Whenever George went on vacation to the Dominican Republic, he felt he had missed his youth. He saw the young people having fun, partying into the night. He had gone through school and university at high speed with great success, had made a career as a lawyer, and could now stop working in his early 50s without any problem. He could live a nice life here or anywhere on the planet. Every time he sat in a sidewalk café in Santo Domingo, he took it upon himself to do so. And then packed his bags again after two weeks and flew back to Chicago.

George walked through the street markets. He saw all the fake sports jerseys, the fake sneakers, the fake gold jewelry. What he wouldn't give right now to be sitting on the beach or at a bus stop with other chaps in those clothes, drinking a beer and whistling at girls. Sure, he actually was into lads, but that was another one of his big life lies. And so he had remained single and a virgin all his life. Oh, what the hell, he thought. I can take a necklace like that with me sometime. Might make jerking off in front of the mirror more fun.

He bought one of the swanky chains and picked up another cheap fake gold-colored Rolex. Actually silly, he could have bought everything in real. But to feel like a little Latino gangster, this watch was better. He didn't have to take it home, maybe the maid would be happy if he left everything in the room. George put on the chain and watch and walked around the city a bit more, enjoying the hustle and bustle of the streets. And then at some point made his way to the hotel to freshen up before dinner.

The watch and chain didn't go with his dark blue suit, of course. But he liked to be well dressed for dinner. Even though the hotel was mainly frequented by newly rich Russians and Arabs, he didn't want to make an exception. He had carefully hidden the chain and watch under his shirt; the feeling of the large pendant resting on his chest was enough for him. And after dinner, he stood naked, with only the watch and chain, in front of the bathroom mirror and jerked off.

He had even slept with the watch and chain on. When he got up, everything felt so heavy. He examined the watch more closely. Actually, it looked perfect. And weighed heavy, too. Was it perhaps not a fake at all. He was also unsure about the necklace. Had he perhaps bought stolen goods…? Anyway, he was well rested and rested. And he could see that when he looked in the mirror. He had not looked so refreshed for a long time. And he had gotten color. On his tanned skin, the gold chain looked even better.

George didn't even take off his new jewelry to shower. And the white shirt was unbuttoned so much today that you could see the chain flashing. He also left the cuffs of the shirt open. The white shirt, the beige shorts, the gold jewelry. There was almost something southern about him, he had to think with a grin. The fact that he ordered his banana pancakes in Spanish and wished the Russian Barbie doll a good morning in her native language didn't even occur to him. George slept away most of the day at the pool. Every now and then, when it got too hot for him, he jumped into the cool water and took a few laps. The admiring looks of the one or other lady at the edge of the pool, when he catapulted himself wet out of the pool, he did not notice at all. Instead, he exchanged more frequent and intense glances with the pool boy.

He signed off for dinner at the hotel. He wasn't in the mood for a five-course dinner today. He was more in the mood for some street food, a few beers and whatever else came along. He didn't even remember packing a black satin shirt. But with black suit pants and black loafers, he looked very handsome. George combed his hair back with lots of wet gel. And he threw himself into the nightlife.

It had been daylight by the time George had gotten back to the hotel. If he remembered correctly, he had gotten another beer from the concierge. Other than that, he couldn't remember much. It was much too late for breakfast when he was finally awake. So he pulled right on swim shorts and a bright red shirt, which he left open. He was proud to still have such an impressive six-pack in his early 40s. Everyone was allowed to see that. The pool boy had reserved him the daybed right next to the artificial waterfall. That was perfect for discreet conversations. George had also used the evening to stock up on enough drugs for his customers here at the hotel. The staff, of course, knew what would happen if a busty blonde, a hairy Russian, or an Arabian stud joined George on the bed and the curtains were drawn. There could be sex involved. But in any case, money was exchanged for drugs. And a good portion of the money went into the pockets of the hotel staff. So people smiled. And kept quiet.

George spent the evening on Santo Domingo's Malecón. Getting supplies. And supplying customers in the casinos. George himself never gambled. Nor did he take drugs. He needed a clear mind and a functioning body for his job.

Jorge woke up in his permanent suite at the very top of the Catalonia. The view of the sea was fantastic. His breakfast was set. His personal trainer was already waiting in the hotel's gym. Yesterday had been a successful evening, so before he moved into his poolside "office," he needed fresh stuff. He awaited his supplier on the bench at the back entrance of the hotel. They were usually undisturbed here at this time of day.

It had all been over a year now. The Catalonia was now only occasionally his workplace. Jorge had gotten himself a warehouse in the old town, where he officially sells cheap souvenirs for the street vendors. In fact, he managed his drug mules from here. Personally, he only served the particularly important customers. Or the particularly horny.

É a única parte da música inteira que contém pronome e nesse caso é masculino, então estaria montando uma narrativa de como se o harry estivesse perguntando para alguma mulher se o atual sabe que ele a tocou.

2° está desafiando alguém que manda eles não ficarem mais juntos. e está se perguntado que, independente de tudo, essa pessoa está ciente de que o harry ainda está com o louis.

Nessa música em específico não tem referência nenhuma a falta de comunicação, mas o álbum todo tem, então incluindo mmith no tema central do álbum acho que podemos entender que eles estavam com esse problema na relação e o H se sentia perdido, fraco, deixado de lado sem o Louis e ele passa a música inteira dizendo que precisa mais dele e que eles precisam melhorar.”

E eu não acho que é sobre término larry também; até porque quando os meninos cantaram essa música no Good Morning America, a entrevistadora perguntou sobre o que era e o louis respondeu sobre ficar com a pessoa uma última vez antes de terminar e o harry fez uma piada “isso é um programa que passa pela manhã,certo hahah”. Eu não acho que ele iria fazer uma piada com o ex sobre uma música que fala sobre o término deles. Nós sabemos que o harry não tem problema em demonstrar o drama sobre o relacionamento em público.

O louis ainda fez o track by track falando que é sobre conhecer o amor aos 18 anos e reforçou bastante essa parte.

Quem diz isso a um relacionamento hétero? E a parte de se afastar, não precisa ser literal, pode ser simplesmente interromper, ignorar o assunto. Aí entra a pressão novamente, que deve ser um peso no relacionamento ter que aturar as dificuldades e principalmente por estar de cabeça cheia, resolveu deixar de lado. E aí vem o próximo verso.

Nesses dois versos de habit eu enxergo a conexão com too young e no verso sobre ceder a pressão. E juntamente com essa parte que eu também acho que conecta o trabalho na parte que ouviu tantas pessoas querendo se meter na vida dele; ou ele estava infeliz de como se sentia em relação as músicas e isso influenciou o relacionamento de alguma maneira. E a parte da saudade é porque ele está falando de um hábito, quase como se fosse um vício, então sentia saudades de estar aberto novamente com o relacionamento e não estar tão preocupado com tudo. line em inglês pode tanto significar linha quanto fala. Por exemplo uma atriz fala “I forgot my line”, ela está se referindo a fala que era para ter dito na cena.

Agora voltando para a análise, o louis está cansado de interpretar alguém que não é. Ele sabe qual dos “personagens” ele vai escolher, que é ser ele mesmo juntamente com o amor da vida dele que morou em Princess Park. 

E agora eu vou ser grossa, mas me poupe quem falar que o louis colocou a referência ao complexo só porque foi onde toda a banda morou. 

1° lugar: sim, todos moraram nesse complexo, mas as únicas duas pessoas que moraram juntas foram o harry e o louis

2° lugar: o louis não é idiota. ele sabia que colocando essa parte na música todo mundo iria teorizar, assim como ele tinha certeza ao fazer o cover de 7 do Catfish and Bottlemen.

Esse verso eu também enxergo com too young e com os dois primeiros versos que eu comentei sobre o louis estar sobrecarregado e com isso se afastou, se fechou, não permitindo que o hábito dele (amor dele) o ajudasse a passar sobre esse momento perturbado da vida dele. E a parte de decepcionar na verdade pode ser quebrar as expectativas.

eu não vou analisar a letra em si, vou falar só um geral.

eu não acho que essa música é de término e nem sobre voltar de um término, por exemplo reconciliar. Para mim, essa música é bem estilo Canyon Moon, então ele está falando que está com saudade de estar em casa com o amor dele ao invés de estar com uma beard na Holanda.

E no primeiro verso eu não acho que é um diálogo como as pessoas acham que é, até porque essa música foi escrita em 2017 e o harry foi escrever fine line no Japão em 2018. E pelo o que eu vi uma vez, na rua com só bares gays que o louis foi fotogrado, tinha um bar chamado Duke of Tokyo e talvez por isso que "Fui a Tóquio para esquecer, bebida atrás de bebida".

Mas agora indo para o contexto:

Louis fez esses tweets falando que estava irritado com a indústria.

Depois disso ele soltou uma parte de always you justo na parte falando "I went to Amsterdam without you". Alguns minutos depois, ele resolve aparecer novamente no twitter perguntar se já tínhamos desvendado da letra.

E falou que tinha ido à Amsterdã no mês anterior.

E ele foi em julho de 2017 com a Eleanor e o Oli comemorar o aniversário dela.

Mas, alguns minutos depois ele fez outro tweet falando que tinha escrito a música há 6 meses, o que nos leva para fevereiro/março e isso foi antes da viagem.

Provavelmente ele tinha planejado essa viagem meses antes, já que ele é provavelmente uma pessoa ocupada e estava com 2 singles nos tops das listas, então tinha entrevista para fazer, shows etc. Além de que, eu acho que essa viagem foi planejada antes também para mostrar que elounor estava firme e forme e que eles se amam incondicionalmente. E por isso que 2017 foi um ano cheio de pap pic para os dois, exatamente para deixar falado que o antigo casal voltou. Mas você também pode acreditar que ele só falou isso porque pediram para desviar a ideia das pessoas e para não fazerem teorias.

Outras pessoas também podem falar "ah mas ele foi a Amsterdã sem a Eleanor antes." Ok, ele pode ter ido, mas porque ele precisaria/faria questão em vazar uma música para poder ser colocada no álbum se é para um casal assumido e público? Por que em específico Amsterdã e não qualquer outro lugar que ela não foi com ele depois que terminaram? Ainda por cima fazer outro tweet falando que tinha ido a capital da Holanda no mês anterior?

Ele queria essa música de todos os jeitos no álbum e não queria que ninguém impedisse essa música estar em Walls.

I always ask myself why I'm so good in romantic things and where I got all these ideas from, but look at this guy, with his wife in one and his baby in the other hand and the sunglasses in her face, just smiling with a deadly cool ☠️🆒 smile, like:

But this wasn't the point im want to. I just want to write how romantic I am but I think it's to hard to bring in a post, because it is nothing you can really touch... So jeah... Sentence with an X, doesn't was something. I'm a big fan of german phrases in english language. I mean what else is more romantic than candles and roses. But not only things are romantic... Like, walking with your girl (or boy or whatever you want, I don't care) through the park and tell her a joke and when she starts to laugh, then kiss her short and intense and then just go on with the walk. And tell her something about the tree you see and what makes it so special and then hold her hand and let her do this one dance spin everybody likes or just tell her something false (nothing big, just a information about ducks or something like that) and laughs when she believes it and when she get angry and hit you soft or makes these ,,aaaarrrr, don't you!!!!", Then she likes you. Laying in bed all the day can also be romantic. When you touches each other very soft and tell each other storys about your life or your dreams and hopes and everything that is in your head and you laugh and kiss and make even more of course and then you eat some fruits or something else that is sweet and healthy or just light, so vegetables are okay, but not as romantic as fruits. Strawberrys and pineapples are a good idea. And nobody goes out of your room, only for the toilet or something like that, because beeing so long (a full day) and so near to each other, without thinking about your work or your ,,normal" day routine is very romantic.

I like romantic a lot. Just as I like physic and emojis. Safe more than emojis, but not sure if I like it more or less than physic. You can look at them and tell the girl beside you storys about gods and people who love each other so hard, not even the gods can hold them back. So this picture is in romania. There's a long street we are drive on and we take a break so my friend, who is the driver, can make a short sleep break and I take my book and my notice block, sit down and look at exactly this panorama. Behind me was a little river and I think i don't have to explain you why rivers are romantic too. I wrote a, like 11 or 12 sides long, loveletter for my (now ex-) -girlfriend and in my autistic world I was somewhere else, but not at some rumainian rest stop in the middle of nothing. I played that I was an soldier or agent or maybe just an adventure guy (oh that's funny, because I'm really a adventure guy 😋), who's writing a letter to his, now far away waiting for him, wife and I write how much I miss her and something about the natives and what they look like or doing and that the nature is so big and old and magical and omg it was just romantic ❤️.

So it's 22.22 o'clock (what means someone thinking on you (jeah romantic hits again!!!)) and I'm more tired than I'm want to write (and this means a lot, because I love writing and I have even wrote a book (only 12 sides long) and then I start the next book and the first book's name are ,, mein Buch" what means translated ,,my book" and I always ask the people if they have read my book and they ask which book and I say ,,my book!!" FILMSTARTS: First of all, tell us a little bit what has changed for your character Tina Goldstein in the six months that lie between the storyline of the first and the second film ...

Katherine Waterston: Tina has gotten back her old job and has been working as an Auror for a while now. She has found her way back, and in the first film it looked quite different. At the beginning she was quite haunted by bad luck, but now everything has settled again and so she also has a little more self-confidence. She is in Paris, where we meet her at the beginning of the film. And what else has changed? She is wearing a really cool coat now!

FILMSTARTS: In "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", Tina had a very special relationship with Credence, played by Ezra Miller. Will that be the same in the second movie?

Katherine Waterston : Yes, their special relationship continues. Tina is enthusiastic about her work and does it very thoroughly, but she has, as we already know from the first film, an Achilles Heel: If she sees someone, especially a young person, in need, she just has to help. She throws all the rules overboard. Maybe that's because she had to take care of her sister Queenie early on as a kind of parent replacement. This has made her receptive to the concerns and needs of young people. And in the second film this comes to fruition, which is almost a kind of obsession with credence. She feels responsible for him.

FILMSTARTS: In the first movie we did not learn much about Tina and Queenie's background story. We know that her parents died early and they are very close. Will we now learn more about the history of the Goldsteins and the school days of the sisters in Ilvermorny?

Katherine Waterston: Oh, I know so much about it! I know so much and I can not tell you! Only so much: Yes, at some point you will learn more, but it may not be in this movie. But the relationship between the sisters will be important in this film as well, and there will be some surprising new elements that play a role in this particular relationship. And at some point, you may also see a young Tina, just as there will be a young Newt in "Fantastic Beasts 2".

FILMSTARTS: Hm, so it does not go so well with you and children. How about Tina and animals? Does she get on with the magical beasts a little better than in the first film?

Katherine Waterston: Newt really opened Tina's eyes to the beauty of these beasts in the first movie. So far, as an Auror, she has not had much to do with them, especially in America, where contact with these creatures is strictly regulated. They are considered dangerous. So when Tina discovers how intriguing these animals are in reality, she begins to realize she may need to question the authorities a bit more than before. At the beginning of the first film, she deals with them in a completely different way. She is simply scared, intimidated by their presence. Now that's really different. There's so much to discover about these animals. They are such great beings. It's fun to play someone who likes to surround themselves with the beasts.

FILMSTARTS: In the first part, Tina was obviously the character who adhered the most to the rules. But in the end she had to watch an authority figure who she had trusted turn into a masked Grindelwald. What after effects does it have on her that she found out?

Katherine Waterston: This is very similar to the beasts where she realizes that they are not as dangerous as they would have her believe. And somehow she also felt betrayed by the Aurors, who attacked Credence in the end, although of course they could not have known better. But they did not listen to her. All these things have led to her feeling that the system can have its faults. She is of course still a civil servant and she appreciates the work she does and considers it important. But maybe now she often questions the leaders and makes her own decisions. This is an interesting aspect of her: On the one hand, she loves her work, but on the other hand, she is willing to become apostate when it's worth it.

FILMSTARTS: So did it feel like you were playing another character this time?

Katherine Waterston : No, the difference is not that drastic. That was all in her, even in the first film. We met her in the first movie when she was having a difficult phase in her life. But before that she was already a capable Auror and you can not become an Auror without being a really good witch. You have to be smart and strong and prudent. So these things have always been in her and in the first movie there were also brief moments where one got an idea of all her abilities, but then someone misunderstood her again or something went awry and she promptly became unsure. But even if she sometimes did not believe in herself, she always had those strengths. And that's why it does not feel schizophrenic to me that she's so different in the sequel. The character is just developing and growing and that's something great. I've never had the experience to return to a character, I've never starred in a television series or anything. So it's fascinating to spend so much time with a character, get to know her better and see her grow. It's almost like being a real person [laughs].

FILMSTARTS: You could design your own wands? How cool is that!

Katherine Waterston : Yes, so we could at least choose from a few options. And then we did the finetuning. I chose the simplest and then asked to make it heavier. They then used a metal rod. Before that, it just did not feel real enough.

FILMSTARTS: And what would you change if you had the opportunity again?

Katherine Waterston: Hm, that would be kind of interesting if the design of the wand evolved with its owner. But maybe it's a good thing that it always stays the same and reminds you where you're from and who you really are. And mine is just plain and practical and robust, I like that. Tina is just not a dazzling, flashy, girlish woman and a good, solid wand without frills fits her. 

FILMSTARTS: But not only Tina herself has changed in the second film, her environment is different: she is now traveling in Europe. How does that affect you? Because in the first part she was in New York, yes on home territory. Is it difficult for her to be in another country and to get in contact with other magical communities?

Katherine Waterston : I think because she has now regained her self-confidence, she does not find that too difficult. She is, so to speak, "fully functional" and copes well. Actually, it would be interesting if she would get the just punishment for her bossy behavior towards Newt in New York and step into Paris in some faux pas by perhaps doing something insulting to the French by mistake. But I think you will not see that. And that the action takes place in different places with different cultures, but has a wonderful message. We are more connected than we are.

FILMSTARTS: And maybe in the city of love, will she relax a little? In the first part she was a very stiff person, only in the scene with Gnarlark, when she attended a bar in evening wear, she seemed to thaw a bit. Does she even have a little free time in Paris?

Katherine Waterston : Oh yes, she just chills, she chills all the time in a Parisian cafe ... [laughs] No, the situation is pretty serious in this movie, so she does not have time to put her feet up. But J.K. Rowling writes so many wonderful facets for her characters, so we'll see Tina in very different ways: we see her self-confidently and how she takes command. We see her overwhelmed and bumping around to get everything done. We see her vulnerable and generous. So there is a lot to do for me. But she will not chill ...

AGAIN BUT BETTER booktalk

THIS WAS SOOOOOOO AMAZING!!!!!!!! This book was all I ever wanted/needed and more I love it with all my hearth and it is by far my favourite book! If you haven’t read it yet plese do!!!

First of all I want to say that I am incredebly proud of Christine, I have been watching her videos for years and I watched her write this book in her writing videos and reading it now I feel like a proud mum! I expected it to be good but I never imagined that it would be THAT GOOD, I want to thank her for giving me this story, it means so much to me and I am more than thankfull.

I wanted to read this book the second it came out but I couldn’t because I had so much to do for school at that time and than other thins came around I wanted to read it when I was completly realxed, when I could enjoy to the fullest. And now I know that I didn’t got to read it than becau I was meant to read it NOW. Back when it was released, I hadn’t been to Rome and Paris yet and now that I have I related even more to the book because I also viseted all the places they went to. I think the universe just wanted me to read it now because now I needed it the most. I think that was a smooth introducton, I am now going more into deatal because there is so so much I want to say, I took so many notes while reading because I didn’t wanted to forget anything. I wasn’t sure and I still am if I realy want to post this because this book means so much to me and I don’t want to ruin anything by laying all my thoughts into a text but I just watched the q & a she posted about the book and I mean she would never read this but say she would somehow I want her to know that she has done so much for me with this book!

So lets start from the beginning... I related so much with Shane trough the entire book, it was like reading my own thoughts, I have never ever related to a character more than her. She said this I would say and did things I would do not to start with her thoughts I don’t now it sounds silly but as Christine said in the q & a video I felt like I was the character in the book and it was both scary and nice, well more nice than scary because I could watch Shane grow and come out of her comfort zone and do all this thins showing me that it is possible and it makes me want to do thins too. It was just ahhhhh so so good and sooo beautiful!!! Words and in genral this text don’t do justice to what I feel and what I felt about this story. 

Especially in the beginning when Shane started doing those little thins like asking that stranger to take a picture, I was so proud of her for having the courage to do it because I often don’t and I was so proud of her every time she did those little things not to mention the big ones like finally talking to Pilot about her feelings.

There were so many paralles to my own life in this book that yet again made me think even more that this book is for me and not only the fact that I related so much to Shane and the Rome and Paris things it was just everything! 

One of the things I loved most about it were all the refrences about books, music, movies, Tv shows, youtube... all the references, they made me so happy, everytime I understood a refrence I was totaly freaking out with excitement! Especially the one with her Professor’s name, Blackstairs like I died it was the best thing!

And the jokes god the jokes I was laughing out loud so many times! I can’t say it often enough, it was just perfect everything I wanted in one book!

Obviosly I loved that most of the book took place in London cause I love London and it is a place very close to my heart but the traveling they did, GOD I looooovvvveeeee traveling so much and when they were just like spontanusly deciding to go somewhere it made me not only happy but I want that too I want to just say that I want to go to that or that place and just do it! And the photos they took and the fun they had like I was genunly crying seeing them having so much fun, there is such a beautiful exciting and lovely experence to go travel with your friends and take fotos and have fun! Those times are the ones I love looking back at. When I think about the happyest moments in my life I imediatly think about the times I was traveling, disovering a new citiy taking fotos and evrything.... SOOOO GOOOOODD 

I loved Babe and I loved that they were such good friends and I loved that she was so passionat about Disney and that her dream job was to work at Disney World like how often do you see that!!! That is so incredebly cool!

In generall I really loved the whole group and how they spend time together! Shawednsday was the best thing! And I got so sad thowords the end of their semester when they didn’t had that much time to spend together where they kind of drifted away, the saddest part was when she sepend the spring brake alone that was hearthbreaking ( I am so glad she got the chance to do everything again and make it right)!  Ah and I loved how Atticus and Sahra started reading the books Shane recomended that was so sweet! I would have loved tho to see a little more of Atticus and Sahra, Atticus seamed such an interesting character and I loved how he was the who tried to help Shane after what happened with her parents.

Pilot, lets talk about Pilot, the minute we met him I got all giddy, I like him, I love his name and I love that he writes music! I enjoyed his conversations with Shane so much, their deep talks and I loved him in Paris take two so so much and at the very end in Edinburgh like that was the sweetest thing ever but I have to say tho he was so frustrating sometimes! Like jkfgfkjhgkh it was sooo clear that he had fealings for Shane and I understand that it was complicated with Amy and I get that sometimes you don’t realy now what you want but bjhdsbchsd and than when the time travel happend I understood that he didn’t know what to do and that he wanted to go back and that all was scary but it was so frustrating!!! The way he acted and how he freakt out like plese Pilot you have got a second chance here to make things right plese take it is so special plese don’t ruin it! I was more than happy when he finally understood that. I was so happy for them but I must say while in Paris take two I was a little suspicios I knew something had to go wrong and when the thing with Amy came out I was soooooo disapointed in him I was so mad at him! But he managed to get me because let’s be honest here I couldn’t be mad at him and he is so cute and he did all those cute things! I loved how he treied to help her when they where having dinner with Shanes parents I wanted to hug him so bad for that!

Speaking of Amy I do feel sorry for her but I don’t know she should have let Pilot go when he asked her to before he went to London. And she had no right to read Shane’s notebook but again it is undersandeble that she did and I was mad. For a second tho when I read that scene, before Shane released that she was reading her notenook I was like awww Amy is a reader too she likes reading, well that thought flew away quiclly... 

Ok lets come to the red haied woman, I don’t want to say that I knew that something was up with her but when she apeared at the Starbucks I just knew that she would do something I want to quoute myself here, I took this note when I got to that scene: “ SCREEEEEMMMMMIIIINNNNNG the red haired women has done something! The time travel thing was soooo amazing and so beautifuly done I have never expected it happen but I am soooo gald it did. I loved that caffe, I imagined it looking so cool! And I love time travel, like one of the books that made me a reader was about time travel and having it in this book made it even better than it already was! I loved how she did it with the elevator and everything I got so excited when all of that happend because when I got to the part when she was interviewing for the residency I was so sad and I stared crying because I was like well this is real life you don’t get the things you want and you don’t get to be who you want to be thats the reality and I got so mad because I realised that people, including me are so dump sometimes not taking chances and say and do the things they want!!! I was so sad that she lost those years living with regrets but than the time travel happend and she got a second chance and I couldn’t have been more happy!!!! 

I loved how confident she got after the time travel, how she did everything different, that she decidet to talk to Babe about Pilot that she didn’t let herself give up un her dream about writing because of her parents and that she did such a good job at the internship I was soooo proud of her and I still am. I got scred when Pilot first wanted to go back and than when she wanted it too but I am so glad they stayed  and worked thing out, that she found the stranght to make things right again and finnaly live the life she wanted and the life desereved. I cried when her article got published and I cried in the end reading the epiloge seeing her succed as a writer and even seeing him succeeed as a musician it was the best thing! Oh but I also love that they got to keep the memories from take one!

Oh heavens when the realisation hit me that the title “Again but better” was refering to doing London again and the things with Pilot and not college in general as I thought in the beginning like wow that moment was just wow!!!!

I brought up her parents a few times now I think is time to say a word about them too so I understand that they want her to have a good future but the way they acted was so wrong I didn’t liked them at all! I loved how in take two she proved them wrong!!!!! When they had dinner in take one I was crying for Shane that was so intense I felt so incredebly sorry for her but looking back the fact that she succeded in take two made it even better! 

I already mentioned that I loved Shane and Pilot in take two well I already loved them but I mean as they got together, their little jokes and the move thing and lamppost thing that was hilarious!!! And god I loved when they filmed the youtube video together, how they sang together that was soooo cute I loved it so so much!! And his speech at the end in Edinbrough like o my god and the one in the epiloge I just couldn’t I was crying all the way!!!

I was so sad when I finished, I loved every second of it!!!! It is such a special book for me and I will treasure it forever!!! Somehow it feels good to write all of this because I am sure in a few years I am going to read it and be very glad I wrote it while the memory was fresh. Speaking of fresh, it’s been two days since I finished it and I am not ready to let it go yet, I still can’t remove the book from my nightstand nor can I start another book, it still has to sink in, I am not ready for anything new, I love it to much to let it go so soon!!!

SO MANY!!!- the artstyle is so good and rlly cute!! the warm colors and designs really give this game such a unique vibe right from the get go! especially the mixed media stuff!- the meneer habit puppet is adorbs i love this lil muppet man, the PSA’s were super funny i love how he talks! i love characters who talk like that, unique voices and all that(side note: meneer means mister in dutch, i call dr habit meneer habit cuz thats how i kept reffering to him while playing)- characters!!! ugh i love all of them theyre just so out there!! i love, trencil, dallas, and the girls in the lounge cuz…..duh so much!! mirphy has to be my fave i think? i love that her last name is fotoparat! close to foto apparaat which is dutch for photo device!!! her last name is just camera!!! thats such a cute lil hint!!- i was a liiiil doubtfull before buying the game if i could finish it, without knowing if the hints at creepy stuff in the beginning was going to become a big thing or just be a gimmick. im really glad it didnt turn into a full on horror until the bit at the end which was SO SCARY!!! #Especial1998: Uma linha do tempo de capas e clipes icônicos dos anos 90

Fim da Guerra Fria, globalização, popularização dos computadores, TV a cabo e internet - além de ainda viver a sua Golden Age - foi nesse contexto dos anos 90 que o rap viveu sua golden age e escreveu com caneta dourada seu nome na história musical. As gravadoras tinham dinheiro, a MTV tinha nascido há pouco tempo, as pessoas piravam nas possibilidades da TV a cabo e compravam CDs. As capas e videoclipes ganharam status de obras de arte, não serviam mais apenas para fortalecer a linguagem do single ou do álbum. Agora, elas ditavam moda, exaltavam posicionamentos políticos e eram responsáveis por tornar conhecido, o que até então, era underground. Os registros visuais faziam parte do negócio agora, e isso contribuiu para o rap alcançar o mainstream de uma maneira poderosa. As capas viraram cartão de visita, e gravadoras e artistas se empenharam na contratação de diretores de arte, especificamente, para pensá-las mais artisticamente. Algumas ficaram tão famosas que foram além dos 12x12 cm do encarte e viraram ícones pop pelas décadas que viriam.

Dr. Dre puxou esse bonde com o seu disco "The Chronic” (1992) – a capa recria o rótulo de uma seda popular nos anos 90 chamada Zig Zag. Foi um estouro. Um adendo: the chronic também era uma gíria para maconha em LA.

Depois dele vieram Notorius B.I.G. com sua "Ready to Die" (1994), que viraria até estampa de camiseta da Supreme, décadas depois, por alguns dols, e NAS com a inovadora “Illmatic" (1994). Na capa, um jovem NAS sobrepõe um retrato do seu famigerado bairro, Queensbridge. Além da foto, NAS trouxe outra inovação estética mais sútil: Seu nome, foi escrito num estilo tipográfico que conhecemos como Olde English, um estilo que pretendia simular as fontes da nobreza. Será que ali NAS já reivindicava sua realeza?

Também houve espaço para os ilustradores, como Joe Cool, primo de Snoop Dogg. Diz a lenda que Snoopy precisava de uma capa para o seu “DoggyStyle” (1993) e chamou seu primo – aquela velha história do primo que faz mais barato. Joe cobrou 25 dólares pelo desenho. Pegou elementos do Funkadelic - muito usados pela galera do G-Funk na época - misturou com algumas de suas ilustrações, escreveu uns trechos de “Atomic Dog", do George Clinton, e voilà. “I didn’t think it would be iconic, man" (Eu não sabia que se tornaria um ícone, man), disse Joe uma vez. Mas foi, Joe.

O Outkast também se aventurou nas capas mais artísticas. Começou na pegada de ilustração no seu “ATLiens” e logo em seguida no que seria um dos seus mais marcantes álbuns, o “Aquemini” (1998). Pra essa capa eles deixaram de lado o estilo quadrinho futurista e apostaram num estilo mais Blaxploitation. A ilustração é toda inspirada nos antigos posters de neon da década de 80, cheio de psicodelias e simbolismos. A roda de signo ao fundo, por exemplo, é uma referência direta ao nome do álbum que nada mais é que uma junção dos signos dos integrantes, aquário (aquarius) e gêmeos (gemini). Um tanto quanto genial.

No mesmo ano de “Aquemini”, 1998, o grupo A Tribe Called Quest lançou o que seria seu quinto, e até então, último álbum. Ainda sem anunciar o fim da banda, o ATCQ lançou o "The Love Movement”, completamente branco, minimalista e enigmático, título em preto e símbolos - que remetiam a posições do kamasutra -  em prateado. Uma capa que contrariava completamente os últimos álbuns ilustrados com obras extremamente coloridas e artísticas. O ATCQ anunciava o seu fim – porém, eles se reuniram novamente para lançar “We Got It from Here... Thank You 4 Your Service”, em 2016, poucos meses após a morte de Phife Dawg, um de seus integrantes –  nas entrelinhas.

Em 1999, “Things Fall Apart” (1999) veio mais pé no peito no quesito manifestação político-social. Com cinco capas diferentes, o disco levava o título ao pé da letra e refletia, em fotos espetaculares, o lado mais sombrio da sociedade. Uma igreja queimada, uma perseguição a estudantes negras em Bedford-Stuyvesant; a mão de conhecido chefe da máfia morto; uma criança chorando de fome na Somália; e um bebê em desespero após os ataques do Japão na Segunda Guerra Mundial. Todas capas extremamente impactantes e que conversavam completamente com o conteúdo do álbum. Quase um trabalho jornalístico.

A FORÇA DOS VIDEOCLIPES Mas não só de grandes capas viveu o rap 90. A década foi definitivamente a era dos videoclipes e suas tomadas em fisheye - estilo de lente de câmera - e planos fechados. Um exemplo é “Sky’s the Limit” (1997), do Notorious B.I.G. Planos fechados, fisheye e as versões jovens de B.I.G., Puff Daddy, Busta Rhymes e Lil Kim. “The Rain” (1997), da Missy Elliott, “Put your Hands Where My Eyes Can See”, do Busta Rhymes, são outros clássicos desse estilo. Hype Williams - que dirigiu os clipes de Busta e Missy Elliott - virou o mestre dessas técnicas, transformando-as em sua marca pessoal. Mas, pra mim, o grande legado do Hype pra história foi “Gettin’ Jiggy With It” (1997), do Will Smith. Quem não lembra da dancinha do refrão? Puro charme e sensualidade, daqueles que só Will Smith consegue nos proporcionar. 

Também teve a galera que resolveu inovar e acertou em cheio na linguagem retrô-tech - que aliás, voltou à moda. “Scenario”, do A Tribe Called Quest, é praticamente um de “Volta para o Futuro” do design, com sua linguagem old school style de computador. Nessa época emergiram os grandes diretores de clipes. Além do Hype, veio o Spike Jonze. Spike puxou a barca dos diretores, gravou - e atuou em - diversos clipes foda, como “Praise You”, do Fatboy Slim. Mas foi com “Sabotage” (1994), do Beastie Boys, que ele criou sua masterpiece, aquele que, pra alguns, é considerado o maior videoclipe da história - tá, talvez dispute com “Thriller”, do Michael Jackson.

A cara, meio Hermes e Renato, deixa transparecer a genialidade de Spike. São 3 minutos de cortes rápidos, tomadas de câmera de mão em movimento e mudanças de plano que acompanhavam o beat. Ele sabia usar os planos como ninguém e abusava dos planos de fuga e das diagonais em cena pra dar mais dinâmica e aumentar a sensação de que o espectador estava dentro do clipe. “Sabotage” é uma obra-prima até hoje e apresentava pro mundo aquele que se tornaria um dos mais conhecidos, e premiados, diretores da atualidade.

Pra finalizar nossa viagem no tempo, o fenômeno Lauryn Hill. Ms. Hill se apresentou ao mundo, em carreira solo, com seu single, pesadíssimo, “Doo-Wop (That Thing)”, em 1998. O single ficou quatro semanas seguidas no topo da Billboard e fez a rapa no Video Music Awards do ano seguinte (1999), faturando os prêmios de melhor videoclipe de R&B, melhor direção de arte e ainda o de melhor clipe do ano. 

O clipe já apresentava, de forma quase literal, aquelas que seriam as características pela qual Ms.Hill ficaria conhecida. Filmado com uma tela divida, o clipe apresenta dois cenários distintos, mas completamente interligados, no lado esquerdo, o R&B e soul dos anos 60, e no direito, o hip hop dos anos 90. Mas não eram só as suas raízes e influências que Lauryn apresentava ali. No decorrer do vídeo, o que se vê é uma Lauryn melódica e dançante, atuando como um backing vocal suave no lado esquerdo, enquanto no direito temos a Lauryn maloqueira, com a ousadia do hip hop e flow potentíssimo. Essa síntese, a mescla dessas duas Lauryns - e a naturalidade como ela tocava isso - se tornaria, nos próximos anos, a sua marca pessoal.

BONUS TRACK A bonus track da vez é talvez a história mais bizarra do maior documento fotográfico da histeria que foi o rap dos anos 90. A capa de “We Can't be Stopped, do Geto Boys”. Cara, a história dessa capa é a coisa mais bizarramente engraçada e questionável da vida. Tudo começa com Bill, bêbado e sob a influência de diversas drogas numa discussão com sua namorada e pedindo – sim, pedindo– pra que ela desse um tiro em seu olho (depois ele esclareceu que isso era um golpe pro seguro, mas, enfim). Eurovision 1993 my top 25

Hello, and welcome to another episode of this series of ESC tops, and I go back to May 15, 1993, when the 38th edition of the Eurovision was held in Millstreet, Ireland, after Linda Martin’s win in Malmö last year. This was the biggest contest at the time, with 25 countries participating, Yugoslavia withdrew because they were sanctioned by the UN because of the war, while Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovenia and Croatia all debuted, and qualified from a prequalifying round, beating Estonia, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia. The contest was won again by Ireland with Niamh Kavanagh and the song In your Eyes, making this their 5th victory and they won two times in a row. And now let’s review the songs.

1st Place: IRELAND/Niamh Kavanagh-In your eyes (Real Placing: 1st-187 points)

This entry... OH THIS ENTRY. Niamh has one of the best voices I’ve ever heard and here she sounds astonishing, the music is pretty and the lyrics are very good. This entry is wonderful and of course, this is such a deserving winner and what a song! I LOVE YOU NIAMH. 

2nd Place: NORWAY/Silje Vige-Alle mine tankar (Real Placing: 5th-120 points)

Another entry that’s so good that I can feel what she’s singing. The music is quite unusual for Norway but for me it works so well and the chorus is amazing with all the clapping, it’s so cool. Silje, what a wonderful voice do you have. 

3rd Place: SWITZERLAND/Annie Cotton-Moi, tout simplement (Real Placing: 3rd-148 points)

This is such a masterpiece, the music is beautiful and she has such a nice voice. She’s such a charming singer and the lyrics are so meaningful to me, also her performance is so beautiful and she’s so cute. A nice entry from Switzerland. C’MON SWITZERLAND, YOU’LL DO AMAZING AGAIN. 

4th Place: SWEDEN/Arvingarna-Eloise (Real Placing: 7th-89 points) 

Oh this is wonderful, one of my favorites from the 90′s, they are amazing together and the music is so pretty, also the orchestra is amazing in this one and HEJA SVERIGE. 

5th Place: FINLAND/Katri Helena-Tule luo (Real Placing: 17th-20 points)

This entry is so elegant and classy, sung by a singer with a wonderful voice, I like this entry more than her song in 1979, this one has nice music and the chorus is so memorable. A very nice entry and one of my faves from this year. 

6th Place: SPAIN/Eva Santamaría-Hombres (Real Placing: 11th-58 points)

This is such a crazy and interesting song, the lyrics are very funny but at the same time nice. The music on this one is upbeat and I like the arrangement of the orchestra on this one. Her voice is very strong too and I like her. 

7th Place: UNITED KINGDOM/Sonia-Better the devil you know (2nd-164 points)

Another entry with a rock vibe, and this one is very catchy and effective. Her voice is so nice and the music is very happy, also the lyrics are good and I love this song. 

8th Place: PORTUGAL/Anabela-A cidade (até ser dia) (Real Placing: 10th-60 points)

Awww again such a cute song and a cute singer, the music is so nice on this one and her voice is superb, a nice song from Portugal, and IMO this deserved more. 

9th Place: GERMANY/Münchener Freiheit-Viel zu weit (Real Placing: 18th-18 points)

This song is so touching for me and the music is wonderful, it’s one of my favorite German entries and IMO one of the most underrated ever. Oh my heart is with this song. 

10th Place: THE NETHERLANDS/Ruth Jacott-Vrede (Real Placing: 6th-62 points) 

I feel so bad because of putting this so low, this is so 90′s and the music is well done in this one, also her voice is so good and the performance is perfect, the lyrics are very touching and this is one of my fave Dutch entries. 

11th Place: GREECE/Kathy Garbi-Ellada, hora tou fotos (Real Placing: 9th-64 points)  

What a nice entry this one, the music is so ethnic and wonderful, and she’s such a nice singer. I’ve always liked this song and I can be still when I’m listening to this. 

12th Place: ICELAND/Inga-Þá veistu svarið (Real Placing: 13th-42 points)

Awww this entry is so cozy and cute, the music and the saxophone complement so well, her voice is so lovely and I don’t know, such a wonderful entry. 

13th Place: BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA/Fazla-Sva bol svijeta (Real Placing: 16th-27 points)

This entry is amazing! You can really feel the pain of Bosnia in this song, the singers are powerful and the music is so epic. Also this makes me cry so much and what a debut entry from B&H. 

14th Place: ITALY/Enrico Ruggeri-Sole d’Europa (Real Placing: 12th-45 placing) 

What a warm entry, I love his voice and the music is epic, sounds like something from a musical. The environment on this one is perfect and it’s such a wonderful song. 

15th Place: FRANCE/Patrick Fiori-Mama Corsica (Real Placing: 4th-121 points)

I like this song and it was so hard for me to rank it in my top, he’s such a charming and good singer, also the music is very good and the fact that this is partly Corsican is wonderful. 

16th Place: SLOVENIA/1X Band-Tih dezeven dan (Real Placing: =22nd-9 points)

Oh this entry is one of my favorites from this year. The music is very pleasant to hear and I like their voices. This is so memorable and enjoyable, and certainly an amazing debut for Slovenia. 

17th Place: DENMARK/Tommy Seebach Band-Under stjernerne på himlen (Real Placing: =22nd-9 points)

Another lovely song and Tommy’s such a nice singer. The music is very nice and the chorus is so wonderful. and the whistling is a very cute detail for this song. Didn’t deserve the placing it got. 

18th Place: BELGIUM/Barbara Dex-Iemands als jij (Real Placing: 25th-3 points/last) 

This is such a nice little ballad, her voice is so cute and the music is lovely, this didn’t deserve last place, the dress was horrible, but I’ve seen worst outfits before and after this dress. A nice overall song. 

19th Place: AUSTRIA/Tony Wegas-Maria Magdalena (Real Placing: 14th-32 points) 

Another upbeat song and with the same singer as in 1992, but this song is slightly worst than his entry last year. The music is great and his voice is nice, but I think something is missing on this one for me to like it more. 

20th Place: CROATIA/Put-Don’t ever cry (Real Placing: 15th-31 points)

This song is kinda sweet but IMO is quite boring, the music is nice, they sing well but this isn’t my cup of tea. 

21st Place: MALTA/William Mangion-This time (Real Placing: 8th-69 points)

I don’t like the music on this one, because it’s kinda mediocre and the performance wasn’t great. I also think this is boring at some point on the verses, but his voice is great. 

22nd Place: LUXEMBOURG/Modern Times-Donne-moi une chance (Real Placing: 20th-11 points)

Ok this is so nostalgic and sad, the music is nice and their voices are good, but this isn’t very remarkable. Sadly the best part of this is the chorus. Also this was Luxembourg’s last song in the contest, and hasn’t returned since. 

23rd Place: CYPRUS/Zimboulakis & Van Beke-Mi stamatas (Real Placing: 19th-17 points) 

Another song that is quite lame for me, their voices are very good but the problem here is the music, because isn’t very remarkable. 

24th Place: ISRAEL/Lakahat Shiru-Shiru (Real Placing: 24rd-4 points)

Not my cup of tea, this is kinda boring and the music is lame, but I can’t deny the singers are good. Not so memorable and not one of Israel’s best songs. 

25th Place: TURKEY/Burak Aydos-Esmer yarim (Real Placing: 21st-10 points)

Oh this song is so annoying for me, his voice is irritating and the music is also very bad, I can’t stand this entry and the backing singers weren’t good. Not one of Turkey’s best songs and IMO one of the worst songs.
