During the "Prohibition era" all production, importation, transportation, and sale of alcoholic beverages were forbidden. The Landgraabs, being the Landgraabs, saw a business opportunity in there and so in 1923 The Pandora Box Club, an illicit establishment that provided with alcohol and late night entertainment to all thirsty sims in the area, opened its doors by Whiskerman's Wharf, in Brindleton Bay.

The speakeasy, hidden underneath a fake convenience store, quickly became the hottest spot in town, launching the careers of many comedians, vaudeville stars and chorus girls who used to gather by the shabby dressing rooms behind the stage to drink booze, play jazz and dance to the crazy rythms of Charleston.
