i love how primatt's prosthetic leg is treated in adrian tchaikovsky's alien clay. it isn't a magic limb. it's futuristic but not infallible. it requires maintenance; primatt takes it off at the end of a long day. and overuse gives her sores like with real-life prosthetics.

i like primatt a great deal as a character and a large part of that is how her disability is treated—as a part of her that's always present.

making (permanent) adjustments to my body that make me feel cool and in charge of myself, like tattoos, piercings, hairstyles. makes me like myself!

videos of kitties being very very small. literally. brings tears to my eyes always

feeling sun on my face after a long winter. for a couple of weeks, the energy and joy the return of the sun brings me feel like complete heaven
