What Saiki ships do you support?

i'm not really into saiki ships that much tbh! there are certain dynamics (saiki nendo and kaido, psykickers, saiki and aiura, saiki and teruhashi) i find most interesting and fun to play around with in my drawings and comics and stuff, but i wouldn't say i'd call them "ships" because i dont really see em as romantic. honestly i dont really get my enjoyment of the series from shipping, its more about the friendship for me. im a saiki loves his friends truther at my core...thats the thing that matters to me the most

I have this little idea in my head where the 41st and the 57th precincts will meet and play football (soccer for Americans) against one another every year which kinda helps relieve and instigate the rivalry between the two. It's kinda a big deal and families are invited as well as anyone who's interested in showing up. There's food stands from local vendors that get picked and cycled through each year which helps to spotlight the mom&pop eateries in Revachol and can really transform a business's profits going forward. There's a fundraiser every year too which goes towards helping the city in some way (new rec center, maintenance for a major apartment building, etc). RCM officers can volunteer to be on the football team but if they don't want to play they still help out with the setup and stuff and just hang in the audience instead. There's also a sign up for both the junior and adult academy. It's a great way to connect with citizens/community and all that. When it comes to playing the game itself, some people take it more personally than others, though it very rarely doesn't have an air of fun.

Harry is big on the event, his previous life as a P.E. Teacher coming into play. Any new players always underestimate him initially, surprised when he's actually a pretty good player. He and Jean are a deadly combo, pre-Martinaise communication seemingly telepathic. Post-Martinaise they had to practice for a little together but after a bit they ended up being almost better than they were before now that Harry wasn't abusing substances anymore. It even helps facilitate the beginning repair to their relationship, the need to work together without the necessary pressure of the job opening up different avenues. Kim didn't enjoy playing back when he was with the 57th, but now that he's with the 41st he's happily joined the team. While he's not a physical barrier in the same way that Mack, Harry, or Jean are, he's nimble and able to catch passes that others miss. He and Judit are good at being underestimated by some of the 57th and thus able to out-maneuver them. Judit really loves to play, developing that joy when her kids started to play themselves in their respective youth leagues. It's one of the only times she's clearly outwardly competitive. Chester isn't the best player and prefers to cheer from the sidelines with Jules, getting the team water and swapping out the ball when needed. Mack likes playing goalie, his size and strength making it the best place for him. His reputation also lends itself to some 57th members being intimidated by him, causing them to sometimes falter ever so slightly when nearing the goal, allowing 41st players to steal the ball. After Trant started consulting with the RCM in Revachol, he began volunteering to be the referee once he found out about the games. He is a stickler for the rules, finding enjoyment in the way football is structured. He ends up being a very good referee because of this, making sure to explain each of his calls in that joyful demeanor of his. This also helps to deter fights over calls, as some people don't want him to drone on about the history about certain rules. The teams trade off each year on which RCM color combos they'll wear for the game, alternating between RCM Blue jersey tops with white shorts and black jersey tops with grey shorts.

The first year that Kim played for the 41st, Harry gifted Kim with a pair of orange cleats that matched his bomber jacket perfectly. Kim keeps very good care of them and makes sure to mention that Harry got them for him when someone compliments him on them. Harry wears his hair in a ponytail for the games which Kim thinks is incredibly attractive, especially when Harry gets all sweaty. It's very distracting to Kim, and Harry absolutely leans into it and openly flirts with Kim on the field. Kim would never say it, but it does feel like a bit of a power move to be so clearly wanted, specifically because it's so blatantly in front of the precinct he transferred from where he felt he wasn't valued as much as he is now that he's at the 41st. Perhaps he's a bit more vindictive when playing the games against the 57th in a way he isn't practicing with the rest of the 41st.

now because those two dont interaact like at all from my knowledge i cant say much for sure, but i feel like the two of them would make a very fun team. with Skizz's impulsiveness and Mumbos redstone abilities i feel they could do some very fun stuff. I dont think theyd get very far but theyre here for a fun time, not a long time

Pearl and Tango

this one is kinda interesting. we have established that Pearl is crazy, we know that, but Tango is too just in a completely different way. Pearl doesnt beat around the bush much, she there and you know it. while Tango often works in the back seat in the middle of some crazy plot like Dare to Flare, Bet your life, or bringing a warden to the surface. combine these two and youd get some fun results.

Ren and Grian

first thing that came to mind: the dramatics. Grian is the known war starter and Ren is known roleplayer, do i need to make it obvious??? they would be SO fun to watch. Just by thinking about im upset that this isnt already a thing, god. I feel their shenanigans would be on par with the Bad Boys.

Cleo and Etho

if limited life taught us anything its that these two = divorce and im so here for that. this feels as if it be Cloe + Martyn Version 2. and considering and Etho on his own is a bit more pathetic then Martyn it would be very pitiful to watch. Cleo would be out girlbossing(as they do) and Etho would be struggling to do much, that or Etho would be also fine on his own but i think itd be better if he were a little pathetic yk

Scar and Bdubs

these two are impulsive idiots and would do nothing but enable each other and im so here for it. they would go on a million different mini mission in a single session. youd get whiplash from watching them. but i feel like this would make them either very dangerous or not threatening at all. who knows

Jimmy and Scott

flower husbands. what more do i have to say? Scott would be the pro player that he is while jimmy does nothing but get himself killed. theyd make an okay team is third life is anything to go by. i feel Scotts skills at the game and Jimmy's lack of would just balence themselves out a bit. who knows, maybe Jimmy would be the second one to die with a soulmate like Scott

Impulse and Martyn

a southlanders duo! these two were hilarious back in last life and they would be again. theyd make a pretty decent team i think. I mean these two were top two in limited life. theyd be a good mix of shenanigans and actual decent plays, a very good balance i think

and last but not least Gem and BigB

now this ones a thinker because Gem was only ever in one session of the game and did not once interact with BigB(if im remembering correctly) but going on assumptions i think these two would make a great team. first of all i think theyd be semi-wholesome. with Gems cottagecore vibes and BigBs general BigB-ness i think theyd be very cute. but also quite dangerous. Gem is a known PvPer (GeminiSlay!) and BigB makes his own good plays fairly often as well. Otherall very cute, but threatening team

like with girly yan, sensitive, housewife, cannibal, etc, you see how they look at you. you see how their eyes follow you. youve found your clothes in their room multiple times, you can sometimes hear them whimpering in their room at night with quiet little moans of your name, and lets be honest here, youre kind of a snoop by nature! so when theyre out of the house (which is quite frequent), you take a look through their room and find their journals. journals, thick ones at that, coated front to back in scribbles and the occasional coherent sentence of what they want to do to you or what they want you to do to them. a few others thatre labelled, covering everything youve done everyday for the past few years, even before you knew them. wedding vows, scrapbooks, books filled with pages of just your name, its some insane bullshit and the dots finally connect and youve got bills to pay and love attention! why not have some fun with this?

so, you start wearing more comfortable clothes around the house. maybe just a big shirt and underwear. maybe just some sweatpants (and a bra if you wear those). you wear skin tight clothes or even just underwear when you workout in the living room, grunting freely and hiding your smile when you hear your cute little yandere whine when they first see you. you start inviting them to little movie nights where you cuddle right up, pressed right against them. if youre both the same gender, you leave your door open when you undress because "c'mon, its just us here!" you 'accidentally' take their clothes, wearing them around the house just for them to see and if you finally make a move on them? they wont be able to hold themselves together for longer than a minute

as for the others, like rival, big bad, stoic, etc(CEO yan would never have a roommate), i think your teasing would have to be a bit more hands on. purposely pressing against them a little bit when you scootch past them, always finding a way to touch them when you two are sitting together, complimenting them constantly, posting provocative things on your social media and if you bring someone over and loudly have sex in your room??? you might actually break them

abefk i think - i like it!! even though it’s barely known apart from jokingly i really like the classic 2000s rivalry between a nice boy and an asshole jock thing that was going on between them before ponce’s death, i admit i miss their interactions. i miss how theyd refer to eachother with their last names. also the part in season 2 episode 6 where they both were recalling memories of the grassy knoll and abe went “i used to get food thrown at me” and jfk continued “i used to be the one throwing that food”. i like them

joanabe - i know this one is like barely a ship but i still need to talk about them badly. their friendship is so important to me. the way its always been them whether it’s joan crushing on abe or the other way around, they’re just so special to eachother in any and every way, and both struggle with the choice of helping the other or doing things that hurt the other but ultimately raise their chances of getting together. tbh im so interested in whats gonna happen with them in the finale, and in the next seasons bc i doubt their back and forth crush thing is gonna last the ENTIRE show like itll be getting a new sort of premise or main character focus which im excited for

joanfk - some of the fanart is absolutely adorable COUGH COUGH ORT SMORT COUG but its just not for me man. biggest two factors as to why i dislike it being how it overtook the fandom, and how to me they just never had any substance. they have a fun dynamic and the season 1 finale was sweet but idk it just never affected me that much. also bc i always knew it was gonna crash and burn. like that is not a stable couple as cute as it is sometimes. like at all. and im happy episode 7 finally addressed it

abe x cleo - again, not really a fondly talked about ship, but they are pretty dear to me. it’s the way cleo was clearly playing with abe at the start but actually saw the charm in him and was actually upset when he finally digested his feelings for joan… i really hope they’re gonna be good friends in the future bc episode 7 seemed to be sort of a start for that friendship and them learning to be ok around eachother after the finale…

joan x cleo - ive always been scared to talk about this one bc some people see them as sisters, which i Really dont. they never acted in a sisterly way at all, and the living together thing lasted for like what. one episode. so i doubt it had any affect on how they view their relationship. but again absolutely fair if it makes you uncomfortable for this reason! but yeah i do like them. very very good trope and there can be some really cute stuff done with them dynamic wise

harriucius - i like them its the second het ship in the show ive ever actually liked!! they just both go so well in so many ways, they both have almost the exact same struggles and cope in similar ways, but harriet has more of a hands on attitude with her problems, while confucius tends to avoid things. im VERY interested in how their relationship will go and i dont really think anything’s gonna happen to them bc i cant picture the show pairing either of them up with anyone else (mostly confucius tbh 😭)

joanharriet - i WISH this one was more acknowledged by the fandom like i think its the least popular one at least involving the newbies.. can you tell im a sucker for ships that are literally just two close friends who love eachother more than anything. lol. when i think of them i think of episode 5 which makes me extremely happy. like look me in the eyes and tell me that was not an absolutely beautiful wonderfully wrapped episode

johnfucius - gonna be honest i dont like this one. i know this is a really rich thing to say while talking about clone high season 2 but it just felt rushed, and especially with how they barely did anything after sleepover. like they were literally crying both of them being like OMG I FINALLY HAVE A FRIEND!! and then they proceed to have the most stale interactions with the most notable one being in the next episode and it’s literally just confucius encouraging jfk to avoid his problems like he does. not really good. but again if you enjoy them all the power to you, im happy you found something you like that hasn’t been ruined and seems pretty docile and chill compared to all the other ones :o) it’s very much a mostly fandom based ship

I HAVE NO WORDS JUST BEAUTIFUL. there definitely was a lack of suspense like based off the intro and the slight buildup throughout the series BUT that literally doesn’t matter. out of every canon couple they are the absolute cutest im obsessed with the effect they have on eachother. especially on cleos side of things like ahhh!!!! she found someone she actually connects to genuinely!!!! i am so happy for her!!!!!!

abetoph - Sigh i sure did save this one for last. while im a lot less comfortable with it now i still love thinking of them pre episode 8 and i do think their relationship is just ever so slightly more interesting now with the added double crossing n shit added to it. but im also sad they’ll never be the way they were may 24th to june 14th again . that specific time period of them is so comforting to me for no reason, all the memes and running jokes in the fandom involving them, all the wholesome fan work of them sleeping in tophers bed, watching stuff on tophers computer together, abe being tophers voice of the reason and the one person he actually likes, it’s just so … man.
