Earth 3 Damian anon I would think that Owl Man because he wanted to attempt to bring a version of his brother back that is loyal to him he would think this ones a failure because this clone has independent thinking and wants a life other than what owl man wants for him. But owl man, like Ultraman, is ruthless but obsessed and wants the attachment if the little brother he lost so long ago again if he wasn't weak willed to do what was right in his mind so he keeps this Damian alive but tries to make him subservient to him. I think Jon, when he learns that that Damian isn't dead, he would want to find him and rescue him. I don't know, I'm thinking either our Damian feels somewhat relieved that a version of him was there for Jon, but at the same time it makes him feel guilt because it wasn't him. He wasn't there to rescue Jon, it was another him.

i dont actually know a lot about earth 3 (yet) so im gonna just completely absorb ur headcanon that owl man would try to get clone damian to change sides and follow him blindly while still thinking him a failure, cause that hurts just right, thats the kind of fucked up obsession that makes villains interesting

i think jon would move planets to help someone in need, specially someone he loves, so he would definitely try to save him, i think our damian (hilarious way of calling him btw it feels like were seizing the means of production) would somehow feel relieved that jon wasnt alone, but may i suggest jealousy? dami doesnt share, and he has a complicated relationship with friendship as a concept, he has few friends and hes fiercely protective, so knowing jon would leave again cause he has another (maybe better?) friend to care for? not on his watch

I’m basically taking my usual approach, which is (as far as comics are concerned)... everything will return to its most profitable form. Comics have a set form. With a few key exceptions-- changes in superhero persona, for example-- things generally make their way back to the “classic” form. Therefore I expect Dick to go back to being Nightwing, in a form we would recognize as typically Nightwing.

I agree. I’ve always had a problem anytime the Batman/Robin relationship is framed around what Bruce needs. For the benefit of the child? Sure, I’ll suspend belief for that one. Because an adult needs it? No thanks. That’s why Tim’s origin story bothers me a whooooole lot.

Exams went... probably pretty well? We’ll find out when grades come back. I was outlining for immigration law, federal administrative law, and constitutional law-- and I did get all of them done. Hallelujah.

Oooooh I guess that depends on which Young Justice you’re talking about? Original v. based on TV show? Either way, my recommendation is to look up the associated series. Original YJ (Tim, Bart, Cassie, Conner, etc.) is the 2000 version by Peter David. That team just got a reboot, and I’m reasonably sure that’s what you’re asking about. Then there’s the YJ comic based on the tv show (2011, I believe).

Either way, I like pretty much the entire series. Sounds simple, but that’s my rec.
