rant about the state of online shifting; "get-it-off my chest" moment

part 1. scripting trauma/ being a bad person in a dr how many people are really doing "bad things" or scripting in trauma in their dr? lets be so fucking for real here. why is it that everytime someone "morally corrupt" it gets exposed months apart and the "culprit" is some small ass account with like ten followers? its not common. and im not saying it never happens. but shiftok is always on about these people and im like...who tf are yall talking about? they find one bad apple and then decide the whole community needs to be reminded how fucked up it is to do xyz.

i mean lets be realistic, how many people are going out of their way to script something traumatic or harmful? the majority of the online community (reddit, tumblr, tiktok) always talks about shifting for their s/o, adventure, frienships, family or a better life in some way. how many people are deliberately scripting to harm themselves or others? and is the number really so much that we need thinkpiece after thinkpiece about it?

aand when others behave immorally or get traumatized in their dr they will experience it. they will see the effects of any bad things they do to others. they will feel the trauma first hand and suffer from what theyve scripted in many ways. we dont need to punish these people. their dr will do it for them.

P. S what about when you shift to a dr like the walking dead? or even mha and keep in the war arc? thats traumatic. hell, even an idol / fame dr can be traumatic and those are hella common! yet nobody bats an eye or reprimands it...odd...

part 2. racebending race doesnt exist. i saw a shiftoker (a white one too??) act like someone was crazy for saying it! the whole concept was created by europeans! white mans burden, race based social classes, and eugenics all seems natural to yall? i mean logically its not odd to anyone that modern racial concepts were made by the same group of people in the same time period...? the time period people needed excuses to kill, rape, steal from and enslave other groups... search up "who created race" and then report back to me..anyways..

name one good thing that splitting people up and assigning them identities based on their background does for us? its caused mocking of those that dont fit the mold their race gives them, harmful views of other because of their racial group(s) and low self esteem from outside perceptions of your race. oh and division among groups on top of everything. so what is the point of holding on to race? abandon it! shift to be white, asian, black, indigenous, do what you want! youre not "changing your race" until you shift to become a different species (and theyres obvi nothing wrong w that!).

and some people say "if you script your another race your downplaying the racism poc face" but not every country has the same type of racism the states has. not every country is even as racist as the states. for example if im shifting to be fully south korean born & raised, and live full time in south korea, its not likely ill experience racism. and even so you can just...script out racism? like what...some people literally hate shifters who dont script out racism and expect everyone to script it out, but then turn to say that they cant change their race because of racism...huh? genuinely dont get that.

P. S im only really preaching abandonment of race so flippantly in regard to shifting. in this reality we're kinda stuck with it at this point lol.

P.S.S and it seems shifters from the usa hate racebending the most! as an american, i wonder how much of that is being intimidated that the concept of a racial hierarchy, that our nation has been built upon for centuries, can be shattered so easily...and therefore obviously proves it as obsolete. food for thought. i do feel like colins arc is a little weird. i don't have anything against transhumanism as a concept, past finding a lot of transhumanists as People really annoying, but I find it odd that mannequin comes to colin, goes "you and I are the same, and you should do the same thing I did and become less human", and then Colin does, and the story kind of treats it as a value neutral choice. in isolation, i would totally find replacing your body with robot parts to be value neutral, but we're not operating in isolation, we're working with a scenario where the bad guy told colin to do this thing, he does it, and it doesn't... mean anything. in fact, his identity as defiant is meant to be a better version of him, a humbler one, compared to colin as armsmaster. it's just very odd narratively -- it makes me wonder if wildbow is quietly a die-hard transhumanist and didn't want to introduce dissonance by condemning a transhumanist action even in a context where the narrative positions it as part of a corruption arc, or if he had enough transhumanist followers that he didn't want to tick off by doing that (im leaning towards the latter but i dont know when exactly yud recommended worm to his devotees within the storys publishing history)

in addition and separately to that, its super fucking weird that the PRT says that they can't account for colin because he escaped and there's this sense that he's gonna Do something and/or possibly leave the city without knowing about the s9s condition that no candidates can leave the city, only for him to.... literally never at any given point show up during the s9 arcs after his arc 11 interlude

I could honestly go on for a REALLY long time about why I ship BurningCheese/GoldenSpice. But I'll try to distill/narrow down my thoughts the best I can so my answer isn't longer than the Bible

I adore the enemies to lovers trope and hero/villain pairings in general. I did long before Cookie Run and I will long afterwards

I like how they complement and contrast against each other, aesthetically + personality-wise + backstory-wise

I love how they interact with each other. I love how they talk and snipe at each other. Golden Cheese's frustrated yet unyielding confidence and wit VS Burning Spice's brash, raucous excitement is fun to see. (The back-and-forth they have during their fight in episode 6 is dangerously close to how I've written them in my fics, even before the episode came out. So technically, in a way, my fics have been canonized lol)

It's fun imagining them together in different ways. A one-sided crush/obsession on Burning Spice's part is fun in a dark way (my Yandere Spice). So is a mutual love and respect between them. Main canon for me is a slow burn romance and a slow redemption arc for Spice alongside it. I also have an AU where Golden corrupts and becomes a Beast herself, and they become an evil villain couple. I have another where Spice doesn't get better and Golden doesn't get worse, they just have the standard forbidden love affair that they hide from the world (the latter out of fear of judgement, the former just so no one can try to keep them apart). I've got a million story ideas with them. You can do all sorts of things with them imo. And I think it works because of how they bounce off of each other. Put them in different situations and see how their relationship changes/adjusts/adapts, see if love can exist and how

I like their size difference. Spice is significantly taller and wider than Golden and it's really funny to see lol

The way they and their relationship/dynamic parallel actual Egyptian and Indian mythology (the latter in particular) is absolutely unreal

They follow each other around in my kingdom almost 24/7. Literally every single time I log in they're next to each other or one is trailing behind the other while they walk somewhere. If they want to be together that badly, I'm not going to stop them

They are literally the cycle of life and death, they have the single most important connection of all the Beasts and Ancients, one simply cannot go on without the other for together they make up the foundation of the goddamn cosmos

It actually all started with me and someone irl joking about Burning Spice having a stalker crush when the very first trailer came out. Then I went "haha that could be a funny fic". Then I wrote it and went "wait this is an interesting idea". Then episode 5 came out and I went "wait wtf does he actually want her??? He's acting like he does in my fic!!!" Then I wrote more and got even more attached to the one-sided attraction dynamic. Then I started imagining them in an actual, normal relationship and how that might pan out. Then I started writing stuff for/about that and I got extremely attached to that. Now they have a fully fleshed out relationship and they're married and have two kids, and I have a billion side stories and AUs, and any other ship involving either of them viscerally repulses me. I unironically memed too close to the sun and immediately fell straight down into BurningCheese hell (but it's ok, I like it here and I don't plan on leaving ever)

i have drawn Aku like. twice a while back which is a shame cause he's one of my faves and i like both him and atsushi and many other charas 😭 my Dazai exclusivity is purely accidental. He has me in a chokehold and brother, I've never been much of a fighter.

I've shared my thoughts on the recent chap on twt (more or less) so i'll paraphrase from there but overall i think it was very hype! i usually complain about the plot because the arc feels like suuuuch a drag atp but I've always considered bsd to be a very character-driven show rather than plot-driven (like AoT to give an example) so I've come to embrace the wackiness of the plot although it does tackle some very interesting elements this time like spacetime (more on that later).

Character-wise, it was very curious to see Fyodors reaction to like., the human spirit and just how genuinely disgusted and repulsed he was by Atsushi's selflessness; it really makes you wonder what exactly happened that shaped him into such a spiteful man (perhaps his liver was diseased aha ok no sorry). And then he dropped that line about Dazai not being fit to be his other half??? Which really raises a lot of questions, first of all being if Dazai was even aware of this soulmate fantasy of his? Did he ever ask ?😭 (he'd still refuse but still). Maybe if he stopped trying to kill him then he'd get the message. And not to make everything about skk ( their relationship is an integral part of the show IT'S NOT MY FAULT nor do i mean this in a shippy way‐at all) but....I'll just paste what i said on twt because im too lazy to rephrase it

i wonder why adaines anxiety was treated so wonderfully and sympathetically while kipperlilly’s anger issues that she has obviously had for a WHILE and she was actively seeking help for is more evidence of unforgivable evil

im not the first one to say it, but it truly is just disappointing that trg were not utilised to their fullest extent as narrative foils, and it is unsatisfying to me that in the finale of this season focused on rage and revenge and corrupted anger, that the bad kids are facing their enemies, their potential mirrors, with… rage and anger.

to me its not a question of characterisation or ‘does it make in-universe sense for the characters to do this’ or ‘im sad my faves died :(‘ its a matter of themes and the overall narrative and character arcs being fumbled because i do think they have been fumbled

And I feel maybe, unless im mistaken, maybe the series could’ve benefited on focusing on the themes of bloodlines and humanity.

Elisabeth is apparently Dracula’s niece. Richter is a Belmont. His game counterpart’s theme is about how the Belmonts have a responsibility against not just the vampires but Dracula.

Maria is related to the Belmonts to a degree. She could’ve been wondering why can’t she be destined to fight against evil such as Dracula, while richter’s favored because he’s the current last of the Belmonts.

So she’d double down on fighting evil in her own way. By killing everything that makes the world worse or bad, such as “stupid old men.” That could’ve played into what I assume was meant to be her dark side summoning or something.

Could’ve played into the motivations for humanity and its cults constantly resurrecting Dracula.

Maybe I’ll think up more stuff later. There’s a lot on my mind.

Your first mistake is assuming that Nocturne even cares about Dracula. They don't. Dracula is, AFAWK, alive and well somewhere completely unbothered by this vampire messiah wanting to conquer the world. He came back in S4, decided to chill with Lisa while Alucard cried for the death of his parents, and that was it.

They assured that Richter's arc will involve his legacy, and in S2 he talks about how the death of his mother made him realize that she died for nothing, but so far it rings hollow because Ricther, simply, doesn't really have a legacy beyond being a generic vampire hunter. Trevor didn't even kill Dracula, and we know nothing about Christopher, Soleil and Simon (we know that Juste fell into depression after Maxim and Lydie were killed by a random vampire). So far, nothing happened that would make him doubt the very purpose of his life like in SoTN.

I like Maria's corruption arc, and the idea of her falling deeper into a black-and-white mentality befitting her young age. The problem is that she was already bitter and aggressive in S1 as a fervent revolutionary, so her descent into darkness doesn't have a lot of impact.

Anyway, this story doesn't want to be about Castlevania, and at this point I'm not sure what it wants to be about. Colonialism, maybe.

As someone who remembers the flak the Star Wars prequels got and, in particular, the complaints from certain fans about how those movies ruined Darth Vader retroactively

I find the fandom's initial reaction to Dark!D@any (aka D@ny for folks who aren't swimming in that river called The Nile) to be kind of amusing. In part because I think Lucas wanted to do something similar with Anakin in the prequels - basically, examine how power can sometimes corrupt a young, vulnerable person, putting them on a path of self destruction, especially when that person has been brought up to believe they're destined for something greater.

I wonder, sometimes, if Lucas had decided to tell the story of Anakin instead of Luke and Leia first, would the fans have reacted the same way they did to the prequels. Or, would there be a large contingent of Star Wars fans who defend or sometimes outright deny Anakin's villainous choices, like all the way up to the moment he literally chooses to serve the Sith instead of the Jedi (and in some cases after)? Would people still argue that Vader's legacy as an iconic villain was hampered by the prequels if we'd gotten to know his full story first?

I think I have to remember that there's a difference between how Vader/Anakin's story is told vs how readers see D@ny's story in ASOIAF. for the most part, D@enerys is the POV from which her story is most often told. We're in her head for a lot of it, and if we're not, then we're in the pov of someone like Barristan, who's little more than a sycophant. And I think what I'm getting at is that there's an interest in presenting D@enerys' actions as justified, maybe even noble or heroic. For D@enerys, it's self-interest, of course. People, in general, want to believe they're often acting in the right, so they'll look for ways to rationalize things to make themselves look better, even if the facts say otherwise. For Barry, well, he's an old knight who remains heavily invested in the customs and beliefs that lie at the core of Westerosi society. To admit that he has and continues to serve a dynasty that was responsible for years of violent conquest (among other things) is probably too much cognitive dissonance than the old man can take, or so I would suspect.

With Anakin, though, his story is told from a third person omniscient perspective. So, not only do we know more about the world of Star Wars than Anakin might be privy to, we also know (thanks to the non chronological storytelling) how these events are going to play out, and more importantly, how he will be perceived by the narrative (if that makes sense). We know where he's going to wind up is what im saying. We're getting his story, but not solely from his perspective. Thus, we're less tempted to fall into the trap of taking everything at face value and thinking that his reading of events is 100% accurate.

So, now I'm wondering - if seeing Anakin when he was more vulnerable after knowing him as a villain was received poorly, how will it look if and when D@ny's questionable decisions all come to a head and she goes full tyrant, as in she does terrible things while dropping all pretense of believing or caring whether her actions are seen as morally just? How will her descent be received when her actions aren't being filtered exclusively through the perspectives of her and her staunchest supporters? I'd argue that she's pretty close if not already at that point in her story, but it's a matter of seeing how she moves now that she's gone full tilt.

I know Show!D@ny got a lot of negative criticism, but I think grrm could still make her fall just as interesting (and especially tragic) should twow and ados get published. (Also, I attribute the flaws w that arc more to D&D and their rapidly waning interest in the show.)

just generally id like to hear more about nagitos feelings towards him, and his history in this regard. (if vaguely because i know a lot of the appeal is that its ambiguous.) :3c

hi hca! wonderful questions. some of these have answers, some of these don’t have answers, and some of them are secret! perhaps even secret from me oooh fun . however i do a thing with a couple friends where we watch hannibal together over discord. and i just got out of one of those calls. which means i am in the PERFECT mindset to think abt komaeda characterization bc tbh the hannibal manipulation/corruption arc (especially in s1) is very similar to the dynamic i try to depict between the komahiners here. funnily enough i do want to make a hannibal komahina au eventually but shhh it’s fine it’s whatever. super manipulative komaeda may not be canon but he IS hot so whatever (dom komaeda plays mind games i know it . but that’s unrelated <3)

ANYWAYS. i’m gonna give answers to ur questions under the cut, just to prevent a long post. weeee

Q: Why does Father Komaeda take such an interest in Hinata, specifically?

A: that’s a secret! however, i can tell you thay physical attraction is certainly involved. is there emotional attraction? intellectual attraction? that’s for the Father to know and us to quietly wonder about. there is also an element of power— hinata is very very vulnerable to manipulation. that being said, Father Komaeda’s interest in hinata is not superficial— it is genuine and visceral and obsessive.

Q: Does he do this with other disciples? Has he done this with other disciples?

A: Father Komaeda has never directly tutored someone like this before (hinata is his only true Disciple), but that isn’t to say he hasn’t done manipulative things to people before. the Father is a well-beloved priest in a pretty strongly Catholic town— he has a lot of power and sway in his little sphere. whether he has used this power selfishly in the past is not something i think hinata would worry about, and as such i will not provide a concrete answer as to just how strong Father Komaeda’s influence is. it doesn’t really matter to hinata, anyways, since to him the Father is already almighty.

Q: How does Hinata feel about Father Komaeda giving him preferential treatment?

A: you’re not gonna believe this. he feels Guilty about it. quite literally his baseline. standard emotional response to anything is shame for that man. hinata isn’t blind— he knows that the Father does more for him than he does for the other attendees of their church. however, hinata sees this as him being both so pitiful that his priest felt the need to put more effort into him and so selfish that he would take advantage of Father Komaeda’s kindness the way he does. he’s kinda stupid (said with love nobody ever taught him any better it’s not his fault <3). hinata usually fails to notice the subtler ways in which Father Komaeda treats him differently, though. he thinks the Father gently places his hand on Everybody’s hip when he has to slip by them, and smiles like that at Everyone, and laughs with Everyone Else just as much as he does with hinata. he is… very oblivious.

this last bit is not relevant to any of your questions but it is a drop of priestmaeda lore that i’ve yet to be able to connect to anything plot relevant: komaeda inherited ownership of the church from his parents when they passed. he lives on the property, actually! take all of that as you will :)

the ep felt very disjointed. various elements barely sewn together. something something toxic political internet culture and media driving people mad, also humanity is shit and rtd is somehow in his smug liberalism phase in 2k23, also the doctor needs to settle down and heal, and face his guilt over abandoning and/or being the cause for his companions' deaths. i guess. and here are creepy dolls which get defeated by just.. brute force (in an admittedly funny scene, but still)

so the first big element in this soup of ideas is the "people going mad corrupted by media" plotline. let's look at that shall we

why was the toymaker doing this? not just in-universe, but how is it his thing at all, like, conceptually? there was something said about how he "made everyone win" in the "game of the 21st century"... k'. it's just there because rtd wanted it there without much consideration about how it would fit the character.

what was that weird story beat when kate was like "we can't shoot down the satellite because it belongs to another country and we have to ask permission :((" and the doctor was like "i permit it!" and she emphatically thanked him for that? like... thank god there is this higher power which can rule it necessary for the international organisation (from london tho) to do whatever it needs! to save the world of course

the commentary on ~society~ seemed trite, boring, cringy, patronising, heavy-handed and instantly dated.

so then there was the 1925 subplot. thematically sort of about how the uhh father abandoned his family (i think?), so that's sort of like the doctor abandoned his companions. realistically it's about the creepy dolls

"the doctor abandons his companions" and "the doctor gets his companions into danger so he should be sad about it" and "the doctor never settles down and it's his tragedy" im just tired of this. am i getting old lmao. idk i was nodding off during these dialogues. was there anything new to say here? on all these topics which have been talked about a lot? isn't all this just cheep "feels" and "depth" generator at this point

"am i just too old for this" was my general thought after watching the episode. i mean, i was enjoying the previous ones! i guess i wasn't too old for the star beast lol. i wasn't too old for being excited about the wonderful meep puppet! so this can't be it. but i just watched this scene of a craaazy villain doing his Iconic dance (Best Scene OMG So Camp!!1) and i was simply bored. i didn't even want to ship him with david tennant. am i the grinch?

am i too old for the mystery boxes. for "the one who waits" or whatever, and i think there were some other ohh mysterious things set up for the future. i mean we all know we're gonna be disappinted, right? we all know the it's gonna be crap? and i think moff has successfully put an end to "mysteries of the season" shtick with the hybrid arc. no more mysteries. no more season arcs with cryptic words. stop. staaahhp

im not even gonna talk about "handy 2.0, even more contrived this time". my brain just blanks. it doesn't want to take this information in and dedicate even a second to it. i'd rather think about the international law around unit and how it applies to the satellite situation

overall, i found this episode the weakest among the three specials. i ended the previous two feeling good, while this one left me disappointed. sadly, it's often the last impression which counts. while the previous two episodes had pulled me in, this one left me wondering again about whether the tennant regineration was a good idea in the first place. oh well. but im not losing my hopes for the next season yet!

pokespe reread: emerald chapter - closing thoughts! 🟢

i've finished emerald!! and with it comes the end of the era of the dexholders constantly meeting up with each other and interacting between generations 😔

we'll still get to see these guys again (other than yellow. sorry yellow. i hope they bring u back one day honey) but past this point it's gonna be a lot less overtly interconnected. which is fine! but it is a little sad :')

anyways, here's my thoughts on the chapter as a whole!

(i also wanna preface this with the fact that i realized near the beginning that as a kid i definitely never actually read this arc in its entirety, just the end part once gold and crystal show up 💀 so technically this wasn't a true reread. but yknow. anyways)

the first thing that i noticed is that this arc feels a lot more focused on the battles and gimmicks at first; it kinda takes a while for the story to really kick in, which did make the first bits of it a littleeee boring/bland for me personally. but thats ok

i think part of that is because of how emerald as a character is depicted. i love emerald, but he is a character where for most of the arc, we see him from an outside perspective, via other characters observing him and wondering about him rather than really getting to read his thoughts and learn about him as a person. this can make him feel kind of uninteresting in the beginning, but i dont think its a severe issue or anything.

i do also think that the way his backstory is revealed is a littleee clunky? like having ruby and sapphire just be like "we dont much about you so tell us all about yourself!" feels like kind of an obvious plot device to get emerald backstory and doesnt read very naturally. but i dont rlly care, esp since we then immediately go INTO his backstory which is very enjoyable to read through.

speaking of which, i love his dynamic with crystal so so much. i think it's really cute how the whole reason he became a dexholder was just because he wanted to train with her :)

and speaking of emerald's friends........ latios and latias YIPPEE. i love that they just like him for some reason and go around being his friends its cute as hell. and of course. latias. im not going to lie to you and say that human latias isnt cute as hell IT'S CUTE AS HELL OK. ALL OF ITS OUTFITS ARE ADORABLE AND I LOVE IT JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. sorry...........

moving on, i reallyyyy love ruby and sapphire in this arc. their dialogue and just general characterization is. mwah. i love them trying to be friends with emerald and him just totally shutting them down LOL

i will say that ruby forgetting the climax of R&S is. kind of stupid and feels like a way to just artificially create more relationship drama between these two. i think that was mentioned/implied at the end of R&S but i forgot lol. anyways iirc i dont think this gets resolved until ORAS which is fucking insane. we'll see but considering that my memories of ORAS are not good, i feel like it's very likely that i'll end up just retconning this in my personal hc lol

ok DUDE. the shit with the blue orb was sooooo sick. i was so happy that they explored that a bit more bcuz the whole thing of the orbs corrupting anyone who touches them (and RUBY AND SAPPHIRE HAVING BOTH DONE THAT) was really fucking cool and i def thougt it could be touched on more.

i like how we learn about it more not just for the sake of it, but also it ends up being relevant because of archie. and we get to learn through it that there are permanent side effects no matter what, via sapphire's eyes apparently having a dim glow to them because of her contact w the blue orb? which um. is fucking sick

circling back to archie, him being guile is genuinely a cool twist and i didnt see it coming even though i have literally read this before. also him literally KILLING(?) maxie for another shot at life is genuinelyyyy fucking crazy. and i like how they tied in team galactic, it makes this feel at least a little connected to the upcoming chapter.

ok and now. something that's not at all relevant to the chapter as a whole but i have to talk about bcuz to middle school me this was the only thing that mattered about this arc

gold and silver in this arc make me sooooo fucking ill oh my lawrd. this shit is still just as crazy as it was in middle school WHAT ARE WE DOING RIGHT NOW

ok first of all. gold giving silver the ring (via very much Holding His Hand) and calling him his buddy. looking absolutely MURDEROUS after archie taps on the petrified silver. i love how this arc shows just how much gold cares about silver. crystal too ofc, but its less expected from gold due to how rocky their relationship was in the beginning. like that is his friend and if you touch him you will die. understand?

and then of course this moment oh my godddd bro. like him calling silver his buddy is just like aww theyre friends but then gold had to go and act as gay as possible about it. WHY ARE YOU FULL FACE BLUSHING OVER SILVER OVERHEARING YOU CALL HIM YOUR FRIEND! YOU ARE GAY!!!!!!!!!!

also i already said this in my initial post about this moment but like. its even gayer when you imagine what it looked like without gold's inner thoughts here, like silver tells him he heard and gold just blushes and looks all nervous/embarrassed. and then silver just continues talking. like hello.......

them getting to deal the final blow was fucking awesome. they didnt get to do a lot this arc since they were petrified with the others, but im glad that they were specifically highlighted here. getting to see them finally as officially part of the dexholders is so cool! esp since we dont get to see yellow past this point, i think this is a nice little mini sendoff to their character (for now)

seeing all the dexholders interact in general is just so fun and makes me so so happy. they're a family!!! they look out for each other!!! grahhhh

I hope you don't mind a few questions. Like always, don't have to answer all of any of these; just what you can and/or want to.

1st question: So after Ch20; the first Arc When the World Crumbles, I think you said everyone is going to get separated in different dimensions. With 2012 Raph being with a (very) injured Rise Leo. Poor those guys.

And I just wanted to ask, what dimensions did they end up in again? I forget.

I remember 2012 Leo being in the 1987 dimension, and I think 2012 Donnie is going to be in the 2007 dimension?

I mainly remember these ones (kind of at least), because I was happy that 2007 (I think at least), that 2007 is going to be one of the dimensions involved. And because, I was (admittedly) disappointed at first that 2012 was going to end up in the 1987 dimension, because he and the 2012 crew already met them. However, I was brought around to it by u saying he would end up there alone, and how, 2012 Leo would think the others were dead, which would cause him, to take some quite drastic, murder-y actions, got me very interested in that. Esp. since the 1987 turtles do know him, so they would be (even more) worried about him. Basically, I really like 2012 Leo ending up in the 1987 dimension now for those and some other reasons.

2nd question; related to the other question, kind of. But we know now that 2012 Leo's Ninpo is like connected to like, wind, water, storm type stuff (which is really awesome, and I love that for him); you also mention that his Healing Hands get a kind of "upgrade" in the Bad Future Timeline, and when he ends up in the 1987 dimension, where he can take life (as well as still heal, I am assuming?) now (which is also so cool. I love cool exploration of healing, life, death, etc. powers). And, is that also some form of Ninpo? Or maybe just some other form of mystics (i.e.; it is being treated like mystics or something); that got some kind of "upgrade" (saying "upgrade" in quotes, because like, using this power corrupts Leo's soul, and turns Leo's eyes all cool and weird and stuff. Which, I both love, but also, has me worried for Leo)? I think mainly and/or partially from him being in the Rise dimension, strong and/or high emotions, trauma, and/or etc. like that.

Mainly asking about this, because one, all of this stuff is very cool. And because I am wondering if there are different things from each other. And I was wondering if Leo was still have his storm? (I don't know what would be the best way to describe his Ninpo. I think storm is cool though. And pretty suiting.) Ninpo when Leo gets the Healing Hands "upgrade" thing? (I forget, did you give Leo's Healing Hands a different name besides Healing Hands, once Leo gets the "upgrade"? I think that could make sense and/or be cool. Though, "Healing Hands" already is cool). Because like, I love Leo's Healing Hands getting a "upgrade", and the idea it corrupts Leo's soul by using it, and turns Leo's eyes all black and blue glow-y is really interesting, but Leo's "storm" (that is just what I am calling it for now) Ninpo and/or powers is also really cool.

Okay, I had (maybe) a question about some of ur other AUs, but this is already quite a lot, so I might just ask those questions (maybe) sometime in the future.

I will ask one last thing though. You know how you have songs and and/or songs that you see as kind of character themes or AU themes, and/or etc. And you linked them in posts and stuff. 2012 Donnie is actually gonna be sent into the future of the tmnt 2012 dimension. A MUTANT APOCALYPSE FUTURE (He's literally gonna WATCH 2012 Leo double mutate and be helpless to stop it) and for extra fun angst points, that future will only be one month away from starting :3

2. Leo's new death power (which I am now calling the hands of death because that is a dope name) is quite literally the opposite of the healing hands. Instead of using the user's own energy to heal others it TAKES energy away and feeds it to the user, making them much stronger and more powerful however this has the drawback of corrupting the user's own soul. This corruption is VERY difficult to reverse. Especially because no other power like it has existed before Leo created it. Turning a healing power into something deadly has never been done before. (And considering in the bad timeline that Leo only developed this power after all three of his brothers were killed on the same day and he was so absolutely furious and grieving...yeah not fun) I wouldnt exactly call it ninpo or other mystics since it falls into the same category as the healing hands, spiritual power.

And 3. I probably will make spotify playlists for my aus at some point, dont know when that is but we'll see
