Growing up, summer always felt like a safe haven to me. It was a time of freedom, an escape from what felt like eternities spent within the walls of a concrete building. It was a time to fully be present in this playground we’ve been blessed with. It was the time I was most connected to myself, connected to my intuition and my body. Feeling the calming sensation of ocean swims that lasted for hours, remembering what it felt like to have imagination and creativity, & spending nights up at the lake tucked away by the fire and eased by the comfort of family surrounding me. Finding satisfaction from the gentle burn of the sun, coming home with feet covered in mud, and scraped up knees from the many adventures. The vision I’ve had for my life has always been to cultivate an endless summer. To live a life that is not defined by the constraints of societal success or governed by factors outside nature and the natural rhythm of life. Each day I feel as if I am unlearning something from the conditioning of the past… However, one thing I will always keep with me is the deep appreciation and love I have for this season. Here’s to a life that is becoming an endless summer. ☀️
