I just wanted to give an update on my van. I may make Sunday about vanlife and the rest of the week about art. I don’t currently have any rules for this blog.

Anyway it’s going to be super cold in the Midwes,and a snow storm is likely coming. I took the time this weekend to prepare.

1. I got food and water because a gal gotta eat!

2. I got hot water bottles for my feet in bed.

3. 2 heavy blankets one is wool and the other is heavy cotton.

4. I got a buddy heater for when I am awake.

I was on the fence about getting the heater because it’s propane in my van. I originally bought a 20 lb tank of propane but I got home and realized I had no place to put it! I returned it easy peezy. I was going to take the buddy heater back to the store too, but once I heard about the storm I figured I better keep it for now until I can find something better.

The other alternative is a Camco Olympian Wave 3 heater. It’s slimmer and only puts out 3,000 BTUs and the Buddy Heater puts out as much as 9,000 literally 3x more heat. Because I get drafts from the doors I thought having something with a higher heat rating would be better. So far I am right.

I even got a cooler. I revamped my food storage . I have more access to food in my van. So far I am starting to feel cozy and prepared for the season. My work isn’t done yet.

寒くなりストーブの季節です。 トヨトミストーブks67h オリーブオイルがこぼれ焦げ付き カバー類は簡単にバラせるので割と掃除はしやすいです👌 スポンジ研磨材でこすり掃除完了。 対流型灯油ストーブではかなり暖かいですが高燃費です🔥 続いてレインボーストーブ 給油して着火テスト こちら初期ストーブなんですが、光は綺麗なんですが暖かさが欠けます😅 カセットガスストーブ→寒さに弱く冷え込んだ外気だと役に立ちません😅 ビックバディ、リトルバディ、バディーヒーターはlpgストーブです。usから輸入した物になりますが、かなりの能力がありプロパンなので寒さにも強いです。 更にプロパンシリンジが使えるのでコンパクトに暖まれます。 が、燃費が少々悪いです😿 コロナのブルーバーナーは1番パワーがありますが、やはり燃費が最高に悪くガンガン焚くと一晩で20L消えます🔥 現場の開口塞いでたコンパネ類もやっと車から下ろして片付けられました❗️ ハスクは謎のバッテリー上がりに悩まされて暗電流計測したりしたんですがほぼ0… バッテリーも普通に充電できて復活するんですが、何日が経つと完全放電され始動不可😅 バッテリーが死んでる雰囲気が無かったんですがバッテリー交換して完治しました👌 プロパンはバルブが緩まなかったのでバルブから水溜めてホルソーでカットし引火しない様に穴を開けて水をガンガン注入しカットしました。 #有限会社川﨑製作所#灯油ストーブ#lpgストーブ#カセットガスストーブ#トヨトミストーブ#レインボーストーブ#トヨトミレインボーストーブ#ks67h#ks67h分解#コロナ#コロナストーブ#コロナブルーバーナー#ブルーバーナー#押忍番長#buddyheater#bigbuddy#littlebuddy#buddyheaters#import#stove#heater#kerosen#lpg#lng#propane#propanestove #propaneheater#プロパンガスボンベ#プロパンガスボンベ切断 (有限会社川﨑製作所 kawasaki works co.Ltd) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIBMddmgfwN/?igshid=1asmjtcbkhx5a

The Buddy Heater (By MrHeater) is an excellent off-grid heater. The outside temperature hit -1c this morning at Seaside Oregon. Time to keep the outside water hose off and run on tank water. Hooked up the Buddy heater this morning as the furnace kept running all night with little results. The electric heater was going full all night and the temp barely hit 20c inside. So after turning the buddy heater on the temp quickly hit 25c inside halfway across the room. The Buddy uses less Propane to run and less power as there is no blower, all convection heat instead. Just need USB fans to circulate the heat. USB fans barely use any power.
