Hey there just wanted to say I absolutely love your interpretation of Byakuran. Sure he's read as happy go lucky and has a lot of extroverted thought patterns and interests but you don't gloss over actual canon references to his motivation and emptiness issues and self described pitfalls and I was so happy to come back into the fandom and see more of that. i want to repay this kindness with a drabble or something but i am not comfy with any other character so... hmm. is there something in your life you are struggling with, anon? let me dump him being positive/give advice @ you. like, he was a counseling-psychologist (mental health counselor) when he got bluebell + tons of parallel world wisdom. i like writing that sort of thing anyway.

(i will fight anyone who tells me byakuran isn't capable of positivity toward others because A) he thinks incredibly highly of tsuna on numerous occasions B) has nothing but positivity for uni now C) where do u think genkishi's loyalty came from. kind words are a huge part of how he was manipulative!!! ... but i digress.)

Reborn Day (March 11th)

reborn day - just about everything posted on march 11th will have this

currently working on that fic i was talking about! tldr first part is just.

after too much watching other close “pairs” of 2 people being, well, close. byakuran was just remembering hey, he had someone who considered him close. and he threw away that person.

so when byakuran went to find that person again -- genkishi -- he just got rejected because A) genkishi has no memories B) was totally fine where he was C) byakuran was creeping him out.

so now he is there in depression hell with no energy and lack of appetite and general stuff like that. his lil arc is that he has to Move On and that close friendships are not the only friendships.

so this is what i am tentatively doing for the Moving On part

- kikyo is the one who worries the most, checks in all the time.

- bluebell brought marshmallows several times. byakuran found out the hard way that he should eat something substantial instead of only marshmallows for days. she then tries to forcefeed him substantial things even when he’s not hungry.

- zakuro brought him some Real Food (unknown meat covered in a dark red sauce) and bluebell was like "He likes marshmallows, not this spicy... whatever that is!" (byakuran still ate it, even if he had so many tears and had to stop to heal his own mouth several times.)

- daisy slid in to wake byakuran up from another depression nap... he'd made a flower crown. that kid knows how to make him smile. anyone will smile if they don't just see a zombie.

- torikabuto stood there and listened to byakuran's venting/loneliness with 'i understand' or something, recounted how it was like when byakuran took him in when his own monastery turned on him.

and like. everyone knows about shoichi and uni being there but like. shoichi is His Own Person and not There A Lot, and uni would try her best but really can’t fix every problem. both really do have to trust the wreaths here.

(screams) THE WREATHS!!!! they are There. A LOT. they care!!!! so much!!!!

i don’t think i’m going to write them directly but they will get the above.

... anyway, that’s it.
