Ubicado en la región del Mar de Cortés Cabo Pulmo es una da las aéreas más importantes de la zona, ésto debido a la gran cantidad de especies marinas que viven en sus aguas, además aquí también se ubica el único arrecife de coral vivo en la parte septentrional de nuestro querido continente americano, en la península de California es el único arrecife duro, éste arrecife es uno de los tres arrecifes que quedan vivos en toda Norteamérica, se calcula que tiene al rededor de 25,000 mil años de edad. Estamos justo en el Trópico de Cáncer, en la ciudad de San José del Cabo BCS

Éste precioso Parque Nacional es una zona protegida

Las 711 hectáreas que conforman este paradisíaco lugar se encuentran protegidas desde el año 2000 y es por eso que se le conoce como Parque Nacional Marino, hoy en día y como se menciono con anterioridad es una Parque Nacional Marino y todo esto fue posible gracias a la colaboración y preocupación de los pobladores de la zona que junto con la universidad de Baja California lograron la autoridades federales se pusieran a trabajar y se lograra preservar esta joya Sur Californiana.
