Hi, How Are You Day 2025

Hi, How Are You Day 2025 With Cunningham Bird
In 1973, folk rock sweethearts Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks cut their duo debut: the appropriately titled Buckingham Nicks.
The album flopped, but it caught the ear of Mick Fleetwood, who soon recruited the couple to freshen his then-floundering Fleetwood Mac.
Despite the record’s springboard significance, it fell out of print and remains out of the mainstream today.
That’s why unorthodox songsmith Madison Cunningham and whistling multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird paired for their own self-titled resurrection, Cunningham Bird.
The October release follows the inspiring LP track-by-track in the duo’s warmly harmonized, alt- rock style – with a bowed twist.
Catch the partners-in-preservation Friday to celebrate mental health awareness.

New Hellcheergroveton Au ~~ Short Chapter Fic Coming Soon!
Premise: In a Post-Vecna world, Billy recently started using a cane to help with his developing mobility issues, while Steve, his boyfriend with partial vision loss, chronic migraines, and a TBI that affects his speech, has thought of a plan to help Billy feel more comfortable using it. That plan happens to involve Chrissy, who is blind, and Eddie, who is hard of hearing and uses mobility aids as well (a decked out, fully customized rollator or a wheelchair of the same punkness usually) to manage his fibromyalgia. Secretly they’re all definitely crushing on each other.
Small Preview of Chapter 1 below the cut:
His solution comes in the form of one Chrissy Cunningham.
Ever since she barely survived Vecna crumpling her like a paper ball, her vision never came back. They pinned together her bones and wired her jaw until it healed, but they can’t exactly get her new eyes that aren’t bloodshot and clouded milky-white. So she walks with a cane. It has a little round circle on the end to roll and feel more accurately where she’s going. She likes it better than the hard-ended tapping cane they gave her first.
And that’s a whole revelation.
A cane. Billy can use a cane.
He asks Eddie to arrange a ride for him, and the next day they’re at the pharmacy (thanks to Wayne. Billy loves that guy) buying him an adjustable, pretty cheap cane. There’s a choice between a harsh, eye-burning blue color that reminds him just a little too much of his old junked car, or a plain black one. It’s a pretty easy choice.
He’s just a little bummed that the one he gets is so… boring.
Billy’s second revelation comes in the form of Eddie Munson.
Why it didn’t come to him sooner, he isn’t sure. Eddie was literally there with him the day he got the damn cane. In his wheelchair. Totally decked out in patches and spikes and stickers.
Customized mobility aids. Billy didn’t even know that was a thing!
Well, obviously he did, but he didn’t think that was an option for him. Eddie Munson is so much cooler than him. They both went through hell, but only one of them had come out the other side passionately fighting against the systems that would make it impossible to pay for their meds and their aids were it not for the liability payouts they were owed by the assholes who made the monsters that tried to kill them. Billy admires the social reform shit Eddie gets up to in his free time, when the spoon drawer isn’t empty.
He calls it Cripple Punk. It’s a whole thing. Billy doesn’t like that word so much, but he likes Eddie a lot, and he likes what he stands for too. And honestly, he kinda likes the idea of having spikes on his cane like Eddie has on the back of his chair.
Just the idea makes Billy feel badass too and not so much like somebody’s old granny.

DrakeNieR2077 | DRAKONIA -
Drakonia, stemming from draconian, is a black metal band created by Legna as a way to protest against the mega-corporations and singing anti-capitalist rhetoric to empower the voices of the people. The name is a mockery of draconian or draconian law, meaning excessively harsh or severe. At the time of its formation and the political landscape, many megacorps were viewed as entirely ruthless and money-hungry.

Angelus is to Alt Cunningham, but only in that she’s a Legendary Netrunner and created the AU equivalent of Soulkiller
Michael is to Johnny Silverhand and serves a similar role mixed with his DOD3 character
Legna is to Kerry Eurodyne, but less Camp and is meaner
Gabriella is to Rogue Amendiares, a legendary Fixer and owner of Afterlife (name unchanged)

Chapter's summary:
V finally meets Alt Cunningham, but a pact with an AI is no different from a pact with a demon. What price will she and Johnny have to pay? In the meantime, on the outskirts of Rancho Coronado, Jackie is trying to escape the death claws.

Hull 0-1 Blackburn: Derrick Williams nods Tony Mowbray’s side to second consecutive victory
Hull 0-1 Blackburn: Derrick Williams nods Tony Mowbray's side to the second consecutive victory after hosts missed the first half-penalty
Jarod Bowen missed a chance to advance the hosts after seeing the punishment rescued
Blackburn was thwarted three times by the woodwork at the end of the first half
The visitors opened the score by Derrick Williams's head at 62 minutes
Hull also had the post but could not find an equalizer at the KCOM

Derrick Williams dented a rare appearance on the scoreboard of the impressive Blackburn home record Hull.
The big defenders of Rovers struck for the first time in almost two years to see the impressive KCOM defeat of City end in their previous 15 games.
The stunning penalty save by Christian Walton resulted in a goal. -less first hour, but this classic with counter punching was anything but a mustache.
Derrick Williams scored his first goal in almost two years to win Blackburn's victory
The Rovers defend the highest tower for an inviting set piece in the left round angle to nod
Hull & Jarrod Bowen saw his first half kick denied by visitor's keeper Christian Walton
on loan from Blackburn Brighton goalkeeper suspected the right to refuse 12-meter Jarod Bowen to to set the tone, because both goals sometimes enchanted lives before Williams came up with the highest goal of looking at Stewart Downing & # 39; s free kick after 62 minutes.
Grant McCann had promised an open meeting between two footballing parties, and the words of the head coach of Hull foresaw prophetically, because the game somehow lasted until the deadlock was finally broken.
Bowen was the most reproachable to ensure that an unlikely outcome at the break when the attacker c risply-struck 13th minute penalty produced a great save from Walton, the keeper diving high to the left to maintain parity after Bradley Johnson & # 39; s trip on Jackson Irvine.
The sides combined to hit the woodwork four times while the shots rained at each end, Kamil Grosicki saw his snapshot coming off the pole from 18 meters, before the midfielder of Poland narrowly curled the rebound from the opposite upright with Walton struggling to make his ground.
Boss Grant McCann put his head in his hands after his side the golden opportunity missed
Downing was equally unhappy for Rovers, because the angular drive cam of the experienced midfielder returned from the foot of the pole at the height of a striking three-man movement, Bradley Dack made the perfectly weighted last pass.
FACT FACTS
Hull: Long, McKenzie (Da Silva Lopes 73), Burke, Wise, Kingsley, Bowen, Batty (Bowler 67) ), Stewart, Grosicki, Irvine, Eaves (Magennis 67)
Unused subs: Tafazolli, Toral, Ingram, Fleming
Scorers: Nvt
Booked: Stewart, Eaves, Kingsley, Bowler
Blackburn: Walton, Bennett, Lenihan, Williams, Cunningham, Travis, Johnson, Gallagher (Graham 64)), Dack (Rothwell 73), Downing, Armstrong (Buckley 90)
Unused subs: Nyambe, Leutwiler, Bell, Evans
Scorers: ] Johnson 62
Booked: Lenihan
Referee: Jeremy Simpson (Lancashire)
Johnson made twice efforts against the goal, long shot shot down the crossbar, after an earlier header from Greg Cunningham & # 39; s cross had kissed the crossbar.
Although he was beaten both times, George Long reacted well to achieve his goal of smothering Adam Armstrong's feet when another smooth pass from the visitors brought the Geordie striker through.
The odds kept coming and going, Daniel Batty should have done better, because the midfielder of the hull arrived late in the area to shoot over an inviting Stephen Kingsley cut-back from the left flank.
The half-time interval could not dilute the attack intention of both parties.
Robbers should have taken the lead in the first five minutes of the restart, only for Sam Gallagher to lead another lush Downing center back over the six-yard box instead of going for the goal from its unmarked position on the far post.
Williams showed his teammate how it had to happen shortly afterwards, as Rovers won back to back victories.
Hull & # 39; s impressive KCOM run of a defeat in their previous 15 games was ended on Tuesday

Tanner Kirwer had a multi-hit night but it was not enough for the Vancouver Canadians Thursday.
The Vancouver Canadians gave back the ground they gained the night before in the North Division race after an 8-1 setback to the Everett AquaSox at Nat Bailey Stadium Thursday. The C’s lead is down to a single game once again after Spokane slammed Tri-City at Gesa Stadium.
The C’s got the game’s first run in the bottom of the second inning. Jake Brodt earned a one-out walk and scored on a McGregory Contreras triple to the wall in left-center field off Michael Plassmeyer. Sterling Guzman could not bring in the birthday boy Contreras as he struck out swinging. That would not be the last time the Canadians would strand a runner at third.
Josh Stowers is greeted by Ryne Ogren (#16) after scoring on a bases-clearing double by Matt Sanders in the third inning.
The AquaSox roared back in the top of the third against Jose Espada. It all started when Nick Garcia lifted a fly ball to left filed but Contreras dropped it and that opened the floodgates. A single by Ryne Ogren pushed Garcia to second before a Charlie McConnell base hit found a hole in the right side of the infield to bring home Garcia. Josh Stowers loaded the bases on a swinging bunt that was chopped to the third base side. Espada got to the ball but his momentum towards the third base line did not allow him to set his feet and make a throw so he wisely held on to the ball. Matt Sanders doubled to left to clear the bases to put the AquaSox ahead 4-1. Cal Raleigh drilled a double to right field to score Sanders to increase the Everett lead to four. Nick Rodriguez struck out and Bobby Honeyman popped up to short but a four-pitch walk to Connor Kopach ended the night for Espada. Justin Watts came in to retire Garcia on a fly ball to right as Everett sent 10 men to the plate.
Garcia started the next Everett rally in the sixth when he doubled to left off Denis Diaz. A wild pitch and an Ogren single brought Garcia all the way around to make it 6-1 Everett.
The Frogs tacked on two more runs in the seventh when Rodriguez walked and scored on a Honeyman double to right. Diaz fell behind Kopach 1-0 before being lifted for Connor Law and he coughed up a run-scoring base hit to Kopach that brought in Honeyman with the eighth Everett run.
Law would work a clean eighth inning and Marcus Reyes put up a goose egg in the ninth for Vancouver.
Penn Murfee earned the victory for Everett with 1-1/3 innings of scoreless relief. Carlos Hernandez proceeded Murfee with 1-2/3 shutout frames that included four punchouts. Jorge Benitez and Dayeison Arias split the last four innings evenly to complete a shutout night for the AquaSox bullpen.
Justin Watts contributed 2-2/3 scoreless innings and stranded both of his inherited runners Thursday.
C-Notes
Espada’s night started well enough. He struck out two hitters in a 12-pitch first inning and overcame a Nick Podkul error at second in the second inning. Podkul was not able to handle a sinking liner but Espada erased that mistake by picking off Rodriguez at first. Espada threw over twice and got Rodriguez on the second attempt.
Unfortunately for Espada, he could not get out of the third inning as he surrendered five runs (four earned) on five hits and a walk. Watts stranded two runners and put together 2-2/3 scoreless innings of two-hit ball while matching Espada’s strikeout total of three. Diaz surrendered three runs on three hits and two walks over one inning. Connor Law allowed a Diaz runner to score but pitched two shutout frames of two-hit ball with one whiff. Reyes struck out one in a one-hit ninth.
Sterling Guzman (#2), Brett Wright (#17), Jose Espada (#14), Nick Podkul (#6) and Jake Brodt (right) have a mound conference during the third inning Thursday.
The C’s tried to respond to the five-run Everett third with a rally of their own in the bottom half. Brett Wright lined a single to left and Podkul went to right field with a one-out base hit but Stowers robbed Otto Lopez of extra bases with a diving catch to his right in center field. Griffin Conine would strike out to leave Wright and Podkul stranded.
The fourth inning saw Tanner Kirwer triple to right where Garcia nearly slipped and fell when trying to go back on the ball. The one-out three-bagger would be stranded as Contreras struck out and Guzman grounded out.
A two-out walk by Podkul did not lead to anything further in the fifth before Kirwer tripled again to right with two outs in the sixth. Contreras would go down swinging again to leave Kirwer 90 feet away.
Hunter Steinmetz replaced Christopher Bec as the designated hitter in the seventh to see his first game action since August 13. Steinmetz would fly out to left. Bec saw his on-base streak end at 15 games after going 0-for-3. Hat tip to Jordy Cunningham in the C’s Media Relations department for that statistic.
Lopez had a walk in the eighth that went nowhere before the C’s last gasp in the ninth. Reilly Johnson struck out swinging before Contreras got his second hit of the night with a single to left. Guzman reached base on a throwing error from the mound by Arias but Wright struck out and Steinmetz grounded out to end the game.
Contreras and Kirwer had two hits each and Podkul had a hit and a walk. Wright had the other Vancouver hit while Lopez and Brodt heard ball four once. The C’s six hits and three walks were overshadowed by 15 strikeouts and they left nine men in scoring position with just one hit in nine opportuniites.
Johnson came into the game as a defensive replacement in left field in the eighth as Contreras moved to center and Kirwer was given the rest of the night off.
The strong performances of Josh Winckowski and Otto Lopez have received recognition from the Northwest League.
Congratulations goes to righthander Josh Winckowski and infielder/outfielder Otto Lopez. The Canadians and the Northwest League announced Winckowski as the Northwest League Pitcher of the Year while Lopez earned NWL All-Star team honours as an outfielder.
Lefthander Randy Pondler (5-4, 2.67) will start the final game of this three-game series for Vancouver. Rehabbing Seattle Mariners pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma (0-0, 9.00) will be on the hill for Everett. CanadiansBaseball.com and BNN Bloomberg Radio 1410 will broadcast the game. Rob Fai will call the action at 1:05 pm.

Florida Insider Poll finds doubt Democrats will nominate strongest candidate

Florida Insider Poll finds doubt Democrats will nominate strongest candidate
The verdict is clear among Florida’s political elites as to who would be the strongest gubernatorial nominees for the general election: Democrat Gwen Graham and Republican Adam Putnam.
But among more than 200 Florida political experts participating in the latest Florida Insider poll, the verdict is much less clear about whom the Democrats are likely to nominate.
Nearly six in 10 of the campaign professionals, money-raisers, lobbyists, activists, and political scientists surveyed said former U.S. Rep. Graham of Tallahassee would be the strongest general election candidate for the Democrats.
Putnam is heavily favored to win not just the Republican primary but the general election as well.
Only  42 percent expect Graham to win the primary pitting her against four other men. Most, 51 percent, predict the nominee will be Miami beach businessman Philip Levine, who has spent about $10 million of his own money on TV ads airing for months that have launched him into first place in early polls.
“Levine in many ways is perceived as the front runner and rightfully so. He has been spending money wisely on tv but also has quietly built a strong and robust field presence- especially in Tampa and south Florida. Many democrats would make their peace with him mainly because he has he money to self finance his run, allowing money to be spread around to save Nelson, put the state senate in a posture to be flipped to the Dems and flip a Congressional seat or 3,” said a Republican.
Less than 6 percent of those surveyed predicted any of the other credible Democrats running — Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, Greene, or Winter Park businessman Chris King –would win the nomination.
On the Republican side, an overwhelming 87 percent said Agriculture Commissioner  Putnam would be the strongest Republican for the general election (and 72 percent (77 percent of Republicans) predicted he would beat U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis in the primary.
Putnam, as part of the GOP establishment in Florida, has far more ties to and friends among the Florida Insiders than DeSantis.
“Putnam will survive the recent problems in his campaign. He has a strong grass roots campaign. You can’t win just being on Fox News,” said one Republican, noting DeSantis’ campaign strategy of relying mainly on Fox News appearances to reach Florida primary voters.
Another Republican: “Adam Putnam holds an almost insurmountable fundraising lead over Ron DeSantis, as well as a huge head start. Putnam will be the Republican nominee because he campaigns, connects with ordinary Floridians on issues Floridians care about, and knows how to win in Florida. DeSantis’ campaign is showing almost no signs of life.
Florida Insider polls are unscientific surveys of people closely involved in the political process – including people working for or actively helping the candidates in question. We allow anonymous comments to encourage frank assessments and answers.
The polls reflect the conventional wisdom of Florida’s political establishment, rather than actual public opinion or reality.
Asked which of the seven major candidates they expected to be Florida’s next governor. Putnam was favored by an overwhelming  47 percent, followed by Graham with 23 percent, Levine with 17 percent, and DeSantis with 7 percent.
“Gwen Graham is the strongest Democrat in a Statewide election,” said a Democrat. :Adam Putnam is the strongest Republican. Graham beats DeSantis, Putnam beats anybody but Graham, Putnam v Graham is close, with a slight edge to Putnam without any headwinds. I can’t predict what the political mood about Trump will be in October.”
Among Republicans, 12 percent foresaw a Gov. Levine and 5 percent a Gov, Graham. Among Democrats 23 percent predicted Putnam will win the general election and 1 percent said DeSantis.
And the Trump factor?
A slight  majority, 51 percent, said Trump’s standing with voters will hurt Republicans up and down the ballot “a little,” 17 percent said “not at all,” 16 percent said Trump will hurt other Republicans “a great deal,” and another 16 percent said Trump in the White House will help Republicans on the ballot. Put another way, 16 percent think Trump is helpful to Republican candidates this year, and 68 percent think he will hurt them at least somewhat.
The 218 politicos participating in this month’s Florida Insider poll included 112 Republicans, 89 Democrats, and 17 women and men registered to neither major party. They were:
Tom Alte, Jason Altmire, Gayle Andrews, Scott Arceneaux, Donna Arduin, Dave Aronberg, Rick Asnani, Jon M. Ausman, Roger Austin, Tim Baker, Brian Ballard, Ryan Banfill, Michael Barnett, Scott Barnhart, Rodney Barreto, Ashley Bauman, Alan Becker, Geoffrey Becker, Samuel Bell, Allan Bense, Wayne Bertsch, Ron Bilbao, David Bishop, Stephen Bittel, Greg Blair, Katie Bohnett, Matt Bryan, Bob Buckhorn, Alex Burgos, Dominic M. Mcghee, Jim Davis, Justin Day, Nelson Diaz, Pablo Diaz, Victor Dimaio, Michael Dobson, Doc Dockery, Paula Dockery, Bob Doyle, Charles Dudley, Ryan Duffy, Vickie Dunn, Barry Edwards, Eric Eikenberg, Alia Faraj-Johnson, Mikec Fasano, Peter Feaman, Cesar Fernandez, Mark Ferrulo, Damien Filer, Mark Foley, Andy Ford, Towson Fraser, John French, Jack Furnari, Tom Gaitens, Eduardo Gamarra, Wayne Garcia, Steve Geller, Richard Gentry, Julia Gill Woodward, Susan Glickman, Susan Goldstein, Alma Gonzalez, Jose Gonzalez, Adam Goodman, Cindy Graves, Jennifer Green, Ron Greenstein, Thomas Grigsby, Joe Gruters, Stephanie Grutman, Ron Gunzburger, Mike Hamby, Marion Hammer, Chris Hand, Abel Harding, James Harros, Jeff Hartley, Chris Hartline, Jack Hebert, Rich Heffley, Bill Helmich, Cynthia Henderson, Ann Herberger, Brad Herold, Max Herrle, Mike Hightower, Don Hinkle, Jim Holton, Erin Isaac, Christina Johnson, David Johnson, Eric Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Stafford Jones, Eric Jotkoff, Doug Kaplan, Fred Karlinsky, Joshua Karp, Michael King, Erik Kirk, Chris Kise, John Konkus, Jeff Kottkamp, Kartik Krishnaiyer, Stephanie Kunkel, Bill Lee, Tom Lewis, Beth Leytham, Nikki Lowrey, Susan Macmanus, Jose Mallea, Al Maloof, Roly Marante, Beth Matuga, Kim Mcdougal, Nancy Mcgowan, Clarence Mckee, Seth Mckee, Dan Mclaughlin, Kathy Mears, David Mica, Jamie Miller, Jon Mills, Frank Mirabella, Ed Miyagishima, Lucy Morgan, Samuel Neimeiser, Meredith Orourke, Maurizio Passariello, Alex Patton, Darryl Paulson, Jorge Pedraza, Scott Peelen, Rockie Pennington, Kirk Pepper, Evelyn Perez-Verdia, Joe Perry, Lisa Perry, Sean Phillippi, Gretchen Picotte, Ron Pierce, JC Planas, Bob Poe, Ben Pollara, Jeff Porter, David Rancourt, Susannah Randolph, Marc Reichelderfer, Andrea Reilly, George Riley, Jim Rimes, Franco Ripple, Pat Roberts, Monica Rodriguez, Jason Roth, Sarah Rumpf, Ron Sachs, Tom Scarritt, Steve Schale, Tom Scherberger, April Schiff, Jack Seiler, Kathleen Shanahan, Bud Shorstein, Patrick Slevin, Susan Smith, Roger Stone, Alan Stonecipher, Richard Swann, Kevin Sweeny, Cory Tilley, Greg C. Int. ADAC Sachsen Supercross Chemnitz
und 2. Dezember 2017 in der Messe Chemnitz
Die Vorfreude auf das Supercross Chemnitz steigt Das erste Supercross des ADAC SX Cups 2017/2018 ist Geschichte, und das zweite, das 15. In. ADAC Sachsen Supercross Chemnitz steht am 1. und 2. Dezember unmittelbar bevor. Beim 15. Int. Exclusive photos: Ranking ‘The Voice’ Season 13's top 20
The Voice Season 13’s top 20 semifinalists were revealed this Tuesday, and Reality Rocks has their exclusive cast photos… and, of course, some opinions as well. Check out this definitive ranking of the contestants, so you can make an informed vote next week!
Tumblr media
Chloe Kohanski (Team Blake)
Chloe is this year’s Jeffery Austin: a sleeper contestant absolutely no one saw coming (who was even montaged in the Battles), until she showed up at the Knockout Rounds in a snazzy suit and slayyyyed. Her gorgeous, goosebump-inducing Knockout cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landside” was the standout performance of Season 13 — and the season’s highest iTunes charter so far, peaking at No. 12. Shockingly, Chloe’s doppelganger and original coach, Miley Cyrus, gave her up, but Miley’s loss is definitely Blake Shelton’s gain. Blake could pull off a six-peat win with this exquisite young songstress. (Photo: NBC)

Tumblr media
Davon Fleming (Team J.Hud)
Jennifer Hudson will probably land an endorsement deal with Zappos before Season 13 is over — because as long as she has fellow Whitney Houston fan Davon (and his nearly Whitney-level vocals) on her side, she’s sure to be throwing designer shoes left and right. This charismatic entertainer is a force to be reckoned with, the real deal, and the total package. Jennifer, a former Voice U.K. coach, may soon be bragging about winning The Voice on both sides of the pond. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Addison Agen (Team Adam)
While there is a risk that Addison and Chloe, both indie-leaning songbirds, will cancel each other out in the Playoffs, I feel there is room for both in the Season 13 finale. With a natural “melody in her voice” (according to J.Hud, in one of the most astute comments of the season), Addison has also experienced early iTunes success, with her “Beneath Your Beautiful” hitting No. 38 and her Battle Rounds duet of “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” going to No. 36. Interestingly, Addison is another Team Miley castoff; Miley apparently came in like a wrecking ball and wrecked her chances of winning this season, by getting rid of two of her star players! (Photo: NBC)

Tumblr media
Noah Mac (Team J.Hud)
He’s got Harry Styles hair — and Harry Styles charisma. But did Harry Styles ever make Kelly Clarkson cry? Becaus that’s just what Noah did with his soulful Knockout performance of James Bay’s “Hold Back the River.” I’ll be crying a river myself if this talented kid doesn’t at least make it to the top six. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Janice Freeman (Team J.Hud)
A rock ‘n’ soul powerhouse channeling Mary J. Blige and Tina Turner, a cancer survior, and a mother, Janice is a true fighter. She pours every ounce of her pain and passion into go-for-broken, gauntlet-throwing performances like “I’m Goin’ Down” and “Radioactive,” and it’s always good TV. I would love to see Janice differentiate herself in the Playoffs with more leftfield alt-rock choices, a la her Imagine Dragons cover; if she does that, there’s no way she’s goin’ down any time soon. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Moriah Formica (Team Miley)
Moriah is, as Blake might say, BAD. ASS. And she’s as tough as her surname implies. A guitar-slinging 16-year-old raised on ’80s hair metal (she even once guested on a solo album by Stryper singer Michael Sweet!), Moriah nailed every note of Heart’s “Crazy on You” in her Blind Audition. Granted, she sounded a lot like Heart’s Ann Wilson, but in her Knockout performance, she started to find her own voice with a fierce take on a contemporary Kelly Clarkson classic. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Chris Weaver (Team J.Hud)
Chris is a worship leader by day and a drag queen (Nedra Belle, the drag daughter of RuPaul’s Drag Race veteran Sasha Belle) by night. Can I get an amen, literally? With a pedigree like that, Chris makes for good TV, but he also has vocal chops — no lip-syncing for this guy! However, with dual backgrounds in church and NYC drag clubs, Chris’s performance style is, shall we say, far from subtle. He’ll have to work on his oversinging tendencies, which could alienate viewers — otherwise he might sashay away from the competition way too soon. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Brooke Simpson (Team Miley)
During a mentoring session, Kelly Clarkson said, “Not only does Brooke have what it takes to be in the industry, I think the industry needs people like her. She’s so lovable on top of being an amazing vocalist.” High praise from one America’s sweetheart to another! Brooke might fade into the background as she goes up against some of this season’s flashier personalities, but like Kelly on American Idol Season 1, she has chops and charm. Don’t underestmate her. (Photo: NBC)

Tumblr media
Ashland Craft (Team Miley)
Miley is determined to win with a country contestant this season, which would bring her career’s Joanne-reminiscent, return-to-roots story arc to its logical conclusion. With fellow sassy rebel girl Ashland, Miley may get her wish. Ashland has enough Gretchen Wilsonesque sass to please diehard country fans, plus the rock ‘n’ roll edge (note her Skynyrd-style cover of Bon Jovi’s road-weary “Wanted Dead or Alive”) to cross over. I’m interested to see if she can pull off a ballad, however — at some point, America will yearn to connect with kinder, gentler Ashland underneath all that leather. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Keisha Renee (Team Blake)
The onetime Adam Lambert/Nicki Minaj backup singer-turned-country contender occupies a lane all her own, and she’s certainly interesting and unique. But will country fans, and Blake Shelton fans, embrace her? I’m concerned they’ll cast their votes for the more traditional, conservative country contestants… like Adam Cunningham. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Adam Pearce (Team Miley)
Adam has a fantastic, ferocious rock voice, but the Led Zep cover band frontman has some corny onstage habits he needs to kick — like his tendecy to prowl the stage in endless, nervous circles, not to mention all that excessive hairography. However, every Voice season needs a longhaired rocker dude, and Adam P. is the only longhaired rocker dude of Season 13. I think if Miley, a rock chick herself with impeccable taste, gives him some newer tunes that prove he’s more than just a Foreigner/Deep Purple karaoke type, he could stick around a while. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Hannah Mrozak (Team J.Hud)
Hannah is a classic Clarkson-style pop/soul balladeer, and though she has faded into the background for much of this season, her Knockout Rounds performance of Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain,” which resulted in the final dramatic Steal of Season 13, established her as a strong contender — and Brooke Simpson’s stiffest competition this season. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Adam Cunningham (Team Adam)
Like Miley, Adam Levine is determined to win with a country contestant (and rub it in his longtime rival Blake’s face, of course). Adam almost achieved this goal in Season 11, when his bro-country contender Josh Gallagher placed fourth and country-crossover pop singer Billy Gilman was runner-up, but maybe his dastardly dream will come true with this guy. While Adam the C’s earlier performances were generic meat-‘n’-potatoes country, his gruff Lee Ann Womack/Chris Stapleton remake in the Knockouts was a revelation. If Adam the L continues to push Adam the C down that singer-songwriter lane, that lane just might lead to the finale. (Making the victory even more sweet would be the fact that Cunningham was originally a member of Team Blake.) Song choice will be key here. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Shi’Ann Jones (Team J.Hud)
Shi’Ann, at age 15, is the youngest semifinalist in the top 20 — a fun fact that will surely be trotted out at every opportunity this season. (“I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU ARE ONLY 15!!!”) Obviously Shi’Ann’s inexperience may hinder her, and the novelty of her youth will only get her so far; from this point onward, she must be graded on the same curve as everyone else, even 40-year-olds Red Marlow and Esera Tuaolo. But Jennifer Hudson sees a younger mini-me version of herself in Shi’Ann, and is therefore likely to give this girl special guidance — so Shi’Ann could be this year’s Wé McDonald or Jacqui Lee. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Emily Luther (Team Adam)
There’s no doubt that this theater-trained, Berklee-schooled jazz chanteuse is one of Season 13’s most techincally skilled vocalists. But even her own coach Adam said she’s “almost too perfect.” She lacks charisma and doesn’t pop onscreen like some of her opponents, and she seems much older than her 24 years. It’s easy to see why her former YouTube duet partner Charlie Puth’s career soared, while hers has stalled. I think Emily could have a bright future on Broadway, but sadly, I don’t know how far she can go on this show. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Red Marlow (Team Blake)
This dyed-in-the-flannel everyman could not be more obvious Team Blake material if he’d showed up wearing an “Ol’ Red”-era mullet and drinking a Starbucks cup filled with whiskey. A “country as cornbread” (or “country as a wheelbarrow full of turnip greens”) dude who rattles off one-liners like “I’m as excited as a fat kid at a candy store,” he sure has a big, made-for-TV personality, and Middle America will love the lug. Until this week, I’ve found his performances to be typical weeknight bar-band fare andand corny as cornbread, so I’d rather Middle America’s country votes go to Ashland Craft or Adam Cunningham — but Red’s “Outskirts of Heaven” Knockout performance proved that he has a softer side and doesn’t always have to be the Season 13 class clown. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Mitchell Lee (Team Blake)
Mitchell has the cougar-baiting, hunky good looks to make America’s housewives swoon, and with his excellent pitch, he’s easy on the ears as well as the eyes. He’s already shaping up to be the Barrett Baber of Season 13. However, there’s a Ken-doll slickness, forced smiley-ness, and smugness to his performances that I find offputting, and he plays it safe with his song choices. I’d love to see more grit and gravitas from Mitchell, so he can become the Brendan Fletcher of Season 13 instead. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Anthony Alexander (Team Adam)
Young Anthony has teen-heartthrob appeal and tons of potential, but even his coach Adam admits that he’s “not fully cooked yet.” With only four weeks of Playoffs, will Anthony have the time to “cook” and catch up with his more, um, seasoned opponents? I am not so sure. Anthony has talent, but he may have been better off waiting to try out for Season 14. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Jon Mero (Team Adam)
Jon’s confidence can sometimes come across as cockiness, and the professional corporate gig singer’s performances (“Blame It on the Boogie”? really??) don’t feel modern or relevant. It doesn’t bode well for his chances that his Knockout Round performance was montaged — a rarity on this series — and not even uploaded by NBC to YouTube. (Photo: NBC)
Source: Yahoo Music
Tumblr media
Esera Tuaolo (Team Blake)
As an openly gay former NFL player, Esera has by far this season’s most fascinating (and timely) backstory. Does he have the pipes to back that up, though? I sense that he’s made it this far mainly because he makes for compelling television. It’s unlikely that there’s a Voice touchdown in his future. (Photo: NBC)

Hyperallergic: Art Movements
Kota Ezawa, “Chez Tortoni” (2015), part of a series inspired by the artworks stolen from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in 1990 (courtesy Murray Guy Gallery)
Art Movements is a weekly collection of news, developments, and stirrings in the art world.
Protestors gathered at the Museum of Modern Art to demand the removal of Larry Fink, the CEO of BlackRock, from the institution’s board. Fink was one of a number of CEOs invited to discuss economic policy with President Donald Trump earlier this month.
Two more works found in Cornelius Gurlitt‘s collection — a drawing by Adolph Menzel and a painting by Camille Pissarro — were returned to the heirs of their Jewish owners.
Artists and campaigners will protest in London this weekend to demand the closure of the LD50 gallery in Dalston. According to the Guardian, the gallery has hosted a number of events involving white supremacist and far right speakers including Brett Stevens, whose writing inspired Anders Breivik, the perpetrator of the 2011 attacks in Norway.
A bipartisan group of 24 United States Senators signed a letter urging President Trump against slashing or abolishing federal funding for the National Endowments for the Arts and Humanities (NEA and NEH).
Rotherwas Project 2: Kota Ezawa, Gardner Museum Revisited opened at the Mead Art Museum at Amherst College. The exhibition consists of Ezawa’s digital drawings of the 13 artworks stolen from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in 1990, as well as a six-minute animation based on security footage recorded the night before the robbery. The footage was released by the FBI in 2015.
Guercino, “Madonna with the Saints John the Evangelist and Gregory the Wonderworker” (1639) (via Wikipedia)
Italy’s Carabinieri art crime squad recovered a Guercino painting stolen from a church in Modena in 2014. Three men were arrested after they attempted to sell “Madonna with the Saints John the Evangelist and Gregory the Wonderworker” (1639) to a collector in Casablanca for around £800,000 (~$1 million).
Vjeran Tomic, a cat burglar dubbed the “Spider-Man,” was sentenced to eight years in prison for stealing five paintings — works by Amedeo Modigliani, Fernand Léger, Georges Braque, Henri Matisse, and Pablo Picasso — from the Paris Museum of Modern Art on May 20, 2010.
A wrought iron gate bearing the Nazi slogan “Arbeit macht frei” (“Work sets you free”) was returned to the Dachau concentration camp two years after it was stolen.
Approximately 7,700 tributes left in the streets of Paris in the wake of the November 13, 2015 terrorist attacks were digitized and made publicly available by the Archives de Paris.
Jenny Heinz, a longtime patron of the Metropolitan Opera and New York Philharmonic, was denied entry to a performance at Lincoln Center after she refused to remove an anti-Trump sign attached to her jacket.
Shia LaBeouf, Nastja Säde Rönkkö, and Luke Turner ceased their participatory artwork, “He Will Not Divide Us,” after gunshots were reportedly fired near its new location at the El Rey Theater in Albuquerque. The Museum of the Moving Image announced on February 10 that it had closed the work in order to “restore public safety.” In a statement, the artists attributed the closure to “political pressure.” LaBeouf was arrested and charged with assault after an altercation outside the museum last month.

Arts patron and philanthropist Shelley Rubin filed a lawsuit against Nisha Sabharwal and her husband, Mohit. Rubin claims the couple, who she met at an event at the Asia Society in 2009, conned her into buying $18 million in knockoff jewelry.
A tract of Roman road was discovered during the construction of a McDonald’s in Marino, Italy.
Bath and North East Somerset Council approved a 100% cut to its small project grants for the arts in order to save £433,000 (~$544,000) by 2020. The decision was condemned by Equity, the UK’s trade union for actors, stage managers, and models.
Transactions
Aidan Koch, Alternate Paris Review 213 cover (2015) (Anne Koyama Collection of Comic Art, the Ohio State University Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum)
Annie Koyama donated over 250 pieces of original artwork by contemporary American cartoonists to the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum.
John and Anna Sie donated $12 million toward the remodeling of the Denver Art Museum’s North Building.
The Moody Foundation donated $2.1 million toward the Museum of Street Culture in Dallas.
