BangChan

The captain!! To a stanger, he’s the intimidating, ruthless captain of Stray Kids. He puts on his persona in order to protect his crew, his lifestyle, everything he’s worked so hard for. He’ll be damned if one of his members is kidnapped, injured, or even worse, killed. But on the security of his ship, all of that is thrown off the plank. He makes sure that everyone is fed, clean, and healthy. He tries his best not to argue with the crew, and tries breaking up any fights that arise between them. He tries hiding his soft side, but oftentimes he finds himself staring fondly at his members when they have downtime. Overall, he’s a catch. 

Minho

Minho is in charge of weaponry. Although he has his moments that make Chan doubt why he trusted Minho with them in the first place. But, he does his job well, so it’s tolerated. He trains the crew on swordsmanship and handling a blade as well. Minho also does a great job making sure swords, spears, and daggers of all kinds are sharpened, and the ship cannons are clean. One minor inconvenience, though. Try not bother him too much while he’s looking over his swords, or you might just get one thrown at you. (He would never actually aim it directly at anyone. His precision is top-notch)

Changbin

Changbin specializes in close-range or hand-to-hand combat. This man is an absolute unit. He’s the one to go to with any combat questions, as well as every crew member’s weekly training/sparring. Before joining Stray Kids, he fought daily to survive on the streets. During his own free time aboard the ship, he works out in his quarters or on the deck. He flexes his muscles after any type of physical activity lol. The rest of the crew is used to it at this point. 

Hyunjin

Hyunjin is such a fashion icon, it only makes sense if he’s in charge of everyone’s garments. He knows alot about stitching and sewing, he can repair almost anything. He can tell just by looking at an article of clothing if it’s worn out or needs to be replaced soon, for fear of less protection. Whenever he repairs something with a needle and thread, he sometimes adds little flowers or patterns around it with the thread. He has sheets of various sewing patterns on his cabin walls, annotated with his own notes. 

Han

Han maintains the ship. There’s no possible way he’d let the ship get run-down. It’s game over for any barnacle on the deck. Also, Han makes sure the ropes for the sails never get tangled up. The boys take turns cleaning the ship floorboards. Han just took it upon himself to make sure everything is organized and in order because of his perfectionism, which can turn into anxiety if it’s not dealt with. His guilty pleasure is deciding to watch the sunset creep below the open ocean. He leans over the railing, lost in thought. 

Felix

Felix oversees the ship’s food supply. He goes down into the storage room every day to take inventory. He also notes what needs to be restocked and bought once they reach land. The boys all take turns cooking and helping with meals and then cleaning up after themselves. Sometimes when there’s extra supplies, he’ll make some sweet treats like muffins or biscuits. It makes him feel proud of himself when he hears all the members praising his treats. 

Seungmin

Seungmin Is in charge of directions and geography. His quarters are filled to the brim with maps of lands near and far, and detailed directions of ocean currents. Seungmin is a smart boy who has always valued time spent quietly studying or reading. However, he is not shy by any means. He’s the one that helps chan navigate unknown waters and directions to new territories. His downtime is usually spent in his own quarters with a lamp by his side, inspecting a map for the hundredth time, figuring out distances and trade routes. His clever mind is well utilized. On the off-chance, you can catch him setting up pranks around the ship for the other members to stumble upon. 

Jeongin

Since Jeongin is the youngest, the crewmates (usually) go easy on him. They’re just pleased that he does his part aboard the ship. Whenever he’s around, his positive energy is infectious. Everyone is in a good mood when Jeongin is talking, or explaining the rules to a new card game he invented. (it will be forgotten about in a day). Surprisingly, Jeongin is good at haggling. In every new town, the crew sends him out to befriend the storekeepers. They don’t have a choice but give Jeongin what he’s asking for. The wide smile on Jeongin’s face when he walks back to the group with supplies and the leftover gold is priceless.

his heart would stop beating everytime you walk out of the dressing room looking so beautiful 😳

And not just you, the whole store staff notices and gets all awweh at the lovestruck way he looks at you 🥺

The wholesome person who suggests you buy the whole complete outfit. Like you buy a dress and he will be dragging you to a heel store, and then a jewelry store then a makeup store and basically EVERYTHING you need to slay that outfit completely!! >.<

He likes getting matching clothes with you. Nothing too cheesy or flashy, just simple same coloured stuffs that he would love to wear with you on the same day like cute couples.

And istg matching shoes are a must!! He would DEFINITELY take pictures of your legs intertwined and giggle about you two wearing the same shoe.

Clothes shopping is one thing but grocery shopping is JUST ON ANOTHER LEVEL bc the domesticity is unreal 🥺👉🏻👈🏻

All in all, shopping dates are a must bc he’s just outright adorable

And not like you could do it alone in the first place anyway, cause he always insists to tag along and accompany his beloved girl!!

Throwback to that time I wrote a twisty political scandal fic disguised as a coffeeshop AU. I'm still quite pleased with this one, it was very fun to write the twists and turns, with suave coffee snob Crowley and thirsty, thirsty Aziraphale. If you like a bit of a mystery, a bit of a plot twist, and a good deal of capital-c Clues, you'll enjoy this.

Served Cold by FeralTuxedo M, 14205 words Summary: On a quiet Wednesday morning, a man with flaming red hair and a face tattoo saunters into a London café. But it appears that he’s there for rather more than just espresso.

Snippet:

This was exactly the type of customer Divinitea wanted to attract, Aziraphale thought. Modern, fashionable, rich. Too casually dressed to be a banker. No, this was someone with an undefinable job that was mostly done at posh brunch places with free wi-fi. He probably had the word entrepreneur on his business card.

He was clearly a bellend. But a very attractive one. Shame Anathema wasn’t here to admire him. Aziraphale would have to do that all by himself.

He turned to the stainless steel behemoth that was the coffee-maker, an expensive import from Italy which Anathema insisted would keep the customers coming back, and began the complicated series of steps that resulted in a steaming stream of thick black coffee pouring into a tiny and rather pretty duck-egg-blue cup.

Aziraphale served it to the stranger, placing the cup on an equally tiny saucer. The man had taken his sunglasses off by now and was watching him with curious brown eyes.

‘Is this place new? I swear it wasn’t here last year.’

‘It wasn’t,’ Aziraphale said. ‘We opened a few months ago.’

It had been a spur-of-the-moment decision, fuelled by two bottles of Chardonnay and a dangerously outraged Anathema. Gabriel, of course, had been the cause of her outrage. And Aziraphale, who’d very much been drinking to forget, had instead ended up agreeing to her harebrained idea.

But the mysterious customer didn’t need to know all that.

He took a sip of his espresso and pulled a face. Aziraphale tutted.

‘Coffee not to your liking?’

‘Well…’ The man scrunched up his nose and tipped his head from side to side. ‘Since you asked. It’s a little over in the roast.’

Aziraphale just about stopped himself from muttering You’re a little over in the roast and instead focused intently on wiping the already spotless bar top.

‘But then,’ the man continued, ‘you’re not called Divini-coffee, are you? I bet your tea is top notch.’

Despite himself, Aziraphale laughed.

‘Divini-coffee?’

‘Did the pun come first or the menu?’

‘If you must know, I wasn’t keen on serving coffee in the first place. There’s a perfectly serviceable Costa just up the road, you see, and even a little independent place for those with a more discerning palate and a bigger budget—’

‘What, so you’d rather have people go to the competition for a hot drink? That’s one way to sabotage your own business.’

‘— then my partner made the same observation, and here we are with apparently subpar espresso that’s a little over in the roast.’

‘Your partner?’

‘Junior partner,’ Aziraphale corrected. ‘She owns 30% of the business.’

‘But 100% of the business sense, by the sound of it.’

‘She’s also the one who picks and orders the coffee beans, so you better take it up with her.’

The man shielded his eyes with the side of his palm and turned his head left and right, like a ship’s captain on the lookout for land.

‘Unless your partner is invisible, I don’t seem to have an option but to take it up with you.’

‘Fine.’ Aziraphale sighed. ‘Do you want a refund?’

He hoped not. They were already in the red for this month. On the other hand, Anathema was always very quick to offer refunds, going on the rather flawed assumption that a happy customer was, somehow, preferable to actual money in the till.

‘No need for such extreme measures,’ the man said with a wink, ‘It’s leagues better than Costa at any rate. Though I will take a few minutes of your company as compensation.’

God damn, he was charming. Aziraphale detested him for it, just a little. But then, because he was Aziraphale Fell and his only two weaknesses were French pastries and arrogant men, he did sit down with him. On the edge of the chair, of course, with his back straight and one eye on the door, just to make it absolutely clear that he was at work, and not usually in the habit of lounging about with customers.

The man grinned at him, clearly relishing the awkwardness. Aziraphale stared right back, eyebrows raised. He was not going to let this stranger fluster him.

‘You could at least tell me your name, if you insist on this—’

He flapped his hands between them to make a point.

‘Crowley,’ the man said, after a drawn-out pause.

He savoured the word like a fine wine, and Aziraphale thought it suited him perfectly.

‘Crowley,’ he repeated. ‘You go by your surname?’

‘Yup. I like it that way. Maybe you should try it, too, er… Aziraphale.’

Crowley’s eyes dropped down, once again, to Aziraphale’s name badge, and lingered there much longer than necessary.

‘Oh no, I shouldn’t think so,’ Aziraphale said lightly. ‘Anyway. Do you wish to converse at all, or are you perfectly happy just to stare?’

‘Was just admiring your apron, that’s all.’

‘Thank you. My partner hates it.’

‘I take it she’s not a fan of tartan?’

‘She says it doesn’t suit her.’

‘Suits you, anyway.’

Aziraphale mumbled another thank you. He was starting to get a little hot under the collar. It wasn’t hard to figure out why. He was fairly certain he’d seen this exact scenario play out on Pornhub. Minus the tartan apron, of course.

And really… it had been a quiet morning so far. Perhaps he could lock up the front door and drag Crowley to the back room. Have him rip the apron over his head and push him against the fridge and be done with him before Anathema arrived for her shift at lunch time.

Aziraphale sighed an inward sigh and, of course, did nothing of the sort. Good lord, he really needed to get laid. But ideally not at work. He had standards, after all. Unfortunately, Crowley appeared to meet all of them.

‘What do you want to talk about, then?’ he asked, trying hard to drag his thoughts out of the gutter.

‘Anything, really. The weather? Your favourite band? The embarrassment that is our current prime minister? Bet you’ve got some interesting thoughts to share.’

Aziraphale huffed. It was clumsy flirting, certainly more clumsy than he would have expected from a man who wore his trousers quite so tight.

I completed Piofiore: Fated Memories on Nintendo Switch about a month ago. Piofiore is a popular otome visual novel about mafia in 1920's Italy. The promise of a mature story paired with beautiful art style enticed me to buy the game. I was also curious to find out why the otome fandom calls a certain love interest in the game a "trashbando".

The protagonist Liliana "Lili" Adornato is an upstanding young woman raised by church and she gets tangled in the world of organized crime. Most of the love interests in the game represent three competing mafia families: Falzone, Visconti and Lao Shu. The mafia setting lends a natural frame for mature themes that include violence, human trafficking, torture and sexual assault.

Each love interest has a bad ending, good ending and best ending. In addition to this they all have a short after story. Yang's route was easily my favorite - lots of action and fun events. Orlok's bad ending was memorable with its brutality - poor guy. Some of the routes weren't super interesting. Dante's route had the ingredients to grab my attention but the execution wasn't the best. I ended up slightly disappointed with the overall story not completely revealing a certain key factor of the plot. Maybe the rest of the "mystery" is reserved for the sequel, Piofiore: Episodio 1926? I could have done with less romance and more story even though Piofiore apparently isn't that loaded with romance fluff.

I found it interesting how a character could appear wildly different on a different route. Some may claim this is inconsistent writing but I find it logical to incorporate different points of view to characters' personality and have them act differently according to their motives in different situations. Being a loving and caring person towards someone doesn't mean they couldn't have a sadistic tendency towards people who oppose them.

What comes to favorite characters, at first glance I thought Gilbert would be my top pick - manly man with a badass eye patch. Gilbert had his moments with some funny light-hearted scenes and his gentlemanly ways. Especially the way he spoke to Dante made me chuckle: "Yo Dante! What's with the face? You sick or something?". But I ended up liking Yang the most. Yang was such a peculiar character and his attitude and dialogue made me laugh. I guess I'm part of the trashbando-loving "Yang gang" now. My husband pointed out that it's usually the bald 50+ year-olds or the red-haired ones that strike my fancy and that was true in this case too. The various side characters were a good addition to the cast.

There's a good amount of high quality CG images to unlock in the game. I was especially impressed with the intricate details in clothing and jewelry. A common occurrence was me commenting "oo wow, look at those amazing details in the dress" during a scene where the protagonist and a love interest kiss.

The game's user interface is pure eye candy. The usual quality of life features like skipping previously read content, dialogue history, quick save/load and chapter select are present. The music was pretty good too. Voice acting was top notch but I was unhappy the protagonist wasn't voiced (and her portrait wasn't shown during her dialogue). I recall a few typos and grammar mistakes in the game but overall I'd say the localization was done well.

My top complaint is that there was an absurd amount of dialogue about food but they hardly ever showed it in pictures. All kinds of delicious dishes and desserts kept being mentioned but I think they showed food only twice. Show me the food, dammit! Oh, and Nicola's fashion sense irked me. His outfit was so classy and then he had to accessorize with a tie that looks like it was barfed on.

Finishing all the routes and unlocking all content in the game took me 55 hours. I started playing in February and finally finished in October. I'm not the fastest reader and I have a chronic case of falling asleep when I try to play in bed in the evenings.

I liked the game but at some points I felt like the story was dragging. I didn't enjoy Piofiore quite as much as I did Café Enchanté and Variable Barricade for example. Maybe it's because Piofiore is a lot more serious in tone and doesn't have much in the way of humor. The art and Yang's route were the highlights for me. I'm still keen on playing the sequel at some point.

Logic - Vinyl Days ALBUM REVIEW

Logic’s retirement from music was very much short lived but he “ended” on a really great note with No Pressure, which was definitely a return to form and easily one of his best albums. I was a bit confused with the release of Bobby Tarantino 3 as it sounded exactly like what Logic said he was steering away from on No Pressure but he later clarified that the project was a bunch of leftover and only came out to help him get out of his Def Jam deal—which is what it sounded like. Vinyl Days marks Logic’s final album on Def Jam, which he talks about heavily on the album, especially on the song Sayonara which is a big thank you note. It’s very much similar to his Last Call song he made on YSIV fashioned after Kanye’s Last Call and J. Cole’s Note To Self. Like the title suggests, Vinyl Days is all about sampling and taking things back to the essence of hip hop’s roots, which Logic has always championed with the Young Sinatra mixtapes. Logic has never been ashamed to show his influences, which I see nothing wrong with especially because the point of the album is that Logic is having fun making the kind of hip hop he grew up on and fell in love. The love for J Dilla and Madlib is quite clear on songs like Tetris and Quasi and pays homage to groups like Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, and Wu-Tang Clan, on songs like Bleed It, Rogue One, and Porta One with RZA. The album plays like a mixtape as there are plenty of J Dilla sirens as well as Funk Flex drops—who acts as the hype man throughout the album as if he was premiering it live on the radio. It’s a pretty cool idea and adds more to the classic hip hop spirit of the album. Logic still sounds like Logic and he does not run out of bars on the album. His flow is always top notch and his punchlines and wordplay are on point as well. It’s very different from the way he was rhyming on No Pressure as that album was more conceptual and this album’s concept is much more freeform which is a nice change of pace as some songs are brief displays of lyrical exercise, such as the song BLACKWHITEBOY where Logic spits so many bars that it’s hard to keep up. Though Logic pays a lot of homage to his inspirations, he still makes plenty of time for more original sounding songs like Clouds which sounds like classic Logic. My one issue with that song is that the Curren$y verse with the different beat seems like it was tacked on at the end for no reason. It would have made more sense if he rapped on the same beat. Logic does rap a lot for the sake of rapping but there is more focused content on the album such as the song Therapy Music with Russ as they both share their perspectives on what therapy has done for them while also dropping plenty of hard bars. The soulful beat on the song Breath Control with Wiz Khalifa also sounds like a mix between vintage Logic and Wiz while the drums remind listeners of their previous collaboration Indica Badu. Early Logic collaborator C Dot Castro reunites with Logic for their first song together since 24. Not only does Logic show up to rap, but his impressive guest features did not hold back with some amazing verses such as Nezi Momodu whose verse was so great, making for the best first impression ever. Action Bronson’s verse is one his best in recent memory and Royce’s verse has such incredible rhyme schemes that it takes multiple replays to catch all of it. AZ’s verse shows that he is sharper than ever and Blu’s verse on Orville shows why he’s one of the best. The only things I really didn’t like about this album were the length as it is obnoxiously long, the many voicemails left by different celebrities that make up the interludes messing with the flow of the album, Like’s verse was too short and The Game’s verse didn’t really fit the song despite it being very good. I love how Logic gave each featured guest the perfect beat for them to rap over, leading to my next point which is that the production is fantastic. It’s nothing new for Logic or in general but it is great quality classic boom bap with great chopped samples and loops. The hints on this album to his next album College Park have me curious about what Logic’s independent career is going to look like because Vinyl Days is an excellent way to leave the label he’s been signed to since his first album and marks that Logic’s place as a true student of hip hop who is free to experiment has been solidified whether you like him or not.

My next Good Omens fic is a sort of coffeeshop AU, and I'm ridiculously excited about it. It's short, sweet, starts in a café and ends up who knows where.

The first of four chapters is coming to an AO3 near you on Wednesday. Here's a little snippet from it:

This was exactly the type of customer Divinitea wanted to attract, Aziraphale thought. Modern, fashionable, rich. Too casually dressed to be a banker. No, this was someone with an undefinable job that was mostly done at posh brunch places with free wi-fi. He probably had the word entrepreneur on his business card.

He was clearly a bellend. But a very attractive one. Shame Anathema wasn’t here to admire him. Aziraphale would have to do that all by himself.

He turned to the stainless steel behemoth that was the coffee-maker, an expensive import from Italy which Anathema insisted would keep the customers coming back, and began the complicated series of steps that resulted in a steaming stream of thick black coffee pouring into a tiny and rather pretty duck-egg-blue cup.

Aziraphale served it to the stranger, placing the cup on an equally tiny saucer. The man had taken his sunglasses off by now and was watching him with curious brown eyes.

‘Is this place new? I swear it wasn’t here last year.’

‘It wasn’t,’ Aziraphale said. ‘We opened a few months ago.’

It had been a spur-of-the-moment decision, fuelled by two bottles of Chardonnay and a dangerously outraged Anathema. Gabriel, of course, had been the cause of her outrage. And Aziraphale, who’d very much been drinking to forget, had instead ended up agreeing to her harebrained idea.

But the mysterious customer didn’t need to know all that. He took a sip of his espresso and pulled a face. Aziraphale tutted.

‘Coffee not to your liking?’

‘Well…’ The man scrunched up his nose and tipped his head from side to side. ‘Since you asked. It’s a little over in the roast.’

Aziraphale just about stopped himself from muttering You’re a little over in the roast and instead focused intently on wiping the already spotless bar top.

‘But then,’ the man continued, ‘you’re not called Divini-coffee, are you? I bet your tea is top notch.’

Despite himself, Aziraphale laughed.

‘Divini-coffee?’

‘Did the pun come first or the menu?’

‘If you must know, I wasn’t keen on serving coffee in the first place. There’s a perfectly serviceable Costa just up the road, you see, and even a little independent place for those with a more discerning palate and a bigger budget—’

‘What, so you’d rather have people go to the competition for a hot drink? That’s one way to sabotage your own business.’

‘— then my partner made the same observation, and here we are with apparently subpar espresso that’s a little over in the roast.’

‘Your partner?’

‘Junior partner,’ Aziraphale corrected. ‘She owns 30% of the business.’

‘But 100% of the business sense, by the sound of it.’

‘She’s also the one who picks and orders the coffee beans, so you better take it up with her.’

The man shielded his eyes with the side of his palm and turned his head left and right, like a ship’s captain on the lookout for land.

‘Unless your partner is invisible, I don’t seem to have an option but to take it up with you.’

‘Fine.’ Aziraphale sighed. ‘Do you want a refund?’

He hoped not. They were already in the red for this month. On the other hand, Anathema was always very quick to offer refunds, going on the rather flawed assumption that a happy customer was, somehow, preferable to actual money in the till.

‘No need for such extreme measures,’ the man said with a wink, ‘It’s leagues better than Costa at any rate. Though I will take a few minutes of your company as compensation.’

In related news, I'm willing to suspend my disbelief for soap logic, but srsly, Walford police are thicker than pig shit if they buy this confession bollocks.

"Just call off the investigation boys, someone said they dunnit. Cancel forensics. Should save the taxpayer a few bob. Plus if they plead guilty it won't go to trial and we won't need to account for our half-arsed investigation. Top notch policing lads. Commendations and coffees all round. Due diligence? Never heard of her."

If this is srsly an exit exit, it's dumb as fuuuuuuuuuck. It makes zero sense. Eve would've surely pointed out that the CPS need this pesky lil thing called evidence to prosecute, and the police have none. All Kheerat would be doing is buying Suki time. Oh, and interfering in a police investigation, which is a bit of a no no. Not to mention they could probably nail Suki on a few lesser charges anyway when everything comes to light. She didn't kill the prick, but she did cover it up.

Either the writers are playing an angle or they just shat the bed in spectacular fashion.
