Thinking back to DnD Qalaari (it's been a while since we've been able to play but !!! maybe next week !!!!) and... I've decided early on that, while she knows how to speak 3 languages, it wouldn't make any sense that she'd now how to write / read (her culture is very oral, and she personally never was in a position that necessitated her to interact with written aspects of it) and it's been ???? really fun ??? My whole table collectively often forgets that she can't read so it always leads to funny situations : "Maybe Qalaari could go climb up and read [thing] aloud to us ?" "Ah... hm... I'm sorry but... hm..." "Ah, right." It also makes everything more complicated but for now never in a way that was just frustrating 🙏 (Though I think I'm the only one at the table that knows draconic so.... rip to ever reading THAT shit... Qalaa is slowly deciphering a cookbook thanks to her groupmates but for now she mostly goes with the pictures and the numbers (she knows numbers) mkfdsjhks

Me picking up Elden Ring again : I still have Qalaari to get through the Emotional Wringer and Lana and Rena to level up to their full build too... (and that’s not speaking of continuing the story on my ‘Cleanrot Blade’ alt too fdkmsjgh) Qalaari, in reality, has two alternate timelines possible. Her ‘good’ ending would be doing Ranni’s quest and espousing her (truly the best timeline for this gay babygirl). Unfortunately for her, I already did this ending on my first character :) so she gets the Terrible Ending... Which consists of (in this specific order) : finding where the 3 fingers reside, listen to Melina and leave it alone, keep playing for a while, learn that Melina needs to die to open the Erdtree... choose to actually prevent That and go back to the 3 fingers, lose Melina but for A Different Reason, get the Madness ending :) Also her build is all STR/FTH with a biiiig focus on Bestial Spells because throwing rocks around is rly fun ngl (and so is smashing people to the floor with a big hammer). For Cleanrot I think last time I played I finally got the Blue Dancer’s curved dword (the Flowing Sword ??? I think ???) so tbh I’m pretty set on them... I just need to reach Elphael and Malenia’s room to bring her home... and then go obliterate Mogwyn (maybe one day I’ll finish the game on her) My HC is that she brings Miquella home to Malenia and they rebuild Elphael all together.... this is her destiny. Lana is gonna take a while bc I wanna build her INT/FTH and have like... All The Fucking Spells Of The Game because that’s just the kind of bitch she is... And for Rena I’m exploring what and ARC build would look like (still dunno what kind of ARC build specifically... for now I’m going around trying to collect weapons...) I’ll prob use the opportunity to do different endings for achievements but the ‘canon’ for them is that on her quest to Get All Knowledge, Lana meets Sellen and has a bit of a thing with her for a while, but then what happens happens and Lana also met Ranni and she decides to help her (and Rena is here to help Lana reach her goal) and they make a cute little polycule in the stars at the end :>
