LOCATION: jonah & julian’s room TIME: after heidi’s announcement, before the auditions AVAILABILITY: closed @juliansbennet
Be it a coastal town in Alabama or a prestigious university in Washington, Zahra could weaponize her beauty to her advantage on anywhere. All it took was a few sugary words and coquettish smiles for the freshman manning the residence desk to grant her access into Julian and Jonah’s shared room.
That was the most impressive part of her little break-in. Zahra knew her plan wasn’t great, but she was growing antsy. Julian knew about her being in possession of Orson’s notebook, the one she stole the very night he died. And what did Zahra know? That Julian was a snoop who had to work a shitty job to pay for tuition? The cards weren’t in her favor, and Zahra had to change that.
After waving off the temptation to throw Jonah’s clothes out the window, Zahra began her search underneath Julian’s mattress and wasn’t surprised when she found nothing. That would’ve been too convenient and more poetic than she deserved. His dresser, nightstand, and desk were also void of anything that could be used against him, but what exactly did she expect? That she’d find Orson’s severed head in his underwear drawer? Julian wasn’t like her, rough and lecherous. He was good, and didn’t deserve to have his friend look through his closet for skeletons that didn’t exist.
The heavy blanket of guilt on her shoulders wasn’t enough to deter her from rifling through his suitcase. After that, Zahra promised herself that she’d leave. She’d already spent too long in the room as it was, and it was only a matter of time before Julian or Jonah came in.
There was something bulging through the inside pocket of the suitcase. A phone, and not Julian’s. Why would Julian have someone else’s phone? It was password protected and the generic lock screen background revealed nothing. Zahra inspected the phone’s familiar case, and realized she recognized it. She’d seen countless times before, in the same hands that used to carry around the notebook she was now in possession of.
The door opened.

What Your Preferred Presidential Candidate Says About You
by Peter Kremidas
Hi. Well are horoscopes bullshit or what?
You know what isn’t? This 100 percent accurate assessment of your personality based on what presidential candidate you prefer. No I did not include all of them, I’m not a psychopath.
What Your Preferred Presidential Candidate Says About You
Joe Biden - You are incapable of seeing that the film “The Boy In The Striped Pajamas” is just a cynical setup for a meaningless grand tragic moment that uses the holocaust as a prop. When you imagine a Nazi holding hands with “a black” (your words), it makes you cry. Or you’re Jim Carey in awe of what this man can do with his face. If none of this describes you, then you are a moth drawn in by his teeth.
Amy Klobachar - You ask kids what they want to be when they grow up and then roll your eyes at their answers.
Bernie Sanders - That one part in Return of The King when Aragorn, the first king of men in ages after the long reign of Denethor The Steward of Gondor, says, “My friends, (Pause, “huh? what?” say the faces of Merriodoc, Pippen, Samwise, and Frodo) you bow to noone,” and then they all bow to the hobbits? It breaks you every time. You’ve got a good heart and also you think that inspiring young voters while scaring the ever loving shit out of old voters is a sound political strategy. You shop ethically.
Michael Bennet - When you first saw the character Mr. Makey on South Park and heard him say “M,kay?”, you thought to yourself, “I would follow that man into hell.”
Elizabeth Warren - You were basically Hermione when you were a kid. Fuck you. Also, so we’ve all had the experience of knowing that somebody didn’t understand what we just said because, upon finishing, there’s just a stare, a pause, and then they start nodding before saying “Yeah!” followed by something not related to what was just said but totally related to what they had previously said. You know that thing? It happens to you often. But to be fair you talk like Ira Glass and they were trying to mentally place where they’ve heard that voice before and that’s probably why they couldn’t focus on your words. Fuck you.
Andrew Yang - You have a real dope idea for an app, bro.
Pete Buttigieg - You just can’t fucking wait to talk about Shakespeare, can you? You can’t sleep without an NPR podcast playing in the background. You have a cabinet full of United States Vice President Bobbleheads. You’re especially proud of your rare mint condition Spiro Agnew because it actually reminds you of something something progressivism something accountability something Trump sigh. You want to see Donald Trump lose a debate. Badly.
Kamala Harris - There was this one time where you said, “Come on, guys. Not all cops are bad.” And then there was this weird pause and one of your friends said “Well, sure, Dayna, but I’m talking about systems, not individuals.” And then someone said, “Yeah, Dayna.” And then you got this look on your face and you said, “Oh.” And you looked like such an idiot and you really drank too much that night. Stuff like this actually happens to you often. But other than that you’re real chill. You want to see Donald Trump lose a debate so bad that he cries, shits his pants, and then starts a physical fight which he also loses.
John Hickenlooper - You’re a republican who accidentally read a real news.
Corey Booker - You consider yourself the office rebel because when they started charging for coffee you started bringing in starbucks every morning for everyone. Eventually the office stopped offering any coffee at all and now it’s all on you to pay for all the coffee everyday, soldier. You did it. People have been asking you to stop. You did it. Despite all the crazy predicaments you constantly get yourself into, you always have good advice and book recommendations.
Beto O’Rourke - When some starts speaking Spanish to you, you smile and nod your head and actually get this look on your face like you’re actually listening. You let them get through the whole fucking thing, smiling and nodding the whole time and then when they’re done you hold your palms to the sky like a balanced scale to heaven and say “Hey, sorry, compadre! No Hablo Spanish!” And then you smile like you’re such a cool person for knowing “hablo” you fucking phony. You don’t know a good senator when you see one. You want to see Donald Trump win a debate, apparently.
Marianne Williamson - You really hated The Hobbit prequels and you need your message to go to the very top. Your dildo is made of crystal. You also have a crystal made of dildo. Because, when you think about it, isn’t everything made of dildo, as it is of this Earth?
Bill DeBlasio - You’re the rare New Yorker who both hates Amazon and doesn’t smoke weed.
Julian Castro - You’re the first among your friends to discover new good music. You have good taste in it, too. And movies too, where do you hear about this stuff? I cannot overstress your eye for good media content. You should really be a writer. Have you ever thought about that? You’re a C-Span junkie who has been saying “I fucking told you so” for the past week and a half and seriously people get it, calm down. And/or you’re his parents.
*Eric Swallwell - Your children’s hands are permanently disfigured from playing catch with lit torches.
Kirsten Gillibrand - You’ve asked to speak to the manager when we go out to restaurants and stuff a lot since we’ve met and for real I’m starting to think it’s you. You think Reece Witherspoon is the hero in “Election”. At one point in your life you let it be known to an authority figure that you have something to say, and you thought they were being, honestly, like really super unfair at the time. But whatever. If they wanted to be immature, that was their prerogative, and no you were not done speaking, and you do not give neither a care nor a fuck on Earth.
Jay Inslee - Yes, it’s organic.
Tulsi Gabbard - “No kidding?” you said, “I love Hawaii. And yeah, to your point, I definitely don’t love war, if you get what I’m saying...which is, um...yes, that. That is what I’m saying...I mean, yeah.” You gulped down a slug of cold brew, anxious to get out of this conversation with your boss. “Fuck it, yeah, I support Tulsi Gabbard.” You concluded, “Why the fuck not, right?”
Trump - Your motto, “Hey, if you want to make an omelette, you gotta pay off a hooker, encourage a dictator to cheat for you, and torture a few kids.”
*I don’t know how to put this into the context of this bit, I just have to tell this story. In a post-debate interview on msnbc, he once again appealed to giving the reigns to power to a younger generation, and not people like Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders, who have been in power for, and this is really what he said, “dozens of decades”. Plural. Like, more than a mere one dozen decades.

via Politics – FiveThirtyEight
Welcome to a weekly collaboration between FiveThirtyEight and ABC News. With 5,000 people seemingly thinking about challenging President Trump in 2020 — Democrats and even some Republicans — we’re keeping tabs on the field as it develops. Each week, we’ll run through what the potential candidates are up to — who’s getting closer to officially jumping in the ring and who’s getting further away.
The Democratic presidential field seems like it’s close to being set. And while the candidates try to differentiate themselves on issues like health care, climate change, education and whether President Trump should be impeached, Joe Biden continues to lead in polls.
Here’s the weekly roundup.
May 17-23, 2019
Michael Bennet (D) The Colorado senator released his plan to combat climate change Monday. It sets a 2050 goal for the U.S. to reach net-zero emissions, calls for the expansion of zero-emission energy options for American households and businesses, and — among other initiatives — includes a pledge to host a global climate summit in the first 100 days of a Bennet presidency.
Next Thursday, Bennet will take part in a CNN town hall in Atlanta.
Joe Biden (D) At a campaign rally in Philadelphia last weekend, Biden defended his bipartisan outlook on governance, pitching his experience of working across the aisle and arguing that it isn’t too late to unite Americans across the political spectrum.
Biden brought in over $2 million through a pair of fundraising events in Miami and Orlando this week, showing a willingness to engage with big-money donors from which much of the Democratic field has shied away.
The former vice president’s campaign took part in a back and forth with North Korea after an opinion piece that was posted on the website of KCNA — the North Korean news agency — said Biden was “misbehaving” and criticized him as someone “who likes to stick his nose into other people’s business and is a poor excuse for a politician.”
Biden’s campaign responded, saying that “it’s no surprise North Korea would prefer that Donald Trump remain in the White House.”
Cory Booker (D) The New Jersey senator issued a plan to “protect reproductive rights” Wednesday in which he pledged to create a “White House Office of Reproductive Freedom” if he is elected. It would coordinate the advancement of “abortion rights and access to reproductive health care” across his administration.
Booker was scheduled to take part in an MSNBC town hall in Iowa on Thursday, but it was rescheduled so that he could remain in Washington for Senate votes. He’ll still travel throughout the Hawkeye State this weekend.
Steve Bullock (D) Bullock’s first week as a presidential candidate included an NPR interview in which he played up his ability to win over voters in his red home state of Montana.
“I’m probably the only one in the race that actually won in a Trump state,” he said. “I mean, I got reelected in 2016. Donald Trump took Montana by 20 points. I won by 4. Twenty-five to 30 percent of my voters voted for Donald Trump.”
After spending three days in Iowa last week, the Montana governor returns to the state next Tuesday for four events.
Pete Buttigieg (D) Buttigieg garnered headlines for his performance in a Fox News town hall last weekend, renewing the debate over whether it is beneficial for Democratic candidates to appear on the news network that is often criticized for its conservative bent.
During his appearance, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, took aim at a pair of the network’s right-wing commentators, arguing that Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham were “not always there in good faith,” pointing specifically to their views on the ongoing immigration policy debate.
After stops in Florida, New York and Washington, D.C., this week, Buttigieg will campaign over the weekend in New Hampshire, with events in Londonderry, Exeter and Keene on Friday and Saturday.
Julian Castro (D) As the Democratic field railed against abortion restrictions passed by legislatures in several states, Castro promised to appoint “an entirely pro-choice cabinet,” saying that the issue transcends any one executive branch department.
Castro appeared on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and responded to criticism that either he or Beto O’Rourke could make a greater political impact by challenging Republican Texas Sen. John Cornyn next year. “I think Beto would be a great Senate candidate,” he joked.
Bill de Blasio (D) A Quinnipiac University poll had some bad news for the New York City mayor. It showed de Blasio with a net favorability rating (favorable rating minus unfavorable rating) of -37 percentage points among voters overall.
Last Friday, de Blasio made his first campaign stop in Iowa, where he toured an ethanol plant with former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack. During the visit, he lashed out at Trump, saying: “Time and again, when there’s an opportunity to help the biofuels industry grow and to create jobs in places like rural Iowa, the Trump administration has favored big petroleum companies, and that has to end.”
John Delaney (D) The former Maryland congressman rolled out a climate action plan with a $4 trillion proposal on Thursday. The central aspect of his plan is a fee on carbon emissions that he says will reduce them by 90 percent by 2050.
“We have to act on climate, and we have to act now,” Delaney said in a statement. “We need a real plan to hit our goals, and we have to listen to actual scientists. This is a real plan that all Americans can support. It is full of new ideas and massive investments in innovation that will both deal with climate change and create jobs in the heartland and all across our country.”
Delaney, however, is not among the slate of Democratic contenders backing the Green New Deal.
Tulsi Gabbard (D) Gabbard, an Iraq War veteran, continued to push her campaign’s focus on foreign policy. In an interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “This Week,” Gabbard said Trump is “leading us down this dangerous path towards a war in Iran.”
She further cautioned that a war in Iran “would actually undermine our national security, cost us countless American lives, cost civilian lives across the region, exacerbate the refugee crisis in Europe and it would actually make us less safe by strengthening terrorist groups” like ISIS and al-Qaida.
“As president, I will end these counterproductive and wasteful regime-change wars, work to end this new cold war and nuclear arms race, recognizing how wasteful and costly these are,” she said.
Kirsten Gillibrand (D) Gillibrand unveiled a plan on Wednesday termed the “Family Bill of Rights” to invest heavily in maternal and child health, paid family leave and universal prekindergarten. This proposal is part of Gillibrand’s focus on women, children and families. She is also working to position herself as the most outspoken proponent of abortion rights within the Democratic field.
On Tuesday, she spoke at a rally with other Democrats to protest the new abortion restrictions that states such as Alabama and Georgia have passed. Later in an interview with NPR, she said, “I think President Trump and these very extreme Republican legislators around the country, they are taking this country in a direction that it does not want to go.” She added, “I believe that if President Trump wants a war with America’s women, it’s a war he will have and it is one he will lose.”
Kamala Harris (D) The California senator rolled out a bill to address racial discrepancies in maternal health care, calling for investment in training to reduce bias among health professionals and the early identification of high-risk pregnancies.
On “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Wednesday, Harris accused Trump of holding the nation’s infrastructure “hostage.” Earlier in the day, the president abruptly ended a White House meeting on the issue with Democratic leaders in response to the party’s efforts to continue investigating him.
John Hickenlooper (D) The former Colorado governor pushed back against calls for candidates like him to run for the Senate instead of the presidency, telling Stephanopoulos on “This Week” that he’d be a “difficult candidate as a senator.”
“I’ve spent my whole life putting teams together both as an entrepreneur in the private sector, but also as a mayor and as a governor,” Hickenlooper said. “And by building those teams, we’ve been able to bring people together and do the big progressive things that people said couldn’t be done.”
“That’s the only way we’re going to … be able to bring some common sense to Washington,” he added.
Jay Inslee (D) The Washington governor’s push for a 2020 debate focused on climate change picked up steam this week, with Elizabeth Warren adding her support. “Yes! We need to do everything we can to save our planet,” Warren tweeted.
in April, Inslee wrote: “We have barely a decade to defeat climate change. And whether we shrink to this challenge, or rise to it, is the central question of our time — and it deserves a full DNC debate.”
Amy Klobuchar (D) Klobuchar, who’s attempted to position herself as a moderating voice in the Democratic field, joined demonstrators on the steps of the Supreme Court this week to protest anti-abortion bills that have passed in states like Alabama.
The Minnesota senator said: “I think one of the things I’ve seen in my state is that there are people that hold their own individual beliefs. … But they don’t believe that that means you put those beliefs on other people. And that is exactly what this president has done.”
Seth Moulton (D) Moulton, an Iraq War veteran, announced a plan this week to encourage young Americans to serve their country. Speaking on ABC’s “This Week,” the Massachusetts representative called the proposal “the kind of forward-looking policy that I think we need to meet the challenges of a changing world, to address climate change, to bring broadband to rural communities and to say to America we need a common mission.”
Beto O’Rourke (D) O’Rourke continued his campaign reboot. He appeared on CNN for a town hall, in which he called for impeachment proceedings against Trump. “We should begin impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump — not something that I take lightly,” he said.
Tim Ryan (D) Ryan, who was once against abortion but flipped his stance a few years ago, called for bipartisan solutions to address women’s reproductive rights this week.
“I met women for the first time in my life that had an abortion,” Ryan said at a protest on the Supreme Court steps on Tuesday. “I met women who had to deal with very difficult, complicated circumstances in their pregnancies. And over time, because of the courage of the women who came into my office and who wanted to help craft legislation, I changed my position.”
Bernie Sanders (D) The Vermont senator rolled out a comprehensive education plan that would halt federal funding for charter school expansion, set a teacher pay floor at $60,000, and provide universal free lunches, among other investments.
At a South Carolina event announcing the plan, Sanders drew a connection between education reform and social injustice, noting that changes to public education in recent decades have disproportionately affected African Americans and increased school segregation.
In a CNN interview on Wednesday, Sanders expressed his strongest support yet for an impeachment inquiry, saying that if Trump “continues to not understand the Constitution of the United States” and blocks further subpoenas of staffers and former aides, “it may well be time for an impeachment inquiry to begin.”
Eric Swalwell (D) On the steps of the Supreme Court on Tuesday, the California representative joined seven other 2020 Democratic hopefuls and protesters to speak out against abortion bills that have recently passed at the state level.
Swalwell also appeared on the liberal podcast “Pod Save America” and argued that Democrats shouldn’t dismiss Trump voters, speaking about his parents’ support for the president.
Elizabeth Warren (D) Warren continued to introduce policy proposals. This time, she offered up a platform aimed at protecting women’s reproductive rights. Warren’s plan would “block states from interfering in the ability of a health care provider to provide medical care, including abortion services,” according to her policy rollout.
The senator had a viral moment when she responded to a Twitter user who asked her for relationship advice. “DM me and let’s figure this out,” Warren replied.
The senator apparently went on to call a number of Twitter users asking for advice. “Guess who’s crying and shaking and just talked to Elizabeth Warren on the phone?!?!?” one user tweeted.
Bill Weld (R) Still the sole Republican challenging Trump in the Republican primary, Weld revved up his attacks on the president. “I celebrate that America has always been a melting pot,” Weld said at a speaking event. “It seems he would prefer an Aryan nation.”
Speaking to ABC News after the event, Weld said: “It’s not just that I’m feeling more like going on the attack; it’s also that the president is moving to a deeper level of irresponsibility.”
Marianne Williamson (D) The spiritual adviser and author made her case for the presidency on ABC News’s “The Briefing Room,” arguing that she’s not running just to “elevate a conversation.”
“It’s important that I absolutely be prepared to win and that I make the effort to win,” Williamson told ABC News Senior Washington Reporter Devin Dwyer. “I’m not here just to elevate a conversation. We need to elevate this country”
Andrew Yang (D) Yang was the subject of a Politico Magazine profile that examined his candidacy and ability — thus far — to gain a relatively substantial following through non-traditional media interviews while pushing his universal basic income plan and cautioning about the economic dangers of automation.

The application goes on to state that ‘a wife must submit to her husband’ and a pledge must be signed to that effect.
***** There is controversy over the bill to give people a day off for Election Day. Many people will still have to work, the country never completely shuts down. How many fucking times do I have to say it: VOTE BY MAIL!!!!!!!!!!!
***** So, Scary clown told us Mexico would pay for ‘the wall’. During the campaign he gave actual ideas for that like Mexico giving us a one time payout or else he would not allow Mexican immigrants to western union money back to Mexico. Another idea was that there would be a great ta on that Western union money. It does not seem like they tried any of that and just decided we would pay for the stupid ‘wall.’ How about the money he makes off Trump merch which his website and hotels still sell to pay for it?? How about the $35 million that Trump sold in real estate in 2018? The ‘Wall’ go fund me did not reach its $1billion goal so the $20 million they did collect is being offered for refunds. Some of those people still want that money to go for its purpose so Trump is creating a non- profit. Can’t we use that money to help the border patrol agents and get the backlog in immigration court moving?? That we are still talking about this ridiculous wall and that it had a go fund me page is enough to boggle the normal brain.** I think Kimmel said it best when he suggested that Trump just tell the red hats that the wall has been built.  They believe everything he says so why wouldn’t they believe that??  It would save the country a lot of headaches. ** What the Hell is with his new “wheels and walls” mantra??** Russia caused Brexit too? Putin is a menace.** Another sink hole appeared the White House. WTF?
***** The congressional budget office says the shut down cost the U.S. 11 billion
***** Trump is talking to Herman Cain about a job on the Federal Reserve Board.
***** The GOP is selling fake bricks that cost about 50 cents for $20 each to send to Senate Dems. Some have said that the Dems should sign them and sell them and give the money to government workers. ** Why are Russian jets fucking around on the North American coastline??
***** Roger Stone has been indicted on 5 counts of false statements, 1 count of obstruction and 1 count of witness tampering. The FBI officers who arrested him were part of the shut down and they still did their job!!  He publically and privately claimed to have communicated with Russia. Predictions are that many more indictments are coming down the pike that involve many familiar faces.** Roger Stone has a Nixon tattoo on his back. I feel sorry for his cell mate.-Bill Maher
***** Bill Maher got some flak for comments after Stan Lee died. He wasn’t slamming Lee, but wondered about comic book fans putting away childish things. I suppose that could include weed but point taken.
***** Jared Kushner along with 30 other White House staff was denied top secret clearance but Trump advisor Carl Kline overruled that decision and gave it to them anyway. This has never been done before, this is a job for intelligent agencies.
***** Empire star Jussie Smollett was attacked in Chicago in what cops are saying was a possible hate crime. The attackers were yelling that this was MAGA country, poured bleach on him and put a rope around his neck.  The actor was previously sent a letter full of homophobic and racist slurs which he FBI had been looking into.
***** Ellen page gave us some memorable, powerful words to chew on with her appearance on Stephen Colbert. I am sure she gave courage to many who suffer because of our hate filled administration.
***** Gwyneth Paltrow is being sued from a 2016 ski incident for 3 mil.
***** I gain more and more respect for Seth Meyers. I did not really understand the choice of him as host in the beginning. His notice of local stations, choice of guests and revolving drummers makes for a great show.
***** A Dutch company may have invented a small device that converts heat into cold and Forbes is saying, ‘it could save the planet.’
***** So looking forward to Ryan Murphy’s The Politician which will star Jessica Lange, Gwyneth Paltrow and January Jones.
***** I know that is has happened little by little and we go thru times in our history when things get worse and then things get better but… When did this country get so fucking corrupt?? I mean seriously.. Why is Brendan Dassey still in prison and why is there no real justice for Teresa Halbach? ** Why is Trump still in the White House?**Why are government workers being told to work for nothing?? Why is R Kelly still living it up?? Why are some states going backward in time when it comes to women’s health?? Why do many corporations care more about their own pockets than the children of their employees or the environment around them??** Why does our justice system so often punish big for small infractions and allow the powerful to do anything they want?? **Why is a wall a better idea than infrastructure or warm beds for the homeless or food for our children and why are so many children in cages??
***** How can it be that we are still in a world where people are not allowed to reach their full potential?? Why do so many selfish humans actually fight to live in a world where they actively hold others back? Shouldn’t we all be concerned about the greater good?  We should all be allowed to see a Doctor when we are ill. We should all be able to excel in education if we choose .We should all be able to get a job to fit our skills and work ethic.  Opportunities and the pursuit of happiness should be available to all. Why is this so fucking hard for so many to grasp in this world? Imagine!
***** Sundance premiered the new flick, Big time adolescence with Griffin Gluck and Pete Davidson. Pete has since made no bones about filming in Syracuse. He hated it.
***** Jeff Flake will join CBS news as a contributor.
***** Tom Brokaw is in a bit of trouble for saying Hispanics should work harder at assimilation.
***** The Tom Hanks/ Matthew Rhys film, A beautiful day in the neighborhood has pushed back its release date to Nov. 22.
***** People are illogical and self- centered. Love them anyway. -Hedy Lemarr
*****R.I.P. Bob Einstein, Millie Wiesehan, victims of the Torrance. Ca. bowling alley shooting, Captain Darryl Dragon, Jo Andres, Lamin Sanneh, Carol Channing, Sandra Harmon, Bradley Bolke, the victims of Mediterranean shipwreck, Lorna Doom, victims of the Florida bank shooting, Kaye Ballard, Willie York , Barbara Claman , victims of the mining dam collapse in Brazil and James Frawley.

@turnabout , @weatherall
(nbc’s) passions discourse 2k18!!!
theresa lopez-fitzgerald--the girl who had ONE goal which was to get that tall white man, early 2000′s soap opera version of armie hammer
but kept gettin DERAILED by GWEN HOTCHKISS who u wanted to feel bad for bc HELLO 2000′s Ethan #1 was her MAN FIRST but like---damn gwen was a bitch right?? (but why?? bc james c riley SAID SO)
but also bc the never ending plot of THE ETHAN CRANE TABLOID SCANDAL
while theresa was doing a rendition of ‘She’s All That’\Ugly Betty\Ew Glasses Girl (SHE DID THAT SHE REALLY DID THAT. SHE PRETENDED TO BE SOME UGLY DUCKLING AND GWEN THOUGHT SHE WAS HER UGLY FRIEND BUT REALLY THERESA JUST WANTED 2000′S SOAP OPERA ARMIE HAMMER)--
anyway , the tabloid scandal that lasted the entire run of the show--about how ethan wasnt a crane, but a BENNET bc IVY was doing SAM but married JULIAN for $$$, and theresa AND whitney find out and pilar is like ‘dont tell anyone!!’ but gwen and rebecca (her mother) found out about it and plant the story in some  tabloid that apparently EVERYBODY reads and frames Theresa
and OF COURSE the tabloid is printed and sent to all 20 residents of Harmony on the day of theresa and ethan’s wedding!!!
and proving that she DIDN’T DO THAT is therea’s plot for 7 seasons!!! and ethan NEVER believes HER but believes EVERYTHING gwen tells him bc he’s a fucking idiot.
(meanwhile theresa suffers, gets with fox crane (UPGRADE) but it doesnt last bc she’s always obsessed with ethan even when they recast him :(((
Tabitha plots made the show better IMO bc there’s only so much ethan obession u can take
a thing i never understood was TC’s shed?? for years you never knew waht was in it??? he was always like ‘stay out of my shed?!!!’ and then its revealed its was old tennis pictures?? OKAY TC
Julian and Eve??? He didnt deserve her either.
Eve was harmony’s only doctor.
Kay and Theresa not being BFF’s is was a lost opportunity bc they’re so ONe MAN goal oriented
I wish Charity had died. I wish Miguel had died to.
Fox was with whitney or did i dream that??? he was with Kay for sure. (right??)
the whitney\chad incest storyline was traumatizing.
Best Thing: Making Simone a lesbian.
A Good Thing: making chad A Bicon. A bad thing: giving him another incest storyline. A worse thing: Killing Him Off (to save Ethan #2 of all people).
kay gets miguel once charity and her dumbass premonitions leave.
tabitha’s goal of killing charity---LET HER DO IT
father lonnigan knowing everybody’s secrets but really dedicated to his priest Hippocratic oath
Grace just left?? Sam?? and her 3 kids??? 2 daughters and some white bland some they hook up with paloma (who was later recast) kay and...i just remember kay...(who was recast like 3 times)
Sheridan being Ethan’s aunt but being the same age
Sheridan being friends with Princess Diana and Parallels that followed
Sheridan and Luis Should have been ENDGAME
why the FUCK did he end up with FANCY--SHERIDAN’S NIECE???!!
Sheridan ending up with Antonio (luis’ ugly older BROTHER) was literally the meanest thing ive ever seen on a soap. thats like caitlan not ending up with cole (sunset beach ref!! bc i watched as a child when i shouldnt have!!)
they legit killed off sheridan and luis’s baby
theresa fucking up gwen’s pregancy also
i wanna say theresa carried one of gwen’s babies?? she fucks up her IVF??
theresa having ethan’s baby and naming him Little Ethan--why theresa why
theresa naming her son Little Ethan and then not being able to tell ethan its his son and EVERYBODY KNOWS its his son EXCEPT Ethan.
eve’s biggest sin was being some motown singer to pay for medschool and sleeping with julian crane (a couple of times) (okay maybe A LOT)
passions was trying VERY hard on the interracial relationship front
Ivy’s biggest sin was fucking someone POOR (even tho he was Harmony’s Hottie APPARENTLY)
Pilar deserved a better family and husband--they never gave her a man!!! after YEARS of having to put up ivy’s dumbshit!!!
Julian got his dick cut off?? idr why but it was hilarious.
Tabatha also had julian’s child??? I dont know why. But I know it happened.
no one in harmony escaped fm a pregancy.
they also made tabatha NOT evil towards the end and like why fuck you john c riley for that dumb decision
julian was sometimes british and sometimes NOT
Alister never fucking dying and being a disembodied voice for a majority of the show (LUCKY!!!) but also he was the WORST!!!
Sheridan may or may not have killed either HER mother or Luis’s father??? she had a traumatic childhood. Somehow it’s never revealed that she’s julian’s daughter (IT NEVER MADE SENSE FOR HER TO BE JULIAN’S SISTER!!!)
Ethan Crane was Still The Worst bc he couldn’t make up his dumbass mind between Gwen and Theresa--like CONSTANTLY and then when she ‘tried’ to move on he’d suddenly be like ‘Oh HEY theresa’ (fuck u ethan)
and FUCK u john c riley for never giving theresa someone else to temporarily be obsessed with (what the fuck was even the jared plot line??)
but also rest in piece john c riley bc he truly gave us a masterpiece where he did EVERY RIDICULOUS PLOT BECAUSE HE COULD--harmony zombie prom, harmony reenacting titanic, carrie prom (???), the red voices in the attic, TIMMY being the only voice of goddamn reason in harmony, that one year alistar tricks the entire cast to go to rome one a murder tour, the tsunami in HARMONY which they placed somewhere near BOSTON (OKAY!)
to THIS DAY i cannot get the theme song out of my head, which for some reason i always pictured charity singing it?? bc it was annoying and i found her annoying also.

When a sorcerer kidnapped and murdered the Queen of ____________, the King went full psycho and had all of the sorcerers in the kingdom put to death b/c he deemed them to be a danger to society ... even though they had lived in harmony up until that point.
There’s basically three different groups ATP, seventeen years later. There are those who agree w/ the King and believe that sorcerers are too powerful and dangerous and should be killed.
Those who believe that there are good and bad sorcerers, just as there are good and bad people and that they, as a whole, do not deserve to be persecuted for the sins of others
Those who believe that sorcerers should rule and that normal people are inferior to them. Some want them to suffer as they have.
EMILY BLUNT (taken by kate aa) new Queen of a country divided, knows she needs to unite them, somehow!!!! murdered her father for the throne, over the years, he’d been driven insane w/ grief over his dead wife, michelle never believed, even as a child, that his extreme way of dealing with the problem was the answer, since then she saw him grow more and more unreasonable and the only way she could save her people was to kill her dad! was NOT an easy thing for her to do, despite this, and the guilt weighs heavily on her, always wanted to be queen but nOT like this, was born and bred to put her country before anYTHING ELSE, being a woman, she wasn’t the first in line (even though she was the eldest), recently discovered that she is a sorceress but has told no one, unsure of her abilities! her new discovery has only made her even more determined to resolve the persecution of her people but she knows that she is on thin ice! many people already suspect her of fowl play re: her father and brother and she needs all the support she can get to make any real change, her younger brother was next in line but she didn’t have faith in him, either: he had always been irresponsible and impulsive, didn’t have it in her to kill him but instead cast a spell upon him so that he does not remember who he is and exiled him to the furthest reaches of her kingdom, everyone believes that he is dead, michelle is the first queen to ever rule w/o a husband, means to abolish the law that she needs a man by her side but she knows that most of the country would see the throne pass to her uncle vs. see her sit the throne alone, that being said, she realizes that she may need to compromise to keep her position ... she is currently hosting LEONARDO DICAPRIO, a king from her neighboring nation, with the prospect of forming an alliance w/ him
CHARLES DANCE (reserved by kate aa) uncle to mdocks, suspects that she murdered his brother and/or nephew, pretends to harbor a great love for his older brother now that he’s dead (even though he considered killing him, himself, for the throne) means to prove that mdocks killed him (whether it is true or not) plans to prove that her sisters were in on it, too and seize the throne for himself (or at least, implicate keira knightley. he is confident that he could easily rule through alexis bledel).
KEIRA KNIGHTLEY (taken by lizzy) - princess, witty, clever, flirtatious, impulsive, loves to have fun! can def be a little self-centered, upset over the death of her father and brother but pretends that she’s fine!!!!!!! (she isn’t) engaged to toby stephens, would have hATED that idea a few years ago but now she knows that her sister needs all the support she can get and an alliance with stephens would be a good thing!!!!!! also hopes that her marriage with stephens might be enough to spare alexis having ot marry at all!!!!!! alexis is the (1) person that she consistently thinks of before herself!!! once secretly had a thing with matthias but when he asked her to run away with him, she literally laughed in his face???!? and was like haha as if i’m a princess and ur nothing???? but tbh afterwards realized how much she loved him but now she’s lost him so that’s fun!!!! pretends she doesn’t care about that, too, but that’s not true at all!!!1
ALEXIS BLEDEL (open) - princess, beth march vibes! super sweet and kind but quiet and shy!!! has severe social anxiety!!!!!!! would rather die than talk to you!!!! only feels comfortable around her sisters, knows that the alliance with xavier sameuls is her duty but tbh marrying him (or anyone) terrifies her!!!!!!!!!!!! wishes she was braver like her sisters, doesn’t realize the strength she does has!!!! thinks she’s worthless a lot of the time, super talented!!!! with the piano and drawing and singing (altho she doesn’t like to sing for anYONE) needs a self confidence boost!! likes animals more than people, her uncle scares her
DAVID OAKES (taken by lizzy)- son and heir of one of the wealthiest families, probably a noble, def a womanizer and terrible flirt, doesn’t have a filter and doesn’t care to get one anytime soon, the bane of his father’s existence, hates his parents and his sister but would DIE for julian morris in a heart beat, can be a real asshole!!!!! will say mean things to your face, says it is because he’s just That Honest but really its only because it is easier for him to be mean than kind, alicia vikander’s social climbing father keeps trying to push her on him and honestly he would marry her in an instant!!! loves her spirit and her snark and basically everYTHING about her!!! she doesn’t love him back though and he doesn’t blame her, know she can do better, doesn’t stop him from flirting with her???? doesn’t honestly think anything will ever come of it, for sure doesn’t wanna force her
JESSICA CHASTAIN (open) sister to david oakes and julian morris, a PIECE OF WORK!!!! Extra™ secretly a sorceress (although how she keeps anything a secret is beyond me?!??!? about as subtle as avelina beaumont tbh) thinks her brothers are idiots, recently came into contact with mads mikkelson and is his #1 supporter, has become a spy for him (although again not sure how good she is b/c she isn’t subtle??!?!!) probably a little insane??? in love with michael fassbender dESPITE the fact that he is just a normal human, secretly trying to figure out to ~give~ him abilities so that they can be together in mad’s future world, wants to murder dominique mcelligott
JULIAN MORRIS (taken by kate aa) sweetheart!!!!!!! super caring and affectionate, a little awkward sometimes but tries his best, has feelings for hayley bennet but doesn’t know how to act around her, his family wants him to marry amanda seyfried. has always been a man of duty! so he’s trying to court her but his heart isn’t in it, brother to jessica chastain and david oakes, loves both of his siblings a lot!! definitely closer with david ... gets a little ??!? @ jessica sometimes but definitely thinks she’s harmless #facepalm
ALICIA VIKANDER (open) sister to tom hardy, middle class, father wants to marry her off to rich man??? possibly david oakes, hates the idea of marrying him!!! hates him tbh!!!!! best friends w/ joanna vanderholm/super protective of her! something of a lady during the day but a badass sorcerer hunter at night! in pursuit of mads mikkelson, super smart and capable!!! knows her father will disown her if she doesn’t marry but honestly doesn’t care???!? can take care of herself.
TOM HARDY (open) brother to alicia vikander, cynical/grumpy, speaks in grunts, hates the world, thinks most people aren’t good, his sister is one of the few exceptions to this rule, grew up educated/in the middle class and his father kept trying to get him to marry well/pushed him towards the two older staffords but tom honestly disliked both of them and definitely had nO intention of ever being a royal, sick to death of his father tbh and one day just picked up and leFT, looks like he will kill you but actually a cynical cinnamon roll, loyal only to himself and his sister, gun for hire, has no idea that his sister is a sorcerer hunter on the DL, knows she’s super capable but wouldn’t want her putting herself into danger, saves his money and hopes to be able to help his sister secure her freedom, doesn’t want her to ever have to marry to support herself! heart eyes @ louisa
RACHEL MCADAMS (open) - middle class, thief, con-artist, trying to catch leonardo’s attentions (but also his money), pretending to be a wealthy noblewoman from another country, in reality she is little the daughter of prostitute and a serial killer?
NICOLE KIDMAN (open) -  upper class, was once an extremely sought after young lady, but she ran away with josh harnett against her father’s wishes, living with him in poverty was a huge culture shock but she was so happy!!!!!!! one day though, she came home to find her husband with blood on his hands ... he had killed his own brother in the line of duty. nicole knew that his brother would never harm a fly!!! and she couldn’t believe that josh was capable of doing such a thing. left him immediately and returned home!!!! since then, her father has been trying to marry her off properly ever since but no one wants her now that she’s been married and divorced. super sad. misses josh crowe every hour of every day. doesn’t know what she did to make him leave her
XAVIER SAMUELS (open) - upper class, brother to nicole kidman and amanda seyfried, enaged to alexis bledel, loves her a lot and always has tbh, honestly sees no downside to marrying her!!??? he knows that marrying a princess would bring honor and prestige to their family and he hopes that w/ that, would come more possibilities for nicole to remarry and be happy!!!
AMANDA SEYFRIED (open) - younger sister to nicole, a little spoiled but sweet, best friends with alexis bledel, they get along b/c amanda loves to talk and alexis loves to listen, talks up her brother a lot, hopes that alexis will marry him and they will be sisters!!!! knows her dad would like her to marry julian morris, has no interest in him at all!!!! finds him to be dull and boring. was initially irritated by james mcavoy flirting with her but has recently decided that she likes him, too. or at least, she is enjoying playing hard to get. acts like she loves julian morris to make him jealous.
MADS MIKKELSON (open) -a sorcerer who is trying to find all the other sorcerers to protect and train them and then basically enslave all ~normal~ humans while he rules the world and lets them live in the same fear and isolation as he’s lived his entire life!
LUPITA NYUNG’O (open) - direct poor, servant, secret sorceress, was discovered by mads mikkelson, basically adopted by him, he is training her!!! the first person in her life to treat her like a human!!! loves him so much!!!!!! was initially skeptical about his plans but has come around! he’s the best person she knows and she trusts him completely!
LEONARDO DICAPRIO (taken by lizzy) insane!!!!! the WORST!!!! became king of his small country a few years ago and has already drained it of its resources!!!! has come to propose to michelle dockery! hoping that they will unite their two countries into one and she can help his country financially and he can help her but being a man at her side/allow her to rule. he honestly has no intention of letting her take the reigns but he will let her think whatever she likes until that point. infatuated with scarlett johannson and means to make her his mistress once he’s married.
JAMES MCAVOY (open) prince/brother to leonardo dicaprio, super flirty, has a dark sense of humor, thinks his family is The Worst, has a thing for amanda seyfried, keeps trying to flirt with her but she won’t give him the time of day ... which only encourages him even more, thinks he’s the greatest but he’s actually the worst, reckless! kind of an idiot sometimes, will probably die doing something stupid
CHARLIE HUNNAN (open) brother of dominique, in love with winona ryder!!!! has a will they/won’t they thing going on with her, tries not to give her the wrong idea but definitely does! loves her a lot but knows that what he does is dangerous and would never want to put her in harm’s way so he never means to ask her to marry him, lawyer, morally upright, believes in justice!!!!! will always do what he thinks is right, whatever the consequences,
DOMINIQUE MCELLIGOTT (taken by lizzy) middle class, secretly harbors sorcerers in her house w/ her bro, doesn’t believe that they are all!!! bad!!! people!!!! was supposed to marry daniel craig a few years ago but he suddenly???? just broke up with her for no reason??? definitely bitter about that … thinks she’s better off w/o him but still has a lot of feels??? bffs w/ scarlett johannson
JOSH HARTNETT (open) ruthless, cunning, full of hatred for those with magical abilities, was once married to nicole kidman but never thought he deserved her, hates everyone but her, hates himself more. eventually she left him after josh killed his own brother b/c he developed his powers, hates that her life has sucked since he left!!! hates what he did to her!!!!!!! has become even more reckless and brutal since the divorce. don’t cross him!!!!! tbh lowkey where he stands anymore re: sorcerers but also neEDS to believe that they are evil and dangerous otherwise he won’t be able to live with himself given what he did to his brother w/o a moment’s hesitation!

Sixth Democratic Presidential Debate
After all the candidate who rose and fall, there are now fourteen major candidates running for to be the Democratic nominee to be President.
Which means I can recap all of them without much trouble.
For this edition of winner and losers, I’ll try to list my favorites both in that they are the favorites and that they are most likely to win the nomination.
We’re going to list by who is leading the RealClearPolls aggregation...
Joe Biden: It’s hard to see how he will not win, Biden has been bouncing between 25% and 30% in about a two-week for the last 6 months or so? Of course, this could be coming from a cycles of a rolling average, but it’s interesting to see the artifact in action. Even though his policy is unclear as his rhetoric, I think Biden has lost trust with people who trust him. C- Bet: 3/2
Bernie Sanders: He’s the hidden card, he always was, but he’s in a good position. He might be in his peak by the early primaries, or perhaps Super Tuesday and that might take him into a position that could be formidable. There’s a sense that Bernie sometimes does well in his policies, but also the crew they have can’t really do pettiness very well. Hmm. A Bet: 2/1
Elizabeth Warren: She took a mighty fall, even though her rhetoric is still good. She still faltering, even when she had a chance to rise again. Perhaps she will rise again, but I’m not sure anymore. Time is short now. Unsure. A- Bet: 5/1
Pete Buttegieg: Another rise and fall, even though this was pretty much pre-mediated. He made a swerve of going right in primaries and going left in general that Obama famously did in 2008, and it was very apparent. He also just feel off and I can his ice town (read: Mckinsey) very soon. Ugh. F- Bet: 20/1
Michael Bloomberg: He has been finding his place in the polls, but he’s betting on getting the bulk of Biden votes if he falters in the early states, which he might will, although who might be sure. He’s pretty much a republican, with some lite-liberal policies. I think the gamble is pretty much off. F Bet: 21/1
Amy Klouchbar: She probably the new Harris at this point. She kind of reminds me of Jo Swinson, but actually doing really well in the home of Far North instead of losing their seat... sorry, I need some happiness for now. D Bet: 30/1
Andrew Yang: Yang reminds me of Bernie campaign in 2016, where one issue candidate unexpectedly see a rise and have to shift to actually win votes. I think the campaign actually did okay in that transition. Not my style. C Bet: 25/1
Cory Booker: I think he rose quite a bit, because Harris dropped out, which is good boon, because he was struggling a lot. I think he’s just too much of a fake nerd (although he probably is a real nerd) to me to endorse him B Bet: 40/1
Tulsi Gabbard: What is she doing? Like, seriously. She was trying to go both ways and then she just decided to become a republican. Sure. F+ Bet: 250/1
Tom Steyer: Someone said Steyer was an experiment on money in politics and I think that’s the best way to describe him. I have no more words. B- Bet: 150/1
Julian Castro: If there is someone I think might come from behind, I think it’s Castro. He has made the fellow Texan move of just going full-on radical, and that’s pretty satisfying for me. I think he can stay on like that. B+ Bet: 100/1
Michael Bennet: Why is he here? Like who put him here? Why isn’t dropping like any people who kind of acts like him? I have no words for him. D- Bet: 2000/1
Michael Delaney: He was the typical moderate and now he’s just that swole jock that thinks he has things figured out, but is just amusing. Yeah. C+ Bet: 1200/1
Marianne Williamson: Bane of typesetter, who have to decrease the font size by one pixel just to accommodate her and once John Hicklenlooper. Her luster fell apart long time ago and she’s going to fall apart after Iowa. D+ Bet 1500/1
Okay, I think that’s my attempt. Ugh, I can’t do this. Until the next one.

[ julian: meet me at hq ]
Ominous, yet somehow endearingly dorky. Julian’s signature quirks did little to ease the way her stomach flip-flopped as she made her way to the practice room. Zahra wasn’t too eager to see him again after their last... illuminating encounter. How was it that they revealed so much about each other, yet Zahra was still uncertain about where they stood? They didn’t rat each other out to the detectives when given the chance, a fact that made Zahra feel secure and unsteady all at once.
Julian was already in their usual practice room when she arrived with her cheeks flushed red by the bitter cold. Zahra dumped her worn out winter jacket on the floor, revealing the exercise leggings and workout tank that’d been hiding underneath it. She was never unprepared for a challenge, or whatever Julian had up his sleeve. “I supposed I should thank you for not ratting me out to the detectives,” she says in lieu of a greeting. She doesn’t mention how she’s the one who turned the detectives in Mads’s direction, and how she feels less guilty about it knowing that they’re both in the clear. For now.

There lies that Tybalt, alive off stage but far from triumphant. It feels strange to approach Julian without a sword in her own hand. Zahra is far from weaponless, strapped with an arsenal of secrets. But they feel less lethal in the presence of someone who uncovered them.
"Got any other plans for the night now that you’re dead?” Zahra’s voice is lofty, yet her southern accent is still more prominent than she’d like for it to be. It always comes out more strongly whenever she’s in his presence, or Helen’s. It’s a verbal tick she’s not a fan of, yet she can’t bring herself to despise Julian for it.
Zahra’s not above being suspicious of him, though. Julian might be a decent man, but that was a low bar to surpass in Zahra’s eyes. There are two things she has to find out: 1) What exactly did Julian think he found when he snooped through her things? and 2) Would he be tempted to reveal that information to those two detectives?
Zahra’s dark eyes stray away past the curtains and towards the audience. The detectives, unsurprisingly, don’t seem to be entranced by the show. “I’m planning to see if I can get one of those handsome studs in uniform to dance with me,” she says, as though the two of them are still friends and aren’t caught in this strange dance they’ve been stuck in since before the break.
