Eponine was happy to leave the werewolves to their own issues, and to just focus on herself. But her conversation with Razor rang warning bells throughout her entire body, for the town in general. If he was willing to issue threats to someone for refusing to identify themself to him, it didn’t bode well for the town as a whole. She could hold her own after over 200 years, others may not be so lucky.

Spotting the sheriff sitting by herself, she slipped into the bench opposite her, a sad smile on her face.

“Apologies to disturb you from the festivities, and I understand if it’s none of my business...” She trailed off, glancing around to make sure they weren’t being listened to. “I assume you have met Razor?”

【Antebellum/AMV】Psycho Killer

Happy Independence Day guys!! Hope you all enjoy this!

Like I've said the theme of this amv is probably: humorously(?) compressed simple antebellum history (1812-1861) group portraits into 4 minutes. So most scenes are basically related to historical facts, and the numbers there are the years of the events. However I'm historically illiterate in antebellum era, and this was something I decided to make before I even understood antebellum people lol. I hope there aren't any big mistakes x

While playing this song on repeat it suddenly struck me that everyone in the antebellum era was a god damned Psycho Killer, hence the idea for this group portrait. It's kinda sad that some of the characters I didn't get a chance to draw or that I didn't know enough about them.

Hes wearing a big red cloak just to be able to make it stretch and look more intimidating when he splits his body parts. Just because you look bigger doesn't mean you look better. He is a clown, and he looks more like a fool than he already is. There is even a part where hes packing stuff, still wearing that cloak. Like??? Take it off dude?? Why does he insist on fumbling around with that???

Buggy. That's not an outfit. That's a red bag. I know you have it just so you can make yourself look bigger. That doesn't make me intimidated. That just makes you look like a mascot for a failed blanket business. It's just a red sack full of air and embarrassment. It's a woopie cushion. You're a fart-man now, Buggy.

It's been two days since Brooke and Tyler arrived in Phuket, Thailand. On day one, they visited the beach and built sandcastles after Tyler informed Brooke he's never done that before. His castle was all mushy and lopsided while hers was Instagram-worthy. Unfortunately, they weren't able to post their pictures yet. They agreed to keep their whereabouts private until they're back home. Then they can spam their accounts and commemorate their memories. On day two, they went out to eat and have drinks at Malika Sky Bar. Rather, Tyler had drinks while Brooke stuck to her 'no sex or alcohol' rule. The no sex part was still something Tyler was trying to get used to. Which might explain the erection he woke up with this morning. After stretching, he rolls over and reaches for Brooke. When his hand catches nothing but air, he sits up and looks around the room. That's when he hears the retching and coughing coming from the bathroom. With his eyebrows drawn, he lifts himself out of bed and hurries towards the other room. He knocks on the door at first, but then pushes it open when he realizes it's not locked. "Brooke? What's wrong?" After crouching down beside her, he gathers her hair into a ponytail so she doesn't throw up on it. "Are you okay?"

Sometimes, you can feel as though no one wants you to think for yourself. All day, every day, through our devices, news-media diets, and social-media accounts, we are inundated with others’ opinions on all matters. Politicians, corporations, media figures, strangers, and friends tell us what to do and think. To be a good and right-thinking person, you must vote for this, believe in that, buy this, hate that…

Have you ever fantasized about somehow rejecting all of that—blocking out the noise and focusing on your own thoughts and judgments? …

The challenge is how to achieve it. Luckily for us, a famous American philosopher focused on exactly that question and left us the guide to self-reliance he wrote in 1841. Read it, and you might just find the self-determining freedom you crave…

To make all of these precepts as practical as possible, here are the eight succinct Emersonian rules for self-reliance that I try to remember. You, too, may find them helpful to monitor your behavior and conscience, and to check how self-reliant you’re managing to be.

Be a private person; never share details of your life with total strangers.

Don’t conform to any conventional wisdom; question everything.

Make independence your goal; walk alone when necessary.

Don’t take the easiest path; choose to do hard things.

Get the cultural garbage out of your life; focus only on what edifies you.

Change your mind as you see fit; make no apologies for doing so.

Commit to complete honesty; this includes honesty with yourself.

Do not count on external forces for your happiness; look within.

Living by this code is not an easy path, which is why few people really follow it. But in a messy world where the majority of people are just going along and getting along, you will find it well worth trying to do so. As if to acknowledge the difficulty and loneliness that can be involved with choosing self-reliance, Emerson concludes his essay with one more pensée to give you strength on your solitary journey: “Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. Nothing can bring you peace but the triumph of principles.” Amen.

The summer heat was supposed to be dialing down but the sun was unmerciful today which would explain why Jake chose today to throw a last-minute pool party. If anyone thought they could get away with wearing anything more than a bikini or shorts - they were wrong. Isadora's perspiring skin was sticking to the the lounge chair she was trying to get comfortable on. When she eventually notices Kev walking around the pool, she closes her green eyes and wishes he didn't look so good. The suntan lotion mixed with sweat, and everyone's flushed cheeks makes her think of sex. Isadora was feeling extremely horny and shamelessly so. Her eyes cut to Brooke who's sidled up next to Gage's sixpack. Isadora pulls on her bikini to get her attention, and accidently pulls them down an inch so that her asscrack is showing.
