on the whole this has been an utterly shitty year for me on a personal level but here’s the good things:

mccc when i met david for the second time and talked to him abt m*cbeth and he signed my fave copy of gomens and also i met freema and she called me baby

when i drove to cincinnati by myself to see tmg and it was an amazing show and they played san bernardino and i cried so hard that a guy asked me if i needed a hug and then i hugged him and it was like. connecting.

buttcon just as a general concept but more than that the fact that hallie was there and i got to see hallie and touch hallie in real life and she is wonderful

my friends and i went to a powwow for the second time and it was a very rich and fun experience and i’m thankful that my one friend wanted to share it with the rest of us 

moving out of my mom’s house and into a house where my name is on the lease and everything

actually paid off my car for real i fully own her now

so much writing! i’ve written so much this year and i’m very proud of myself and i don’t feel so bad for not reading as much bc i was busy writing

a short-lived relationship that was fun while it lasted and made me get past some of my dumb fears vis-a-vis interpersonal connection

internationally renowned pop sensation mika releasing his fifth studio album which i’d been eagerly anticipating since 2016

a lot of good and fun and wholesome family time i love my family very much and they are so funny and good

my hair grew a lot which is a little thing but it makes me happy

that pic of me covered in napkins was taken at dnd the day after buttcon. i was dogsitting for a family friend and i had gotten back to their house at like 2am after going to buttcon and meeting hallie and everything and i got zero minutes of sleep only to be up and at dnd in the morn. i was wearing the same clothes as the day before and i had not even washed my face. in dnd we were trying to save some people or whatever and it went like. oliver: there are three large cages in the room, like bear cages. me: i swear on my life if you tell me there are people in those cages i will start crying. oliver: eeuuuehhhhhhhhh would you like to leave the room? me, already tearing up: no it's fine go ahead. and then he said there were people in the cages and i started crying and then, much as a noble chivalrous man gives a crying woman his handkerchief, my friends started putting napkins on me. and it was glorious.
