I do wish I could get into a fandom that isn't me and the dozen people who also listen to this one audiodrama. However, since I spent the weekend listening to a playlist of global metal music, then accidentally stumbled into a near complete collection of Avon Fantasy Readers and Weird Tales, I suspect very little will change.

"As you may know, Illinois is the only state that has a law making it legal for homo-sexuals to cohabit... But the cops still try to give them a hard time." -- Slim Brundage, April 26, 1966
Slim Brundage papers, 1955-1991
Mattachine Midwest, the first successful gay rights organization in Chicago, was founded in 1965 to fight against discrimination and provide support to LGBTQ+ people. This letter, written by College of Complexes founder Slim Brundage to George Murray, details the group's attempts to find safe places amidst harassment from the police--despite the fact that they weren't breaking any Illinois laws.
