And yknow what, as someone who used to be a pretty big fan of Tubbo's, seeing him pressure someone about their sexuality when he himself has been in that situation is really upsetting! Because I remember when he had the pride flag in his bio and everyone took it as a joke or him being an "ally", I remember the accidental slip up of him referring to his boyfriend on stream, I remember him being pressured into talking about his sexuality on stream and essentially going "I don't want to talk about it, I am what I am and it's not your business". It sucks that there's such a lack of empathy on the internet for people who don't want to or can't center their identity on their queerness or don't want to identify with a specific label or just don't want to disclose what they identify as!

it's a little insane how "trust" has become such a big word in this community.

i don't "trust" any content creator, including the ones i put a lot of faith in. im not here for that, im not relying on this creator for anything, i don't know them, im not their friend, i don't want to be their friend. im here for entertainment, but for some reason i have to keep justifying that by explaining that i think dehumanizing people and participating in smear campaigns isn't cool! i don't want to have to defend my favorite content creators, i shouldn't have to, that's not my job! i shouldn't have to be forced to decide if i think some person ive never met in my life is a good ir bad person just so people treat me with some semblance of respect!

honestly the thing that gets me the most is the infantilization of the younger UK ccs.

no one knows how to criticize these content creators because before they turned 18 they were basically considered untouchable so every discourse topic comes down to either "oh they're a terrible person they need to be deplatformed immediately" or "oh they didn't know it's ok :(( guys they're still a baby they didn't know better!"

and it makes it really hard to talk about when one of them actually does something shitty! it is OKAY to be critical of a content creator!

i do genuinely think a majority of q fans are still fans solely because he's not dream and sooo many fans of his have become what they think dream stans are and. just the lack of self awareness is CRAZY.

nearly every single thing dream has been accused of is something quackity has *actively* done and people are *still* backing him and his so-called passion project.

and you can't even really make the argument that they just don't know anything about him because like. everything you could ever want to know has either been addressed by dream himself or been brought up by another content creator. so much hate is just genuine bias.

like it's to the point where ive sat myself down and gone "am i genuinely on the wrong side of things here? am i blindly supporting a terrible person?" and then the only thing i can think of is that he's shit at communicating sometimes and gives people way too many chances. and that's not something i can even be mad at him about because it's something i do as a result of audhd and trauma, which is something dream and i have in common!!!!

the double standards and bias people have is just so fascinating to me. and i get it. i have content creators im HEAVILY biased against. but ive consistently recognized that bias and gone "why do i give a fuck?" every time i started typing up a hate post that wasn't genuine criticism, and every cc i HAVE been heavily critical is one ive was POSITIVELY BIASED TOWARDS at some point. i was a q main two months before the beginning of the qs.mp drama, and up until recently, ai.ms.ey was one of my favorite content creators. i make a point to not speak badly of other content creators because i know the things i have to say would be incredibly hypocritical, and seeing people just. blindly hate dream and not know why is INSANE to me.
