Tonight was supposed to be a fun night out with your friends. With work making you more tense than usual, you didn’t hesitate to accept Natasha’s invitation for a girls' night out at a nearby bar. But everything wasn’t going as you hoped. 

When you and your friends first arrived, you didn’t hesitate to go to the bar and order a round of shots. Shouts of happiness rang out across the group and you felt at ease. You were surrounded by people you always had fun with, and that was what you focused on. You even let a couple of guys buy you drinks because who would turn that down? 

After about 20 minutes, you all decided to move onto the dance floor. You were singing along to the song that was blasting, it was one of your favorites as you danced with your other friend Wanda. A smile was permanently plastered on your face and you were having a great time. That was until a creep decided to ruin your fun. 

You didn’t even notice him until you were dancing, you could spot him in the corner of your eye watching your every move. He looked gross and greasy, definitely not someone you’d even walk up to. Besides, you were already with Bucky, the love of your life. He was everything you wanted in a man. He held an undying loyalty to you, treated you like a queen, showered you with love and gifts, and being with him was heaven. He was also involved in one of the biggest mob organizations in the city. At first, he tried to hide his lifestyle from you. His wealth being covered up with coming from old money which wasn’t entirely untrue, but it was only part of it. He finally mustered up the courage to tell you what he does for a living, wondering if you would run off or not, and you didn’t. 

You were his, and him being a mob boss wouldn’t change it. He just made sure to never bring his work around you, no matter what. He didn’t want you to see the violent side of him. He was always going to be gentle with you, not wanting you to be scared of him, and you loved it. He would die for you, kill for you, but you never wanted to test that, but maybe you might have to. 

When you notified Wanda of the strange man, she pulled you away towards the back of the crowd away from his eyesight. You tried to shake the man from your mind and resumed having a good time. That was until you felt two hands set on your waist. You quickly pushed them off and turned around, seeing the man standing behind you.

“What the fuck dude?!” You yelled at him over the music 

“Just wanted to dance with you, what’s the harm in that?” He replied smugly 

You scoffed “Yeah but I didn’t ask you to, besides I have a boyfriend”

“And he let you leave the house like that?” He pointed to your skin-tight sheer black dress

“Let me? I’m my own person you prick, and besides, he said I looked pretty so” you tilted your head “Still doesn’t give you the right to just grab me like that”

“I hardly grabbed you, don’t be so dramatic. If you didn’t want people to approach you don’t leave the house dressed like a whore”

Your eyes widened and you went to lunge at him before Wanda pulled you back as you kept yelling at him. She led you out of the bar and turned to face you “You alright?” She asked

“Yeah I’m fine” you shuddered “I just- he’s a prick” you crossed your arms “How dare he just put his hands on me then call ME a whore? Who does he think he is?”

Wanda rubbed the side of your arm as you continued to be angry, muttering to yourself. “I know what to do” you pulled your phone out of your purse “Gonna show that asshole who he messed with” you dialed Bucky’s number and held the phone to your ear. 

“Hey darling, having fun?” He spoke first 

“No! Can you come down here please?” You pleaded

Bucky frowned and immediately pulled on a shirt and shoes “I’ll be there in five minutes” he hung up. You held back a smile, he didn’t even need a reason, he was always going to come when you needed him. 

Wanda looked at you “You know he’s gonna probably kill him right?”

You nodded “Mhm”

Wanda giggled and shook her head as you both waited for Bucky to show up. 

Not even five minutes later, Bucky pulls up outside of the bar, getting out of it and standing tall in all his 6’4 glory. You didn’t hesitate to go over to him and wrap your arms around him, resting your head against his chest. He held you close and kissed the top of your head “What happened sweetheart?”

You looked up at him “Some guy was being creepy and kept staring at me the whole night, and when we went to go dance he followed me and tried to dance with me, put his hands on my waist, and when I tried to tell him off he called me a whore for wearing my dress”

You watched as Bucky’s eyes darkened “Where is he?” “He should still be in there, we didn’t see him leave”

A/N: My first official series!!! I'm so excited to write this and I hope you all like it :)

SERIES MASTERLIST

Y/N was one of the last people at the office for the day which made sense considering it was almost 11 pm. She worked at one of the biggest law firms in New York City and this case was tough as she did her best to gather arguments to get her client the lowest prison sentence she could. Once she looked over at her computer and her eyes felt fuzzy and blurry, that’s when she knew she was done for the day. She packed up her things and locked up her office before going to the elevator. She pulled out her phone and checked for any missed messages and replied to a few before hearing the elevator doors open.

When she looked up from her phone, she was met with a tall, blonde man who was dressed in a white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, holding his jacket on his arm and black dress pants. She could admit, this man was absolutely gorgeous. She’s probably seen him around but who knows due to how busy she can get. She flashed him a small smile and got on the elevator with him and stood beside him and watched the elevator doors close.

“Long night?” The man spoke to her in his deep baritone voice

She looked up at him before nodding a bit “Um, yeah, I pretty much always leave at this time” she chuckled nervously “You?”

He shrugged “Yeah, something like that. Just came to see how everything going” She gave him a confused look “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you around before. Granted I’ve only been here 6 months so”

He chuckled “Well when you own everything, there’s no need to come into work every day”

Her eyes widened “Y-You own the law firm?”

He nodded “Well, half of it” he turned to you and stuck his hand out “Steve Rogers”

You reached out and shook his hand “Y/N L/N” you let out a nervous smile before seeing the elevator doors open as he walked out with you

“How are you getting home?” He turned to face you again

“Um, probably just going to take the train or something”

He frowned “It’s pretty late. It’s dangerous for a pretty thing like you to be taking the train. Why don’t I take you home?”

You shook your head “N-No, that’s alright Mr. Rogers I do this every day it’s completely fine”

“Every day? This city is dangerous and you take the train at night alone every day?!”

You opened your mouth to speak before he cut you off “That’s going to stop, I’m driving you home every night from now on”

Who were you to say no to that? “O-Okay”

He nodded and set a hand on the small of your back and led the both of you out of the building. He brought you over to his sleek black car which almost made your eyes bulge out of your head “This is yours?!”

He looked at you as he opened the passenger seat door for you “One of them” he smiled as you thanked him before getting in as he got in the driver's seat. You gave him your address as he pulled off.

You could feel your heart beating out of your chest, in pure disbelief that this was your life now. This doesn’t happen to girls like you. You just kept to yourself and let life pass you by a bit. Yes, you were successful and got your dream job, but you never caught anyone’s eye. You accepted the fact that you weren’t considered attractive, so when Mr. Rogers said you were pretty, you couldn’t help but think you were being pranked or that this was a bet or something.

“So, did you grow up here?” He glanced over at you before looking back at the road “Y-Yeah, in Brooklyn” you looked over at him “No shit, me too” he smiled “Do you like working at the firm?”

You nodded enthusiastically “Yes, it’s been wonderful. I’ve always wanted to be a lawyer so working at one of the best, it’s like a dream come true”

He smirked a bit “Well, we only hire the best, so you obviously did everything right”

You felt your cheeks heat up and smiled to yourself “Th-thank you”

He nodded and took one of his hands off the wheel, setting it against the open window “Have anyone waiting for you at home?”

Young and In Love

College!Stucky x black!reader

Summary: Being in love with Steve and Bucky during your college years

Warnings: mentions of violence

A/N: AHHHH I always wanted to write about Stucky because come on, why have one when you can have both? hope you enjoy!!

Word Count: 532

You met at a party you were dragged to by your roommate when her friends bailed on her

You were a sophomore and they were seniors which always made you feel a bit insecure because you felt inexperienced compared to them, but they always assured you that you set the pace in the relationship and they’re going to follow your lead

One or both (mainly both) always walk with you to class, even if it was across campus from where they needed to be

You always go to their apartment on the weekends but stay at your dorm during the week so you can get to class easier

They help you study when they can even if they haven’t taken the class before

They’re not allowed to study with you for finals because they always distract you so you send them away until finals week is over, but they do text you words of encouragement which help keep you motivated

They all have a date night every other Saturday and the person who chooses what they do is in rotation starting with you, then Bucky, then Steve. It keeps things interesting and also exposes you all to things that you end up liking

They’re both super protective but in different ways. Steve is more about making sure you’re okay if someone is giving you a hard time, pulling you away just to sit and talk, wiping your tears if you need him to, Bucky on the other hand won’t hesitate to resort to violence if he needs to. A guy once grabbed your ass when you were at a club which led to Bucky leading him outside to an alley and beating the literal shit out of them. Thankfully you ran out and stopped him before he could put the guy in the hospital.

It was kinda hot to you but you didn’t want him to himself in danger because of you and he simply replied “I’m always gonna protect you doll, no matter what”

When other girls flirt with either of them and you see it, you don’t say anything, just go up and take their hand, pulling them away. They don’t question it and just go with you, smiling to themselves

You steal all of their hoodies, like all of them. They were at their place one day and noticed so many of them were gone and were initially confused before realizing it was you that had taken them. They weren’t upset, quite the opposite. They thought it was adorable considering how short you were and how big they looked on you. When they stopped smelling like them that’s when you would give them back but would take them back once their scent was back

Overall they are madly in love with you and will do anything to ensure your happiness and safety. If their girl comes to them with a frown on her face then they’re determined to change that

If you’re feeling insecure about your appearance they’ll tell you why every part of you is gorgeous which usually leads to you crying a little

Steve and Bucky are down bad for their girl, and the feeling is mutual.

The topic came up when you and Bucky were cuddling in your bed after putting Logan to sleep, the young boy making Bucky read him three stories before he did. You had your head resting on Bucky’s broad, firm chest, listening to his steady heartbeat as he rubbed your back. You loved when he held you like this, feeling safe and protected. You let out a happy sigh and smiled to yourself as you heard him speak up

“I wanna stay here forever” he mumbled yet you heard every word loud and clear. You looked up at him with his hand going to play with your newly done braids. “Well, why don’t you?” You sat up a bit more to look at him.

“What do you mean doll?” He pulled you closer to him, having you almost sitting on his lap

“I mean, you’re here all the time, you only go back to your own place to get new clothes” you held onto his bicep

“Oh, I’m sorry. Do you want me to visit less?” He frowned a bit

You shook your head “No” you let out a slight chuckle “I want you to move in. We’ve been together for a while now and I love when you’re around and helping with Logan, I want you to move in” you ran a hand through his hair and gave him a hopeful look, hoping you didn’t freak him out or have him think you were going too fast in your relationship.

Bucky’s lips pulled into a wide smile “Of course I wanna move in sweetheart” he pecked your lips “A chance to be with you and Logan all the time? Waking up next to you every morning and sleeping beside you every night? Hell yeah I’m gonna move in” you squealed a little and pulled him into a tight hug, pressing kisses to his cheek as he chuckled, turning his head to connect his lips with yours.

I had a free afternoon today !!! AND !! i watch the first 2 Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies !! SO the first one was i think okay, i hated every single character except for Franklin (i THINK that’s his name, i have a really bad memory) and I thought he was going to be a survivor with his sister, specially cause of the intro and how much it focused on him — VERY disappointed he wasn’t — speaking of his sister WOW she annoyed sm sksksks specially the ending with the constant screaming !! (Ig it is a 70s movie and you know how well they write women but still !! My ears were ringing) BUT !!! HOLY SHIT IS LEATHERFACE FAST SKSKSKKSS what the heck, hes got the zoomies i was genuinely shocked when he grabbed the red shorts girl — i wanna say Pam — in less than a second, i enjoyed but i think maybe the reboot will be better (just so the characters are more fleshed out, cause they started dying too fast)

NOW — THE SEQUEL — ALRIGHT i was so confused the entire time sksksksk but in a good way (like ive never done drugs but thats what i imagine being high feels like) I did really enjoy it but WERE THEY BRINGING PPL BACK FROM THE DEAD ??? WAS THAT HIS BROTHER THAT GOT RUN OVER BY A TRUCK ????? HOW ???? Stretch was fun and had more personality (to say she had one at least) and she was a little smarter but yeah definitely some Gale Weathers shit like girlie is this story really worth it ???? I did enjoy her trying to get through Leatherface (who’s named Bubba ??? 🥺🥺🥺🥺) and him actually wanting to help her, in his weird little way 🥺 OH THE COP ???? Words most useless cop in a horror movie I’ve seen since Dewey in scream 1 (sorry baby but all he did was get stabbed in the back 😩) over all pretty good fever dream of a movie !!

Do you think i should watch the next two or the 2000s reboot ?? (Also sorry for the words longest ask sksksks)

Yep! The corpse is Nubbins aka the brother that got ran over! Which is Chop Top's (Guy with the plates) twin brother. That's why he's constantly carrying him around. I don't think anyone was brought to life they're just mentally deranged and think they're alive when they're not but...I got questions about Grandpa...Like, out of everything he unnerved me the most when his face came into view all I could think of was NO! ANYTHING BUT GRANDPA!! 😨😭😱

I told u it's like a horror comedy for sure ☠️ Them putting the hammer in grandpas old decrepit hand just for him to hit Bubba instead ☠️☠️☠️ And all I could think of when Stretch and Chop Top were biting, slapping each other is "Oh no, the girls are fighting-"

First one isn't my fav either it was scary for the time but the entire cast, especially Sally and Franklin HATED each other behind the scenes. Constant arguing, in Texas heat with no AC and Leatherface actually ended up cutting Sally's finger for real bc they were so irritated with the blood pump not working so her screaming might be for real bc if I was tied up and these low budget movie producers and director cut my finger for real I'd think WTF 😬

Definitely watch the remakes they are grittier and more gorey but I liked the cast more. I would watch the prequel first (The beginning made in 2006) and then the remake (2003)

Digimon Adventure Shipping Masterpost - Part 4

Hey, it’s been awhile, hasn’t? 

I haven’t forgotten this series, I’ve just been busy.

T.K. x Kari ( Takari )

Pros: They’re almost cannon. It’s never confirmed but it’s very obvious through out season two that T.K. at least is in love with Kari. Nothing ever comes from it, but it’s there.  If you like slow burn childhood friends become lovers then this has got you covered. They’re also very protective of one another, and being both the youngest and the longest running digidestined they have a unique shared experience that brings them closer. It’s also fairly drama free.  They’re also the second most popular ship next to Taisora, followed close behind by Taito. They’re also easily the most popular 02 ship, so you’re never lacking for content. 

Cons: They’re kind of boring. Yeah, they’re both generically nice and care about one another but what else? How do they help each other grow and change? Where’s the story?  T.K. and Kari are far more interesting characters when you pair them with anyone but each other, because with other characters there’s more push and pull. Even as friends who tease each other, like in Tri, they’re more interesting when pair platonically as well. 

Personal Ranking (4/10) Yeah, count me as one of the ones who finds this ship dull. I kind of understand where people are coming from when they do ship them, but I also don’t. Other then being ‘cute’, what else is there to them? But I suppose with shipping you don't need to be more than just ‘cute’.  

T.K. x Davis ( Daikeru )

Pros: Rivals to lovers lite. As in they’re technically rivals, but they’re also so laid back and quick to move on that they lack the usual tension and aggression that classic rivals to lovers exhibit. That actually makes them kind of unique and interesting, and helps them to stand out from Taito. 

Cons: If you’re looking for that tension and pining that comes from the standard rivals to lovers trope than this ship isn’t for you. In fact T.K. can’t seemed to bothered with Davis one way or the other most of the time. They mostly hang out together because they have to work together to save the world and have mutual friends, and that’s like it. 

Personal Ranking (5/10) I like it better than Takari but that’s mostly on the strength of Davis being my fav 02 character. Davis can make anything entertaining, but there’s better ships for both of them. 

T.K. x Yolei ( Miyakeru )

Pros It’s the chill dude with the hyperactive assertive girl friend trope. They’re good friends and close in age and get along well with each other. It’s also a cute pairing of the spares route if you prefer Daikari, Kenkari, or even Daiken.

Cons They don’t really show much interest in one another, as they both have canon love interests already, and they’re never shown just hanging out one on one.

Personal Ranking (5/10) You know what, I can kind of see it. It’s not the most interesting ship for these two but there’s room there to explore. 

T.K. x Cody ( Takori )

Pros They are best friends. No, I mean it. They don’t start out that way, but over the course of the show, after the ‘partners arc’ they do become besties. It’s kind of a shame that the series doesn’t explore their friendship more because they have a pretty unique relationship dynamic that no other duo in the show has. So of course if you like best friends to lovers slow burn then this can be a gay option for those of you who aren’t Takari fans.

Cons It’s that lack of exploration that can kill this ship. They don’t hang out one on one enough and the ‘partners arc’ comes a little too late in the season to make as much of an impact as it should. 

Personal Ranking (4/10) This is one of the better Cody ships. Not only is there more interaction between the two characters but they’re also much closer in age, with only like a two to three years difference. (Guys, Cody only skipped one grade, he’s not that young. Please stop babifying him just because he’s short) That said, I do think that their friendship is more interesting than a same old, same old romantic pairing.  

T.K. x Ken ( Kenkeru )

Pros Ok, now this is a classic enemies to lovers trope if you’re into that. Best of all, they’re on equal footing through out their rivalry, so it doesn’t have the more toxic undertones that the trope can fall into on occasion.   

Cons They don’t get a whole lot of one on one interaction. I mean it’s there, they certainly have their moments, but after Ken’s redemption it’s like they never hang out just as buddies. 

Personal Ranking (6/10) I’m normally not a fan of enemies to lovers, but I can get down with this ship because there’s a more healthy level of respect. For once it’s not the hero who is an insecure doormat and the villain isn’t coddled by them. 

T.K. x Willis ( Taklace )

Pros Uh... T.K. met Willis first... I guess? They also share some parallels having both ‘lost’ their digimon, and T.K. was the one to cheer Willis up when Kokomon ‘dies’. So there’s that. 

Cons They barely have any scenes together. Also Willis is kind of a bland character, not going to lie. 

Personal Ranking (3/10) Umm... well, I don’t hate it. It’s just there. It’s a thing that exists. 

T.K. x  Catherine ( Catkeru )

Pros T.K. does openly flirt with her and even gives her a kiss on the cheek. 

Cons Just like with Taicat, there’s really nothing much to Catherine’s character. She’s just there to be flirted at and fought over by the boys. 

Personal Ranking (3/10) Eh...it’s pretty much the same level as Taklace. Willis may have more personality than Catherine, but she and T.K. share more screen time so it’s one to one really. 

T.K. x Jun ( Takjun ) 

Pros This ship is freaken’ hilarious and more people need to realize it’s exitance. The basic premise is that T.K. realizes that his brother is a moron for dumping such a hot babe and basically steals Matt’s ex right out from under his nose. Everyone proceeds to freak the fuck out from there.  What I love so much about it, is that it’s 100% in character; especially after Tri. T.K. is a flirt and a serial ladies man post 02. He’s also the type of guy who loves to stir shit up and then sit back and watch the chaos unfold around him with an innocent smile. Meanwhile Jun herself is chaos incarnate, so they’re perfect for each other really . 

Cons While they do know each other and have certainty met more than once, they don't really share any conversations on screen; which is more the pity. (Jun really, really should have been a digidested, guys.) 

Personal Ranking (7/10) This probably my fav T.K. ship just for the above premise. It’s gloriously hammy and pure fun. 

T.K. x Meiko ( Meikeru )

Pros T.K., being the huge flirt that he is, expresses attraction to Meiko several times through out Tri. So there is a basis for which a more serious ship can grow. Meiko is also the only ‘shy’ girl in the whole series so she fulfills a dynamic here that you couldn’t get from any other het ship in the show. 

Cons If you don’t like Meiko then this won’t appeal to you. It also feels like Takari lite at times, even if Kari herself is more assertive then Meiko.

Personal Ranking (6/10) Out of all the het ships with Meiko, I might like this one the most. There’s a tiny bit of wish fulfilment when the super confident ladies’ man goes after the geeky wallflower. It also helps that T.K. doesn’t coddle her like everyone else at times. 

Kari x Davis ( Daikari ) 

Pros Davis really, really likes her. Also, Kari never outrights dismisses his affections, and if she is uncomfortable with something, she tells him so. It’s a cute ‘friend tries hard to get other friend to notice that they like them’ trope, while still keeping up healthy boundaries.  But more importantly it’s the one Kari ship that actually encourages Kari to grow as a character. When she’s paired with Davis in the series she’s allowed to be something other then just ‘little miss perfect’ or ‘damsel in distress’. She can be annoyed, snarky, even petty at times. She comfortable enough around Davis to express herself even if her emotions aren’t always pleasant, and it’s so refreshing to watch. 

Cons I mean if you hate the ‘guy hopelessly chases after girl’ trope then yeah, you won't like this. Kari never rejects him to his face, but she also doesn’t ever return his feelings either. She’s pretty neutral through out, either remaining oblivious most of the time or just choosing not to react at all to Davis’s more overt advances. 

Personal Ranking (9/10) This is my second favorite ship in the series right behind Jyoumi. Davis is my fav character in 02 and so I do root for him to get the girl. But I also just really like it when Kari is humanized by the narrative and not made into a digital Jesus. It’s when she’s with Davis that she finally feels like a real person and not an aloof, all-knowing goddess.

Kari x Yolei ( Miyakari )

Pros This is the only potential lesbian ship in 02 that gets any real screen time. They’re also best friends and ‘opposites attract’ topes if you like those. 

Cons They’re also the only strong female friendship in 02 as well, especially since Mimi was shipped off to New York during this season. (Seriously, who’s stupid idea was that?) I totally get it if you prefer to keep them as friends and go with one of the less obvious femslash pairings instead. 

Personal Ranking (5/10) It’s not bad, but there’s better ships out there for them. 

Kari x Cody ( Kariori ) 

Pros If you like ‘birds of a feather’ tropes then this is your bag. Both Kari and Cody are very similar archetypes; introverted, serious, the voices of reason, and probably suffer from PSTD given all the shit they’ve both been through.  

Cons They might be too much alike, honestly. There’s no contrast for them to really bounce off of, which is why they rarely hang out together outside of group scenes. 

Personal Ranking (3/10) In terms of age gaps it’s no different then Takori, but there’s less of an on screen connection between them. 

Kari x Ken ( Kenkari ) 

Pros There’s a lot of interesting parallels between them. Ken pretty much functions as a darker version of Kari’s story. As such, they do hold a special connection and Kari can reach out to Ken in a way that no one else is able to.  There’s also the ever present ‘enemies to lovers’ trope if you want to go that route. 

Cons The series never fully explores the parallels that it sets up. Outside of an episode or two, Ken and Kari rarely interact. As such the pairing can come across as very flat. 

Personal Ranking (5/10) Eh, I can take it or leave it. It has potential but it’s very undercooked, IMO.  

Kari x Willis ( Wakari ) 

Pros Willis kisses her once.... that’s pretty much it. 

Cons Willis kisses her once.... and that’s pretty much it. 

Personal Ranking (2/10) What else is there to say? Willis himself is boring and he barely interacts with Kari. Him kissing her was more about making Davis and T.K. jealous anyways. 

Kari x Jun ( Junkari ) 

Pros This here because Takjun made it onto the list and it’s only fair to have the gay equivalent. There’s also a lot of freedom to explore given that their canon dynamic is left open ended. All we know is that Kari sticks up for Jun when Davis talks about her behind her back, but Jun is not around to see it so... 

Cons There’s no canon interaction. We only know that they know each other because of Davis. 

Personal Ranking (4/10) It lacks the comedic potential of other Jun ships and can come across as Miyakari lite. Still, I can see how they could work as supportive girlfriends. 

Kari x Meiko ( MeiKari )

Pros They get some cute scenes together in Tri, they’re both the introverts of the group, and it’s more queer rep. It’s also a bit of a role reversal for Kari to be protective of someone else instead of being ‘the moe’ herself. 

Cons They might be too similar. Kari isn’t shy like Meiko is, but she is pretty quite and soft spoken most of the time. 

Personal Rankings (4/10) Just like with Takari, it’s ‘cute’, but what else is there?

I love to respond to comments! I love getting them and engaging with readers always makes me happy! It also allows me to share my thoughts and/or reasons behind choices or explain myself further on something I wrote.

6. What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

Uhhh, I technically haven't ever finished a fic... 😅 I have a couple one shots that are heavy angst (In Search of Life and my entire whumptober 2021 series so far), but I'd have to say that my angstiest thing I'm calling "done" is my day 1 whumptober fic, which is chapter 1 of Hope is a Bloody Battlefield. In general, though, I prefer to write happy or neutral endings to long fics (not to say I won't ever write a tragedy 😈)

7. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've ever written?

I don't think I've technically written an actual crossover. Like, where characters from one thing encounter characters from another thing. I have done AUs where I take lore or concepts from one thing and apply them to another or have planned fics that are technically crossovers for my own AUs or fics. I do plan on eventually doing one or two actual crossovers though!

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I have, one time back, like, last year? 2 years ago, maybe? It was a comment basically saying that they didn't understand why the fic was getting so much attention and that it wasn't that great, but "a good first try" (that particular phrase has stuck with me).

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do not write smut and probably never will. I'm incredibly ace and personally don't see the point of it, but of course, all the power to you if you do write it!

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I sure hope not.

11. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Hell fucking yeah I have! LotRO, my longest fic, is being co-written with my dear friend @deleriousfromcoffee. I'm also co-writing fics with @wolf-pearl, @birdsfortheboobourgeoisie, and @emrald-writes currently and am always open for more!

12. What's your all-time favorite ship?

Fuck, dude. Do I have to answer this? I kinda don't typically choose fav ships in fandom because I prefer to write and read gen fic, but, right now? I'd say Zakkura.

13. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

On AO3? It was SDS (Seven Deadly Sins), an anime that I loved back in high school. If you wanna get real technical about it, though, it would be Pokemon when I did messageboard-based RPs back when I was, like, 10.

14. What's your favorite fic you've written?

That sure is a hard one, tbh. I've poured my heart and soul and, like, 2 and a half years into LotRO with RR (and so very many hours), but I love so many of my fics, both published and WiPs. Can I say my favorite AU? Because, right now, it's Glory AU (though my Calamity Cloud and Cetra Cloud AUs are right behind it).

Okay so IV been dithering over this because there is no right way to ask this w/o it sounding wrong and I’m promise this isn’t me being weird and anyways I can only write this while my eyes r dilated (4 courage) so I apologize for any misspelling s anyways I needed to ask u the size of Kei’s chest and I swear I’m not being weird I am but a poor hobby artist... also on that note any distinctive scars/characteristics, specifically on arms, ankles, back, stomach, and face? Hair color undertones? I know Tomo-chan has some nice blues I like to add to hers’, what do u think about Kei’s hair?? While I’m at it fav colors, 👁 color, moles, muscles, etc.? I’m going for a honu theme but I’m game to try and add cranes or bubbles or smth if I can

On that note I don’t like need specifically her three sizes or even an A/B/C/D # like no need to be specific just like I need a ballpark here cause I was starting flat but then I started panicking because I’m like oh yeah she’s a girl- not that she never came across as one! Uh. Okay, let’s go for the full breakdown.

Height (adult): 5′8″, is generally the tallest of her team until the boys shoot past her around fourteen.

Build: Athletic with a small bust, relatively wide hips and wide shoulders.

Hair: Black, but with either a brown (in CYB) or blue undertone (in Dig Two Graves and OSF art, mostly).

Eyes: Extremely dark brown, taken as black at first glance. She has noticeable shadows under her eyes starting from age eight.

Kei has a mole under the outer corner of her left eye, which shows up in any piece of art with her face. 

She has several major scars:

The scar on her face, which runs diagonally from her right eyebrow and over her nose and terminates in the middle of her left cheek. 

She has nicks and shallow scars along her hands, mostly from sword practice. They’re mostly invisible by adulthood.

Post-Sorayama arc, Kei has a scar just to the right side of her heart, which has a matching exit wound on her back where Kusanagi impaled her. 

She has notable tattoos from age 18 onward:

Her left arm has a full sleeve tattoo depicting an artistic render of Tsuruya flying above Isobu. 

She has a Flying Thunder God Seal on her left collarbone, which allows Minato to teleport directly to her in an emergency. 

When she uses Isobu’s chakra, her jinchūriki seal is visible in the middle of her chest.

hihi! very random question, but i was wondering if you played genshin impact considering some of the art on your blog, and if yes, which of the current regions/characters are your favourites?

At the time I got this question, I was running back and forth across Liyue and Mondstadt killing mutant flowers for their loot drops. So, yes, you could say I play. XD

I won't go as far as to say that I'm *good* at the game, but I haven't had a full party wipe since the first time I fought the Snow Boar King.

Favorite Region: Liyue, especially around Jueyun Karst.

Favorite Characters: I mean, anyone on my team! My main team has a rotating roster (like in my Pokemon games), mostly of level 60 characters at this point. It's not especially efficient, but I like to keep my options open.

Except for archers. I am garbage at archery.

Main (level 60-70): Diluc, Bennett, Rosaria, Kaeya, Beidou, Sucrose

Secondaries (level 40-50): Ningguang, Noelle, Barbara, Tartaglia (juuuust barely)

I think if I was to have to point out who I main, it'd be Diluc or Rosaria. Diluc for being able to spam his elemental skill, and Rosaria for hit-and-run skills and also being two constellations in.

Decided to make the whites of his eyes dark to fit the aesthetic better, as well as changing the tone of his skin from orc-green to a lighter and more blueish tone, and I changed up the orientation of the fins on his ears to fit the designs of marids in 5e. Oceanus also has slightly nerfed version of a marid’s teeth, with one fang showing here.

The braids are a result of being taken in by Alena’s family, and the painted nails specifically happened because of her and her younger sister. The clothes in general are more like something Khalil would dig out of his closet, if in duller tones. The pants are short, the sleeves are split, and the sandals exist because Oceanus has fins on all four limbs and his head, all of which don’t fit super well into more restrictive wardrobe choices.

Despite his very skinny build and lack of armor, I slapped the symbol of Kord (the D&D deity) on the amulet, because this edition of Oceanus is a Tempest Cleric. He’s actually got a capped Constitution and Wisdom score, and his Charisma is a whopping 7.

(I also swapped acid resistance out for cold resistance because frankly I don’t care for the former and being resistant to freezing to death suits him better.)

Fandom(s): Mostly I’m hayffie exclusive those days. I’m hoping to go back to Lucifer. I kinda want to have a rewatch and hopefully find my love back for this show that S3 has detroyed... I loved writing fics for this pairing. I’m also anxiously waiting for the 6oC adaptation because I’ve hold off writing kanej fanfics for now but... I love them so much I’m not sure I will be able to resist the show. I am also currently obsessed with Phryne/Jack from Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries but not writing just stalking ao3.

Where You Post: Ellana-san in on fanfiction.net, EllanaSan on AO3 and ellanainthetardis on tumblr. I don’t post anywhere else and if you see my fic elsewhere it’s like been stolen. yes it has happened before. No it’s not fun.

Most Popular One-Shot: On ff, it’s a HP called The Shadow Of Death. It’s a time travel Severus & Harry mentor story I actually was quite proud of at the time. On AO3 it’s a Lucifer story called Redeeming The Devil in which Charlotte/Mom goes after Chloe and Lucifer has to step in so basically devil reveal and all of that. I think it’s one of my fav I wrote for this fandom.

Most Popular Multi-Chapter Story: On ff, according to the stats, it’s Have a Drink Sweetheart but since it’s a collection of one shots I think that doesn’t really count so the next one is “Les Cicatrices du Temps” which is probably the one I’m most known for on the French side of things. It’s a HP story, again with time travel and again with Severus & Harry mentor, and it’s actually part of a trilogy. I haven’t finished part 3 yet but I don’t despair haha.

On AO3 it’s Invictus which is a hayffie story that explore a canon au in which Haymitch’s family never died, forcing him to become the puppet rather than the example. I’m not sure it’s the longest thing I’ve ever written because of the trilogy I just mentioned but it’s the longest in one setting and I’m proud of having finished it. It took a lot of work, an amazing beta, and it was a huge part of my life at one point because it covered I think... close to two years?

Favorite Story You Wrote: It’s difficult to choose because it depends of fandoms. For HP, I would say the Cicatrices trilogy for sure. For Hayffie... It’s so haaard to choose. I think it would be a tie between Invictus, Into That Good Night and April Showers for very different reasons. Invictus because of the commitment it took and also because, as I said, I associated to a specific time in my life. April Showers because I really enjoyed being able to explore post MJ in a more psychological way and it allowed me to explore more characters. I may or may not have fallen a bit truly in love with everlark while writing that one actually. And Into that Good Night because it was so out there, so full of self-indulging angst - like Haymitch being forced to kneel and beg - that I don’t think I would have ever written it if I hadn’t been in an angsty place myself and needed an out. But I’m happy with out it turned out and I don’t know... That one I do have a lot of tender feelings for, I guess.

How You Choose Your Titles: There’s no methods for me. Either I will take it directly from the work or I will try to find something like a theme in the work or I will look up quotes or I will look up songs... I don’t have a specific go-to method.

Complete: stories? I’m not sure how to see that. Everything is on ff and they say I’ve published 188 stories... I know I have two WIPs in SG and HP, 1 probably abandoned in hayffie, 2 currently being posted, HADS though that doesn’t really count does it? One Buffy I never closed but it’s also a os collection... Honestly I have no clue I would say 183? In those waters. I thought it was more haha. Though, I guess if you take HADS alone... XD HADS frightenes me okay? I try not to look at the number of chapters.

Incomplete: Well... There is part 3 of that HP trilogy I have been neglecting for a while. One chaptered story in Stargate I gave up on. The Speed Finding Soulmate story in hayffie I gave up on too although I think about that one often and never say never I might revisit it one day. And obviously the two currently being posted When It Rains It Pours and Katniss The Vampire Slayer.

I always try to have the finished product before posting because I hate WIPs. In the case of the Speed Finding Soulmate story for instance it was supposed to be a one shot and then I added more and more but if I had thought it through, I would have writtten the whole thing first. I have unfortunately a respectable WIP folder XD

If I can’t have the whole thing finished, like KTVS for instance, I try to be comfortably ahead so I never run out of chapters and I can keep a steady schedule.

Basically if I can’t keep to a posting schedule it stresses me out. If I don’t have the next chapter ready, it stresses me out because I don’t want to let anyone down. So... Yeah. I like having everything done before posting.

Which doesn’t answer the question I realize... So incomplete work, not counting os collections, I think might have 5 (2 of which are actually being posted but finished or ahead enough).

Do You Outline?: Never if I can help it. If I write down or break down a story, I will lose the will because it’s all there black on white. If the story is big or complicated I will take notes on a notebook and, maybe, maybe a loose list of events but mostly my way of writing is forge ahead and figure it out as you go. Mostly, the stories write themselves I just type. Everything ends up making sense by itself.

Coming Soon/Not Yet Started: Well, I did finish E10 of KTVS so you know that’s good haha. I plan on writing E11 soonish. Right now I’m kind of in a writing slump of sorts. I should be finished the mind wipe story but I’m a bit tempted by a modern au involving a certain tattoo artist and this former army man... There’s a lot I want to write tbh.

Do You Accept Prompts?: Yes but you have to not be afraid of waiting a long LONG times. I sometimes publish prompts that have been submitted years ago. XD I have a lot of prompts and I tend to write the one that inspire me most but I do try to post the chronologically older ones first.

Upcoming Story You Are Most Excited To Write: Well.. there is this idea of a tattoo artist Effie. It would be cute mostly I don’t think lots of conflict. Also the mind wipe story which I was working on before the crack happened, which is basically an au in which they experimented on Effie during MJ and wiped her mind clean so she doesn’t remember anything at all. And there are a few others wips in my folder that might be cool to revisit so idk. I’m telling you right now I haven’t written in 3 days I’m angsty to start again but I’m not sure what to tackle. I want a a tiny break with KTVS before attacking E11...  OH and there’s also a modern au inspired by a prompt about effie ptsd in a modern setting that I thikn would also take chapters but basically I was thinking bodyguard au and YEAH. Lots of angst.

Riverdale Rewatch Review - Season One

Hey guys! So, as everyone knows, there’s like, this big thing happening in the world right now causing everyone to have to stay inside and a lot of people have way more free time on their hands than they know what to do with. I am one of those people. After I finish my schoolwork I find that barely even half a day has passed. What do I fill that time with? Animal Crossing. But also, watching Netflix. 

I’ve wanted to rewatch Riverdale for the longest time, and I figure that now is the best time to do it. 

So, the way this will work, I’ll give my overall thoughts and review of the season, my favorite episodes, and then I’m going to give you a play-by-play of my thoughts while rewatching each episode under the break. So, without further ado:

Overall Review

Looking at the bigger picture of everything I know Riverdale has come to be, I think the statement stands true that Season One is one of their strongest season, if not their actual strongest (Season Four has been climbing up there for me in fav seasons). 

Watching it all together, the drama seemed evenly paced, and everyone seemed to get the same amount of screen time, including characters we barely see anymore like Kevin and Reggie. There are some interesting shots, and I found myself jammin to some of the songs they had the characters sing as well as the background music. 

It was clear that they had a plan, and they knew where they were going. Hints of relationships happened WAY before they became official, and it seemed like everyone was on the same page, which is difficult to say for later seasons (which I will also be making reviews on shortly). 

For only having 13 episodes, Riverdale did an excellent job in it’s first season hooking everyone in to the drama and the mystery, including me. I believe it was after the second or third episode when this blog was created, and I’ve been here ever since. This season is responsible for why a lot of fans stuck around, and for why a lot of fans left. 

Overall, I would say it had amazing storytelling, character development, cinematic techniques, and everything else you could think of. My final rating would be a 10/10. Even if you don’t like later seasons, you can’t deny this one was really good, and had a lot of classic Riverdale moments -insert gif of Jughead saying “I’m a weirdo” here bc I tried to find it but couldn’t-.

Rewatch Thoughts

Episode 1: 

It’s so clear right from the start that Veronica likes Archie oh my god

I love Betty Cooper dance parties and I want more of them

Wow I hate Alice from the very beginning

Fred Andrews was the best parent on Riverdale from the very beginning. Period.

Maybe the show is more consistent than I thought. Archie was dumb since season one episode one for lying to his dad. 

Veronica was so supportive of Betty and Archie we stan a supportive friend

Oh my god did we all collectively forget that Archie dated a freaking TEACHER?!

JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS MY HEART I love and miss them 

Jughead was such a broody lil boy wasn’t he oh my gosh Betty really did change him for the better didn’t she

“Whatever happened with Betty, just talk to her. It’ll go a long way” We stan a king who wants open communication from the beginning yas Jughead

Episode 2: 

God, the teacher is so manipulative

Oh god i’m gonna have to relive the dark Betty arc aren’t I

This rewatch is just gonna further my love for Jughead. He was the smartest one since day one

Episode 3: 

there was a mention of Greendale in the VERY FIRST SEASON 

The only good thing Penelope Blossom ever did was punch Alice Cooper and that’s that on that

I love the early journalism relationship between Betty and Jughead

Ya’ll I miss jughead narrating at the beginning and end of every episode

THE TWILIGHT DRIVE IN. I MADE SO MANY FANFICTIONS SET THERE AWH

Jug was so upset over the drive in my HEART. Jughead had a JOB. Am I the only one who forgot that? 

He called her Betts and she called him Juggy their already in a relationship let’s face it. 

“It’s like my home” AWH JUG IT WAS HIS HOME MY HEART

Ya’ll remember how INSANE the reveal of Jughead’s dad was?

General Questions

Looking back, did you write more fics than you thought you would this year, less than you thought, or about what you predicted?

I feel like kind of less than I thought. I had plans for two others but then Actions took over and I know myself well enough to know if I didn’t finish it first, I never would. So I’m gonna take a short break to catch up on like, life >.> And then start back up again starting with a long overdue birthday present. Hopefully I can write more in 2020 \o/

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted last year?

HAHAHA Uh, I only wrote Sterek and I knew I would only write Sterek so I guess I knew all along? Man, I write too much Sterek... 

What’s your favorite story this year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you the happiest.

Probably It Was a Wednesday. I mean, it was super SAD, and I was AWFUL to poor Stiles, but idk, I don’t write Derek’s POV very much, and I kind of liked having Derek be the one to save someone else for once. And I liked that he was the only one who could truly understand what Stiles had gone through compared to everyone else. It was also nice being able to write a fic where it showcases the pack can’t survive without Stiles because once he disappeared, the pack fell apart, and my honest opinion is that that is 100% what would happen. Without Stiles, the pack can’t function and begins to fracture, so it was fun writing them coming back together around him when he returned.

From 2019, What Fresh Twilight Bullshit is This? To be fair, it’s like, 116k words longer than my next longest fic of 2019 so I feel like that’s an unfair comparison lol.

Story most underappreciated by the universe?

I say It Was a Wednesday -slams hands on desk- But I’m biased because it’s my fav from 2019 >.> But it’s number 5 kudos-wise for 2019! I think it’s the angst. The first four are all more fluffy (Except Twilight, but it has an equal amount of fluff and angst). I guess my real self is coming out. SURPRISE! I am an Angst Queen >.>

Story that could have been better?

Be Still My Heart (My Neighbour’s a Bitch and You’re Beating Too Loud). Honestly, not super happy with that fic, but I wrote it for personal reasons. To copy/paste so as not to repeat myself: 

(As of October 2019) So basically, Stiles is currently me. I have had a neighbour complaining about me for literally 31 months (which, for people bad at math like me, is OVER two years) and they are literally ruining my life. I have massive anxiety every time I do anything, INCLUDING SLEEP, and I basically cannot live my life in any capacity. The building manager is really nice to me, but the property manager is pretty much useless and the complaints continue to come during times where I am literally passed out in bed. In light of that, I wrote this fic because by God, I needed some fucking happy in my life over a situation I have no control over. Is Derek in the wrong? I mean, yeah, I never say he's not. Did Stiles suffer? Of course he did. But you know what? He got a happy ending, because turns out his anxiety was due to a poor decision on Derek's part, and he felt terrible about it. I don't get a happy ending, I get constant anxiety and apologetic texts from the building manager because it's his job to tell me he knows I'm sleeping but lady is still complaining. So given I wrote this to make myself feel better, and I decided to share it with you, do me a favour and instead of making me feel worse by telling me how horrible I am and how shitty Derek is, just hit the red X in the corner instead and you can avoid having to look at this fic again. People write things for various reasons, it'd be real great if there was a bit more understanding and a bit less attacks in the world. You don't know why someone wrote something or what's going on with the person on the other end of the computer screen. So just click the X if you hated this fic and thought Derek was a dick to Stiles. I know he was, but Stiles at least gets to live his life anxiety-free because the building manager was in love with him. I get to go cry in the shower every night.

Hardest story to write?

Actions Speak Louder Than Words, hands down. I love dialogue. Like, loooooooooooove dialogue, which is why writing fics with tons of texting make me supremely happy. And I decided, hey, what if I wrote a fic where one of the two main characters is cursed and can’t speak? What if I did that? And then what if I made it ALMOST 400k? WHAT IF I VERY SMARTLY DID THAT LIKE A VERY SMART PERSON? 

I’m lucky I’m still sane, tbh. 

Easiest/most fun story to write?

Okay, Business Skype can go here then. Because it was definitely the easiest, and also really fun :) 

Did any stories shift your perceptions of the characters?

I mean, kind of It Was a Wednesday, I guess. Like I said above, it made me think about how the pack can’t function without Stiles, personally. So I’d say probably that one for that reason.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words. That thing was an asshole to me :( 

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them? I don’t think so? Unless writing really excessively long fics this year counts? Because I did two of those... And clearly, I learned nothing from that suffering.

To not take five months to write one fic... That’d be good |D Kinda wanna do another challenge, but don’t know what. I’ll think on it. If anyone has any challenge ideas, let me know :)

A HANDY DANDY GUIDE TO WRASSLIN

For the lovely, the wonderful, the incomparable @gideongrace​ , may I present: Daggs’ Guide to the Wild Ass World of Professional Wrestling! (and it’s goin’ behind a cut because It Got LONG!)

So, here is the things. Wrestling is STUPID. And great? And fun as hell! And the most carny sport to ever exist. But, also SUPER inside baseball a lot of the time just because it’s got such a long goddamn history that it can seem daunting to get into. Like I’ve only been back into it the last four or so years, so there’s a lot of history that I’ve missed! There’s also a whole lot of gate keeping, just like comics or video games. There’s also the bitter truth that a lot of people in the industry are absolute shitheels that should have been fired long ago (and I’ll only be vague about a lot of that). So, yeah. A WHOLE LOT.

First things first: HISTORY. There’s just so much. But, conveniently? You don’t need it. It can be fun if you end up really like wrestling, but contrary to what a bunch of middle-aged, racist, misogynist and WILDLY homophobic, White American Men will tell you, you don’t actually need it to enjoy yourself. If you DO want history, might I suggest the How2Wrestling podcast! It is a cheerful, lovely show hosted by two goddamn delightful humans, Kefin and Jo (who are also just wonderful people to interact with in general)! There is also the Comic Book Story of Professional Wrestling by Aubrey Sitterson and Chris Moreno, which is a great read! Wrestlesplania is another good show for history of the sport and the wrestlers! They’re definitely, uh, hornier, but v fun!

Secondly: On the subject of inside baseball, wrestling jargon is a whole thing. The ONLY part of wrestling history that is 100% important: it is a carny sport. Like, some side-show, vaudeville ass shit, yo. And it has never evolved from that, so there are a whole lot of terms used that are very specific to like... early 1900′s carnival culture. Here is a wikipedia article, but there’s also a wonderful How2Wrestling episode about it all! I’ll try not to use much!

Thirdly: We can’t talk about wrestling podcasts without mentioning Colt Cabana’s The Art of Wrestling. A lot of the archives are behind a paywall now, but the show is great. If you DO get into wrestling and start to find wrestlers you enjoy, I highly highly suggest checking to see if they’ve done an episode. Colt is a goddamn delight of a human, deserving of support and a great interviewer on top of it. Even if you just bookmark eps you’d wanna listen to and then start a free trial to marathon them all. (See also: the Colt Cabana & CM Punk lawsuit(s), in which Colt got royally fucked over.)

Fourthly: Nobodies Watching Wrestling. Drag Queens watching wrestling. That’s all you need to know. Even out of context, they’re goddamn delightful humans. Might I recommend this episode with EFFY, because I sometimes just watch it when I’m having a bad day.

Fifthly: Tights & Fights is a great weekly wrestling pod, and is how I keep up on a lot of things that I might not be watching. PLUS, diverse group of (wonderful) hosts: Hal Lublin, Daniel Radford, Lindsey Kelk, Open Mike Eagle, and producer Julien Burrell. They’re just great. And horny, at times, but in a charming and respectful way.

Now... The boring part. I’m just gonna get some of the popular company introductions out of the way, and then the fun part of So Many Match Suggestions at the bottom. But, business first! (The Big difference between Larger Companies and Independent Companies is that the big guys have a contracted roster of people who sometimes can work with other companies [unless they’re the WWE, who have exclusive contracts and still call their employees Independent Contractors so they don’t have to offer health insurance or a union], and indie guys contract people usually show-by-show. ALSO, there is intergender wrestling [men vs women, which does bother a lot of people. I do side with support of it, but I do totally get how it can be hard to watch] in indie shows, whereas there is NOT in 90% of the big companies.)

(And, honestly, if you wanna skip this part, you can, but if I don’t do it first, I’ll forget..)

AN OVERVIEW OF THE BIG PLAYERS

WWE - Here’s the thing. The WWE kinda... is a terrible capitalist bastard of a company, run by a morally bankrupt, egomaniacal, shitstain, roid-rage cryptkeeper of a man. And, if you want my personal opinion, RAW and Smackdown are both (currently) TERRIBLE shows, despite having some truly phenomenal talent. BUT, but. NXT (and NXT UK) is probably the best, like, weekly wrestling show (on TV, at least, but we’ll get there). The talent is INCREDIBLE, the storylines are less bad bananas, and they’ve adopted a LOT of the best indie talent lately (because they want to directly compete with AEW, but that’s a whole other thing). WWE programming is also the easiest to get a hold of because they are the longest running and basically Disney, so there are some full matches on YouTube, and Raw and NXT are available on Hulu. They are also releasing a lot of free stuff on the WWE Network that you can watch without signing up for a paid account, but there is a lot of stuff behind a pay wall.

Cons: Real Talk, run by a bunch of terrible people. Responsible for covering up a lot of truly reprehensible crimes for which no one was held accountable, despite being well documented. A blatant disregard for the (physical and mental) safety and/or financial security of a lot of their roster--specifically the people you don’t see on TV. (If you want some history, you can look through the past tweets of the New York 64 Tournament, but a lot of it turned my stomach, so I would not suggest, but it’s there if you have the same morbid curiosity that I did)

Pros: The company might be run by terrible people, but their roster is good. A lot of my top wrestlers do work for the WWE, sure, but they do hire a lot of decent humans that I sometimes feel bad about not supporting. Also, it is the dream of a lot of people to join WWE simply because of the prestige, the massive audience, and job security. I might hate Vince but I can’t begrudge any wrestler currently working for them.

NXT Pros: On the subject of rosters, NXT is LIT. But they have also stolen some of the best indie wrestlers recently: Mercedes Martinez and Jake Atlas, two of my All Time Favs. Both of whom deserve the world, because being openly gay in the wrestling industry is the pits.

All Elite Wrestling - AEW is a very new company, and they are my favourite of the big promotions. They are a company run by wrestlers, rather than a millionaire with a writing staff. I like the wrestling style(s) better, I was a huge fan of a lot of their roster before they hit TV last October, and I like not giving the McMahons money. The storylines are better, if only because they don’t have a writer’s room dictating scripts and such, and the characters are more fun (for me at least).

Easiest ways to watch for free: Their YouTube channel! There you can find a lot of highlights, behind the scenes, AEW Dark (the “dark” matches, or the non-televised matches from TV tapings), PPV pre-shows and a lot of stupid stuff.

Cons: A bit of an issue offering equal match time to the women’s roster the way they SAID they would at the start. A bit more violent of a style as a lot of the wrestlers came up death match style wrestling, or are from Japan/wrestled in Japan and typically wrestle “strong style” (wrestling style with less theatrics and known for Real Real Strikes that Hurt A Lot), which some people can find off-putting. Also, they hired Jake Hager, who is a real piece of shit.

Pros: Have a wonderfully diverse roster. Orange Cassidy. Sonny Kiss. Good storytelling. Jake The Snake Roberts doing Hella Promos. The Dark Order, who we affectionately refer to as the Spooky Perverts. Chris Jericho yelling at a Drone, and Matt Hardy being a wizard. A bunch of wrestlers who are married to other wrestlers who work for WWE, and good jokes are made.

BUT THE BIGGEST PRO-AEW THING I CAN PROVIDE: NYLA FUCKING ROSE. They didn’t make her the first women’s champion like they should have, but they put her in the first championship match on the FIRST episode of the weekly show, Dynamite, and she is now the CURRENT women’s champion. I don’t wanna make a big deal, only it is a BIG DEAL, because Nyla Fucking Rose is the first openly transgender wrestler signed to a major promotion, and if you think I didn’t fucking CRY LIKE A CHILD when she won, you’re wrong. So, yeah, a NATIONALLY TELEVISED WRESTLING PROGRAM’S CURRENT WOMEN’S CHAMPION IS A TRANSGENDER, FIRST NATIONS WOMAN. NYLA. FUCKING. ROSE.

As of right now, AEW seems to be done filming, which is both Very Smart and also heartbreaking, but you can find all the ways to watch over here on their site if it looks like fun!

WOW Women of Wrestling - Have you seen GLOW? This is a show created by the IRL creator of GLOW (the promotion the show is based on, not the show)! And it is? Incredible? The characters are fun and portrayed as superheroes, the stories are CAMP af, and the wrestling is GOOD. They’re a non-traditional show, which is fun. Their roster is made up of wrestlers playing different wrestlers. Wrestling is a bunch of super talented people playing characters while doing acrobatics. WOW gives us people playing characters, playing other characters, while also doing acrobatics.

Cons: All male announce team? On an all women’s show? Excuse? And also: Tessa Blanchard who is, it turns out, a great big racist. Also a little harder to get full episodes it seems.

Pros: Literally everything else.

Ring of Honor - For awhile ROH was handily competing with WWE. And then they weren’t. And then they got better. And then they got worse. And now, currently, they are a company that I hate supporting.

Cons: Run by assholes who don’t care about worker safety, and don’t put anything into the women’s division.

Pros: Sometimes they partner with New Japan Pro Wrestling. They’ve recently released a lot of goooood old matches including some Kevin Steen (currently WWE’s Kevin Owens) vs El Generico (definitely, 100% not at all, no way, no how, of course NOT WWE’s Sami Zayn [he is, this is another inside baseball joke that I’m just obligated to make every time I mention El Generico]) matches which are BRUTAL. Oh, and Dalton Castle:

Impact! - It’s back! I don’t watch it, but they DO have Rich Swann, so they can’t be bad. There is an entire history to Impact that is BANANAS. Like AEW, a bit more rough and tumble, scrappy death match folks, and I like a lot of the roster, like Taya Valkyrie, Jessika Havok and Sami Callihan. Not a bad show, but the full show weekly doesn’t hold my attention.

Cons: Tessa Blanchard, mostly. She is an incredible wrestler, her matches are good, but.

Pros: Pretty easy to watch, actually? I believe they’re still on Twitch, and they have an entire channel on Pluto TV.

New Japan Pro Wrestling - NJPW is GREAT. Definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. The shows are long, and strong style just... hurts. Like, a lot of wincing on my end. But the wrestling. Oh, lordy, the wrestling is incredible. But it is brutal. Strong Style wrestling is much different than the typical American style that you see in WWE, and a lot more grounded than high flying lucha styles. (Though a lot of wrestlers do travel to Mexico and train in lucha style wrestling (which I am the least familiar with), so currently there is a lot of the very high flying flippty dos and the absolutely brutal strikes that you see in strong style wrestling.)

Cons: Show/match length is typically long and there is A Lot to See. The only way I know to watch full shows is through their streaming service.

Pros: Just the whole thing, really. They release a free match on YouTube every Monday. Also, Toru Yano, the best wrestler in the world.

Indie Promotions that I know less about because I can afford only so many streaming services

Firstly, here is a Wiki list of wrestling streaming services. I’m gonna name a couple below, but the wiki page has a handy list of costs of the bigger ones because capitalism knows how to get you. (Personally, I only use IWTV at the moment. They’re a good company run by good people, and a lot of indie promotions would have died out without partnering with/support from them)

Beyond Wrestling - Beyond is My Favourite Promotion To Watch, Bar None. Their weekly show (when in season), Uncharted Territory, is fantastic. Diverse talent, diverse styles. They do have a lot of death matches, which can suck to watch if you aren’t into that sort of thing. I am, it turns out, into that sort of thing. But listening to interviews with a lot of death match wrestlers, specifically Jimmy Havoc, can help understand the w h y of it all! Available on IWTV.

Chikara - Chikara is So Fun! They are a (mostly) family friendly promotion and training school. Their shows are filled with young/newbie wrestlers as they learn the tricks. Run by Mike Quackenbush, who is a delightful person, BRILLIANT wrestler/trainer, and someone who is willing to take the safety of his people into account. He’s good people, who trains good people, and supports good people, and gives them a safe, open place to learn. It’s also very fun! A lot of comedy matches. Watch on: CHIKARAtopia or some of their archive is on IWTV.

EVE - An all-women promotion, providing a safe working and training environment for women and girls. They have put their foot in it on occasion, but they seem to still be good people. (I would recommend the Tights & Fights episode with founders Emily and Dann Read for a little backstory on the company, but not needed.) Ways to watch.

RIPTIDE - YO, RIPTIDE IS DOING THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SHIT. Cinematic wrestling, and it is great. The matches are good, the promos are good, the people are good. But the way they film it oh my god holy shit. When everything is a little less hectic, they are people I am definitely gonna support as much as I can. Watch here.

A Matter of Pride - Here’s the thing. They have put on some very good, inclusive shows. However, some serious allegations have come out about Rick Cataldo, who is involved with the company, and I think it’s important to mention. NOW THE FUN PART. THIS IS MY MOMENT. THIS IS THE ONLY PART THAT REALLY MATTERS.

So. The thing is. Wrestling is A Lot. SO, I’m gonna give you as wide a variety as I can! I’ll point out some fun people, some fun gimmicks and HOPEFULLY won’t completely turn you off! If you enjoy any of these, then the dumb stuff up above is useful!

First! The most important wrestling match of All Time. Invisible Man vs Invisible Stan. This is everything you need to know about the beats of good wrestling, but also why wrestling is fun. There are two people in this match: Referee Bryce Remsburg and the audience. And that’s it. This is literally just a referee (but it’s Bryce, so the referee) miming a wrestling match, and an audience buying into the kayfabe wholeheartedly. (Inside baseball: Bad Boy Vision - “Bad Boy” Joey Janela’s [another wrestler] sunglasses)

One of my favourite matches in recent memory, AND one of the best matches sort of just in general! David Starr vs Jordan Devlin at OTT. Quintessential wrestling, fantastic storytelling, and one of the best promo packages I’ve ever seen. BONUS: David Starr is a GREAT human fighting day and night to unionize the wrestling industry. He’s the Bernie Sanders of professional wrestling.

I thought about putting an actual death match on the list, but the closest I will get is this Nick Gage vs Josh Briggs fans bring the weapons match. I chose this match because my very best friend does not like this style of wrestling at all, but he did enjoy this match. It’s a lot, obviously. But it’s not as bad as it could be, but there’s also no shame if it isn’t your thing. Hell, I don’t even know why it’s my thing! I don’t even like bloody horror movies! I will say that Nick Fuckin’ Gage is one of the most prolific death match guys still working today, and also one of the nicest, kindest, most beloved guys there is and I would die to protect him. MDK!

Okay, this is the single most beautiful match to exist. Cara Noir vs PAC (fka WWE’s Neville). This isn’t wrestling, this is art. Great story, no commentary, gorgeous camerawork. Bonus: Cara Noir has the most fantastic and well rounded gimmick (character) in the business. Have you seen Black Swan? That’s it. That’s his character. And it’s great. Nailed. It.

Oh, did you know David Arquette is a wrestler? HE IS! Here’s he and RJ City.

On the subject of WWE and NXT, this Halftime Heat match of Aleister Black, Ricochet & Velveteen Dream vs Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole & Tommaso Ciampa. These are six of the best wrestlers work, and definitely TOPS in the WWE system. SEE ALSO: Black & Dream put on a HELL of a program together at NXT, but it’s been boiled down to this highlight vid that gives me feelings. Gargano vs Andrade Cien Almas is one of THE BEST matches of all time and here is a shitty highlight reel, but it’s still good. Adam Cole is 1) incredible and 2) the prettiest possum in the Denny’s dumpster, have a Cole vs Finn Balor highlight reel. God, I wish it were easier to find WWE stuff on YouTube.. All these matches should be on Hulu, tho.

NEXT! Kris Statlander vs Davienne for Beyond. Kris Statlander is A Legend, despite being real new to the business. Currently wrestling for AEW, former stuntwoman and, most importantly, she’s an alien.

FREE FOR ALL TIME. Solo Darling vs Penelope Ford vs Veda Scott vs Ashley Vox. They didn’t have to go that hard, but they did.

SPEAKING OF. Kylie Rae, Penelope Ford, Kimber Lee & Skylar vs. Shotzi Blackheart, Harlow &Twisted Sisterz. I just? I love? All of them?

And not to mention Kris Statlander vs Priscilla Kelly. I mean, I mean. I cannot sing the praises of both of these women enough.

Okay, so I am really only passingly familiar with a lot of Japanese wrestling. Mostly got into it last summer, actually. I get it, I love it, but I’m not as well versed in the people involved. Two badasses I do know? Meiko Satomura vs Kana (WWE’s Asuka). Fucking legends, both of them. Hard hitters, too, jesus.

If you do get into NXT at all, Keith Lee and Donovan Dijak put on one fuck of a program together, but the story started long before they ever entered the WWE! Please enjoy this absolute hoss fight from a couple years back.

NOW, some intergender matches! If you think they aren’t your thing, feel free to skip!

A fun match of (current IRL romantic partners) Keith Lee vs Mia Yim from before either of them debuted at NXT. I believe they weren’t dating at this point, so the next part will really hit, cuz it’s romantic as shit... This was not the booked ending. Keith Lee didn’t kick out on purpose. (Which, I mean, is literally all wrestling endings, but.) Mia was booked to lose (at least they told her that), and he purposefully took the L and went out on his back, to surprise her and give her a MASSIVE push.

Leyla Hirsch vs David Starr. I just. I goddamn love Leyla Hirsch. A very young wrestler, very new to the industry and I just love her so much?

Two great, intense matches of Joey Janela, the patron saint of bad decisions. Versus Kris Statlander (I can’t get enough of her) and versus Jordynne Grace.

Orange Cassidy and Penelope Ford vs Shockwave and Veda Scott. Shockwave is a robot and Orange Cassidy is Paul Rudd in Wet Hot American Summer. I can give no other explanation.

COMEDY TIME, YO. Comedy wrestling is The Best. There’s a name, Orange Cassidy. Yeah, he’s very funny, and also the most divisive person in wrestling rn. He’s Paul Rudd. He knows he’s a wrestler. He’s lazy. And there’s one match that we need to get out of the way first...

Orange Cassidy vs David Starr. The thing is. Orange Cassidy can fucking wrestle. His gimmick might be that he doesn’t want to, but he can. And It. Is. Great.

Now we can get on with the funnies.

Orange Cassidy vs Colt Cabana. Not story needed. Just two dudes at a food festival. Oh, yeah, there’s also a Swamp Monster. We love Swampy.

Colt Cabana vs Toru Yano. It’s just. So. FUN.

Real talk, women still tend to get treated as a joke by the wrestling industry at large, so they don’t get the luxury of being as funny as they want. But one woman out there doing the lord’s work is Session Moth Martina. Legend. Love her. Admittedly, another intergender match, but it makes me happy. Martina & Orange Cassidy vs Joey Janela & Penelope Ford (Janelope).

One of my All Time Favourite Matches to date, EFFY and Danhausen (Gaytanic Panic) vs Chris Dickinson and Pinkie Sanchez (Team Pazuzu). Yes, this is a Halloween show. Yes, the Ref IS dressed as Chris Dickinson. There are teeth, Jesus resurrects someone, Danhausen is in fishnets and Effy is in face paint. It’s great. Love that Danhausen.

grief support group member: after some reflection, aayla’s going to start going to a support group to talk through a lot of the loss that she’s been through. this muse would be a person she’s met at that group and will likely come to know a lot of her very private business.

friend from college: ezra is actually considering going to school and getting a degree in something (this is a secret that he hasn’t told anyone) and would likely be walking around campus/on a tour and would talk to your muse about it. this would likely become a friendship or somethin’ who is to say?

friend from yesteryear*: so basically, ezra used to get into a lot of mischief before regaining his memories about a month and a half ago. since then, he’s unintentionally ignored this person.

*this also has potential for another plot point that i’m still exploring and not ready to type out just yet. 

Mai 

fake relationship: this is open to anyone of status (wealth, political, any sort of upper-class status or socially on the rise) that is in the proper age range for mai 21-26. basically, this is kind of a PR relationship ( i have a few ideas for this and where it can go so if interested please hit me up if interest). 

a sort-of actual friend: so mai is exceedingly private and intentionally closed off. she doesn’t have many actual friends that she enjoys being around so this would be a nice change up and we can plot how they met and what not. maybe they met in class or something?

art gallery tour: so mai works part time at some swanky art gallery that her parent’s friend owns. she really does not like it, but being forced to show someone around would further establish in her development how much she dislikes that role.

a non wizarding world friend: percy’s met a lot of people who have told him about his relationship to them, but i think it would be nice for percy to make a friend as this nonrembering version of percy. 

Romeo Montague 

an actual, failed relationship: so this relationship was probably romeo’s longest. have you seen that post that went around twitter that was like “happy mother’s day to any man’s first six girlfriends?” yeah..that applies HEAVILY to this connection. I have some ideas for this and am here to say that he was not necessarily the one who ended this. the breakup happened at least four or five months ago and could have last anywhere from six months to a year and a half. 

a scorned ex: in the past, romeo would date a girl for a month and then unceremoniously dump her or ghost altogether. (this connection is open to multiple people & i’m sorry in advance).

Okay so I’m doing seven because as you all know from my zillion ships and characters I’ve written for/screamed about, I’m incapable of picking a specific favourite lmao. But it’s still less than half my fics so it’s fine. Also none of these are ranked, I enjoyed them all equally tbh. (Forgive my lack of heart emojis RIP, I’m on desktop for this one)The Troubles Rain Can Bring (Pers/ona 5) : Of course I have to bring this one up, since it’s the one I consider my first legit omo fic (Jade was my first foray, but since it’s unfinished and I picked a dead fandom specifically so I had less chances of getting mean comments, I consider it more of a practice run). This was my first time writing for a very active and current fandom, so it was really intimidating, but I was also really excited to participate in creating for a game I was so passionate about! Also that fic was just a total labour of self-indulgence and love (excuse for fluff with my otp? combining all my fav tropes? Gratuitous Akira Suffering? Including the others for fun towards the end? I was in hog heaven!) While I definitely can find parts where I could improve the writing now, I still love it for all of the effort I put into it, and I got such a lovely response that made me feel really welcome on ao3, the omo tag on tumblr, and in the p/5 fandom! It’s kind of nostalgic for me, even if it was only written like a year and a half ago, haha.All Bottled Up (Dang/anRonpa: THH) : I’m just really proud of this fic, and I had so much fun writing it! I think it’s probably one of the few fics I’ve written that was a completely smooth ride of inspiration and fun from start to finish, without any hitches in the writing process or me getting bogged down with other projects. Seriously I think I hammered the entire thing out in like a week or two lmao. I love Naegiri so much, and the idea was a treat to work with even if it’s some of the most cliché omo scenarios, it was just a nice relaxing bit of indulgence! Also I got to dig into Kirigiri’s character, which I didn’t get to do in my other fic of her (since that one was so short and oddly styled). My favourite bit was probably getting to mess with the drawbacks of her gloves/hand injuries, and of course those fluffy bits with Naegi! Getting Your Feet Wet (Pers/ona 5) : This one, hoo boy. Definitely one of my longest fics, and while at the time when I posted it I kind of hated half the stuff in it (just because I had been nitpicking it for so long lmao), now that time has gone by I can genuinely say I love it and it’s probably one I’m proudest of. Not only was it my first full dive into snut (and I’d like to think it isn’t too shabby), but I got to work with a rarepair that I’ve been intrigued by, with two of my fav npcs from the game! So fun times all around! It was great to imagine how Sae might have changed and opened up since the game’s ending, and what Tae could do to help draw her out of that strict shell while still making her feel secure and comfortable. Also I got to include pet/p.lay which is something I’d been dying to write since I started that account, so bonus points for that! And I got a way better response than I was expecting, so that was nice!A Sinking Ship (Pers/ona 5) : ((Okay I swear I still plan to update the other half of this one someday soon, I literally have the draft halfway done I just haven’t been able to get it finished to the level I want.)) Anyways, I have a soft spot for this one because 1. It’s Makoto, and you all know how much I adore her, 2. I finally got to write some legit palace battling and shenanigans, which I really enjoyed and want to include more of in future projects, 3. I literally put so much detail into this one, from the setting descriptions to the dialogue and going out of my way to include the entire team interacting with her instead of just one or two chars, and I’m giving myself a fat pat on the back for that. And then throwing in actual anxiety and plot issues instead of just making her desperate for the sake of it, which may have been ambitious (hence why it’s kind of on a cliffhanger right now while I finish the comfort half), but I really just wanted her to have one of my best fics possible because Makoto deserves the best (of the worst suffering oops sorry bby). Also did I mention The Shumako Bridal Carry scene? That was absolutely necessary to include okay? Also there’s gonna be quality Shumako bonding in the second chapter so I’m biased to love this in advance. Basically I love this one specifically because it’s my own self-indulgent bullshit, which is kind of every fic I write but this is definitely one of The Most Indulgent. I also consider this one my very best omo fic in terms of the actual omo writing/content, even if it’s long AF, because at least you’re getting desperation and wetting for pretty much the entire thing, even when other stuff’s going on around it. So yeah I guess if you don’t mind a cliffhanger ending (for now) and have a decent knowledge of p/5, this is the one I recommend reading!Conundrums Lead to Collapse (Doc/tor Who - 13th Doc/tor) : I really liked writing this one because of the whump, actually. I rarely have excuses to injure characters for Even Worse Omo Suffering/Comfort, so the fact that I could write based on a canon injury was the perfect excuse! Also I’m just weak for the 13th Doctor so I’m always down for omo of her, but it was also a fun excuse to explore her character. We hadn’t gotten to see her angry or broken down at the time it aired, so I enjoyed getting to play around with how things affect her when she does finally lose the positive attitude and confidence, and bringing a character as powerful (and semi immortal I guess) as The Doctor to the floor was just a fun exercise. Also it’s kind of hard to find whump fics focused on female characters that don’t involve a certain kind of violence (or just female whump in general actually), so I just really enjoyed using all of the fandom tropes I’ve read over the years in those fics to create something for those of us who wanted it the other way around! I would also like to say this one gave me the excuse for Found Family Coddling, everyone comforts and helps her towards the end which is perfect for my fluff-craving heart after all of the angst.Holding More than Cards (Ka/kegurui Compulsive Gambler) : Oh boy, I’ll be honest the reason I love this is purely because it’s pretty much the only fic for this pairing that I’ve found for my tastes and I had to make it myself dang it (They basically had a whole two episodes where Midari creamed herself for Yumeko and they had that scene where they held each other’s faces staring into their eyes, HOW is no one jumping on this ship??? There’s literally 5 fics total on ao3 I’m not joking). I really enjoyed getting to dig into Midari’s characterization for this one, especially since I had such a tiny bit of canon to go off of and had to set it after the anime’s s1 developments. I got to write Yumeko being a dom and dropping her cheerful attitude too, which was really satisfying. Also while this doesn’t have full on snut in it, it was the closest I’d come at the time, so that was an interesting challenge. This was a rare chance to indulge in unhealthy ships too (bc literally every ship in that show is unhealthy on some level lmao) so that was entertaining to try and navigate.Capture the Fly with Nectar Sweet (The Ch/illing Adventures of Sabrin/a) : I just posted this one recently but I’m adding it anyways, because I had an absolute blast working on it. It’s so starkly different from anything I usually write, because you all know I love close friendships and found family and all that quality fluff and caring. But instead this one was me staring at my laptop thinking of how I want to tell this character to go to hell, except that would be pointless because that’s literally where she came from. I really got to stretch my wings outside my comfort zone and dig around in the dark, manipulative side for a while, and it was so much fun to study one of my favourite villains (anti-hero? she’s such a mysterious mess idk how to classify her) and her relationship with Sabrina. I also got to attempt writing desperation from the outsider’s perspective instead of the victim’s, and while I feel like I definitely still have room to improve with that, it was a nice break from the way I usually write my omo fics. I also got to shift around my writing style for this one, using words like ‘betwixt’ (which I love but never get to use lol) and using a bunch of metaphors and similes to showcase how Madam views Sabrina. This is probably the fic that makes it obvious that Language Arts was my favourite subject in school and that I’m Extra when it comes to predator/prey comparisons lmao. (Note: Please read the tags on this one, the Dead Dove: Do Not Eat warning applies here.)

Heyyyyy, I also wanted to ask.... did you ever watch/read neighborhood story or paradise kiss? I read both this weekend and am surprised how many similar characters there were to Nana! Do you have thoughts on these? I’m trying to work my way through all of Ai Yazawa’s works, but so far I still like Nana best (I doubt that could change)

I’ve read Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai, Neighborhood Story, Kagen no Tsuki, Paradise Kiss, all at least twice and I think I’ve read both of what’s available of the two series that weren’t completely scanned/translated. So pretty much everything that is available by her to read!! lol I love her work.

I think Yazawa is such a master story teller tbh.  And a lot of it is because she doesn’t do episodic story lines, I think? Like there aren’t really clean ‘arcs’ that end and finish in a chapter.  It’s like life, y’know!!  And yeah, you can def see her ability and range to create flawed characters that you can still love in all her works, as early as Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai (which is actually my second fav Yazawa work actually!!)

Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai is her earliest scanned one and also I think her first long running series??  idk.  But even though it takes place primarily in high school, her themes in NANA are already starting to form and even though the characters act their age... there is also a maturity and insightfulness that isn’t always present in high school shojos.  And Akira in Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai is probably my favorite Yazawa man.  And she always places such an emphasis on friendship and the friendships in Tennai might be some of her best portrays (particularly Midori and Mamiya!!) Which I so love in all her works.

And Gokingo Monogatari is just... such a good series.  It’s particularly great for those that *hate* that Rachel from Friends got off the plane like me lol... granted Mikako and Tsutomu don’t split up, but gosh I’m so glad that Mikako put her own ambitions first!! That ambition is something she shares with Nana too, I guess, and it’s really fascinating how differently their ambitions and love lifes are explored in their stories.  

And I just love how characters like Shino in Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai and Body-ko from GokiMono are never vilified but are portrayed as sympathetic.  She really has a way of humanizing not just the MC’s flaws but side characters and antagonists.

Kagen No Tsuki and Paradise Kiss are the two I haven’t read in the longest while... But Paradise Kiss was actually started only a year before NANA and they ran concurrently for a while, which is something I feel should be talked about more??? Because WOW, she really worked so hard on both these amazing series.  It was such a shock that Yukari and George didn’t work out the first time I read the series, because it betrayed all the romance manga that I’d read before... But at the same time it shouldn’t be shocking because it’s true to life that their relationship wouldn’t work out.  Life is messy like that.

So.... yes basically, Yazawa is a QUEEN at story telling lol. Her work is just... incredible.  And the fact that her work only ever got better and better... Like NANA is just SO GOOD.  Gosh how good is she now???  I’m sure even without publishing she’s still got stories in her head and wow I want to know them. And also.... I would do ANYTHING for the rest of her series to be translated. Like online or even officially.  I would pay anything to own all her works... I love her work lmao.
