About Video :
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a life-saving technique used in emergencies when someone's heartbeat or breathing has stopped. It involves chest compressions and rescue breaths to maintain circulation and oxygen flow to vital organs until professional help arrives. Key steps include checking responsiveness, calling emergency services, performing chest compressions at a rate of 100-120 per minute and a depth of 2 inches for adults, and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) if available. Immediate CPR can double or triple survival chances.
Questions Addressed :
What are the key steps in performing CPR on an adult?
How does the technique for CPR differ between adults, children, and infants?
When should you perform hands-only CPR instead of traditional CPR with rescue breaths?
How do you check for responsiveness and breathing before starting CPR?
What is the recommended compression depth and rate for effective chest compressions?
How do you use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) during CPR?
What are the potential risks or complications associated with performing CPR?

A Buffalo Bills player, Damar Hamlin, collapsed on the field tonight after a severe hit. An ambulance had to come on the field to revive him; he is now in critical condition at a local hospital in Cincinnati. He received several minutes of CPR on the field. His teammates were understandably distraught. So were the Cincinnati Bengals.
After he was transported off the field, the NFL told both teams they had five minutes to warm up and resume play.
The coaches pulled their teams off the field after the Cincinnati coach went over to talk to the Buffalo coach.
It took the NFL an hour to decide to suspend the game.
An hour.

Really hope Damar Hamlin makes a full recovery after that hit last night. For any one who doesn’t know, Damar, player for NFL team Buffalo Bills, went into cardiac arrest mid game after a tackle. This has drawn a lot of comparison to Christian Eriksen’s collapse in the last EUROs. But a lot of those comparisons are poor.
1. Eriksen was conscious when they took him off on a stretcher. There are no reports Damar has been conscious, only that his heart was beating again.
2. Eriksen’s cardiac arrest was not directly caused by the game. A lot has not yet been made public about Damar, partly because evaluations are still ongoing. However the theory I have seen from doctors online is something called Commotio Cordis, which if true would mean that the blunt force of the tackle on his chest directly caused his heart to stop. This is a huge difference especially when we consider psychological impact on teammates.
3. While it is true that the game Eriksen collapsed in did resume after a 30 minute break, UEFA was widely criticised for that at the time. The players were clearly upset and distracted, even though they knew he had been revived and did his little wave as he was carried off. And rightly so, I have no criticism for the players being effected by that. But for the Bill players, there was no confirmation Damar was fully revived, only that his heart had been restarted. The NFL gets lots of things wrong but suspending the Bills v Bengals game was right.

These were the words doctors told Damar Hamlin after he asked ‘Did we win?’
For those of you who might not be aware/don’t follow football, on Monday Night, in the first quarter of the game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals, Damar Hamlin collapsed after a routine tackle against Bengals player Tee Higgins. After countless amounts of CPR, Hamlin was taken to the hospital and the game understandably postponed after both coaches were consulted about the possibility of resuming play.
Hamlin has been unconscious since Monday and in that time, his charity ChasingM’s has raised over 7 million dollars to help him buy toys for under privileged kids. There’s also been an outpour of support to Tee Higgins who has been coming under fire despite it being a clean tackle (and he was the one getting tackled). Earlier today, Bills quarterback Josh Allen gave Tee some words of encouragement at the press conference he and Bill coach Sean McDermott had. Higgins refused to leave the hospital until he heard Hamlin was okay.
I know I don’t post a lot about football (mainly because I don’t think people want to hear me ramble lol) but I wanted to post this--because after the rollercoaster of emotions that has been the past few days (from horror at seeing a 24 year old collapse on live TV to sadness at seeing the Bills faces to anger at the NFL possibly giving the number one seed to the Kansas City Chiefs after all the work and sacrifice the Bills made, both team and community) it’s nice to be able to experience joy and relief.
If you want to donate to Hamlin’s charity, I’ve included the link here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/mxksc-the-chasing-ms-foundation-community-toy-drive. Higgins also has a charity that I’ll include as well: https://axeals.org/.
On a side note: Bengals fans and team, from a Bills fan, I think you’ll always be honorary Bills after this. Your team could have said ‘no we want to keep playing’ but you didn’t. Joe Burrow led his team into the Bills locker room to offer support, Zac Taylor followed McDermott’s lead on what to do after McDermott allegedly said ‘I need to be at the hospital, we’ll take the forfeit’ and instead they made it so neither team got hit. And the fans have been leading prayer vigils outside the hospital. If the Bills don’t make it to the Superbowl, I’m rooting for the orange and black stripped kitty to go meow once more.

Supermodel Emily Ratajkowski slammed "emasculated" men after she broke up with comedian Pete Davidson.
Davidson and Ratajkowski were spotted together at a Knicks basketball game in November and dated for roughly two months, according to Page Six.
The supermodel, who has almost 30 million followers on Instagram alone, told her fans about her checkered dating history.
"I feel like I attract the worst men," she said on her popular podcast, "High Low With EmRata."
PETE DAVIDSON AND EMILY RATAJKOWSKI GO PUBLIC WITH COURTSIDE DATE NIGHT AT NEW YORK KNICKS GAME
One of her main problems with some men, Ratajkowski said, is that they "don’t know how to handle [a] strong woman."
She didn’t stop there.
"They start to tear you down, and then you're back to square one. And it's so f----- up and unfair, because I feel like a lot of men who truly think they want a strong woman actually don't know how to handle it," Ratajkowski said.
PETE DAVIDSON RETURNS TO INSTAGRAM WITH ELI MANNING IN AN UNEXPECTED JOINT ACCOUNT
Men who claim that they want to date a "strong woman," Ratajkowski added, don't understand "what it means for their own identity."
On the other hand, the London-born supermodel said that she didn’t want a man who was "overly confident," either.
"Sometimes I’m like, f--k, because I want a confident man. I don’t want an overly confident man who has something to prove and is trying to prove it through me. That is not what I want," she told her listeners.
PETE DAVIDSON, ELI MANNING BROMANCE BEGINS WITH NEW INSTAGRAM PAGE, SHARING GIANTS MEMORIES
The model had previously gone through a highly publicized break up with producer Sebastian Bear-McClard in July 2022.
The two got married in 2018 after only a few weeks of dating.
Ratajkowski also said that some men were changed by being in a relationship with her.
"Slowly they get emasculated and don't know what to do with those feelings, and then they resent you," she said.
Ratajkowski recently commented on the NFL after Damar Hamlin, a player for the Buffalo Bills, collapsed on the field and had to be rushed to the hospital.
"Sorry but…f--- the NFL," she tweeted Wednesday.  ________________

Calls for NFL Reforms Grow After Damar Hamlin Suffers Cardiac Arrest During Game
Chris Walker January 3, 2023
Tumblr media
Damar Hamlin, a 24-year-old safety in his second season with the Buffalo Bills, is in critical condition after going into cardiac arrest during a Monday night game with the Cincinnati Bengals.
After tackling wide receiver Tee Higgins, Hamlin took two steps and collapsed backward. Medical personnel immediately rushed to his side, administering CPR and giving him oxygen as he lay motionless on the ground. Hamlin was then strapped to a stretcher and carted off the field in an ambulance.
Commentators were at a loss for words, and went to commercial break several times during the 10 to 15 minutes that Hamlin received medical attention. Several players from both teams were visibly upset, with many crying and praying on the field as medical care was being administered.
It appears that players were initially told they would have five minutes in the locker room before resuming the game, but after coaches from both teams conferred with officials, it was agreed that the game should be suspended indefinitely. About an hour later, the NFL announced that the game would be postponed.
NFL vice president of football operations Troy Vincent disputed the claim that play was going to resume five minutes after Hamlin was driven off the field, even though it appeared on screen that players had been told to warm up after Hamlin was carted away, with Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow throwing footballs to his teammates during that time.
“Neither coach was talking about resuming play, the players were not thinking of resuming play,” Vincent said. “How do you resume play after seeing such a traumatic event?”
A statement from the Bills on Tuesday morning said that Hamlin’s heart had stopped but was restored by medical professionals on the field. He is now sedated and in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Jordan Rooney, Hamlin’s friend and marketing representative, tweeted earlier in the evening that Hamlin’s vitals had returned “to normal.”
Teams and players tweeted well wishes for Hamlin and expressed shock at the incident.
Many commentators urged the NFL to consider reforms in the wake of Hamlin’s injury and other worrisome injuries that took place earlier this season.
After explaining a number of scenarios that could have led to Hamlin collapsing on the field, ER physician and social media personality Jeremy Faust said that changes to the sport needed to be discussed. “The worst fears are being confronted, and this must trigger reform,” he said.
Some social media users, including political columnist Skip Bayless, questioned how the game could be resumed this late in the season. Nina Turner, a progressive former Ohio state lawmaker, condemned Bayless’s tweet, suggesting that it showcased the way sports leagues exploit athletes, particularly players of color.
“This goes to show how some dehumanize professional athletes, especially Black athletes,” Turner wrote on Twitter. “These athletes are people with families. They are people, not bodies meant for entertainment.”
In an op-ed for Truthout in October, journalist Harvey Wasserman, who once played football as a wide receiver, pointed to other serious injuries this season, arguing that changes to the sport were desperately needed. When Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa collapsed on the field earlier in the season after sustaining a hard hit to his head, for example, the team initially told the public he had undergone a “back injury.” Tagovailoa was allowed to play the following week, only to sustain yet another head injury.
While quarterbacks are especially in need of protection, players in all positions are at risk of severe injury, Wasserman noted.
“For all the focus on rules surrounding quarterbacks, the essence of the game at all positions remains embedded in its violence, with the expectation of injury being virtually universal,” he wrote.
Replacing tackling with the use of flags “may be the game’s only hope,” he went on, adding:
The violence lovers will whine that the sport is going “wimpy.” But in the long term, the whole game must be overhauled and made less brutal. The grotesque parade of seriously harmed young stars being carted off the field is not sustainable.
The reality is this…

May i ask what prompted you to make that cpr post? not that a reason is needed to do so but just asking
on monday night, buffalo bills player damar hamlin collapsed on the field during a game and went into cardiac arrest. he’s still in critical condition in the hospital but has been making a lot of signs of improvement the past couple days. a very critical part of his treatment was having cpr performed immediately and correctly by an athletic trainer with the team shortly after he lost his pulse.

I am waking up this morning in the same way I laid down to bed last night: Praying for Damar Hamlin.
Tumblr media
Admittedly, I was busy with some computer work last night that the game was not as high of a priority to me to watch. So, of course, I didn't see what happened initially when he collapsed on the football field in Cincinnati. It was only after curiosity got me to the ESPN website minutes later to see that the game was on hold because of this incident.
Like most of you probably did the same thing, my work was set aside as I became glued to the situation at Paycor Stadium, anxiously awaiting and praying for the health and well-being of the stricken Bills safety.
As the events unfolded on ESPN, most of the commentators and sports anchors were trying so hard to find the words to say. Heck, it’s not often that you come to a football game to see something like this happen and you have to set aside your sports commentary schtick and transform into someone like the late, great news anchor Walter Cronkite. I bet all of us, the television personalities included, were in complete shock over what happened to the point where we just had nothing in our vocabulary to describe it.
What struck me, though, were a couple of things that were being said on live television from ESPN NFL analyst--and former NFL safety--Ryan Clark. After going through a serious medical emergency on the football field himself in 2007, Clark provided a clear understanding that we were dealing with the life of a human being and not of a football player. On SportsCenter last night, Clark remarked:  “This is about Damar Hamlin. It was about a young man at 24-year-old living his dream…and now he fights for his life.”
He also made the courageous decision to openly discuss the power of prayer as he had mentioned his own mother was a prayer warrior herself especially during his playing days in the NFL. In a day and age where most mainstream television networks consider the idea of God to be an afterthought, it was clear that most of the television commentators had come to the realization that only God Himself was in control of the situation and that He is ultimately the one to bring healing to Damar Hamlin.
Though some people are still trying to figure out how this game suspension is going to figure in terms of the impending conclusion of the current NFL season, in my own convictions, I think all other football-related matters should be put on hold for now...especially regarding the status of this game--and the season--until we can be assured of the well-being of Damar Hamlin. The game isn’t important right now. A life hangs in the balance. As he remains in critical condition at the UC Medical Center in Cincinnati, may we all continue to pray for him...as well as be praying for his family, his Buffalo teammates and the rest of the NFL brotherhood.
Thanks for listening...and for praying, Chris

Stefon Diggs traded to the Houston Texans
Tumblr media
Stefon Diggs's trade rumors have finally been answered.
On Wednesday, The Buffalo Bills are sending wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Buffalo is also sending Houston a 2024 6th-round pick (No. 189 overall) and ESPN's 5th-round pick.
Diggs spent the last four seasons in Buffalo. Each season, he had over 100 catches. His best year was 2020, with 127 receptions and over 1500 yards. However, this last season was his worst, with only 1152 yards and 107 catches.
His second-season collapse could be part of the Bills firing offensive coordinator Ken Doresy after their Monday Night defeat against the Denver Broncos. Since Dorsey's departure, the four-time Pro Bowler has only had two games with 5+ catches and one touchdown.
Bills general manager Brandon Beane said, "This is by no means the Bills giving up or trying to take a step back or anything like that. Everything we do, we're trying to win, and we're going to continue to do that."
But the Bills have been taking a step back with their player departures lately. They released Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde and lost players to free agency, with Leonard Floyd signing with the 49ers and wide receiver Gabriel Davis signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Losing that many starting players seems to suggest that a rebuild is in the works, and the window of opportunity for a Super Bowl could be closed.
The new Houston Texan wide receiver posted a farewell message on his Instagram, saying, "I can't begin to express the amount of love and respect I have for the city of Buffalo ♥️💙. Four of the best years of my life, the city welcomed me with open arms. I'm forever grateful for you all and the @buffalobills organization ! Something special was built over these years with some very special men, that will always have a place in my heart. Billsmafia, so many great memories created throughout the years. Those games were crazy because of you. Sadly good things come to an end until we meet again ♾️ 14."
instagram
However, this trade puts the Texans at a Super Bowl contender level. The Texans have been shopping this offseason. Sending a 2024 7th-round draft pick (No. #224 overall), Mixon signed a 3-year $27 million contract with the Texans. Houston has also added pass rusher Danielle Hunter to a 2-year 49 million dollar contract.
Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud will have plenty of targets to choose from this season with wide receivers Nico Collins, Tank Dell, Stefon Diggs, and tight end Dalton Schultz.
It's still determined if the Bills will pursue a trade before the draft. Back in February, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins requested a trade, and San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Ayuik also requested a trade.
The Bills have 10 draft picks this year to work with, including the 28th pick overall.

Three children -- all 9 years old -- and three adults were killed in a mass shooting at The Covenant School, a small, private Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 27.
The suspect, 28-year-old Audrey Hale -- armed with two assault-style rifles, a handgun and "significant ammunition” -- allegedly shot through a locked door on the side of the school to gain entry, according to police.

Hale was shot dead by authorities about 14 minutes after the initial 911 call came in, according to police.
Hale was a former student at The Covenant School. Journals and maps were found in Hale's vehicle and home revealed the attack was planned over a period of months and that "Hale considered the actions of other mass murderers,” police said, but a motive was never released.
Bud Light boycott

A Bud Light product endorsement from Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender influencer, sparked backlash among many conservatives in April, inciting a boycott against Bud Light that hammered sales.
The consumer protest grew even larger after the initial response from the company was perceived as conciliatory by some LGBTQ advocates, prompting a wave of frustration on the left.
Enduring for months, the boycott imposed steep losses for the company’s U.S.-based business and triggered hundreds of layoffs.
Ultimately, Bud Light lost its spot as the nation’s most popular beer. Angry ex-customers helped propel the ascent of a rival: Modelo Especial.

Eighteen people were killed and 13 others were injured in a mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine, on Oct. 25. The shootings unfolded in two locations: a bowling alley where a children's league was taking place and a local bar.
In the wake of the massacre, grieving and shocked residents of Lewiston and neighboring towns were forced to shelter inside as authorities launched a massive manhunt for the suspect, Robert Card.
Card evaded capture for two days before he was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Oct. 27.

Card, a 40-year-old Army Reservist who had no combat deployments, had a well-documented series of warning signs that his psychological state was on a sharp decline in the months leading up to the shootings.
His immediate family members raised concerns to police in May that Card had begun to exhibit paranoid delusions and claimed people were saying "derogatory" things about him while out in public and that he was growing increasingly "angry and paranoid" through the spring.

Card was institutionalized for two weeks in July for psychological treatment and evaluation during a stay at West Point in New York, after it became clear to his fellow soldiers that his mental state was deteriorating. He was released after 14 days. The Army said it then directed Card’s commander that he "should not have a weapon, handle ammunition, and not participate in live fire activity."
In mid-September, Card's training supervisor wrote a worried letter to local law enforcement requesting a welfare check on Card, who he refers to as one of his senior firearms instructors, noting that Card had been "hearing voices" and it had "only gotten worse."
ABC News’ Sasha Pezenik, Julia Jacobo and Max Zahn contributed to this report.

It's been announced that Matt Milano, one of the best Defensive players and All-Pro player for the Buffalo Bills, fractured his leg in the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars yesterday. There's also talk that he might have torn his ACL which no one has confirmed but Sean McDermott has said the words 'It doesn't look good' and I just gotta ask...
WHY DO THE GODS HATE BUFFALO? WERE THE FOUR BACK-TO-BACK SUPERBOWL LOSSES NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU? OR EVEN LAST YEAR, THE SEASON FROM HELL? IS THIS DELAYED KARMA FOR OJ SIMPSON BEING A FORMER BILLS PLAYER? OR EVEN OUR FORMER COACH MARV LEVEY BEING PICKED TO COACH UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA-BERKELEY FOOTBALL BY OPPENHEIMER HIMSELF? OR IS IT BECAUSE MY GREAT-GRANDFATHER WAS A FAILED BOOTLEGGER FROM BUFFALO?
(I honestly don't know how those things would impact Buffalo's karma but it's honestly the only negative things Buffalo has produced that could have turned the scales of the universe against the City of Good Neighbors)
Just to recap everything the Bills had to go through last season:
-The Tops grocery store shooting
-Dawson's Knox' brother died from a fight with cancer
-Losing to Miami and having players collapse from the heat (not the biggest obstacle but it's the Dolphins so losing to them will always sting)
-Losing Micah Hyde in week 2 due to a neck injury
-Losing Von Miller on Thanksgiving (the same game we got Tre White back from his ACL tear last Thanksgiving)
-Having to play three road games in 12 days because of the snowstorm the week before Thanksgiving
-Damar Hamlin collapsing
-Having the number one seed stolen from us because Gods forbid the Chiefs be less than first
-and finally, that shit show of a Divisional Round game where our Quarterback ran in our only touchdown which started the whole offseason 'Stefon Diggs wants to leave' mess!
...and yet I watch football every year and wonder why my doctor thinks I seem stressed.
