awe with you. He put his hand up to catch Bri’s attention. She looked over at him.

Austin: “Can you bring us a blanket? I don’t want her to be cold.” He asked in barely a whisper.

Bri nodded and went to go get a blanket from your room. She laid it over the two of you and returned to lay with Billy. Austin pulled the blanket over your shoulder and he wrapped his arms around you. You slightly stirred and moved up his chest more but were still asleep. Your face slightly in his neck. He could feel your breath against him. It sent goosebumps all over his body. He kiss and whispered onto the top of your head, “Good night, Darlin.”

You woke up at 3 AM. You were confused as to where you were. It was dark, but as your eyes adjusted you could see that you were still cuddled up with a now sleeping Austin. There was a blanket from your room on the two of you. You looked over and could slightly see that Bri and Billy were asleep too. Well you knew they were because Billy had a slight snore. You looked at Austin and as much as you wanted to stay this way, you didn’t want your daughter to wake up and see her mom cuddled up with some stranger on the couch. You had an example to set for her. So you set an alarm for 7 AM to wake you all up so Billy and Austin could leave before Leia could get out of bed. After setting the alarm, you cuddled back up to Austin. Listening to him breathe, feeling his chest raise and fall underneath your face and feeling the warmth radiating off of him. You were listening to his slow heartbeat once again. He readjusted so he could be even closer to you. He wrapped his arm back around you and his hand rested on your waist. You put your hand on his chest and his free hand followed yours. You closed your eyes.

Austin gave your hand a slight squeeze, “Good night, y/n.”

Hi bri!!🥺😭🫶🏻💛 my sunshine!! I was gone for so long and didn’t fully come back on here yet but gosh I missed you so much and couldn’t stop thinking about all my friends here esp you!

tmi- I mean.. you knew I’ve been talking to you since last year so excitedly how I wanted to move countries for my studies!!🥹 and I worked so hard for it and finally did it but like…yk a lot of bad things happened and my education agency actually scammed around $ 15000 and also messed up all my application documents.. and I found out about it after I came here? It was so stressful, everyday was filled with panic attacks and constant prayers to fix everything..and it was admist ramadan too so I was fasting on top of all this stress. It kinda affected my mental and physical health a lot💔

And then all of a sudden life got so hectic, that issue kinda got resolved and living alone all by myself while studying medicine and surgery in uni with shit ton of assignments, exams, lab practicals and lectures to study actually consumes all of my time and I can barely find time to sleep! >:( communication is hard for me atm bc I can’t find the time (to even call my parents sometimes😭) so I’ve been away from tumblr for so long! And I’m waiting for my break to come so I can come back here and post and answer asks and everything but my break is a long wayy and before that I have to go through so much more as my exams are also coming up.

don’t worry, my kindest sunshine, I’m happy nonetheless. This is all I wanted and I’m working hard everyday for a dream I had in my heart since the day I learned to dream. :’)💕 to be independent, admirable, kind and someone worthy who can make herself proud!! 11. Do either try to hide their emotions if upset? Can the other still tell?

Lol yes and Aeran is absolutely terrible at hiding his, as we all know. I think Bri is better at hiding hers. Aeran will still pick up on the fact that she's not happy but he won't know the full extent unless she tells him.

14. How do their personalities compliment each other? How do they clash?

Their overall differences (direct approach vs diplomatic, ranged vs melee, dark vision and super hearing, etc) help them work better together. They're both fairly low maintenance when it comes to casual, everyday interactions, so they don't usually argue or fight unless something major comes up (everything is definitely fine after episode 2 😭)

They will clash over plans sometimes, Bri definitely thinks Aeran is too direct and stubborn, and he thinks she's too...nice. And then there's the whole Aeran keeping secrets thing, but I don't need to elaborate on that 😂

22. What reminds each of their partner?

for Bri: blue sky (like his eyes), taraniel flowers (bc of his bow name)

for Aeran: certain shimmery things, like light on water, might remind him of her crest. also she used to have this shampoo (she's long since run out) but it smelled like a very specific combination of herbs and sometimes, depending on the apothecary, their shop will smell like it.

He did come across very condescending, you’re right! Everything he said just came out so wrong 🥴 I think he just rolled with it, making all these assumptions because he was blindsided by the news, and it didn’t add up with what he knew about his daughter. In turn, it made it seem to Oc that he didn’t know or understand her at all. Oc and Seokjin’s happy bubble definitely got popped 😭

Ah, no! He’s perfectly healthily! Seokjin just meant that Oc should ask her dad what they spoke about because her and him need a heart to heart.

Taehyung will appear in season 3 briefly! He was supposed to in season 2 but I changed things up a bit. It won’t be very important to the story, I just wanted to write him into it. He has played an important role in her life, despite not being in it for nearly 6/7 years, so I want to bring her some final closure!

I think because of her father’s reaction, it would be very easy for Oc and Jin’s relationship to take two steps back (possibly more lol) BUT they have come a long way from season 1. For your trademark art!! To me I feel like you draw very strong features, not in a bad way just in a way that you can tell that they can hold their own I guess?? Like I look at your Bri or Aeran art and I'm like YUP that's a wayfarer lolol but seriously your shadows and light and perspective, the amount of DETAIL you put into each piece is amazing. Also the way your noses are drawn too like I had to do a double take one time going through the nameless tag and saw your healer art cause I knew it was a familiar style just because of the nose. I'm always taken aback by how beautifully strong your art seems ❤️

After the banquet, Bradley drove the two of you back to your house. It was a little past midnight so you entered the house quietly. Billy and Bri were asleep on the couch with Leia. You went up to them and tapped Bri lightly. She opened her eyes and smiled at you. She sat up.

“Oh my god, y/n. You’re hot! What the fuck?”

Billy propped up and looked over at Bri, “What?” Then he looked at you, “Wow! You look nice, y/n.”

You smiled, “Thank you.” You said in a whisper.

You brushed Leia’s hair from her face. She was sound asleep. Bradley came around the couch. He smiled and waved to Bri and Billy. Billy fist-bumped with Bradley.

“You clean up well, Turkey.” He nodded at Bradley.

“Thank you, Billy.” Bradley smiled slightly and awkwardly.

Bri handed Leia to Bradley. Bradley held her against him. Her head rested on his shoulder and her arms dangling by her sides. Leia nuzzled her face into Bradley’s neck. Bradley kissed her forehead and rocked her as she stirred around slightly.

You let Billy and Bri know that you were going to go and stay with Bradley for the night and that Leia would be coming as well. Billy walked out of the house with the three of you. He went into his car and grabbed Leia’s extra car seat. He showed it to Bradley.

“You know how to put one in your car?” Billy raised his brows.

“Uhh.” Bradley looked over to you and back to Billy.

“Of course, you don’t Duck.” He walked over with Bradley to the Bronco.

Billy opened the door to Bradley’s bronco. He looked at Bradley, “Damn, good luck getting her into the car.” He pushed forward the passenger seat and went into the back seat. “It’s hella cramped back here, Bradshaw. Holy fuck.”

Bradley chuckled and handed Leia to you.

Bradley leaned into the car. Billy was sitting in the back seat and handed Bradley the car seat. “All right, Peacock. This is what you do. Put the car seat on the chair, anchor it down with the hooks here, and then string the buckle through the belt loops. After that click the buckle into the thing and play with the belt until it locks and is tight.”

Bradley followed the instructions Billy gave him and he successfully put the car seat in. Billy gave Bradley a high-five. “Congrats, dad. You successfully put a car seat in your car.” He patted him on the back. “Now when you put her in, clip the chest buckle first. Position it right with her chest. Nothing lower nor higher. Because if you stop abruptly you don't want to break her collarbone. The chest dissipates the impact since its a larger surface area. Then you have to buckle the two thigh straps into the main buckle between her legs. Then that's it. A little different from a booster seat but it’ll keep her safe in your piece of shit car.” He chuckled.

Bradley got out of the car and Billy climbed out.

Bradley laughed back and shook hands with Billy, “Thank you, man.”

Billy shook his head and pulled Bradley in for a hug, “We are family now, birdbrain. Anything you need help with don’t hesitate. I had to learn when I helped y/n.”

Bradley pulled back and nodded, “Thank you so much.”

Billy hit Bradley on his arm.

Billy came and gave you and Leia a kiss good night, then returned back into the house. You handed Leia back to Bradley. He gently placed Leia into her car seat. He positioned her head to lie on one of the sides and he buckled her in. He fixed the passenger seat and helped you into the car. He drove back to his house. He took Leia from the car and the three of you went into his house. Bradley brought Leia up to his room and laid her down on the bed.

The two of you went into the bathroom and cleaned up for bed. Bradley hung up his uniform and came out with one of his old Top Gun shirts for you to wear to bed. He helped you slip out of your dress and he helped put his shirt on. You sat on the bathtub and he took off your heels. He rubbed your feet tenderly and gave them kisses. He went to your overnight bag and grabbed your makeup wipes. He gently wiped the makeup from your face. He held your cheek and stroked his thumb over it. “You are beautiful, sweetheart. How did I get so lucky?” He kissed your nose. He went to throw away the makeup wipe and he grabbed your brush. He sat on the bathtub and patted his lap for you to sit on.

You sat on his lap and he leaned back slightly so he could brush your hair. He was being so gentle and it felt so good. When he was done tapped your thigh and you stood up. You stood in front of the mirror and he turned you to him. He grabbed your face lotion and applied some to his fingertips. He lightly put the lotion on your face, massaging you lightly. He gave you a kiss on your lips. “Now you’re ready for bed baby.”

You smiled up at him, “How did you know to do all that, Brad?”

He tucked your hair behind your ear, “I remember when we were in college and you used to get ready for bed you would always do this routine.”

You blushed and placed your hands on his. You gently nuzzled into his hand and placed a soft kiss on his palm. “I love you, Bradley Bradshaw. I love that you remember the small things.”

He rubbed your arm, “I love you too, baby girl.”

He brought you down the hall to the spare room. He got into bed with you and wrapped his arms around you. You fell asleep instantly.

You woke up and looked at the time. It was 3 AM. You looked around and Bradley was gone. You saw little light coming from the crack of the bedroom door. You went to the door and opened it slightly. You could hear music playing softly down the hall. You followed the light and the music. Bradley’s bedroom door was cracked. You peaked through.

Bradley was holding Leia. She had her arms wrapped around his neck and her face nestled into his neck. Bradley held her with one arm and his other hand up in her hair. He was slowly scratching her head. He had his cheek laid against her head and he had his eyes closed. He swayed slowly with her and sang the song softly.

“And every time I close my eyes I thank the Lord that I’ve got you, and you’ve got me too.”

Leia got up slightly and wiped her tears, Bradley kissed her cheek and wiped her tears. “You’re okay, sweetheart. Daddy’s here.” She laid back down and he rubbed her back. He placed a kiss on the top of her head and continued to rock and comfort her.

You watched Bradley as he swayed with Leia and comforted her. He didn’t see you watching as he had his moment with Leia. You bit your lip and tears welled up in your eyes. Your heart felt so full. Bradley’s dad mode had kicked in so quickly. He was such a natural as if he had been doing this all his life. He didn’t miss a beat. In the last 72 hours of finally meeting and being with Leia, he was perfect. He continued to sing your mom and dad’s wedding song to Leia as he danced her back to sleep.

“To think of all the nights I’ve cried myself to sleep, You really ought to know how much you mean to me.”

You went back to the spare room and sat on the bed. You heard the door open and Bradley’s eyes met with yours. He smiled and closed the door.

“You okay, baby?” He sat next to you and put his arm around you placing a kiss on your temple.

“I am perfect, Bradley.” You kissed him on his lips.

The next morning after waking up and getting ready, You, Bradley, and Leia got back into your car.

He looked over at you and gestured for you to lean over the middle console. He leaned into your ear and whispered very softly so Leia wouldn’t hear you two.

“How do you feel about Leia meeting the squad?”

“I think that’s a great idea. I think she can learn how to be the best backseater from Bob.”

Bradley nodded in approval.

“I will see what they’re all up to then.” He sent out a group text to the squad.

Bradley: What’s everyone doing?

Hangman: Relaxing.

Payback: Just with the wife.

Bob: I’m with Phoenix and Fanboy.

Coyote: I was sleeping. Hungover from yesterday.

Mav: With our darling Admirals, Hondo, and Penny.

Phoenix: Why?

Bradley: Super random, but Legoland anyone?

Fanboy: ME ME ME!

Hangman: I’M IN.

Mav: We are only coming to babysit…

Payback: On my way!

Phoenix: Uhhh DUH.

Bob: I get sick on rides, guys…

Coyote: Fuck this hangover. Just need some Gatorade. Be there in 5!

He looked at you and smiled.

“Baby, this is such a pick-up-and-go kind of thing, but how do you feel about Legoland for a late birthday present from me?”

You pulled back and looked at him shocked. “Wait, really?”

He bit his lower lip and nodded with devious eyes.

“Yea! Yea, let’s do it!” You said in a loud whisper.

Bradley kissed you and started the car. He adjusted the rearview mirror to see Leia.

“Sweetheart, how do you feel about going to Legoland?”

She squealed, “Wait! Really?”

Bradley turned around to look at her, “Oh I’m dead serious, pumpkin.”

Leia sprawled out all her limbs and screamed at the top of her lungs, “YESSSSSSS!!”

The next thing you knew, you were all on your way to Carlsbad to go to Legoland. Leia was not only getting one present by going to Legoland but she was also going to get to meet some of Bradley’s friends. Leia fell asleep 5 minutes into the ride to Carlsbad. You and Bradley had a conversation about whom you think she would like the most of everyone.

Bradley looked at you, “I think she’ll like Bob the most."

You shook your head, “I think she’ll probably like Phoenix the most, Bradley.”

“You know you’re right. You know, y/n. Phoenix is the only one that knows about Leia.”

Your head snapped to Bradley, “How did she find that out?”

Bradley gulped, “I was nervous as hell after saying bye to you when I left for the mission. She and I were talking and I told her about Leia.”

You put your hand on his lap and rubbed it, “Well I’m really glad you had someone to talk to when you were there. I’m sure it was very nerve-wracking.”

He took a deep stuttered breath, “You have no idea, y/n.” He started to get tense.

You massaged his thigh, “Hey, we don’t have to talk about this if you’re not ready.”

Bradley briefly took his hand off go the wheel and placed it on yours, “Thank you, y/n.”

You smiled at Bradley in a comforting way, “I will always be here for you, Brad. I will always be here to listen.” You squeezed his hand.

Bradley smiled back at you, “Thank you, y/n. That really does mean so much to me.” He squeezed your hand back.

You leaned back into your chair. “Actually, I change my mind.”

He cocked his back, “What?”

“I really think Leia will fancy Hangman.”

Bradley turned his head slowly to you. “I will stomp on these breaks right now, y/n.”

You started to laugh, “I mean he’s a handsome guy. If she’s anything like her mom-”

Bradley cut you off, “No. Shut up y/n.” He was so serious.

You wanted to push his patience, “I mean I’m just saying, honey. Hangman is-”

He stopped you again, “Y/n, Seresin, and I made amends during the mission and all, but I do not need for you to share the details on how you think he’s hot.”

You had him right where you wanted him, “Is that jealousy that I am smelling off of you? Huh, Rooster? Is someone getting a little TENSE?”

He knew what you were doing, you never called him by his call sign unless you were gonna push his buttons. “Do not start, y/n. Don’t call me Rooster. You’re asking for it, sweetheart.”

You leaned over the middle console and looked at him while he drove, “Or you’ll do what, lieutenant?”

He looked at you from the corner of his eye, “I’m not giving you that satisfaction.” He smirked.

You leaned back in your seat, “I put money that she’s going to want to be his ride partner all day today.”

He turned to you, “$100 and a date?”

“You’re going down, Bradshaw.” You put your fist out and he bumped it. “Deal.”

You finally arrived at Legoland and everyone was waiting for you guys in the parking garage.

Bradley got out and called over to everyone. They all waved and made their way over to your car. Bradley came around and opened your door. Everyone was so excited to see you, they all gave you a hug one by one and greeted you. Bradley went to open the door behind you to get little Leia. She was still asleep so he carried her out. As soon as he closed the door everyone got silent and just watched as Bradley carried a slumped tired child.

Phoenix was the first to come forward. She covered her mouth and had wide eyes as she approached the sleeping child that was slung over Bradley’s chest.

“oh my gosh! Y/n is this her?” She placed her hand on your arm and went up to the sleeping child. She brushed Leia’s hair that was covering her face back and her mouth flew open in awe, “Oh my gosh, she is beautiful!” Phoenix caressed Leia’s cheek and patted Bradley on the back. Bradley looked over to Phoenix and smiled at her.

“She is so precious!” Phoenix grabbed Leia's limp hand and help it, “Oh my goodness! Her little hands!”

Coyote chuckled at Phoenix, “Careful now Phoenix. You’re going to catch the baby fever!” They all started to laugh together.

Phoenix glared at Coyote and rolled her eyes, “Whatever, Coyote.”

Payback looked at Bradley surprised, “Damn Rooster, already playing daddy duty?” He looked at him and laughed.

Fanboy egged it on with Payback, “Yea man, who would have ever thought out of all of us you would want to play dad.” He started to laugh too.

Bob looked at Fanboy and Payback confused. He looked over at Rooster and was more reassuring, “I think it looks good on you, Rooster!” He nodded his head.

Hangman’s lips were parted as he looked at you, “Y/n, I didn’t know you had a kid?”

Coyote came and rested a hand on your shoulder, “Legoland makes so much more sense now.” He chuckled. “I thought we were just a bunch of grown-ass adults that wanted to come to Legoland. Now I don’t feel so guilty over being overly excited.” He took a sip from his Gatorade bottle.

Leia started to stir and she looked at Bradley, “Are we here?”

Bradley kissed her temple and moved her hair as she started to wake up, “We are here, sweetheart and there are some friends I want you to meet. They’re pilots like Mav and me.” Her eyes shot wide open when Bradley said “Pilots.” Your daughter turned around slowly with a smile on her sleepy face.

You looked at her and smiled, “Good morning, baby! Did you have a good nap?” She rubbed her eyes and nodded.

You turned to the guys, all of their smiles wiped off of their faces, just pure shock. Their jaws were all hanging open. The Gatorade fell out of Coyote’s mouth and he dropped the bottle. It splattered all over the place. You started to giggle, and you looked back at Bradley holding Leia. With him smiling and Leia smiling, their faces next to each other, there was no way they could deny that she was his.

The guys looked at you and then your daughter and Bradley. It was silent. You, Bradley, and Phoenix started to laugh.

Bob stuttered slightly, “She…She looks exactly like Rooster?” He was so confused. But then a smile washed over his face. “Wow! Congratulations you two!” He went over to give Leia a high five, “Hi, I'm Bob.”

She gave him a high five, “I’m Leia. Is Bob your real name or call sign?” She smiled as her little hand lingered on Bob’s hand. “Call sign.” He turned to Phoenix surprised.

Fanboy blinked at Bradley trying to process the twins that appeared in front of him, “Rooster, you have a kid? When were you going to tell us?” He patted your back as he passed through to meet your daughter.

Bradley fist-bumped Fanboy, “You’re meeting her now, man.”

Bradley put her down so she could meet everyone. She stayed close to Bradley, she was nervous. She had her back pressed against his thighs and Bradley placed his hands on her shoulders, “You’re okay, sweetheart.”

She stood there quietly and smiled. Fanboy put a fist out, “Hi there, my call sign is Fanboy.” She fist-bumped him back, “Hi Fanboy, I'm Leia.” She said softly, still smiling.

“She’s beautiful y/n!” Fanboy looked over at you.

Payback made his way over to Bradley and Leia, “That’s so crazy man. How old is she?” He had his hand out to shake Leia’s. She grabbed his hand and shook it. “It’s lovely to meet you, sweetie. I’m Payback.”

“Hi I’m Leia, it's nice to meet you.”

Bradley rubbed Leia’s shoulders to help calm her nerves as his friends met her, “She’s 6. Actually, she just turned 6. That’s why we are here. It’s a birthday present from her mom and me.” You let Bradley do all the talking, you could see he was so excited to show off his little girl to his friends.

Hangman chuckled, “Well, Rooster. I didn’t think you had it in you.” He paused and looked at Bradley. “But you do look good, Rooster.” He smiled and came to Leia. “Hey cutie, I’m Hangman.” He knelt down to Leia’s height and put his hand up for a high five.

“Like the game?” She gave him a sift high-five and they all started laughing.

“Yes, like the game.” Hangman smiled at Leia.

“I’m Leia, like the princess.”

Hangman patted her head, “It's nice to meet you, Princess Leia.” Leia blushed.

You looked over at Bradley and mouthed, “You’re going down, Bradshaw.” He shook his head at you.

Coyote threw his arm over your shoulder, “She is beautiful, y/n.”

Bradley cleared his throat and interjected, “Hey, uh yea. Thanks, Coyote. Does that make me beautiful too? Because she looks just like me.” Bradley took off his aviators and smiled cheekily at Coyote.

Coyote made his way over to Bradley, “Oh Rooster, You’re smoking.” He laughed and fist-bumped Bradley. Coyote squatted down by Leia, “Hi sweetheart, I’m Coyote. It’s great to finally meet you.” He stuck out his finger to Leia.

Leia grabbed his finger and shook it, “Hi Coyote. I like your call sign. If I get a puppy I want to name them that.”

Coyote patted Leia’s head and stood up.

You all made your way to the entrance of Legoland. You all waited for the rest of the group to show up before you all entered. Mav and Penny showed up with Hondo. Bradley introduced him to Leia. Hondo took a step back and put his hands over his mouth.

Hondo lit up with excitement, “Oh no way, Rooster!” He looked at Leia, “My god, she looks just like you.” He put his arms out and Leia hugged him. “Hey, sweetheart. I’m Hondo. I'm a friend of Mav and your dad’s.”

She was still shy, “Hi Hondo, im Leia.” Then Bradley brought Hondo over to you and introduced you to him.

He placed his hand on the small of your back and stood next to you, “Babe, this is Hondo.” Hondo racked his hand out to you, “It’s lovely to finally meet you. Mav has told me so much about you.”

You smiled and shook his hand, “It's nice to meet you as well, Hondo. I’m y/n.”

Hondo looked at Bradley and none, “Beautiful girls, Rooster.” Bradley gave you a soft kiss on the top of your head.

The last ones to show up were Cyclone and Warlock.

“God that’s weird to see them in civi’s.” Bradley said with a disgusted look.

Everyone looked and laughed as they approached. Bradley approached them and shook their hands as well as everyone else. Then Bradley brought them over to you, “Admirals this is my girlfriend, y/n.” “Babe, this is Cyclone and Warlock.”

You smiled and reached your hand out to Warlock, “It’s a pleasure admiral.”

He smiled at you, “She’s a keeper, Rooster.”

And then you put your hand out to Cyclone, you nodded and smiled, “Admiral, nice to meet you.” He was very straight-faced, he gave you a small smile and grabbed your hand, and shook it.

“Told you he’s hella serious, babe,” Bradley said under his breath to you.

Cyclone looked between you and Bradley, “Y/n, you’re far too pretty for this guy.” He let out a laugh. “Thank you, admiral. I know she is.” Bradley laughed.

“I have one more person for you two to meet if that’s okay.” Bradley looked at them and they both nodded. He made his way over to Phoenix who was holding Leia’s hand. Bradley tapped Phoenix's shoulder and she let go of Leia’s hand. Bradley placed her right in front of him and crouched down behind her.

He put his hands on her arms giving her some comfort, “Sweetheart, these are more friends of mine. They used to be pilots too.” He pointed to each of them, “This is Cyclone and this is Warlock. Can you go and say hi to them?” She stood there shyly, “It’s okay, baby. I've got you. It's okay.” Bradley nudged her a little towards them. They both came down to her level.

“Hi, I’m Leia. It's nice to meet you.” They both gave her little handshakes, “It's nice to meet you too, sweetheart.” They both said. She backed up and ran back into Bradley’s arms. He picked her up and went to them. “Sorry, my girl is shy. She’s meeting a lot of people today.” He rubbed her back as she nuzzled her face in his neck to hide.

“Bradshaw, is she yours?” Cyclone looked at him confused.

“Yes, sir this is my daughter.” Cyclone and Warlock looked at each other, “How long have you had your daughter, Rooster?” Warlock interjected.

“I uh. Well…” Warlock shook his head, smiled, and patted him on the back, “Congratulations, Rooster. She’s a beauty!”

Cyclone walked around the back of Bradley to look at your daughter. “Hey sweetheart, it's okay.” He gently poked her hand and she looked up. “Oh, she is definitely your daughter, Bradshaw. If she could grow a mustache that is you.” He patted him on the back and laughed, “There is no denying her, Lieutenant.” Bradley laughed. “Congratulations, you’re going to be great.” Cyclone smiled at him.

“Thank you, sir. With guidance from her mom.” He nodded to you, “I know I’ll be the best I can be.”

After everyone met Leia, you all finally made it into Legoland.
