Misha Collins / Cas became the scapegoat in terms of relying on him to absorb the full weight of the queer that the entire team, from the other actors to writers to editors knowingly bathed in and narratively wrote to. :)

#even singer was like We Gave you Cas #but dean was 1000% more obv queer than cas and I’ll die on that hill #they try to explain THAT part of Dean away by blaming it on cas #dean had WAY more moments with other men #dean comes off as textually in love with cas #narratively #romantically #my conservative military dad noticed it in season 8 and he had been trying to rationalize it before then #basically they are a dumpster fire and the accidental wonderful storytelling WHOLLY came from off-color jokes #So the best parts ARE what you take from it and make of it #but anyway Misha Collins might be a dick he might queerbait he's white he's rich he does locker room jokes #BUT he was the only one confident enough to follow through and that's something #he's weak but the others are ABSOLUTELY fragile #and why is everyone so squicked byt the tangential whiff of queer sex #it's hilarious #like putting a tampon near an adolescent boy
