carnelian x moon: ehhhh, not for me. i don't like it that much. maybe because carnelian is kind of an eh character to me (SORRYYY i know a lot of you guys are carnelian girlies).

fathom x indigo: glad they got a happy ending. wish we got to see them interact a liiiiiiiiitle more, but i like them.

pertle: no. they're besties and you can't change my mind.

tlou episode 4 thoughts!

- i loved seeing ellie play around with the gun in the bathroom. that felt like the perfect amount of childish innocence contrasted with the fact that she clearly knows how to use a gun on some level

- THE JOKE BOOK THE JOKE BOOK THE JOKE BOOK!!!!

- i totally didn't think we would see that scene with ellie and joel in the truck, i thought that the end of the last episode was all we'd see! i even showed my friend a clip of that scene from the game because i didn't want her to miss out, oops. super cute though

- joel not being able to sleep because god help him, he has a job to do. my hearttttt 😭 and the fact that as soon as he recognizes that he cares about her, even the smallest bit, he rebuilds that wall and insists that she's just "cargo", not family. typical joel.

- they really upped the tension leading up to the iconic "he ain't even hurt" scene (although i'm sad they cut that line, because it implied so much about joel). i loved how ellie felt genuinely scared and joel kicked into protector mode (and the callback to sarah hurting her leg: "are you hurt anywhere, are you hurt?" was so good)

- okay so of all my predictions on how the stolen gun would turn out, ellie successfully saving joel was the option i called the most boring, but i'm actually 100% happy with how it turned out. we finally get to see some humanity, remorse, and sadness from ellie in relation to death, something i've been CRAVING. this felt like the ellie i know and my heart broke seeing how that encounter happened. the fact that joel actually apologizes and doesn't act like an asshole after? hello?? that was a welcome change. hbo!joel is a lot more self-loathing where game!joel is more closed off to emotion in general, so this makes sense to me. joel teaching ellie how to properly hold the gun was so cute! and then she puts the gun in her pocket anyway yesss that's so ellie, that's my little shit

- "it wasn't my first time." HMMMM is she talking about riley? did she have to kill riley? :( or someone else?

- melanie lynskey killing it as always!!! it makes so much sense to tie her to henry. i'm super interested by her story! it feels like a soft intro to abby's future story; maybe they're introducing the idea of the cycle of revenge now so people won't freak the fuck out when we get to part 2? one can hope...

- jeffrey pierce!!! i didn't recognize his face but as soon as i heard his voice i was like omg

- joel wheezing his way up the stairs was so cuuuuute, "get up you lazy ass" 😭 i love them so much

- HENRY AND SAM!!!! they must've already been in the building right? i loooove the way they introduced them after joel promised that no one would sneak up on them and they already stated that joel is hard of hearing on the right side, which we then see that he rolled over in his sleep (letting his guard down) and he didn't hear them sneaking in. just another one of joel's "failures" in his mind. and sam is deaf (?) or possibly they're just using sign language as a way to stay silent/safe? either way it all ties together so well

- this is a dumb complaint but i really wish they had used ashley johnson's cover of true faith for the credits. but i'm glad lotte kestner is getting recognition after what happened with the original trailer

- neil druckmann in the post-credits saying "i love humanizing villains" sooo real, i love it

A Series of Meets: Reach by @damagectrlwrites

Paris is safe, except from the rivalry of its two superhero guardians: Ladybug and Chat Noir.  Since they were teenagers, the two have raced around Paris, trying to out do-good each other.

After Chat Noir saves a bus of people from falling into the Seine before Ladybug can even get there, Adrien is in high spirits.  He helps a young woman reach some chips high on a shelf, kicking off a friendly conversation that ends with a coffee date.

It’s a terrible day for Marinette.  First she had a hectic day at work, then Chat Noir gets all the praise for saving a bus of people, and then she nearly topples over trying to reach some chips.  At the very least, a nice guy helps her and asks her to coffee. Surely, things will get better, right?

Ladynoir Enemies AU. Never met AU. This one is absolutely amazing and hilarious and YOU NEED TO READ IT!! Ladybug and Chat Noir are superhero rivals, always trying to outdo each other, and being annoyed at the other. Marinette and Adrien get a meet-cute and fall in love. The juxtaposition is perfect and ridiculous and THAT IDENTITY REVEAL OMG.

Marinette could go on about why she hated Adrien Agreste—to his pranking tendencies to ineffable attractiveness—ever since he had the audacity that day with the umbrella.

And yet, here she was fake-dating him while in love with a superhero.

Adrienette Enemies AU. Warning: This is a WIP! But it's so much fun. Basically Adrien and Marinette never sorted out the misunderstanding with the gum and instead just dug themselves deeper and deeper in hate with their miscommunications. Meanwhile ladynoir are totally in love with each other. Add in a whole bunch of sexual tension and seeing just where the author teases out these missed chances and it's beautiful.

When Adrien agreed to this line of work, he thought all his focus would be on the job of catching the elusive Lady Luck. It never crossed his mind that someone else would catch his attention.

Ladynoir Enemies AU. Although this is a ladynoir enemies AU, this dynamic change bleeds into all of the different sides of the love square and it's so different and interesting! I loved how the changes made actually affected other aspects. The story feels very real and believable.

Ladynoir Enemies AU.  The enemies dynamic here is AMAZING!! Adrien is so in character even when he’s a “bad guy”, and the backstory of how he ended up working with Hawkmoth is perfect. (Also, how is Gabriel even worse??) I love the way the identities are played with, and especially the repercussions of Chat working for Hawkmoth on what Adrien is allowed to do.

Ladynoir Enemies AU featuring Marichat. I'm an absolute sucker for villain!Chat who just needs someone who's willing to care for and believe in him. And, even as a villain, he's still so recognizably Adrien here. My hearttttt!

She grimaced. Marriage, for one year, they agreed. And a painful few months of “courtship” to convince the press of the authenticity of their “marriage”.

In eighteen months, her father would be hale and hearty, and she’d divorce Adrien Agreste and be nothing more than his business partner.

This is a 2-part series that isn’t finished and that I desperately hope is continued. It’s not EXACTLY enemies AU per se, but it hits the same sweet spot. Ladynoir are in love, but can’t be together. Adrienette are forced to marry because of circumstances and Marinette resents Adrien for it. It’s got Enemies to Friends to Lovers vibes, even if we haven’t gotten that last part yet, and I love it!

Sort of a Never Met AU in that Adrien doesn't start attending school until after he's been a villain for some time and after he's gotten to know (and fallen for) Marinette as Chat. I love it when Chat's a villain and his love for Marinette/Ladybug helps him make better choices!

In another world, they are partners, fighting side by side to keep Paris safe from Hawkmoth. Ladybug and Chat Noir, heroes of Paris. Read a Poem: THIS WAS SO SO ROMANTIC!!!! SO ROMANTIC AND SO CUTE, MY HEARTTTTT!!! If I had to pick just one as my favourite, this would be it. Him just holding her in his arms and whispering PASSIONATE confessions of love to her in the form of poetry is just... E V E R Y T H I N G.  The two of them holding each other and listening to each other’s heartbeats is just. SO WHOLESOME. and I just 🥺🥺 It made me feel warm, and fuzzy and AT PEACE. Plus, the way Kiro speaks is like... words just aren’t enough to express just HOW MUCH he LOVES her *clutches heart*. And I absolutely a d o r e the fact that the poem can very much apply to Kiro as well (He doesn’t realise it, but it’s probably more applicable to him. He’s just... so sweet?? Tooo sweet 💕) Kiro can just breathe, and he’d still make me want to melt.   

Exclusive Care: Okay, let’s be real. I just L O V E how in every one of his ASMRs, it actually feels like you’re interacting with him and I actually feel like I’m right there, lying on his lap and he’s giving me a massage. Ajdvdfag ALSO. Kiro constantly repeating how beautiful MC is when she smiles, how soft her hair felt, and MC telling him back how much she loved listening to his voice and him expressing his delight on hearing her say that made. me. SOFTTTT. So very soft. Plus Kiro being flirtatious and teasing her towards the end made this one ten times better 😩👌

Exclusive Interview: I’ll be honest. The first time I listened to this was at night when I was lying down on my bed to go to sleep so when I realised Kiro was reciting a ghost story, I almost had a HEART ATTACK!!! Okay, to be fair, it was his personal experience. But I just. never expected him to do something like that??? This boy’s knees start shaking just thinking about a haunted house so him narrating something so spooky wasn’t something I was expecting. That being said, the fluff and cuteness by the end of it did make up for the scare, and if you actually think about it, Kiro is a great storyteller. His words and his tone of voice paint such a vivid picture, it’s like you’re watching a thriller movie.

Warm Palms: This was so  C O M F O R T I N G!!!💕💕 Listening to Kiro’s ASMRs is what I call self-care (minus Exclusive Interview 🙃) and this was a perfect example of it. Kiro taking care of her and making sure she’s as comfortable as possible, treating her so delicately -- making her tea, holding her hand, making her lay down on his lap... AGAIN. ALSO KIRO SINGING MC A LULLABYE IS JUST SO PRECIOUS AND I JUST. 😭😭   

Midnight Crime: I love this one for TOOO many reasons. It felt like... staying over at my boyfriend’s before he goes of on a trip (and I know that that’s what’s happening but it still made me soft). THE DOMESTICITY T^T Them both trying to cook together (and failing miserably), Kiro feeding her, MC teasing him about his cooking, HIM CARRYING HER TO BED?! Please, I’m screaming just thinking about it.

Measure Warmth: This one. OOOH THIS ONE. PHEW! WHERE DO I BEGIN?? It starts out pretty normal. But then MC decides she wants to take Kiro’s measurements??? 👀 (Definitely one of her bolder moves so far) AND THE T E N S I O N. OH GOD, THE TENSION AHDGSYD You could actually feel the temperature rising between the two asghkf. Things were getting steamy, and Kiro’s words and his voice were NOT AT ALL HELPING. Safe to say this one was a 💯🔥

Anyway, I’ll get to phone calls now...

Definition of an Idol: This one was just super cute. Kiro getting all jealous and flustered because he thought MC was loosing interest in him was funny, and can I just say that I love it when MC teases him back? 🤣

Santa Clause: HE CALLED HER SWEETHEART AND I OFFICIALLY PASSED AWAY. THAT’S IT.
