It depends on the school! I am unfamiliar with BS/MD schools specifically (as it seems like is true for the rest of the RTTJ team), but I think if you Google each individual school, the internet may be of some help to you.

To be honest, I don't think that 20 point bump will serve you well compared to the amount of time you study for the exam. What if you end up doing worse? 1560 is already a very high score and that could be entirely plausible. You are incredibly correct that you are very pressed for time.

I think your best bet is to make those essays absolutely FIRE — like I've said over and over again here, this is really the only thing you have left in your control. For something as competitive as BS/MD, this could totally make or break your application.

Senior with a 4.2 finishing junior year GPA :( . Aspired BS/MD but not even sure where I stand now for any or any pre med. Can you please suggest chances to BSMD and any good pre med schools I could apply (my intentions were for UPitt, W&M, UVA, VCU, VTech, GWU, Georgetown, Cornell) but request if any suggestions on prospective colleges. Notes - not targeting for ivys. Progressed in junior year from a 4.0 to 4.2, lot of volunteering and few gold awards, heavy on research, no science fairs. TIA

Well, GPA isn't everything. Upward trend is good, but if you have volunteering that's definitely a plus. If your research generally aligns with your intended major, that's also a good sign.

As a senior, focus on maintaining good grades during first semester, but more importantly, get those essays as good as you can. That's the only thing you can change now, really, so try to max out the potential you've got.
