first of all i want to say i absolutely love i'm looking thorugh you and i'm excited for the next chapter. now on an unrelated note i want to ask have you seen sarah z's new video on fanfiction? if you have, what do you think?
Hi anon, thank you so much!!! My exams are starting in 10 days and in 5 days I'll be seeing my sister for the first time in one and a half years, so I'm gonna really try to find space to finish up Chapter 8 very soon (perhaps today [not including editing time, but everything currently written has been gone through once already]) so that I can justifiably step away from it again to focus on my exams and spending time with her, before returning to it. (which probably won't be before September)
I hadn't seen it and haven't watched any of her videos in a while, but I did upon seeing this ask. (I find her long-winded and generally she doesn't say much I haven't thought of myself; watched it on double speed lmao)
I agree with her on most points, I think. Fanfic is clearly art, I think that's honestly a stupid thing to even debate about. Also, it's first and foremost a medium with intrinsic qualities that can be either used to the story's advantage or disadvantage.
While there's value in original fiction having to rise up to the challenge of building characters and setting from scratch, a narrative meant to be understood with foreknowledge of "canon" can actually inherently tell a different type of story. Like, it's kind of one of the points I'm trying to make with I'm Looking Through You; demonstrating how the story both parallels and diverges from what actually happened, which would be difficult to do in a satisfying and engaging way if I had to establish the first "timeline" within the story as well, if that makes sense.
That being said, I think Beatles RPF (the kind that doesn't take place in AUs) is sort of interesting in that respect: if you're writing fic for a book series or a movie franchise or what have you, in most cases you can expect the reader to have come across the entire canon (say with the exception of monster franchises like Discworld or the Star Wars EU). But in the case of a story based on a real history, which draws from many books and accounts as well as pictures and film, it's kind of difficult for me as an author to suss out what I can reasonably expect my readers to be aware of. Usually, when I tie in some recollection of a real event (example off the top of my head: I mention Paul getting Dot Rhone pregnant in chapter 3) I try to formulate it in a way that if someone wasn't previously privy to that particular fact it would still be understandable to the extent it's relevant to the story. The only thing I in general assume to be known is their discography. So in a way, the concept of fanfic not requiring any skills in establishing anything isn't quite accurate. I'm also kind of a big show don't tell truther, so I kind of think if you follow that principle perfectly (not saying I do btw, it's pretty difficult) with your characters, you're more or less doing the same thing whether the characters are known to the audience already or not.
I think the main thing about fanfic and the perceived poor quality of it is due to, as mentioned in the video, there being zero barriers of entry but also to the fact that constructive criticism is just not really welcome on fanfic sharing platforms. For better or for worse, in 90% of the cases, people are only gonna comment on a fic to praise it. I think that's fine in the sense that most people aren't aspiring professional writers, but it doesn't make for the best environment to improve and grow as a writer more than simply practicing the art would help anyways. If you're lucky, someone will specify the reasons they enjoy the story, but just like we can't expect everyone to write perfectly, we can even less expect all readers to spend half an hour writing a carefully worded review. I kind of wish there was a setting on ao3 where you could mark a fic as "open to criticism", so people who are just writing for themselves can just keep doing their thing unbothered, but people interested in honing their craft could get more nuanced feedback than "OHHHH MY GOOOOOD I LOVE THIS".
The kind of funny thing for me is that all original fiction I've written or attempted to write up until now was very much based around my own personal experiences, so writing from the perspective of men in the 60s who had insanely different lives from mine actually really forced me out of my comfort zone in a way? And the work I put into the historical research is considerable, so I just think that really doesn't match up with what fanfic-haters imagine the genre to be?
Of course, a bunch of stories do match up with antis' expectations of it, but alas that's not fanfiction as a medium's fault and there's nothing inherently wrong with stories written with their main purpose being escapism. I mostly think people should be aware that that's what they're consuming and if that's the only thing they consume, they might be missing out on more challenging ideas.

pilot
kageyama x f!reader
may contain spoilers!
EDIT: HIIII SO UH THERES A “pilot ~revised~” ON MY PAGE SO I RECCOMENTD READING THAT ONE CUZ IT HAS MORE CONTENT 👍🏽
Here’s the link:
description: In which Y/n is a new addition to Karasuno’s Girl’s Volleyball Club
THIS IS REALLY JUST LIKE...A TEST RUN..FOR THIS STORY CUZ I DONT THINK IM THAT GREAT AT WRITING and i feel like people wont really like it. so....yeah.
a/n: ok so, I’ve been thinking of this concept so much lately. It started off as just as a nice story to play in my head, but I really wanted to see if I could write it down. So, I felt like I haven’t really seen a lot of imagines or content on the girl’s volleyball club and I felt like it would be cool to explore that side. First things first, I am raised in California. Thus, I am quite incompetent in knowledge about Japan schooling. All my knowledge is really from me googling stuff and ofc, watching haikyuu. With that said, if I made a mistake on the take of Japan schooling, I do not mean to cause any offense. This is solely for entertainment purposes. With that said, I do not own the characters of haikyuu. However, there are some characters I made up with my own imagination. In addition, this is an “x reader” sort of story but I will be defining some of her characteristics so I am sorry if it hinders you from imagining its you. Finally, I am not that good at writing stories lol but im trying. I hope you enjoy.
I hate introductions. Y/n thought to herself as she sat back down in her seat after standing in front of the class, stating her name and her previous school. Her gaze shifted towards the window. The sun was out and shining and she had the perfect view of the gymnasium. Oh how she just wanted to get up from her uncomfy chair and leave the boring lecture and head towards the gym.
It was the first day of school for Y/n at Karasuno High. It’s not like she started in the middle of the semester, no, she was just about a month late into the school year. With her work ethic, she didn’t feel any pressure in order to catch up with everyone else. She knew she would get it done.
It’s not really her fault she came a bit late into the school year either. Her dad’s job required a small move, not that she was complaining. She didn’t really feel tied down at her old high school because: she wasn’t there for that long and she didn’t really make any friends, despite joining a sport.
It’s not that she didn’t want to make friends. It seems that her track record, or the lack thereof, from junior high with meeting new people has left an imprint on her.
Y/n looks down at the worksheet that was passed out in the beginning of class. The assignment was already completed due to Y/n’s eagerness to finish any homework that would take away time from her main passion.
Some people would say she was obsessed. Some would say dedicated. She simply sees volleyball as an opportunity. The class bell rings, signaling for lunch. Before she realizes it, she is walking towards the gym, in which she would meet the girl’s volleyball captain. As she is switching shoes, she can hear screaming from inside.
“-What did I tell you about touching my onigiri! You are going to pay for that!” “I really didn’t mean it this time, I promise! I didn’t know it was yours!” The voices were muffled, yet she was still able to hear the sincerity in both of the voices. Y/n was about to open the gymnasium’s door when the door swung open by a tall pink-haired girl. She was being chased by another tall girl with long blonde hair, but she was a bit shorter than the pink one. Before Y/n could process stepping aside because it seemed the pink-haired girl had no inclination in stopping, she was tumbled to the ground by the girl who she can only guess took an onigiri without permission. As well, the blonde clumsily tripped and fell on top of the two.
“You idiots! Will you stop it! We already told you, we got a guest coming today and we want to make a good first impression!” A stern voice called out inside the gym.
“Um, Moa-san, I think our wishes are already soiled.” Another voice chimed in from the gym.
“Wha- You dumbasses! Hey, are you okay?” A girl with dirty blonde hair came out from the entrance and offered a hand towards Y/n as the two perpetrators started to get up with apologies towards Y/n.
“Yeah, I am good.” Despite just being tackled to the ground, Y/n remains as neutral as ever.
“Aren’t you going to ask if we are okay?” The energetic, pink haired spoke.
“As if I care when you collide into our guest! You really need to be more cautious, Etsuko!” She barked. “I am Aihara Moa. Pleasure to meet you. You’re the first year that turned that application past the deadline, right?” she states more calmly than her previous statement.
“Pleasure is all mine. And, yes. Sorry for the inconvenience.” Y/n states with quite the unfazed face.
Does this kid crack a smile once in a while? Moa asked in her mind. She seems quite different than the other first years we have. Her thoughts continue.
“I am Oba Yuma and this is Morita Etsuko.” Yuma, who had the pretty, long blonde hair, spoke with a warm smile.
“Why did you introduce me?! I wanted to have a cool introduction!” Etsuko huffed with a small pout.
“Well, it’s not like you can recover your so-called ‘cool introduction’ from that full-body collision.” Yuma smoothly replied. Etsuko’s eyes widened and cheeks heated up as she couldn’t come up with a sly comeback to her logic.
“You guys are just lucky that Rinko isn’t here to scold you.” Moa warned the 2 first years. With the mention of the scary third year that wasn’t even the captain, yet she reigned supreme in the disciplinary department, they shivered at the thought of the punishment.
As Y/n stepped further into the big, bright court, she spotted that she could only assume was the captain as she looked so appalled at what happened.
“Hello, you must be Michimiya Yui.” Y/n knew she had to say something to pull the worried captain from her thoughts.
“Hi! Yes, that’s me! I am so sorry for those two. I would say they aren’t always like that, but I don’t want to lie to a potential teammate.” Yui spoke with an uneasy smile.
Yuma and Etsuko’s interests peaked when they heard “a potential teammate” come out of their captains' mouths. They were the only first years on the team, so the thought of another person in the same boat as them made them excited and wanted to join the conversation. The two first years gave each other a look and started to walk towards Yui and hopefully their new friend. However, before they could even be in ear-shot, the pair got pulled away by Sasaki Chizuru, another third year.
“Oh, no. Don’t think you will be bombarding her with questions right off the bat.” She bluntly states.
“Oh, c’mon Sasaki, aren’t you curious about her? Like how did she get into volleyball? Or even, is she a beginner? Or maybe she is an absolute monster who dominates the court!” Etsuko proclaimed as her mind went too fast for her mouth to follow.
“As of right now, it’s not our business. All we can do, and are allowed to do”, emphasizing the word ‘allowed’, “is to watch from the sidelines and quietly eat our lunches.” Chizuru instructed the first years and pointed at the far corner of the gym.
Despite her own words, Chizuru couldn’t help but glance at Y/n and wonder the same things that the first year questioned. At face value, Y/n was quite the enigma. The 2 first years gave a pout, but headed towards their desired location.
“So, you came from Niiyama Girls' High? That’s a really good school for volleyball. What made you come to Karasuno?” Yui asked.
“It was the most ideal school in terms of my dad’s work location.” Y/n states plainly. She didn’t technically lie. Well, it was an ideal school in terms to the proximity to her new apartment, but that was not the only reason. She saw videos of their interhigh-prelims last year and to be quite frank, Y/n was not entirely impressed with the state of their team. However, she knew that this meant there was room to grow for them. She knew very well that she could have gone to Shiratorizawa and joined their girls’ volleyball club. Objectively, with her skill set, Shiratorizawa made sense. Nonetheless, Y/n didn’t know what compelled her to pick this one. She convinced herself it was because she is a sucker for rooting the underdog.
Does this kid show any emotion? Yui thought in her mind. It’s like nothing affects her. Her thoughts continued.
“How long have you been playing volleyball?” Yui curiously asked.
“Since the 2nd grade.” Y/n quickly states. As much as she wasn’t showing it, she was just itching to show what she can do. The court was right there in front of her, after all.
“That’s impressive, alright, well if you’re comfortable with it, I’d love to see some serves and sets from you. After school, we can hold a three on three since we all aren’t really in the right clothes to play.”
“Sounds good.” To say Y/n was excited would be an understatement. As she removed her cream sweater, she could feel a set of eyes burning a hole on her back. She turned around to put her sweater down and realized that she was wrong. It wasn’t one pair of eyes, it was all of them, curious to see how good she really is. She could feel her heart pounding at the thought of holding everyone’s attention. She knew if she let her mind continue, the nerves would get to her and hinder her performance. She took deep breaths and started to quietly humm a song that was previously playing on her phone from her morning ride to school.
Yui passed a volleyball to her and ran to the other side of the net, and yelled, “Let’s see what ya got!”
Y/n carried herself behind the serve line, taking one deep breath to keep her hands from shaking. With that exhale, she opened her eyes and focused her sights on Yui. The captain wouldn’t admit it, but she could already feel herself sweating under the first year’s gaze.
She looks so intimidating. I’m not even on the court, yet I’m scared. Yuma viewed Y/n’s determined look. For Y/n, it was as if everything crumbled away and the only thing remained was the court. She starts her run up.
A jump serve?! Yuma, Etsuko, and Chizuru incredulously thought simultaneously with eyes basically bugging out of their head. They watch in amazement as she jumps with severe height and reeled her arm back. After that, all that could be sensed was a loud snap and then the ball smacked the ground next to the wide-eyed captain. The impact from the ball gave a small breeze through Yui’s short hair. The deafening silence that followed her serve filled the room in an instant. Those watching from the sidelines had to pick up their jaws from the floor.
“She’s a first year?! Are you sure?!” Etsuko broke the silence with her curiosity getting the best of her.
“Boke Etsuko! That was already clarified, don’t make her repeat herself!” Yuma scolded. While Yui read your capabilities on your application form, it was nothing like actually being on the receiving end in real time.
“That’s quite a serve she got in her arsenal.” A voice startled the three high school students, sitting on the sidelines. Etsuko and Yuma were the most startled, but Chizuru was quite used to her fellow classmates popping in every now and then.
“Seriously, Sudou. We have to put a bell on you or something because I don’t think my heart can take any of your surprise entrances.” Sudou Rinko only slyly chuckles at Etsuko remark. She looks over at Y/n and Yui on the court.
“Did you guys see the precision on that serve?” Rinko posed to the other three sitting on the ground, munching on their lunch.
“Well, not really, but it landed, like, near Michimiya, right?” Etsuko tries to come up with the answer that Rinko was looking for.
“It landed right next to her left foot. I think that pipsqueak is able to aim her serve.”
“What?! That’s insane.”
“Yeah, insane, but not impossible.”
“With her, maybe we can win more games!”
“Don’t get your hopes up, Etsuko, a team is only good if everyone is giving their all.” Yuma reminds. “After all, there’s not only one person on the court, there’s six.”
“I heard she came from Niiyama Girls' High” Sudou stated as she reverted her gaze back to her fellow teammates. They stared at her after she gave more information on the stranger in their gym.
“Why would she come to Karasuno then?” Yuma asked honestly. She knew that her team had strengths, but she also knew that other teams had strengths that overpowered them.
“How could you diss your own school like that?” Etsuko was almost angry at how her teammate was treating their school. She always was the one to take pride in everything she does.
“No, that’s a valid question. It makes sense that a player with her caliber would be well-suited in a powerhouse school.” Rinko supported Yuma in her question. All four look ahead and see that Y/n is beginning to set for Yui.
“Her precision and accuracy are so on point, it almost makes me sick.” Yuma commented on how your form for setting only held the necessities. Y/n stepped with purpose, and it showed as she passed a nice set for Yui, allowing her to have optimal choices in where she can place her spike.
so um, that’s really all i got haha I started this like yesterday instead of doing hw so yeah. Feedback and constructive criticism is greatly appreciated. So, did u like it? Did u hate it? Are u confused by it? lol yeah okie bye

there’s a storm coming tonight
Quick disclaimer: I haven’t written fanficiton in a while (like seven years and so) but there are so many wonderful fanfic writers in this fandom that it really inspired me and I wanted to get back into it. So here I go.
***
Amy could not put into words how glad she was that it was the weekend.
That was surprising because she hadn’t been at work at all that Friday. She hadn’t spent the day chasing down criminals, filing reports or tapping away relentlessly on a computer. Instead she had spent her day off looking after her kids. They were four and two now and she could scarcely believe it.
Prior to having children she had never really understood that old saying of “No matter how big they get they’ll always be your baby”. But now that she was a mother herself, she really knew what it meant. She could clearly see that her kids were not as small as they had once been and they had learned more about the world around them, yet when she looked at them she couldn’t help but proudly think “That’s my baby”. Even though her oldest, Elena, became very indignant when someone referred to her as a baby. “I’m not a baby!” she would retort, stomping her foot on the ground, “I’m a big girl!”
Right now, Amy had that big girl and little brother, Atlas, in the bathtub and was currently scrubbing her head. The two had been their usual energetic selves all day and while Amy had greatly enjoyed playing endless games of chase and jigsaw puzzles with them and had even agreed to get the finger paints out (something she was usually reluctant to do due the inevitable mess it made) she was well and truly worn out. From Monday to Thursday she had worked a particularly grueling case and that in combination with looking after her two little (but very lively) angels all day had really taken it out of her.
Normally, she would have brought them to the park in the late afternoon and allowed them to run around until they eventually tired themselves out, brought them home, made them dinner and then it would have been a case of pajamas and then bed. Unfortunately, the weather had not been on her side that day. After a lunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (with the crusts cut off), Amy had been just about to coax the kids into putting on their coats and shoes and hopefully pry them away from the TV and seemingly endless reruns of Dora The Explorer.
Before she got the chance to do that though the heavens had opened and it had been pouring down ever since. It was that kind of thunderous rain that seem to hammer down incessantly on the ground and was accompanied by the type of wind that could turn umbrella’s inside out. A disastrous coupling to say the least. So with the park firmly out of the question she instead opted for getting her kids to tire themselves out by playing in the bathtub. She had added chamomile oil to the water as well as rubber duckies and an assortment of other bath toys to keep them entertained. She was also washing their hair with a fancy (and not to mention expensive) lavender-scented shampoo which she was hoping would help make them sleepy.
“OK, tilt your head back, sweetie” she said as she filled a jug of warm water. Her daughter angled her head back and Amy emptied the contents of the container over her scalp. She repeated the motion until she was convinced that she had gotten all the suds out of her hair. Her little brother meanwhile, whose head she had already thoroughly washed and rinsed, was entertaining himself by splashing as much water as humanly possible and playing with the soap bubbles. Amy herself was completely drenched as was the case by the end of many a bath time. But she almost didn’t mind that much when she could watch her little boy squeal in delight when he decided to cause a mini tidal wave in the water or his look of deep curiosity when he tried to grip the foamy bubbles in his tiny hands.
“Ok” Amy remarked putting down the jug and looking at two freshly washed kids “Time to get out”.
“No” Elena whined, shaking her head, knees drawn up to her chest. Amy sighed. This was always the hardest part of bath time. Despite how much convincing it took to get them into the bath, it took almost twice as much convincing to get them out of it. “Yes, Elena” Amy said, leaning over and lifting her son out and setting him down on the towel she had previously laid down. She started drying him off. “Time to get out. Mommy’s tired and needs her sleep” she looked at Elena, pleadingly “and Mommy can’t go to sleep until your asleep.” Elena thought for a moment, sighed and then got out. “Thank you, honey” she smiled, wrapping her in a white fluffy towel and earning a giggle from her before returning her attention to Atlas.
Once she had both her kids dried off she realized she fallen behind on laundry so she restored to getting new pajamas out of the dryer. That was arguably better as the dryer had just finished it’s cycle so they were still warm and toasty. As she zipped Atlas up in his little white onesie she couldn’t help but feel a quick pang of sadness. This was the same little onesie Elena had worn back when she was two. Now she was way too big for it and in a few months maybe Atlas would be too. They were growing up too fast. Amy quickly pushed that thought away. She was being silly. Babies grew up, it was what happened.
Suddenly she was drawn out of her thoughts when she felt a tug at the on the leg of her sweatpants. “Mama, can we have lavender toys tonight?” Elena asked, her expression hopeful. Lavender toys were what they referred to their heatable plushies as. They were soft toys that you could warm up in the microwave and smelt like lavender. The first one they had ever received was at Elena’s baby shower, a pink little owl given to them by Charles. Once she was old enough to use it she often requested it on cold winter nights. Atlas liked her little owl so much he soon wanted one of his own which resulted in her and Jake investing in a little brown teddy bear edition for him.
“Sure we can, honey” Amy replied, hauling her now pajama-fied son onto her hip. “But first” she said, holding out her hand to her daughter, “We gotta dry your hair”. Elena took her hand as Amy lead both her kids into her and Jake’s room. Sitting behind her dressing table, she placed her son in lap, grabbed a comb and started to get to work on de-tangling the soft brown curls that both her kids had inherited from their father. This was always Atlas’s least favourite part of the post-bath process and as per usual he fussed and wriggled all the way through, constantly trying to slide off her lap in an attempt to escape.
Eventually, Amy caved in and gave him a pacifier to calm him down and couldn’t help chide herself as she did it. Now that he was officially two they had been weaning him off the pacifier, giving it to him less and less. If they did, it was to only be in the evenings to help soothe him before bedtime and even then it was only to be used as a last resort. But right now Amy was too tired to try and reason with a fussy two year old so she let him have it. Either way it was keeping him quiet while she blow dried his hair which was Amy’s favourite part of the post-bath process, mainly for how adorably pouffy her son’s hair was afterwards. She playfully and gently ran her hand through it, watching it stand on end, before planting a kiss on the top of his head.  She then turned her attention to Elena.
Elena was the opposite of her brother when it came to this. She was good at staying still throughout the process. Both the brushing and drying didn’t bother her. If anything she always seemed to enjoy always the process.
Once Amy had the lavender toys out of the microwave and had handed them over to her eager kids, it was time for bedtime stories.
Back when Amy had only one child, she use to sit on the edge of Elena’s bed and read to her. When her second arrived it became the custom for Jake to read to one of them and for her to read to the other. Each night, they switched places. However on nights like this, where she was solo parenting while Jake was on a stakeout with Charles, it was the custom for both kids to climb into her bed with her and she’d read a mutual favourite story to the two of them.
Right now thought, judging by the way Atlas was pulling at the shoulder of her sleep shirt, she knew their was something else that required her attention first. “Elena, honey, can you be a big girl and pick out the bedtime story for tonight? One that both you and Atlas would like?” Amy asked, balancing Atlas on her hip as she pulled back the covers of the bed with her free hand. Elena immediately perked up and gave Amy the thumbs up, “OK, Mama” and then scurried off to the little private library space Amy had in her apartment which now had a kids section. Amy couldn’t help her smile as she watched her go. There was something undeniable adorable about a little kid in footie pajamas, especially when they were pink with kitties on them like Elena’s were.
She climbed onto the bed and pulled the covers up around her and got ready to nurse. As she sat up in bed and brought her baby to her breast she couldn’t help but feel a tinge of sadness. Atlas was two now, it was getting to the point where he was too old to nurse. He ate normally throughout the day and ate normal food and it was only about once every few days he asked for milk. It seemed like he was getting bigger by the day. He was talking more and becoming more verbal. Pretty soon he would be officially out of babyhood and undeniably a fully-fledged toddler. She knew soon, like within the next month of so, that she would have to wean him off her milk completely.
Elena came creeping in just as she was finishing up, clutching a copy of Where The Wild Things Are, her little face beaming. Amy made some room and patted the place beside her “Come here, baby” she said as Elena hurried over. Amy laid Atlas down beside her as Elena settled down on her other side. She opened the book to the first page. She knew she wasn’t as good as Jake when it came to doing the voices, but her kids didn’t seem to mind. As she watched them take turns to turn the page, she couldn’t help notice the difference between them.
While they both had similar appearances having both inherited Jake brown curls and their parents mutual brown eyes, their personalities were different. While Atlas was pretty much his father’s mini-me, with the same goofy grin and his keen ability to always make his mother laugh, Elena seemed to be a blend of both her parents. She, like her mother, liked being in control and in charge but also hadn’t seemed to inherit her mother’s love of tidiness and order. Atlas on the other hand was more shy and reserved, which more reminded Amy of herself. Elena was more confident and sure of herself which in some ways kind of reminded her Jake.
One of the things she seriously loved about being a mother was the seeing her kids grow into their own little individuals. While there was some things that she could definitely tell they had inherited from her or Jake, she could also see things that were uniquely individual to just her kids. She was reminded, not for the first time that night, how big they were getting. That had been weighting on Amy’s mind recently.
She and Jake had talked about having a third. Nothing was completely decided yet and they were still determining all the finer details, but they were leaning towards maybe trying for one. Part of her felt like she just wasn’t done having kids yet and Jake had admitted part of him felt the same way.
By the time she got to the last page both her kids were dozing off on either side of her. Maybe it was the fact that that warm, toasty sensation seemed to be lingering on their pajamas or that she could definitely still smell that concoction of lavender and chamomile from the bath in the air or her general exhaustion but either way she definitely felt like joining them. She was glad she had gotten them to brush their teeth before their bath so she didn’t have to move them.
“Hey, do you wanna sleep in Mommy and Daddy’s bed tonight?” she whispered to Elena. “Uh-huh” Elena murmured, her eyes already closed, nodding. She turned to Atlas “What about you, honey, you wanna sleep here tonight?” Atlas cuddled in close to her. “Here” he muttered. Amy smiled and decided to take that as a yes.
Seeing as they were all in agreement, she leaned over and switched off the lamp on the bedside table. She pulled the blankets up around them, the quilt was heavier then her usual one due to the colder, wetter weather outside and it added to the current cosy-ness in the room. She gently wrapped one arm around each kid. She immediately felt them snuggle in closer to her, responding to her familiar touch.
Amy had overall not enjoyed the sensation of being pregnant but she had always acknowledged that one of the few perks of it was that was arguably the closest you could physically feel to another human being. It was hard not to when you were growing one inside you. But Amy would argue that the closest you could feel to that feeling again was cuddling your kids under a blanket. When she looked at them now all soft hair and little hands and chubby cheeks, she felt something grow warm in her chest. Delicately, she leaned over and gave each of them a quick kiss on each of their foreheads. “You two are the most precious things in the world to me” she whispered into the darkness.
Then, with that she felt the exhaustion of minding two little kids all day and working a long, tough week envelope her and she began to feel herself drift off into sleep.
***
Amy woke later in the night of her own accord. When she slowly opened her eyes she was greeted by the sight of her husband who had seemingly gotten home and crept into bed without waking any of them. That was impressive.
Atlas had rolled over in his sleep and was now currently facing Jake whose arm was now draped over him, holding him close. Amy now had one arm free and the other wrapped around her daughter. Gently, Amy stretched over and gently ran a hand through Jake’s messy curls and across his jaw. She always knew it but in that moment, she was struck by how much she truly loved him.
She then resumed her previous position and readied herself to fall asleep. Somewhere, between and consciousness and unconsciousness, as the rain hammered down outside, she realized how lucky she was. There had been times where she had feared that this would never happen. Times when she couldn’t face seeing another negative pregnancy test. Yet, here she was with two kids, a loving husband and the possibility of someday having a third one.
But right now, she wasn’t thinking about that. Right now, she was happy to just fall asleep surrounded by her little family, perfectly content with the people she loved, listening to the rain pouring down outside.

This be an exceptionally selective blog. I was me mun’s first ever muse yonks back and I’ve pestered her into writing me again, BUT, she’s horribly pressed for time. Partners will likely be very few, else ones doubling up with Loki’s. Anyone is welcome to approach and enquire, but she and I will be leaning toward those either from me own universe or crossovers with which she’s highly familiar and characters in whom she’s especially interested. Ye have been warned.
Replies are like to be slow, up to a few weeks at most.
Partners must be 18+. Various themes of an adult nature may be found here. Sexual things will be tagged ‘#filthy pirate’ with whatever level/variety of sin I deem them. More details below.
Behave. There shall be no rudeness, no passive aggression, no hate, no censorship or generally being a twit. Do I make meself clear?
The Code - Extended (below the cut)
Hi, guys. I’m Pirate (oddly known as this long before I made Jack a tumblr). Here are my more detailed rules and guidelines for writing with me on this blog, though the absolute basics are at the top as, honestly, it’s never easy to remember everyone’s requirements.
Jack is a sideblog. If you’re being followed by a benevolentgodloki that means I’m following you back. I don’t need us to be mutuals (both following each other) for us to write together, but there is a greater chance of us having a partnership if we’re letting each other know we’re interested.
How I Roll
I note myself as ‘highly selective’. This isn’t to be an elitist bugger, it’s because we all only have a limited amount of time we can put in. I want to write what I enjoy with people I enjoy. I am married with two attention-seeking cats, two jobs, a slow-brewing intended writing career and a video game addiction.
Asks/Memes - I will usually answer these no matter who they are from but I may or may not turn them into a thread I intend to keep. Some memes are very much designed to be something that continues so context can be key. If you would like to know in advance whether I intend to answer and/or keep something, please do pop me a message and I will be kind and honest.
My Threads - While Jack’s blog is still exciting and new, I’m being a bit all over the place with who and what I reply to depending on which way Jack’s.. compass.. is pointing. I do have a rolling turn order that I adhere to (to the point that I can genuinely tell you who is next at any given moment) but it’s all piled in with Loki’s threads, meaning I can take a few weeks to get round everything. Every partner gets one of their threads answered within that ‘round’ and then I go round again. However, when I’m really into something/finding something easy to pop back, I treat myself to spamming certain threads or partners at my whim. I use rpthreadtracker.com to maintain what I have.
I will remind partners of threads that have not been replied to for more than three months. If I do not do this, I have either forgotten/lost it myself, I’m not too fussed about keeping it at that stage, or you were absent for a long period of time.
My Style - I will write in both past or present tense depending on partner preference. My default is past but I like either. Please kick me if I screw up and write the wrong one. I prefer using regular size font but I will make mine small on replies to people who use the smaller so that it looks neat. I will often match partners’ lengths and some formatting details e.g. bolding dialogue, but I struggle with doing novella-length posts for reasons below.
I have a bugbear to admit about role-play. What we call splicing. A good half of my partners write this way so I’m not about to tell everyone to stop but if you’re someone who does this, you will occasionally run into some frustrations when writing with me. ‘Splicing’ is when you retrospectively write dialogue or actions as having previously happened during your partner’s last post. These things are fine when they’re passive i.e. your character muttered them, thought them or you were writing what your character was doing at the time because that’s pretty much essential. The trouble comes usually when my characters talk a lot/ask rhetorical questions and partners choose to answer every single one despite the fact my character carried on talking. I know it’s an ass that I have talkative muses and you really want to respond to every point/get a word in, but putting words and actions into the past effectively godmods my muse into accepting they happened. If you feel your muse would have full-on interjected midway through their ramble, please ask me to edit my post/stop it at that point. Otherwise if you do prefer to splice, my muse will only respond to whatever it is your character did or said last in their post. This is one of the reasons I can’t write novella, because often there is only so much you can write before you’re stepping into the territory of changing what went before and not allowing your partner to do anything about it.
TL;DR don’t ever worry about your post being too short for me. If it’s one sentence long but it’s because something fast-paced is happening, I won’t be miffed.
Shipping! - no not that kind of ship, Jack. I love shipping. Ships all around. Let’s face it, romance can be one of the most exciting reasons we bother writing. I am open to a lot of ships for Jack, practically all of them. Yes, even that one. I will do downright nasty, toxic, horrible stuff, savvy? It’s fiction and Jack is a great indulgence for bad things happening to him as much as good. That said, of course don’t force something on him without prior agreement between us. Well, I mean, your muse can try and accost him and see what he does, just don’t expect him to definitely reciprocate. Jack and I are bi/pansexual. We’re open to everything. I will admit a heavy lean toward m/m but, that said, Jack is extremely fond of the ladies, more so than Loki. I am very into Sparrington especially.
Not Safe For Ye Olde Work
Sliding down from the above topic, I enjoy the occasional smutting. It is not a requirement from my partners. In fact, I’m warming very much to fading to black depending on the context/mood/if things feel a bit repetitive. I do feel a touch more comfortable with partners who don’t need that boundary but as I’ve recently figured ‘if it needs a cut, then it’s smut’ I know when to skip on.
Saucy material will go under cuts/Read More’s and be tagged as mentioned above with ‘filthy pirate’. Additional tags will be based on the citrus scale: ‘lime’ for general grabbing, ‘lemon’ for full on sexual content and ‘grapefruit’ if things get extra kinky. I will tag things such as ‘rape tw’ or ‘noncon tw’ or ‘dubcon tw’ where necessary. Please blacklist any or all of these at your leisure, or search them if you fancy :U I do NOT tag these as ‘ns.fw’ because tumblr just completely hides them from being searchable which is useless for my partners.
OC’s - Due to my time constraints I am extremely picky when it comes to OC’s. This is a good fandom for well-thought-out muses and I know firsthand how hard it is to make headway as an OC in the RP world. However, I also understand that for people like me, I want to dip in on this site to mostly play with the characters and worlds I’m really absorbed in and ship my weaselly black guts out. Some people have more time than others to really give your OCs the time and love they deserve. Unless I’ve played with you a long time and I really like the cut of your and your muse’s jib, it’s very unlikely I’ll bite. Apologies! The same goes for crossover muses from fandoms I’m unfamiliar with, but I will let you know if that’s the case.
Limits
Threads - I don’t have a strict limit on how many to have per person but please bear in mind that the more of these you have with me the longer it will take me to get to a particular one (unless I’m spamming it back and forth). This is more a mun/muse context how many I accept.
Exclusives/mains - I don’t do these although I may consider having a maximum of 3 or 4 of one muse depending on activity levels and to ensure plots don’t get mixed up or attention feel unfairly balanced.
Triggers/squicks - I don’t like body horror e.g. graphic detail of squishy bits having bad things happen to them. I’m writing a pirate so there’s absolutely allowed to be elements of torture/violence, just don’t stab him in the eye or chop bits off him. One torture-related thing sends me into a complete freakout which I’ll discuss with partners if we’re doing a thread of that ilk as needed. Kink-wise I’m not into mpreg, A/B/O or infantilism or toilet things. Just ask me/Jack if you’re after something XD
Who I Am/What I Need From You
Being yourself is the most important thing and I promise I am not a scary person (usually). We’re only human and it’s natural that we’ll get along better with some rather than others. This is more to give you a gist of the sort of person I am and who I gel with best.
So I’m a shy hermit at the best of times. I’m trying to be better at engaging and enthusing with partners over our threads because I realise more than ever this does keep things alive and make for a more enjoyable experience. I’m not always great at it. I work best with people who are patient and don’t worry too much on what I think of them and their writing, with people who are happy to keep threads going for the longhaul rather than keep dropping everything before I’ve had the time to get to the next post, and most especially people who accept that fiction =/= reality. I do need a certain level of quality, which doesn’t always mean perfect grammar, but it must be coherent, fun and creative. I like a relaxed approach, sharing mutual enjoyment in silly fantasy world sandboxes as escapism from (and exploration of) this complicated world we live in.
If you managed to read all of this, have a drink (even if it’s water). You’re a diamond.

Immigration Law Office of Los Angeles
Green Card Through Marriage: When a U.S. citizen  marries a foreign national, the foreign  spouse   may qualify  for a marriage-based green card and become a lawful permanent resident or a conditional permanent resident. Immigration Law Office of Los Angeles Getting a green card by marrying  a US Citizen allows the foreign spouse to become a lawful permanent resident (LPR)  depending upon if the foreign spouse legally entered the United States even if the foreign spouse became out of status subsequently. When the foreign spouse is in the United States, the foreign spouse may apply for a green card by submitting an application through USCIS without having to leave the United States if they entered legally.  This process is called filing for an adjustment of status (I-485). After filing for an adjustment of status, the alien spouse can legally reside and work in the United States once an employment authorization document also known as an EAD is issued, as they will become eligible for an employment authorization  90 days after filing for an adjustment of status. In the U.S. the “immediate relative” classification (including spouse) allows a foreign national to apply for an immigrant visa without having to worry about preference categories or priority backlogs, since an immigrant visa will always be available to him or her. However, the green card marriage process  can be complicated and requires in depth analysis by an experienced attorney to present evidence of a bona fide marriage and to prepare for the green card interview by being advised of possible green card marriage interview questions. 90 days prior to the Three Years anniversary of when the beneficiary spouse became a Lawful Permanent Resident,  the beneficiary spouse may be eligible to apply to become a US citizen if certain conditions are met.
youtube
In  order to apply for a green card marriage, the U.S. Citizen or U.S permanent resident marrying a foreign national must submit a green card through marriage petition (I-130)  to USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) to petition for his/her spouse. The U.S. Citizen petitioning for the spouse is referred to as the petitioner or sponsor, and the immigrant spouse who is marrying a green card holder or U.S. Citizen is referred to as the beneficiary.   H1B Denial:  At the Immigration Law Office of Los Angeles, attorney Michael Piston has extensive experience in Federal litigation, and can help you overcome the erroneous decision made on your H1b application by filing a Federal Lawsuit and get results by forcing the government to adjudicate cases that have been unlawfully delayed or overturn H1B extensions and H1B transfer arbitrary denials. Federal Court Litigation may be an effective way of resolving government’s H1B denials and errors.  In well over 90% of the cases we file, the government reverses itself within 2-4 months of the case being filed.  i 751 Form and i 751 waiver:  If you received your green card by applying to the green card through marriage process (formally known as Adjustment of Status), and your marriage was less than 2 years when your green card was approved, what you received is a conditional green card, known as CR1 visa (Conditional permanent residency). The conditional green card is valid for only 2 years. After this period, if you wish to remain as a permanent resident in the U.S. you need to remove the conditions of your green card. This is done by submitting the form I 751 petition to remove conditions on residence. If you successfully submit this form and it gets approved, then you will move from the conditional permanent resident status to the permanent resident status, and your green card will be valid for 10 years. To remove the Green Card conditions you must: - Submit a Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence (Form I-751). - Prove to USCIS that your marriage is a bona fide marriage. - Submit the application within 90 days prior to your conditional green card expiration date. - File jointly, meaning that both you and your spouse must file together. Although, if this is not possible, you may still be able to remove the conditions of your residency by filing an I-751 waiver. Now, what happens when this is not an option? What if due to different circumstances you are no longer together with your spouse? The answer is that you might still be able to remove the conditions of your residency by filing a waiver. There are basically 4 circumstances by which a waiver is possible:   - Divorce:  If you (the green card applicant) and the U.S. citizen divorce before two years of marriage, you can still file the Form i 751 Petition to Remove conditions on green card to continue to live in the U.S. The process will be a little more complicated though, since you will have to request for a waiver of the joint filing requirement. In the case of a divorce, your task is to compile substantial documentation showing that the marriage was a good-faith marriage, or bona fide, and was not just an “easy” way to get a green card. This could include proof that you have children together, evidence of shared resources, a family home, shared insurance and estate documents, photographs together, gifts offered, correspondence between the applicant and the U.S. citizen, etc. Another task is to prepare evidence of the reason the marriage ended, to prove it was not your fault. For instance, the applicant can provide evidence of having attempted marriage counseling. Nonetheless, it seems important to mention that it’s best if the divorce took place during your conditional residence. Also, the longer the marriage lasts, the better to prove it was a bona fide marriage.  - Death of Spouse:  Under the unfortunate event of the U.S. citizen passing away, the applicant may still apply to remove the conditions on his/her green card. In order to do this, the applicant must file the waiver based on the death of the petitioning spouse. If this is your case, you would have to submit a copy of your spouse’s death certificate. On top of this, other evidence is still required, such as evidence of the marriage being a good faith marriage when started. - An abusive Marriage:  If you were a victim of violence, were battered or subjected to extreme cruelty, you can waive the requirement of the joint filing of the i 751 form. In order to submit this waiver, you will have to submit evidence of the abuse. If you ever reported domestic violence events, if you ever made a record of injuries (medical reports for example), these can be used as evidence. - Extreme hardship if put into removal proceedings:  It applies if you think that by not obtaining permanent residency and being put into removal proceedings (eventually deported) you will face extreme hardship or extenuating circumstances in your home country. K1 Fiance visa:  A fiancé(e) visa, also known as a K-1 visa is used to bring a foreign fiance to the United States so that the couple can marry and apply for a green card for the foreign partner.  The process for bringing a fiance to the United States involves several agencies from the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of State: (1) United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), (2) the National Visa Center (NVC), (3) the U.S. Department of State/U.S. embassy/consulate (DOS), and (4) U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).  The steps you need to follow are:  Step 1: File fiance visa petition with USCIS Step 2: Once the petition is approved USCIS sends it to the NVC for further processing and submission of additional required documentation. Once processing is completed the NVC forwards the approved visa petition to the U.S. Embassy or consulate where your fiance will apply for issuance of the fiance visa.  Step 3: The U.S. Embassy or consulate schedules the visa interview for your foreign fiance. At the interview the DOS consular will determine whether your fiance qualifies for the fiance visa. If approved the consular officer will issue the visa. Step 4: Your fiance enters the U.S. with their visa. The CBP officer at the port of entry might ask your fiance a few questions: such as where they intend to live in the U.S., some questions relating to the U.S. citizen fiance and the intention to marry within 90 days. The CBP officer will also take your fiance’s fingerprints and sealed documents previously received with the visa issued by the DOS. After the CBP officer finalizes their review, a stamp will be placed in the passport allowing your fiance to stay in the U.S. for 90 days. Nanny Green Card:  For an application for labor certification to be approved under PERM for Nanny Positions, an Employer must do 6 things: 1. Offer a non citizen a “permanent” job effective no later than the date the non citizen becomes a permanent resident. 2. Request a prevailing wage determination (PWD) from U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). Typically, it takes about 4 months for the DOL to issue a prevailing wage. 3. Endeavor in good faith to recruit a U.S. worker to fill the job offered to the noncitizen by conducting the following recruitment activities: Place a notice describing the job in detail, including the offered wage, for 10 consecutive business days at the place the noncitizen will work (hereinafter “Job Posting). Advertise two times (2x) at a major newspaper (Sunday edition). Place a job order with the State Workforce Agency (SWA) for a minimum of 30 days. In the State of California, the SWA is Caljobs. 4. Prepare a written statement explaining why any U.S. worker who applied (if any) for the job was rejected only for lawful job related reasons.e) File the application with the ETA Application Center.f) The employer may be required to respond to further requests for documentation of his recruitment efforts to the Certifying Officer. The above will take approximately 3 -4 months from the time we receive the completed questionnaires from you and your prospective employee. Naturalization:  Naturalization is the process laid out by the United States government, which allows foreign citizens or nationals to obtain U.S. citizenship providing they meet the requirements established in the Immigration and Nationality.  You may qualify for naturalization if you have been a permanent U.S. resident for at least 5 years, or you have been married to a U.S. citizen for at least 3 years, (thus qualifying to file as a spouse of a U.S. citizen), or you have qualifying service in the U.S. armed forces. Providing you meet one of those qualifications, the basic requirements for obtaining naturalization are: - Having physically lived in the United States for either 2 1/2 years as a permanent resident or 1 1/2 years if married to a U.S. citizen, - Having not spent more than 12 months (of your 5 years or 3 years) outside the U.S., - Having resided at your current address for at least 3 months, - Being at least 18 years old, - Being of good moral character, - Being able to speak, read and write basic English, - Being able to pass a test showing basic knowledge of U.S. history and government, - Agreeing to support the Constitution of the United States, and - Taking an oath of allegiance to the United States. E-2 visa:  Certain countries have trade treaties with the U.S., which allow for immigration for foreign nationals from these countries to seek a visa. A Treaty Trader can gain an E-2 visa when the individual is involved in substantial trade, such as trade in services or technology between the treaty country and the USA, or involved in the development and direction of substantial capital with regard to trade.  The investment in the U.S. must be substantial. It must be of an amount that is of high enough value to ensure the success of the venture. The venture must be an operating enterprise, not a speculative or non-functioning investment. O-1 visa: The  O-1 visa is designed for an alien who has extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics, or who has a demonstrated record of extraordinary achievement in the motion picture or television industry and their essential support personnel. The alien must demonstrate extraordinary ability by sustained national or international acclaim and must be coming temporarily to the United States to continue work in the area of extraordinary ability. Extraordinary ability means a level of expertise indicating that the person is one of the small percentage who has risen to the very top of the field of endeavor. Regarding the sponsor, any U.S. employer, a U.S. agent, or a foreign employer through a U.S. agent can petition for you. However, the petitioner must at least be in the artist’s field of expertise. This also means, that a U.S. citizen, who is in the artist’s field may petition for them as long as there is a legitimate reason why the petitioner requires the artist to work in the United States. EB-1:  EB-1 is an employment-based, first-preference visa open to those who exhibit extraordinary ability, is an outstanding professor or researcher, or is a multinational executive or manager. Each of these categories is defined as follows: - Extraordinary Ability: Individuals who qualify demonstrate extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics, and are nationally or internationally recognized. High-end Plastic Ceramic tile vs. Hardwood Floor covering
Wood flooring has been about long sufficient that it made use of to hold the distinction as the standard in floor covering product. Nonetheless, deluxe plastic floor tile has come a lengthy means, as well as when you discover the separating aspects between today's deluxe vinyl tile versus wood, it comes to be clear that vinyl can rival wood flooring in many areas. Deluxe timber style vinyl slabs are currently a modern, stunning, effective, and also budget-friendly floor covering service-- even (as well as in some cases, especially) compared to wood. Side by side, you may be surprised to discover that luxury vinyl tile is not just an ideal option, yet a preferable one-- the ideal flooring remedy.
Look & Style
Luxury Vinyl Tile vs. Hardwood Flooring
Allow's begin with what would certainly seem to be the apparent: hardwood floorings are timelessly stunning. Also a vinyl floor covering maker would certainly concur. Nonetheless, wood's appearance and design is limited by several aspects including but not limited to accessibility of timber varieties and convenience and also opportunity of personalization and style. It should be kept in mind that all of these aspects, at their root, are driven by various other elements (which will be gone over quickly). Just placed, the customer spends for every specific facet of look as well as design-- aspects that are innately particular of luxury plastic floor tile. Hardwood flooring is inarguably stunning. It can be found in many shades, designs and also top qualities. Nonetheless, these styles are 2-3 times much more pricey than deluxe vinyl timber slabs which currently consist of the extra appearances and designs that should be bought for hardwood. Deluxe plastic, on the various other hand, sidesteps each of these price factors by its nature. The appearance of plastic is basically a photo picture layer in between the backing as well as the clear wear layer. With continuous and also rapid advancements in digital photography and picture editing/manipulation, deluxe plastic ceramic tile designers require only picture the wanted wood types (or any type of other topic) to develop a nature-realistic item. The uniformity of the luxury plastic manufacturing process additionally converts to a lower price. There is the idea, obviously, that any person can discriminate in between real hardwood as well as timber plastic planks. This is becoming less and also less the situation as the innovations behind photography as well as manufacturing advance. Together with the previously mentioned nature-realistic imaging now possible via modern photographic and also modifying techniques, some high-end vinyl floor tile manufacturers have actually used sophisticated printing strategies that produce wear layer texturization. This indicates that your timber plastic planks not only resemble real hardwood-- they seem like it also. So, unless your clients are examining it up close on their knees and also hands, deluxe vinyl floor tile will not be discernible from real hardwood. There is a visible distinction in between wood and product timber style vinyl planks. However, modern-day technology has actually made those distinctions exceptionally challenging to identify in a luxury vinyl tile floor covering, which provides you a near-perfect wood try to find a portion of the expense.
Wood Flooring
Wood flooring is timelessly attractive.
Comes in several shades, designs and high qualities.
Can be 2-3 times extra expensive than LVT.
High-end Vinyl Tile
Thanks to technology, differences between wood as well as timber layout LVT are extremely hard to identify.
Near-perfect hardwood try to find a fraction of the cost.
Toughness & Stability
Before talking about the sturdiness and also stability of plastic vs. wood, we ought to specify the terms, as they seem similar. Resilience: Hardness of the flooring-- specifically its topmost wear layer. The even more durable a flooring, the even more use it can take. Stability: Governed by the density of the whole and/or make-up of layers and also top quality of products. Secure floor covering product holds its form as well as size against dampness and/or environment modifications. As an all-natural material, hardwood floorings experience in both sturdiness and also stability. A clean wood flooring needs vigilant maintenance. Wood, being a porous material, is susceptible to liquid and also environment damage and is for that reason not appropriate for washrooms or various other areas where spills as well as wetness is usual. On top of that, the only stipulation for toughness of hardwood is in a polyurethane coating. This makes it extremely improper for high-traffic or industrial applications, as the layer requires normal elimination and also reapplication. Wood can be sturdy and also steady, with consistent upkeep. It is nevertheless, as a result of its permeable nature and need for protective finishing, restricted in application to non-moisture-prone, reduced traffic areas. As an artificial material, deluxe vinyl floorings are, by nature, resistant to wetness and also environment. Parterre's high-end plastic, as an example, is made with high top quality vinyl-- manufactured with multi-directional base layers under a flat, warm press method. This offers the flooring a memory for straightness that stands up under practical moisture and temperature modifications. High-end timber plastic slabs likewise, unlike wood, have an exceptionally difficult, sturdy wear layer. Due to its longevity, some service warranties can last approximately 20 years (and also Parterre products usually outlast their warranties). Produced under fantastic warm and pressure, the numerous layers of deluxe plastic floor tile make it stable and also exceptionally long lasting. Luxury vinyl tile is steady as well as very resilient, with little to no maintenance. Its hard wear layer makes it long-lasting and also applicable to nearly any kind of situation. Many guarantees provide usage under industrial problems.

It assists the driver by managing velocity and braking, allowing the driver to concentrate on steering. The toyota 4runner is designed to satisfy off-road driving requirements, but off-roading is naturally unsafe. The original 4runner was a compact suv and little bit more than a toyota pickup truck with a fiberglass shell over the bed, however the model has actually because undergone significant independent development into a cross in between a compact and a mid-size suv. All 4runners have been integrated in japan at toyota's plant in tahara, aichi, or at the hino motors (a toyota subsidiary) plant in hamura. The 4runner can be found in at number five in a 2019 study by iseecars. Com ranking the longest-lasting vehicles in the us. The 4runner had 3. 9percent of vehicles over 200,000 miles (320,000 km), according to the research study. The traveler was among the very first prototype walk through conversions done to toyota trucks in the early 1980s. They were similar to the successive 4runner conversions done by toyota, which started production in 1984, however were designed and built by winnebago industries with the approval of toyota. The traveler was no longer practical when toyota started producing the 4runner in 1984, having in essence served as a marketing test vehicle for that car. Hence, the first generation is nearly mechanically similar to the toyota hilux. All first generation 4runners had two doors and were indistinguishable from the pickups from the dashboard forward. Nearly all changes were to the latter half of the body; in reality, due to the fact that the rear springs were not updated to bear the additional weight from the rear seats and fiberglass top, these early models tended to suffer from a drooping rear suspension. Read what other owners think about the 2020 Toyota 4Runner. Shoppers also think about. Toyota's old-school 4runner hasn't altered a good deal over the years, however its competitors have. Vehicles such as the nissan pathfinder, when a real suv all set to deal with gnarly terrain, have since changed into crossovers with less off-road capability. The 2020 toyota 4runner preserves its status as a tough, off-road all set suv that offers a more civilized alternative to vehicles like the jeep wrangler, especially when discovered in trd off-road or trd pro trims. It's also a fairly comfy day-to-day driver that can seat approximately 7 passengers throughout three rows, and it can tow up to 5,000 pounds. Toyota 4Runner vs. Jeep Grand Cherokee The exact same can be said, to differing degrees, of models like the ford explorer and chevrolet sports jacket. That leaves only two main competitors: the jeep grand cherokee and jeep wrangler unlimited. Offered the shift in buyers' preferences, its shrinking sector, and its old design, one would assume the 4runner's best days were in the past.
