Post dsmp au. The grown-up Michael lives a good life, but he has to put up with the fact that absolutely all of adults around him sometimes accidentally recall completely WILD facts from the past as if it were commonplace

Michael: And Uncle Techno made a joke about the anvil, but I didn't get the joke

Tubbo: Oh, he's talking about the time we tried to execute him.

Michael: WHAT

Michael: In this movie, the main characters are trying to get into a strictly guarded facility

Ranboo: Oh, it reminds me of the time when I was involved in breaking into Pandora

Michael: Wait, are you talking about THE PRISON???

Tommy: *tells stories* and that's how Sapnap and I went to do shit because it's fun

Michael: *suddenly realizes that Sapnap is one of those guys who tried to kill him as a child*

Michael: I can't. All the adults on this server are so fond of revealing sudden crazy facts from their biography.

Shroud: That's right, I still can't believe Uncle Jack and Aunt Niki once tried to kill Dad.

Michael: Yeah, and the fact that Uncle Wilbur and Uncle Tommy had a drug van when they were young? Madness

Shroud: I still can't believe that Uncle Techno and Uncle Phil once ruled the empire

Michael: THEY'RE WHAT

I JUST THOUGHT OF A HEADCANON FOR DSMP:

So, you know how C! Phil killed C! Wilbur, right? And there were a lot of "But Phil could have tried to talk him out of it and help him get better" which I understand. BUT, I just thought about something:

Phil saw how far gone Wilbur was and how adamant he was about dying and didn't know what to do. He didn't know how to help Wilbur because helping someone that far gone is very complicated and he didn't know how he would be able to help. So, he decided to grant Wilbur's final wish and kill him, and in Phil's mind, he was bringing Wilbur to his mother, The Goddess of Death. Kristin is one of the people Phil can always rely on and he trusted that she would be able to guide Wilbur in the afterlife, and, at the very least, save his soul since Phil didn't know how else to help. He thought that Wilbur and Kristin would be able to talk in the afterlife and Wilbur could heal in a place that isn't chaotic with constant wars. However, he didn't know that the death system was messed with(by DreamXD) to where the members of DSMP are sent to Limbo, not to the Goddess of Death. Phil didn't know this and unknowingly sent his son to what would/should have been an eternity of complete isolation, his own personal hell.

c!wlibur didn't sleep for a week since he was revived. Having your soul shoved almost crudely into your body by someone messing around with a book and playing god is a shock to one's system. He was running on adrenaline when he first "woke up" and that adrenaline didn't really leave him for a while. A couple days, to be exact. He stayed awake because he had too many plans and had lost too much time, or so he'll say. In reality, not only was his insomnia still lingering from pogtopia, but he also was a bit scared to close his eyes, fearing he wouldn't wake up and being alive again would turn out to be a sick fantasy dream he had concocted in limbo. So, he didn't sleep.

Looking back, he remembered waking up, walking out, and having that whole welcome party, one could call it, as he walked off. Afterwards, it all became a blur in his memories of new and long-forgotten sensations. sunlight. breathing. running. soft yet prickly grass. breathing. stars. hunger. bird's whistling. breathe, goddammit, don't forget to breathe. After that blur, though, his first clear memory is at Phil's cabin. Phil had caught onto his insomnia, and had refused to let it slide. He sat Wilbur down, with a warm drink a warm blanket, and a warm crackling fireplace. Warmth wasn't something Wilbur had felt sitting at the train station. Wilbur had made some jabs and comments, teasing and calling Phil "old" and "soft", but he didn't reject the offer and sat in the comfy chair, listening to his father whistle a tune from the kitchen area as the night got closer and closer to dawn.

Wilbur couldn't help himself, and he allowed himself to do something he hadn't done in, by his standards, years: he allowed himself to rest.

The empire shudders from the whispers. Technoblade clearly wanted it to be a secret, but people are surreptitiously passing rumors from mouth to mouth that he went to the Death. Alone, thoughtful and serious. What was the emperor looking for? Did the Death cause him? Did he make some kind of deal with her? Ordinary people can only guess and make up legends...

Meanwhile, Techno went to Kristin to discuss what they would give Phil for his birthday
