I just realised we never needed to settle for Shuggy for the Shanks x Buggy ship.

Episode 2

Makino: What do you know about Devil Fruits? Luffy: They don't taste very good... Well, you seemed to enjoy it as you ate it all though!

All the Buggy staff is so amazing! The Circus, the music, chained people clapping and weeping (special mention for the woman who chears terrified), the crew of outcasts and freaks. I found everything more spectacular of the manga scenario and it fits perfectly;

Rewatching the episode after be caught up about what really happened between Shanks and Buggy (I'm talking about the last flashback in the manga) gave me a bunch of new feelings. The "betrayl" that Buggy talks about, the anger at Luffy that becomes personal when he find out about his relationship with Shanks, the fury against the hat. Seeing him yell at the hat, blaming Shanks for wanting to keep him out of the spotlight... when you know Buggy himself was ready to let go his real dreams for Shanks;

I just realized the whole episode revolved about the hat and three of them. Shanks and Luffy's past, Buggy and Luffy's present and this shadow on the past between Buggy and Shanks that you can't tell yet how relevant it really is;

Jeff Ward, my gosh. How can he manage to be so hot, funny and scary at the same time? His voice, his performance. Gosh, don't get me started.

I'm just annoyed by the double mistake about Buggy's power: his feet can't fly, but mostly Luffy and co lock his hands and feet in the trunk, but at the end they're still there, to give us the lovely mini Buggy that we all know. No way! Unacceptable.

I don't ship them, but I do have a lot of angsty feelings about them.

But, I digress, go listen to literally any Bad Omens song for your Buggy and Shanks angst. Whether you ship them or you just think their falling out is worth having major feels about like me.

One Of Us, Limits, Burning Out, Exit Wounds, Just Pretend...why are they all Buggy and Shanks??

While traveling the Grand line the Roger crew catches the eye of a young Blue Pup determined to join them he takes off his seal skip and draws the map to his home on it. Never telling anyone what he is. Many years later as the Rogers celebrate finding a devil fruit in the east blue. Now thanks to a Red head, Buggy has lost not only his ability to swim but also half of himself.
