02. What is one of your character’s biggest insecurities? Are they able to hide it easily or can others easily exploit this weakness?

Kay’s biggest insecurity would probably be the fact he does not think he is ever doing enough. That he’s falling behind, and he will NEVER be good enough. Everything that he does will accumulate to nothing, maybe because he will fail, maybe because someone got to it first.

He is able to hide this (mostly, anyway), however if you managed to weaponise his insecurity against him, it would wear him down mentally to a point he wouldn’t be able to perform like he usually does.

05. Are they sexually confident or more of the shy type?

Year 4 Kay was an absolute chad in the romantic sense. Pickup lines, compliments, everything. Obviously it was just romantic suave-ness.

Year 6 Kay? A disaster. The only person he would ever think to end up with is the one person he holds near and dear to his heart, and he does NOT want to risk their friendship to entertain the idea. He sometimes tries to get back his confidence from year 4, but he’s so out of touch with romanticism it’s hard for him to do so.

07. Is there a catchphrase or sound that they tend to make a lot (likely without being aware of it)?

Kay says “Like [person] once said,” a lot when referencing someone, most likely one of his friends. He does it quite commonly, always starting with that little sentence. It became a habit that he now isn’t even aware that he does, and is seemingly automatic.

09. Do they have a favorite season? What about a favorite holiday?

His favourite season would be summer. This is because every summer break, without fail, he would spend a week at Khanna Farms with Rowan and his family. He and Rowan would stay up until late into the night, talking between one another, reading fictional stories (or sometimes making up completely ridiculous ones together which would make them both laugh so hard they cried). They’d run around between the trees and play with Rowan’s siblings and cousins when they came to visit, and he felt so welcome and carefree there, he never wanted to leave after the week was over.

As for holidays, he doesn’t really have a favourite holiday. He spends his holidays at Hogwarts (with the exception of the ones he is forced to go back home for), but he has had one unforgettable Christmas with his friends back in first year. This was also when he met and adopted his cat, Bumpsy, back when he was just a kitten. He actually ended up having a nice time there, even with the thought of his broken family and missing brother nagging at his mind.

nicknames: eva and some friends from middle/high school call me maymay, but my mother is the nickname queen: ro-ro, rozer, monster, possum, little little, little monster, bumpsy wumpsy (idk), rover (this was an accident she meant to say rozer but then it stuck), may, and tons of others i can’t think of. monster is the main one. sometimes my dad calls me number one number two (my big sister is number one number one)

hogwarts house: pottermore says either ravenclaw or slytherin ive taken the test so many times and only ever get either of them. probably more slytherin

favorite musicians: uhhhhh fuck. probably hozier, beyonce, mother mother, rihanna, panic! at the disco, fall out boy, sia, bob dylan, johnny cash, nina simone, hank williams. theres lots more but thats just an example of the chaotic range

song stuck in your head: well now it’s hey good lookin’ bc i was thinking about hank williams. but before it was breakin’ dishes (rihanna) because my mom was playing it. brain is fun

amount of sleep: depends. ranges from 4-12 hours, but usually (hopefully) 7-8. last night i got like 6 but im sick so i’ll probably fall asleep again in 5 minutes

what you’re wearing: sweatpants and one of my mom’s cotton blouses that’s huge on me and looks like a floofy victorian man’s shirt so i love it

dream job: no job. but im hoping to be an english professor which is the only job i can see myself doing without entirely losing my mind in a bad way...but in my dream world i have no job and live in greece and read and write and have money

dream trip: back to greece. fly to athens, spend the day, then go to delphi, olympia, back to athens, go to cape sounion and saronic islands. then go to sparta, then mt. olympos. then down to crete. then i just move to greece.

instrument: piano. also conducting.

languages: fun language journey i’ve had. learned ancient greek alphabet in fourth grade. started with mandarin chinese in fifth grade and took it until eighth grade. high school required ancient greek or latin for two years so i took latin (and read the ancient greek textbook). junior year i took chinese again and got pretty close to fluent, but senior year couldn’t fit language in my schedule. first year of college took chinese again. sophomore year took french, junior year second semester continued with french. senior year i’m gonna take ancient greek. so ive come full circle and im in fourth grade again

favorite songs: mmmm im just gonna pick some from a few artists i named bc i have too many. right now sunlight/movement/talk (hozier), daddy lessons/superpower (beyonce), burning pile/the cry forum (mother mother), breakin’ dishes/love on the brain (rihanna), hey good lookin’ (hank williams). also hallelujah (leonard cohen) is one of my favorite songs in the world very cliche i know

random fact: chris evans had his first kiss in the bushes outside of a papa gino’s. sorry. a random fact about me: i was captain of my high school’s sailing team like a true prep.
