HIIIII come look at my D&D character (details under the cut :) )

Her name is Ilynn :) she is an elf evocation wizard who was born in the High Ice, left to travel, and then ventured down to Icewind Dale once they heard the situation to help out with the Frost Maiden Issue lmao

She’s for Rime of the Frost Maiden! Very cool (I’m so nervous AAHHH)

She’s pretty spunky, all things considered - that sort of state after being weathered by time where you’re just like “fuck it. I’m going to do whatever the hell I want” (she’s like 500. The rest of the party is in their 20-50’s. And no one knows this yet which is making me LOSE it)

…she DOES still have a 9 in charisma though. And I honestly don’t want to change it just because that is so funny to me

Local elf has no swag, no charm, fails every check

She is ALSO 5’7. And her hair has so much volume and is so dense that her ears are concealed completely. AND she dyed her hair. So she literally does not look like an elf from the High Ice in any shape or form, at all (there are Reasons for all of these things believe me)

Right now, they’re the shortest in the party and it’s making them lose it a little bit

it isn't long before the commander follows suit, dismounting from her own horse in swift yet fluid movements. boots crunch against the snow, creating both a foreign sound and one which is oddly satisfying. she begins to understand why the other has been so eager to return. for leksa, the sun through the trees, the scent of pine and babbling of the winding rivers are all familiarities of home. for the azgedans, the same can be said for the icy winds and vast, white arctic SURROUNDING them. leksa crouches down, mimicking ontari as she examines the quality of the snow. " you will have to teach me the proper technique. " words are said with a subtle, teasing smile. of course, the heda is always STRATEGIC, no matter the circumstance, so creating sculptures in the snow is hardly any different.

she is ever excited , ontari breathes air like fresh snow & all feels right with the world. it is as if the the morning fog that rolled through azgedian mountains , the scent of freshly fallen snow , and the winds that chilled a morning cup of hot tea were the quintessential parts of life required to illicit happiness. she wonders what the commander’s equivilant of the sensation could possibly be. trikru was far too south to be any fun int he winter from what she’s heard , though , maybe their season of choice is in fact autumn. as thoughts race in the young earthborn’s mind she is already halfway off her horse and onto the soft ground , checking the snow , ensuring it has not already frozen over. once she had ditermined it was good she turns back to the heda , eyes wide with childlike excitement. « let us begin. »

Finally making an OC info post- by no means is this all of them, just ones that are most active and/or live in my head rent free.

First up- Rhys (DnD 5e - Rime of the Frostmaiden)

20 years Old, Half Orc, Half Elf (sweet baby angel) , He/Him

Fighter- Echo Knight

Absolute Ray of Sunshine; Rhys is from Icewind Dale; more specifically the Nomadic Reghed Tribe of the Elk.

He's unfamiliar with the outside world and even includes settlements in his own country

He's a Himbo basically a big dog.

This campaign lead him to leaving his tribe for the first time after an unfortunate accident which turned him into a small 'painted child' and searching for his missing sister. (both these are sorted now!)

*Rhys found an old oil painting of this child, blacked out and next thing he knew he was that small elf child. Her skin and clothing having the texture of painted canvas, and bleeds paint.

For a good chunk of the campaign he was just a totally normal elf- whose shadow didn't match with the body

Extremely laid back, Dhalas talks like they fight- dancing around, seemingly without rhyme or reason and occasionally clumsy.

Must lockpick everything- she's not actually super interested what's inside, she just wants to see the workmanship of the locks and trashtalk how bad they are.

Yeah she's smooching the vampire. (and Halsin)

Naturally cares for others, even at the cost of her own wellbeing.

Has a Phobia of anything touching/going near her eyes- so the start of the game is A Time for Fox.

His Father Died in his late teens, attacked in Coerthas thinking he and Arslan were Dravanians.

He's extremely soft and protective for the Scions/his friends

Hm I have an obnoxiously long list of ttrpg characters I've played over the years.

Zaldur: undead Redemption Paladin, once a cruel mercenary in life, now incredibly guilty for his past life and current undeath. VERY complicated story since he's my only character I played all the way to lvl 20.

Isaac: Spore Druid in a Bloodborne 5E thing. Scientist infected by the Beast Blood mutated parasitic fungus that is killing him. Mad scientist who loved experimenting with seeing what kind of strange fungus would grow from the beastly corpses. Ended up reincarnated as the first mushroom-person after dying in the final boss.

Isaac Cuil: Monster of the Week character. A corporate Agent supernatural investigator that was once accidentally killed then revived by a "Goddess". Works for an evil corporation and became a mole against it, eventually forming a counter organization to research and protect supernatural creatures from his bosses unknowingly. Eventually a disciple of the Goddess who killed him.

Rustbeard: Rust (spore) Druid Junkion in a Transformers game. Reformatted old man. Sort of a healer but also a (retired) mad scientist

Vask: Aberrant Sorcerer that was the guinea pig of a mad mage, sole survivor of the experiments that made him into an aberration-blooded psion. An experienced adventurer of some renown.

Joggin: Fathomless Warlock Halfling, Frostmaiden game. Once a petty thief in Neverwinter that was captured in a heist gone wrong. Shipped off to a prison in Icewind Dale but managed to escape and nearly drown, meeting his surprisingly benevolent Patron. (backstory predated the D&D movie by a few years)

Tham Loto: Psi-Warrior Fighter, Shadar-Kai, agender. Only used in oneshots but backstory of exile from Shadowfell and a desire to explore due to not having a home to return to.

Chimeratron: Beast Barbarian Transformer from same setting as Rustbeard, an amalgam of multiple beastformers, very happy being a monster but still seeking revenge against the mad scientist that made them

Fisher of Men: OCT character, a crabman from a once lush ocean world that has been reduced to a Mad Max wasteland as the oceans were stolen, forced to become a bounty hunter. Tried to join a fighting tournament between fighters from many worlds for the hope of a God's Wish to bring back his worlds oceans

Slochini: Air Genasi Bard, former noble exiled after playing a haunted song in a performance that killed and traumatized many in attendance. Drawn to seek out the source of the song that came to them in dreams.

Kirim: Lizardfolk Ranger, celebrity chef. Raised by Dwarven monster hunters. Got a recipe/autobiography book deal thanks to a God of Stories he whipped in the face. Has a feathered velociraptor animal companion that he dotes on.

Slrrp: Plasmoid Artificer, Spelljammer. Merchant's child who decided they wanted to explore the many different worlds they heard about from traders coming to their slime-covered planet

Mezeve: Plantoid Necromancer Wizard. Once in a Stellaris setting they're now in a weird world filled with the extinct or near extinct. Doesnt bother them since their species has been reduced to a single seed or sapling before

Boulder: Warforged Ancients Paladin. Former warbot that was killed in an ancient battle but was dug up by druids revitalizing the area (source of his name, they thought he was a big rock) and learned to love and appreciate nature and decided to protect. DEFINITELY predates Bastion Overwatch

Charles: Minotaur in a Fabula Ultima game. A simple farmer who got lost, sent on a mission by a prophetic sphinx (who he ends up marrying in the post game)

Duck: New Fabula Ultima character. A goblin exiled from Fairy Land who is quite literally cursed with bad luck. A veteran of some Fairy Land wars.

Carnigore: Oh where to start. Originally a Beast Barbarian in a weird 5E "hack" where she was a biotech Mech. Then a Monster Hunter. Most recently the threat in my Monster of the Week campaign where she's an artificially created creature called a Homunculus that was the "sister" of the were-thylacine player

When people ask me for the truth, the whole truth, and nothin' but the truth, I like to start from the top. So, by way of introduction, here's how I started out:

Legend 0f Tha Silvermaul

This is tha tale of tha MC Silvermaul

Badass dragonborn fightin' monsters an' he kill 'em all

Rhymin' fast as lightning listen up to catch it all

Ya might learn something new like how to pronounce ixitxachitl

To tha Silvermaul clan he was tha black egg of tha family

While tha other broods were rumblin' he'd be two-steppin' hammily

Tha adults let it ride, "He'll give it up when he's older!"

But he learnt more moves than there's eyes on a beholder!

When it came time to make his way in tha world

He revealed his dream with a banner unfurled

Singin' C-H-R-Y-S-O-P-

H-Y-L-A-X is me!

But his olds huffed and puffed an' tha dream was rebuffed an' he told 'em, "Get stuffed!"

He ended up cuffed up roughed up by tha broods wearin' hoods and they dumped him in tha woods

Tha captain reacted with some spiteful jibes

Some were fans some were haters some were…procrastinators

Tha captain was knocked out, tha MC was locked out

From the bars and tha taverns tha Legion was blocked out

But everyone there said tha joint was rocked out!

I - icarus by the staves. The staves were right. I have not seen the light for days.

C - grand canyon by puscifer. Another stretch but I don't care because it's stuck in my head rn and I wanted to include it

L - like the dawn by the oh hellos. Reminds me of my OC Verdant Green!

D - a death by an unkindness. It's been stuck in my head for a month and it gives me Emotions about the Rime of the Frostmaiden campaign I'm in

oh control weather. i remember when one of my players used that and pissed off the frostmaiden c:

      gathered intelligence was the lifeblood of their operation. mission reports often flooded into tseng’s office requiring direction where the general infantry would not suffice. he took particular care in pouring over the details and moving forward with any decision that needed action, sure not to tangle the turks into any business that wasn’t worthy of their time. so with aizhan hand-delivering a report he knew it was something that required attention. no questions asked.

      he holds the folder in his palm like an infant, eyes scouring each page before he speaks ------ not directing his attention to her fully with his study. “ fresh intel? ” of course it was, but time was so often a factor in his decisions. there’s a few sentences on the second page that give the turk pause, and when he processes it he closes the folder and finally turns a honeyed gaze to aizhan.

      “ and your input on this? ” off the books. any other information she might have that didn’t grace the page.
