i just remembered this terrible terrible dream i had last night. i was looking for my mom in a big soaring auditorium a big gothic black chamber in the dark in the balcony wings. and i found her i guess and maybe i had been hiding actually or doing something bad and she was annoyed with me so we left and outside i was stepping on these sharp things and they were tearing up one of my feet they were these little sharp shell shapes and some of them were bugs maybe and they were digging into my foot and i found that the bottom of my foot was just a layer of these weird gummy flesh clusters like cartoon red blood cells all packed in there. they were falling out when i tried to dig out the sharp shells and at the bottom of that layer was a transparent film and below that was bones and veins but like the vision of a foot from far away like an illusion because it would have been just under this layer but instead it looked a few inches away. and i made my mom stop so we were sitting at this bench well she was sitting at the bench i was on the ground and i was so scared seeing the bones and veins it scared me so bad and there was just that film there and i was so scared of it breaking and meanwhile these gummy discs that made up my foot were squirming and falling out. and so i was crying to my mom and she called this doctor line not 911 but something else and the doctor said hello what is your problem and i said something to the effect of "hello please please please my foot its falling apart i can see the bone and veins please help me please help me" i was just sobbing and then i paused and the voice on the line said something to indicate it wasn't a real call there wasn't anyone there and it was terrifying my mom was so nonplussed she was just like hmm and i was hysterical i was like please please call someone an ambulance call 911 and she was like nooo you don't need 911 and i was like i can't walk my foot my foot and i think i tried to call 911 and i was just screaming and sobbing like "my foot my foot i can't walk i can see the bones please please please somebody come" and it's the only time i can ever remember in my life waking up with words on my lips. i woke up saying "mom!". soscary and even though it was this morning i still remember it. im sure it would have been more solid if i recounted it right after but even so usually my dreams mostly fade after i wake up

i hate that a lot of analog horror recently is a ripoff of old media in the genre and also quite poorly made but its still always soscary because uncanny valley will always scare people no matter what so im just like watching this stuff and going like Psh thats a 6/10 too lofi then later on at like 2am im like Oh shit i have to go up these stairs as fast as possible to get to my room in the dark or else the fucking skinamarink or whatever is going to fucking get me
