That’s a tough one, because honestly relationships with an unrequited feeling on top of something else are really risky and can often turn out to be a rocky road for both parties involved. It’s kind of difficult how to tell you to get rid of the romantic feelings, as they’ll either just persist or fade. It’s best to just try and meditate on them and examine why you’re feeling them, and come to terms with your feelings and then go from there.

Good result? It turns out to be a phase or just a state of confusion and misunderstanding of your feelings all along.

But unfortunately, it can be very difficult and sometimes harmful to continue a QPR if the platonic feelings aren’t there, or happen to be overpowered by the romantic stuff. I’m also lithromantic, and knowing myself as much as I’ve figured out, it can be a rather surprising and odd experience when someone admits to liking you romantically. From my experience, I just have always been kind of used to playing it off with humour and evasive things - I just find it funny that people like me but I always find a way to wiggle out of it.

I can’t really decide what should be done ultimately, but I think it’s best to sit on this for a while longer and then talk to them about it. Because you /really/ need to let this out, especially if it’s been going on for a long time.
