been forever since i've done one of these, but fuck it, i dont feel like being annoying in any discord servers.

btv update:

the party has killed roash, the false reaper, who has been stealing memories and during the fight last session stole SEVERAL of ours which made for an interesting game mechanic. fade, whom we have not seen in a very long time shows up and is like "awesome so we can talk now" and basically tells us that she and fucking legend, who is there and hearing us bitch about him lmaoooo are in a secret society and they want to resurrect a god and fix the afterlife. however, theyd need the moth. we tell them to give us a day to recover and think, and decide basically to not give them the moth, the compass, or the hammer which would all help them in their goal. we dont like them we want to inconvenience them. also adora had this whole thing where she basically went "if i die i dont want my friends to remember me dying because it would be traumatic for them" and we basically responded with "we'll deal with it." idk we're going to archenvale next itll be fun

also as character updates: teo has a crush on adora, aerin has married their ex who is also their soulmate, adora is having like 7 existential crises at all times, and the entire party is now sworn to a god. thumbsup.

my take on angel gender is that he doesn't necessarily enjoy masculinity but i do think he needs it precisely because he doesn't. like he needs to access it and its expectations in order to perform the masculine protector role because that's all part of his penance. yknow. and i don't mean he's experiencing dysphoria as self-flagellation but rather that his gender is just jesus (gn), and to NOT suffer would actually be what causes him dysphoria

Lies My Parents Told Me: Robin Wood seeks revenge on Spike for killing his mother nearly 30 years ago, whilst everyone else tries to find out how The First has control over him.

1. 3 ships - So I usually rotate my top ships as to which I'm currently very into. So the currently top contenders are Sterek (it's like I'm back in 2012 with how far into these feels I am), Obikin (it's had a tight hold on me since 2020, even if I'm not showing it much love right now) and Stevetony.

2. first ever ship - Cory x Shawn x Topanga from Boy Meets World. Though I could also argue that it was Faith x Buffy from BtVS or Xena x Gabrielle from XWP. I kind of fell into all three roughly around the same time, so not entirely sure which is the true first one for me.

3. last song - Something Real by Post Malone. (@asexual-fandom-queen this song is still fucking me up and I'm still blaming you for it!)

4. last movie - The Nightmare Before Christmas.

5. currently reading - I'm actually currently in between both books and fics right now.

6. currently watching - Critical Role (trying to catch up on the current campaign) and debating with myself about doing a re-watch of Teen Wolf to see if I can finally finish it out. I stopped after 4 :/

Experimental campaign idea

I’ve been trying to figure out how to explain my next campaign setting/idea in a brief, sensible way.  It’s really silly, but also really ambitious, and we’re about to have the second session, which means I really need to get a firmer grasp on all the moving parts.  To that end, here are the 3 main things I’m doing with it:

Self-insert PCs - All Player Characters are self-insert, so everybody’s just literally themselves.

Reality is a simulation - The players are “pulled out” of our world, and “plugged into” another one.  They are thrown back and forth with little explanation, hopefully motivating them to investigate why.

A Multiverse of RPGs -  Initially the world they are thrown into will be Shadowrun, since it already has an understanding of “jacking into the matrix.”  However, the goal is for them to try and find a way to escape from the world of Shadowrun, only to find themselves trapped in the world of Earthdawn instead.  The levels of reality are nested, so escaping one simulation leads them to discover what they thought was “reality” is in fact another simulation.

It’s basically “Sliders” meets “eXistenZ”

World 0x0800:  Fake Shadowrun, but a very glitchy VR video game, simulating the world of Shadowrun.  It is so glitchy, that the players are able to exploit it in a way that creates a rift in the underlying simulation of all worlds, allowing them to begin traveling between worlds.  

World 0x0700: Real The world of Shadowrun.  The players were hired to pull a series of jobs in a popular video game, but after the first few jobs, the world of Shadowrun started to demonstrate weird glitches just like the video game.  Players try to escape to get back to their “real lives.”

World 0x0600: Spawn point.  No system/setting.  This is the world players initially find themselves in when the campaign starts.  It is clear that 0x0800 isn’t real, it is also implied that 0x0700 may not be real.  All but one player is currently assuming that 0x0600 is probably “real.”

World 0x0500: Earthdawn  After finally realizing 0x0600 is not real, the players escape and find themselves in Earthdawn.  In the world of Earthdawn, the players are welcomed as rescued heroes that had been trapped by the Horrors of Barsaive.  They are finally awake, and all of their previous adventures are considered nightmares, but not real.  Other nightmares and astral adventures will occur from here, throwing the adventurers into 0x0610 (d&d), 0x0620 (pathfinder), and 0x0630 (Golden Sky).  Once the players find out 0x0500 isn’t real either, they escape to...

World 0x0400: Trail of Cthulhu  Players find themselves to be mental patients in a late-30s mental asylum, locked up for their insane ramblings about the future, and for being suspects in the murder of a local business magnate.  Lovecraftian Whodunit to follow, giving them the ability to travel to other worlds, such as 0x510 (Solomon Kane) and 0x520 (Castle Falkenstein), which forces them to collect powerful magical items in order to escape to...

World 0x0300: GURPS Cyberpunk - Players find themselves to be unwitting contestants on a reality game show, where their simulated adventures are a form of public entertainment.  In addition to worlds 0x4000 - 0x8000, the players will now be throw into additional fictional settings for one-shot adventures to entertain the masses.  These adventures include 0x410 (Star Wars), 0x420 (TMNT), 0x430 (BtVS), and other popular franchises.  If they are able to escape this world, they find themselves in...

World 0x0200: Android RPG by Fantasy Flight Games.  They are recently activated androids, designed to replace a series of violent malfunctioning androids.  They have to hunt down their counterparts and stop them.  If they succeed in escaping the world the enter....

World 0x0100: A Tron-like world, probably using d20 mechanics of Horizon:Virtual, unless I can find something better.  Players find out they are each distinct AI/ML processes being groomed for placement in the “real world” to infiltrate & replace humanity.  All of their adventures up to this point is to help them simulate being actual humans, but able to understand why humans must be replaced.

“Ascend” as AI/ML constructs in synthetic bodies and step out into the real world for the first time.

Destroy the Master Control Program that’s been pulling the strings behind the entire campaign, but trapping themselves in the simulated environment in the process

Return to what they originally thought was the real world (Planet Earth in the 2020s)

Something else that I haven’t thought of that the players do instead.  Obviously, this is going to be the one that actually happens and I can’t wait to find out what it is.

Ok thoughts on the second round because we had yet another shocking twist!

Last time the leverage fandom came through and absolutely tore through what I thought would be sure wins - and this time the Jaskier fans came in at the very last minute to turn this entire thing on its head.

I spent most of the day refreshing the Daredevil vs Deadpool poll - Matt was winning when I went to sleep last night, but Wade was winning by at least .1 from the moment I woke up today, but never by enough for me to be SURE he'd survive his first round. Therefore when I saw that Jason had had more than 70% of the votes for most of the day, I didn't think to worry about it.

Penny-anna is the game changer here tho! Three reblogs of the Jaskier vs Jason poll later and it ends up on thebibliosphere's dash, of all fucking people, and next thing I know that poll has double the amount of votes that Parker vs Percy had and about half an hour before the end נהפוך הוא (things flipped on their head) and Jaskier ended up sticking the landing!

Another stressful poll was Tara vs Lois. Lois was in the lead almost the entire time, but in the last two hours it became a VERY close thing, and Lois only won with 50.6% of the votes - the only DC character to survive, since Jason got taken out by Jask and poor Timmy didn't stand a chance against Peter. Similarly, while Buffy was in the lead against Eliot Spencer for most of the day, Eliot did manage to pull through for a bit there, and I was sad at the thought that Spike, Tara, AND Buffy herself would all end up eliminated. I'm glad that we ended up with some DC and Buffy rep.

We move on to the third round with four marvel characters, and a character each from btvs, DC, leverage, and the Witcher. Wish your fav blorbo luck, and don't forget - campaigning is not only allowed, but encouraged, and that includes me!

“A large-scale national campaign against driving under the influence begins tonight”. This was stated by the resigned Prime Minister Kiril Petkov at a briefing on the occasion of the tragic car crash in Sofia.

“Today we decided to declare war on all recidivists. Yesterday's tragedy, like the tragedy with Milen Tsvetkov, was caused by driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. No one should be above the law”, the Prime Minister was categorical.

Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov confirmed that a police officer assisted the accused Georgi Semerdzhiev after the accident.

"She has relations with him, what they are exactly - it will be clarified in the course of the investigation. There (in Semerdzhiev's car) such objects were found that are attributes of police officers - a blue lamp, a baton. Hardly there is reason to have items in this person's car that are only used by police officers."

Rashkov stated that he is waiting for information about another witness who is currently being questioned and will probably confirm the information.

"Be assured that the moment the appropriate conclusions are drawn and incapacity to perform police duties is proven, I will do everything in my power as a minister to part ways with these officers."

"We will try to clarify in detail the case related to Semerdzhiev. Including if there is enough data about complicit activity of Ministry of Internal Affairs employees to a certain extent. Including all cases for which we already have doubts that they were neglected to some extent. And whether someone indirectly caused this tragic outcome," he stated.

Rashkov also announced that Georgi Semerdzhiev has not had a driver's license since 2005, but has driven various vehicles to this day. The authorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have taken dozens of actions regarding Semerdzhiev's previous offenses. Files were also sent to the prosecutor's office, but the prosecution returned them with instructions to impose only administrative fines.

"I want to tell you that during the past 6 years, Georgi Semerdzhiev had a great opportunity after his driving license was revoked, to take an exam and get a new one. We have indisputable data that instead of doing this, he tried to get a driver's license from Switzerland. We received data from there that no similar document was issued to a Bulgarian citizen," said Boyko Rashkov.

The Minister of the Interior has ordered the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to undertake immediate checks on all cases in which Georgi Semerdzhiev violated the law and, accordingly, whether the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have done their job.

The press conference was also attended by the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Petko Todorov, and the Director of the Metropolitan Traffic Police, Tencho Tenev.

Knowing what we now know about how petty JW can be, I always wonder if he got SMG blacklisted by his producer friends over whatever BTW quarrels they'd had. Not only is she legit a good actor, she had buzz: A Maybelline campaign, interviews with everyobe from Howard Stern to Parade magazine, and roles in successful films like Cruel Intentions and The Grudge (which, yes, came out around the time BtVS ended, but that doesn't mean Joss wasn't already spreading rumors or w/e to undercut her).
