I was looking at your Halloween posts of the HoM and a thought occurred. Is Ben's extreme fear of ghosts/spirits and stuff related to his experiences with Ghostfreak/Zs'skayr?

And how did such fears affect his initial meeting with Danny?

Yes it is related! Original Ben10 run always gave me an impression that beside Vilgax, Ghostfreak/Zs'skayr left probably one of the most lasting impressions on 10-year-old Ben. After all, imagine you are 10 and you can tranform into aliens, but one of them almost takes over you and nearly kills your family member. Like??? I would be having an existential and identity crisis, not to mention the nightmares about not being able to control your own body and hurting your loved ones???

And sure, he defeated Zs'skayr multiple times, but I like to think that his fear of being controlled/taken over by Zs'skayr (or anyone) left one of the deeper scars on his psyche (amongst like a bajillion of others).

So, yes, that fear and trauma did affect his first meeting with Danny >;) very badly.

Their first encounter was full of misunderstandings and miscommunications all around (sort of like what we see happen between Rex and Ben in Heroes United but even worse) AND it didn't help that Ben was... let's just say, not in the greatest state of mind at that time and Danny didn't have the most rational and calm reactions to the situations either. Both had their own valid reasons, but it's still wasn't very good, lol.

There are also two very important extra circumstances surrounding their meeting that contributed to their reactions, that I dont want to spoil, because it would be more fun to try and tell in a story. xD

And there hopefully will be one, because Danny&Ben first meeting is one of the flashbacks that I had a lot of ideas for AND is important to the AU.

Rubius left the server for now, but he says he’ll get more involved in QSMP again. First, he wants to call the admins so they can update him on the lore.

Rubius also said that, at the time when QSMP first started, he was a little “Minecraft”-ed out. But now that some time has passed, he wants to enter the server and build small things… but as a “human” without losing his angel and demon lore.

Howdy y’all. I’m a bit nervous to share this but I might as well. I’m gonna scrap this prologue. I know I said I was gonna do it before and then I got going on it but I think it’s official now. I’m getting really bored with this chapter and it’s not going anywhere. The story for lbl has changed a lot and I think it’s something that I am set in stone with, and this prologue simply does not fit the story anymore. And instead of trying to write around plot holes, I just decided to get rid of it entirely. I will keep the comic up, I’m actually proud of some of the comic pages and I want people to see it, and if you wanna read the story you can read the fic I wrote (tho it sucks so much just a fair warning). But the only thing that fits the story is the very end, which is where Sky gets pulled into a portal, which I drew above! Everything else is too complicated. Like the whole nightmare involving Hylia? She was gonna serve a bigger role in the story, probably a side villain or something, but truthfully people made me feel bad about that and I found a better villain and reasoning on why the boys are all together, so Hylia barely even has a role in the story. Sooo yeah, this comic is ending.

Im gonna take some time to outline the whole story and I’m gonna continue working on the first chapter, which I have been working on for a while now, but I just wanna be nicer to myself for this, and the sky arc was killing my self esteem. So wish me luck and I’ll see y’all in the first chapter!

*sits up in the middle of the night* in this next universe where vampires seem to have taken over the world, marceline probably either never met simon or he died soon after they met, which means that since her mom also died when she was really young (too young to remember a lot about her i bet), she most likely raised herself completely alone through the apocalypse and never really learned about Morals which is how after getting bitten she joined the vampires and, became evil i guess. we see that even with simons good influence in her formative years she went through a rough path after getting bitten so it would make sense that shed turn out nasty if it wasnt for him. she is part demon. we just saw an universe where simon lost marcy and was fucked up and now we're gonna see one where marcy lost simon and became fucked up

Watching ofmd with my friend & she was so indignant on behalf of Stede when it was implied that he had gotten his crew killed (at the end of ep3)

And I realized, she's right! I'd never thought of it before, but that trap was like 100% for Jim, Geraldo even confirms it when he takes their fake beard/nose, he doesnt even glance at Stede, the gloating is 100% to let Jim know SJ bested them/got her revenge at last

Like, I don't doubt they would have ended up on that Spanish ship even if Stede hadn't broken her nose jar.

Was he dumb to trust Geraldo so easily/invite him on his ship/board a strange ship rather than meeting on neutral ground or something? Yes, absolutely.

Was it entirely on him? Not at all!

And that got us talking about the other things Stede's been blamed for so far

Like the British boarding them in ep1?

Should Stede have kept a close eye on the ship so they could identify it before they got within cannon range? Yeah!

But the only reason he gave the order to chase that big ship was because half of his crew was ready to kill him if they didn't get to do some violence/raiding AND they wanted a big ship to raid.

Should Stede have buckled up & just stood up to his childhood bully/been ungentlemanly rude & not invited Nigel on board? Easier said than done but also yes!

Would they have approached the naval ship if the crew wasn't being so obvious/vocal about wanting to do some real pirating? No!

And in ep2?

It's like 95% Button's fault that the ship ran aground.

Should Stede, as captain, have told Buttons "Sorry, Buttons, you don't get to participate in story time, you've got a job to do" or noticed that he wasn't at the helm? Yep. (To be fair, no one noticed until it was too late)

But it was still Buttons who abandoned his post

Stede should have been more clear about who could participate in "vacations" but Roach is still the one who thought it was a good idea to let the hostages out of sight

In conclusion, the mishaps that befall the Revenge/the crew are a group effort

When Lucius calls Stede a horrible captain in ep1 & Oluwande responds that they're not the best crew either, he wasn't just being nice

Stede gets a bad rap, he only deserves like 50% of the blame!

overall i think movie sonic being redesigned was a good decision but sometimes i wish they had never done it with how annoying people are about it with the constant spread of misinformation about how/why it happened + this attitude people have gotten from it thinking they can get anything they don't like in a movie or show or game changed if they complain on twitter enough regardless of what exactly they're wanting changed or how close the release date is or what company is making it or whatever
