I think I posted my Mea Culpa to the wrong Tumblr blog...

Anyway. I want to make it known that I am no longer associated with Zena and Poppy or their channel. And I wholeheartedly condemn their actions.

It took me WAY too long to wake up to their manipulation (As someone who literally researches abuse, it's humbling to be reminded that I'm not immune to abuse/manipulation tactics).

I gave them the benefit of the doubt for WAY too long, and I caused harm as a result. For that, I am so SO sorry.

I wish I could turn the clock back and wake my past self up. But since that's not an option, I want to make whatever amends I can for believing Poppy and Zena for FAR too long.

To everyone Poppy and Zena harmed/manipulated, please know I believe you and stand with you. Unequivocally.

I had my concerns given your silence back then, but now I understand that you were in a tight position and wrestling with the fact that the people you cared for were not who you thought they were. You're right, we can't turn back time, but I personally find your outspokeness atonement enough. It is NOT at all easy to admit this stuff.

I have a tentative job offer!!!!

I interviewed yesterday with a vocational rehabilitation agency. They work with people with disabilities getting and maintaining jobs.

They called today to make sure I was feeling good about it and are sending the hiring paperwork! Once the background stuff clears I get my start date!!!!!

I didn’t wanna be back in social work, but this absolutely lines up with my interests. If I could be a life coach, it was for budgeting and employment services. The thing I loved most about my case management job in the past was employment and budgeting skills. So, this is the next step for all that.

And the BEST news is that they have offices where M and I are looking to move depending on the political climate here in the near future. So there’s a chance I could just transfer! And that site has a BUDGETING SKILLS position teaching teens and adults with disabilities how to manage their finances 😊😊
